Our Philosophy
Values-Based
- Each child has capability and potential (Tzelem Elohim)
- Deep respect for one another and the environment (Tikkun Olam)
- Importance of relationships, belonging, and building community (B’rit)
Focused on Social and Emotional Development
We believe that this is the foundation upon which all other learning may occur.
- Self-Expression (recognize feelings, identify emotions, ask for help, share ideas, problem-solve)
- Self-Regulation (use words to express feelings, build strategies to cope with big emotions, sustain attention, recognize need for quiet time)
- Self-Confidence (take pride in work, ideas, take risks)
Family Engagement and Celebrating Jewish Life
We celebrate Jewish life and engage families to create a partnership in the learning and to build a strong community where all are welcomed.
Our Image of the Child
- We respect the child’s innate intelligence, potential, and curiosity.
- We believe children learn best by having a variety of play-based experiences that provide them an opportunity for discovery and to build their problem-solving skills.
- We are committed to helping children become successful in their interpersonal relationships with each other. We work on social skills and conflict resolution in our everyday life with the children.
JCC Early Childhood Education includes hands-on explorations, new friends, music, and more!
Our Curriculum
Social Constructivism
We believe that children learn about the world by interacting with the people and materials in it. Therefore, it is important for us to be thoughtful and intentional in our relationships with children and in the materials that we provide for children.
- Teachers create engaging and authentic learning experiences.
- Children and teachers co-create the learning. That is, teachers work as guides and researchers alongside the children to provoke their curiosities and expand their thinking process.
- Children engage in short- and long-term projects that originate from a continuum of conversations and learning experiences in the life of the classroom.
Jewish Curriculum
We create sacred time and space to celebrate Jewish rituals and traditions, including Shabbat, Havdalah, and Jewish holidays and festivals.
Our Teachers
- Make the learning visible through documentation.
- Engage in professional development to reflect on their work with children.
- Invite parents to be a part of the learning process.
Our Philosophy
We are a values-based preschool that is guided by an early learning framework called Sheva. Sheva means “seven” in Hebrew, a number that holds significance in Jewish tradition.
The seven core principles include:
• Children as constructivist learners
• Environments as inspiration for inquiry
• Families as engaged partners
• Early Childhood Educators as Professionals
The seven Jewish lenses include:
• B’rit [relationship and belonging]
• Tzelem Elohim [capability and potential]
• Tikkun Olam [responsibility, repairing the world]
Our Curriculum (a marriage of constructivist, Reggio-inspired curriculum, and Jewish customs and culture)
We believe that children learn within the context of their environment. Teachers create interesting and thought-provoking environments where children can explore, experiment, and take risks. Within this environment, teachers are supporting a child’s social and emotional development by helping them read social cues, scaffolding play, and modeling respect and kindness towards others.
Concepts of Reggio Emilia
• Image of the child
• Environment as the third teacher
• Documentation serves as a tool for reflection and articulating the learning
• Teacher as partner and co-researcher

Teachers at the JCC Preschools have teaching certificates, AAs, BAs or MAs in early childhood education. We aim to recruit and retain highly qualified teachers by offering a competitive salary, good benefits and ongoing professional development. Our staff engages in weekly team meetings with the site director, monthly professional development meetings, and a variety of other PD opportunities throughout the year.
We design classes with specific age ranges and support the individual developmental needs of each child within the class. Whether a child is reading, requires additional help entering play or has a particular focus of interest, teachers work thoughtfully to help each child reach their fullest potential.
Toileting is part of the curriculum at all age levels. Teachers work with children to gain independence around toileting and work with parents to let them know when their child exhibits readiness.
When children are exhibiting challenging behaviors or find themselves in challenging peer interaction, teachers are careful not to shame children. Rather, the situation is used as an opportunity for education. Teachers model appropriate language and facilitate interactions and problem-solving.
We create a partnership with parents by communicating directly and openly to share information about the child. We consult with an early childhood mental health specialist who works with both teachers and families to support the child. We collaborate with speech pathologists, OTs, psychologists, and other outside professionals to support the needs of the child.
We create a series of protocols that are aligned with Marin County Public Health to ensure that our practices and the environment is as healthy and safe as possible.
Enrollment opens to the public on January 1st. There is a $100 non-refundable application fee to hold your child’s spot. Then, there is no other financial obligation until we send contracts in early March. Currently, enrolled children and their siblings have priority. We will let you know if we are placing you on a waitlist. Families are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Note: Our programs are 5-days (M-F) for all age groups. We do not offer a part-time option.

Since enrolling at Guidepost, my daughter’s independence has increased, she’s learned skills to more effectively express her emotions when she’s upset, and she has learned so many things! Each day on our drive home she tells me about her daily artwork, the fun playground, and the new lessons she learned. Aside from the education component, the community is phenomenal. The school has hosted multiple virtual events, including pumpkin painting and hot cocoa in October and a book fair!
“The best decision we have made”
Enrolling our daughter at Guidepost has been THE BEST decision we have made. We were nervous because she is so young and due to COVID, hadn’t been around many other children or had any experience in a school environment but the administrators and guides at Guidepost were welcoming, patient, helpful and kind. After only 3 weeks, our daughter LOVES school and can’t wait to go each morning. And we see her developing new skills in front of our eyes. We could not be happier with our experience at Guidepost!

Saint-Raphael
The French Riviera has been inhabited since time immemorial. The Romans often visited these lands, and Saint-Raphael was already a resort town at that time (this is evidenced by the ruins of a Roman villa with thermal baths preserved in the city). The era of Julius Caesar marked the first important stage when the settlement, then called Epulias (translated as “celebration”), turned into a thriving resort. It was a favorite vacation spot of the Roman aristocracy. After the fall of the empire, Saint-Raphael was forgotten for a long time, and only in the XII century, when the Knights Templar settled here, the city began its slow revival. In some sources, Saint-Raphael has been known as a city since 1043. It is to this period that the Church, dedicated to the Archangel Raphael and also called the Church of the Templars, dates back. At the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, two more important historical events took place here: the triumphant return of Napoleon after the Egyptian company (1799) and his exile to the island of Elba 15 years later. Since the 19th century, the city has begun to attract those who want to relax and have fun. In 1864, the former editor of the newspaper Le Figaro presented Saint-Raphael as a wonderful resort. It was on this recommendation that Maupassant, Berlioz and Dumas visited the city. And after them, the entire social elite of the country, captivated by the charm of this small city, reached out to Saint-Raphael. Later, Antoine de Saint-Exupery, the artist Jean-Louis Amon and many, many others liked to relax here.
2014
I knew absolutely nothing about this city until I was going to visit Saint-Tropez. A railway passes through Saint-Raphael and then it goes to Marseille. It turned out that it was in Saint-Raphael that it would be necessary to transfer to a bus or a boat. A ticket from Cannes to Saint-Raphael costs from 7.2 € (if you save money). Travel time is from 20 to 40 minutes. The frequency of trains is quite good – far from 1-2 per day. There are very few passengers on the train. The train passes such stations, the names of which I have not heard. And the stations themselves are empty, almost no one gets on them, no one gets on. And here is the Gare de Saint-Raphaël Valescure train station. Then you need to look for the bus station – it turns out to be literally opposite the railway station (only go through the overpass).
Railway station
It turns out that the next bus will be only an hour and a half later (at 13:00 and then at 13:40). As I understand it, tickets today (on Sunday) can be bought either at the machine or from the bus driver). I have time to explore this town. I did not plan, but not to stay at an empty bus station. Haven’t regretted the trip at all! Just a great seaside town. Very cosy, quiet and peaceful. Just what you need for relaxation! But on the other hand, I would get bored here too quickly …
Saint-Raphael
First, I rushed to a low, but apparently an old tower, it is located very close to the bus and railway station. Here is the archaeological museum of Saint-Raphael (Musée Archéologique de Saint-Raphaël). Today it is closed, a visit to the tower is included in the museum’s exposition.
Museum of Archeology
Literally here, small crooked streets and small gnarled houses begin nearby. It must be assumed that this is the historical center of the city. I doubt that stone houses have survived from the Middle Ages. Most likely, this is a very carefully made stylization of the Middle Ages. I go further – apparently the city is not so small. Houses are getting bigger, large squares, cinemas are appearing. The appearance of the city is changing to a more modern one.
Medieval stylization
Heading towards the center (Center Ville) along Avenue Général Leclerc. I am literally fascinated by this French “province”. Everything in Paris is big and monumental. And here everything is small, neat, carefully preserved. Only in such towns you can feel the spirit of the France that we like so much – from the time of the Musketeers, Cardinal Desciers, French kings…
Hotel
The local river Pedigal can surprise only the guests of the city, the locals are already used to this. Now it occupies the most modest channel, made for it in concrete, but there is also a channel made of concrete, but much larger. I can assume that during the rainy season, when large volumes of water descend from the surrounding mountains, the river becomes stormy and “full-flowing”. The local population simply does not imagine the concept of a “full-flowing river” that we are accustomed to…
Pedigal River
Passing by local confectioneries, I can’t help but enjoy the beauty of the work of local craftsmen. They are especially successful with chocolate creations. There is still something left from the Easter theme, but there are also new products. There are no problems with filming – everyone smiles and invites you to shoot whatever your heart desires. Some stores are closed today, but some have already opened – trade laws in France are gradually softening. I remember those times when everything and everywhere was closed! Although, maybe in Paris everything remained the same.
Pastry shop window
Along Avenue des Iscles, back to the center, Place Sadi Carnot. Here is the city hall (Mairie de Saint-Raphaël). The building is quite modern, but in the style of “antique”. Here, as in a real big city, everything moves very quickly, works and moves.
City Hall
Only everything around is like a “miniature”: repaired, neat, literally licked and polished. The houses in the “city center” are an original mixture of French architectural styles. The greenery around is mixed: Mediterranean (palms) and familiar to us (traditional trees).
Rue Liberta
From the City Hall I went along Boulevard Félix Martin straight towards the sea. Numerous food establishments and shops with various goods are concentrated around the boulevard. I’m looking at pastries and confectionery again. Around the usual business life flows.
Felix Martin Boulevard
Between the houses I see a dome, two towers and a gilded figure. Most likely – this is the Cathedral, and the figure is the heavenly patron of the city – Saint Raphael. The cathedral is named after Our Lady of Victory (Basilique Notre Dame de la Victoire). Once at the cathedral, I understand that I have to cross to the other side of the street to take a picture of it – it is very tall and beautiful.
Basilica of Our Lady of Victory
Opposite the cathedral there is a small square with several monuments. Most likely (judging by the memorial plaques with a list of surnames and names), this is a place of commemoration of the citizens of the city who died for France. And, as always, inscriptions: for rights, for freedom…
Monument to the Fallen
I’m returning to the cathedral. Some kind of event is being prepared here (either the baptism of children, or communion). With pleasure I walked around the cathedral from the side – it has a very beautiful dome. Yes, the style is interesting. Most likely – a remake, but interesting. I still can’t get used to seeing palm trees from the cathedral…
Basilica of Our Lady of Victory
There are not too many interesting things inside the cathedral – from the outside it is much more original. I didn’t notice any decoration inside, with the exception of stained-glass windows. Maybe these are just my impressions. There was no time to stay to listen to the organ that would accompany the upcoming church ceremony.
In the Basilica of Our Lady of Victory
The cathedral is a stone’s throw from the embankment. A most beautiful place, planted with still clumsy naked maples, where greenery is just beginning to break through. As I understand it, this is the most popular place for walks for both citizens and guests of the city. From here you can see numerous modern buildings that are located along the entire embankment and occupied most of the surrounding hills by the sea. I ended up on the Promenade René Coty.
René Coty Promenade
Children’s carousels are literally a feature of the Côte d’Azur. There are also musicians, and souvenir dealers, and sellers of perfumery and cosmetics (the most popular is soap, a piece – 2.5 €, and then – the more you buy, the cheaper it is). I smelled all the options – the most interesting for me with the aroma of lavender and verbena. I decided to turn along the Corniche Roland Garros embankment.
Corniche Roland Garros
I also noticed the local Casino. Nothing special, but almost every famous French city on the Cote d’Azur has a casino. And there are no problems that the local population is losing money here, residents are committing suicide, etc. Here it is part of the local culture, as well as an excellent filler of the budget due to gambling tourists. The main thing is to want to organize the process, and not drive profitable establishments into the open field…
Casino
For about ten minutes I just stood on the embankment and enjoyed the view. This place is called Baie de Saint-Raphaël – Bay of San Raphael. The beauty around is simply unreal. Also, the weather was right. Most likely, not only San Rafael, but also all the surrounding settlements are considered popular holiday destinations for tourists. Lucky for someone to live in such a glorious part of Europe.
San Rafael Bay
Literally nearby is some kind of building (apparently parking for cars) on the roof of which there is a rather big botanical garden. Or, as is customary here, it is a square or Bonaparte Square (Square Bonaparte). There are not many plants here, but they are very nicely put together and matched in color.
Square Bonaparte
Walking here, you can see not only the sea from one side, but also the bay where boats and yachts are moored and the city itself. Excellent vacation spot. It is always cool here – there is always a wind from the sea. And at the same time, you can enjoy the beauty of plants.
Bonaparte Square
From the Bonaparte Square you can clearly see the city itself and the Basilica of Our Lady of Victory. It is from here that the Old Port (Vieux Port) is best viewed. True, I didn’t notice anything old here – everything is new, beautiful and sparkling. And even more is being built here: berths, what buildings on the water, the embankment.
Old Port
I couldn’t help but see a beautiful alley of ancient trees on the opposite side of the Old Port. This place is called Promenade Commandant Guilbaud. When I was on this alley, I immediately realized that this is the MOST POPULAR place in San Rafael. At least for tourists. Here, in the shade of trees, people walk, and bars, restaurants, cafes, eateries and other similar establishments are continuously located nearby.
Promnad Commandan Guillebo
As in Copenhagen, this place in St. Raphael can be called the longest bar in the region. I was especially struck by the Pinocchio cafe, where the choice of ice cream varieties was just huge – there were several refrigerated display cases with this delicacy in a row. Even gelateria in Italy (shops selling ice cream) cannot always compete with the assortment of this cafe.
Café “Pinocchio”
On the way back I wandered a bit through the narrow streets, but by chance I met the local market. Ready-made dishes in one of the showcases are even more beautiful . .. The town left a very pleasant feeling. And with such a positive charge of energy, I went to Saint-Tropez. It turned out that it becomes difficult to meet living people a little away from the central streets and the embankment – there is almost no one around.
Restaurant window On the way back from Saint-Tropez to Cannes, I had half an hour of free time (waiting for the train). And I decided to spend this time on a walk to the sea – just a couple of small blocks to the embankment. Music was still playing here, merry-go-rounds were spinning, soap and other souvenirs were being sold, numerous eateries were open, tourists were walking… Or maybe not. After all, this place is simply created in order to stroll slowly along the embankments, taste local delicacies, enjoy wine and cakes. And if you’re lucky, then take part in some local holiday. And besides, of course, this is a great opportunity to visit small seaside towns, having traveled all around Saint-Raphael.

Saint-Raphaël (Saint-Raphael), French Riviera
Saint-Raphaël (Saint-Raphael) is a popular seaside resort on the Cote d’Azur of France, located near Fréjus (only 3 km), about 40 km from Cannes (about 25 minutes by train) and 50 km south of west of Nice (approximately 1 hour by train or car). This is a small town (about 33 thousand inhabitants). Saint-Raphael and the older town of Fréjus form a single urban agglomeration Fréjus Saint-Raphaël, but each town has its own railway station!
The popularity of Saint-Raphael began in the second half of 19century, when the town came under the influence of mayor Felix Martin and writer Alphonse Carr. Thanks to their efforts and its mild Mediterranean climate, Saint-Raphael has become a popular seaside resort among artists, athletes and politicians.
Weather in Saint-Raphael:
Getting to Saint-Raphael:
If you are flying, it is better to fly to Nice airport. It is closer. But the cost of tickets will be comparable to a trip from Marseille (train from Marseille – approx. 1:40, ticket from 16 – 18 €, train from Nice – 53 minutes, ticket approx. 15 €). Direct bus from Nice airport – 20 € (approx. 1:15 on the way).
Since Saint-Raphael is a small town next to the larger and older Frejus, it may be more convenient to get through Frejus, from where there are many direct buses and trains to Saint-Raphael (by train – 3 – 4 min, 1.40 €, by bus — 15 min).
The train station (Saint-Raphaël Valescure) is located in the city centre. Directly behind it is the bus station (Gare Routiere).
From April to October, les Bateaux de Saint-Raphaël organizes about 6 boat trips daily towards Saint-Tropez (April to early November, ticket 15€ one way).
Taxi Saint-Raphael: website, tel. 0892972555 – Raphael
The Tourist Office is located next to McDonald’s, very close to Notre Dame and the Grand Casino.

View Saint-Raphael:
Nestled between the red lava peaks of the Massif de l’Estérel and the forested hills of the Massif des Maures, Saint-Raphael has been inhabited since ancient Roman times. when rich families came here as a resort. In the Middle Ages, the city was hit by numerous barbarian attacks and Saracen invasions. But attention to the town was drawn only in 1799, when the proud Napoleon landed in the small port of Saint-Raphael during his return from Egypt. Fifteen years later, in the same port, the deposed emperor was loaded onto a ship that sent him into exile on the island of Elba.
In 1864, Alphonse Carr, journalist and former editor of Le Figaro, helped restore Saint-Raphael’s fame as a seaside resort. Duma, Maupassant and Berlioz came here from Paris on his recommendation. Charles Gounod also came here, who in 1866 wrote his last significant work here – the opera Romeo and Juliet. Its premiere took place in 1867 and was marked by great success – within two years, 90 performances.
Unfortunately, most of the beautiful villas and grand hotels of the belle époque era were destroyed during the Second World War, when Saint-Raphael became a key point for the landing of the Allied army. Currently, some of the mansions have been rebuilt, while others have been replaced with modern hotels and buildings. However, Saint-Raphael still boasts wide beaches, good restaurants and hotels, and the typical atmosphere of other Côte d’Azur resorts – at a significantly lower price. This has turned Saint-Raphael into one of the richest coastal towns, attracting more family tourists than wealthy Parisians.
Saint-Raphael City Map:
Saint-Raphael Beaches:
Most tourists come to Saint-Raphael for the opportunity to swim on the local beaches. The best beach in town (some rocks, some sand) is located between Vieux Port and Santa Lucia.
The closest beach to the city center is Plage du Veillat . It’s a long strip of sand. There are a lot of people here, but it is convenient for families with children. Beach 9 is a 5-minute walk from the center of Saint-Raphael0005 Plage Beau Rivage, whose name is misleading, because it is covered with a layer of smooth and even light gray pebbles, which can be uncomfortable to lie on without a towel.
History buffs can enjoy a 7 km excursion east of Saint-Raphael to Plage du Débarquement , part pebbly and part sandy beach. It was here that the Allied forces landed on August 15, 1944, capturing the southern part of occupied France, thereby hastening the end of World War II. There are usually few people here, except perhaps for the highest season in July – August.
San Raphael’s answer to the decadence of nearby Saint-Tropez is most visible at the municipal’s official nudist beach, Plage de St-Ayguls , 10 kilometers west of the city centre. The beach, surrounded by a thick wall of reeds growing along a swampy promenade, is a short, well-marked trail from the center of the simple fishing village of St. Aiguls.

Sights of Saint-Raphael:
Saint-Raphael is a small resort town, the sights of which can be seen in half a day.
The city is divided into two parts by railway lines. The historic Vieille Ville (Old Town) is located in the continental part of the paths (on the opposite side of the sea). Here you can see the ancient architecture of Saint-Raphael – Eglise des Templiers (place de la Vieille Eglise, Quartier des Templiers) of the 12th century with the ruins of an ancient Roman aqueduct in the courtyard (see description below, in the tourist route around Saint-Raphael).
- The 10 best ancient monuments of Provence
Next to the temple is Museum of Underwater Archeology (Musée d’Archéologie Sous-Marine) , which displays amphoras, anchors and ancient diving equipment, as well as other interesting finds found during archaeological excavations of the seabed near Saint-Raphael . The entrance is free.
Another important church in Saint-Raphael, Notre-Dame-de-la-Victoire (boulevard Félix-Martin) was completed in 1887.
The wide promenade along the seafront is lined with numerous hotels and restaurants, as well as statues dedicated to Félix Martin (mayor of Saint-Raphael in the 19th century, tirelessly popularizing the city as a resort) and Alphonse Carr (artist 19- century, local educator). At the Old Port, in honor of Napoleon’s return from Egypt to France, pyramid (avenue du Commandant-Guilbaud) was installed.

Orange Route – Saint-Raphael Historic Center:
The numbers on the map above are:
1. Medieval Church
The church stands out for its 12th century fortifications and 14th century clock tower. The bas-relief was made in the Middle Ages, and the crypt has been preserved from the Carolingian era. From the tower, 22 m high, offers an excellent panoramic view of the city. Entrance to the church is free.
This 12th century church is the third to stand on this site. Two earlier Carolingian churches at the base of the current building were discovered during excavations. The watchtower of the Templars rises above one of the chapels. At one time, guards were located here, which tracked ships at sea and signaled in case of a threat. In the event of an attack by pirates, the church served as a refuge and fortress.
In the courtyard of the church, you can see fragments of a Roman aqueduct, which once brought water from Fréjus. You can visit the church from June to September from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to noon and from 2 to 5:30 pm. Ironically, there are no masses held in this church on Sunday – it is a consecrated church, but it is classified as something like an archaeological, not a religious monument.
2. Prehistoric and Maritime Archaeological Museum
The museum contains local finds and collections of prehistoric finds, as well as ancient Roman ruins found during maritime archaeological excavations. At one time, there was a legend among the people about the “lost city”, located near the banks of Saint-Raphael. The famous French submariner Jacques Cousteau came to investigate this topic, but instead of a sunken city, he discovered an ancient Roman ship that sank with a full load of building materials.

Europe’s first tomotherapy
In 2004, the first tomotherapy machine in Europe was installed in the San Rafael Radiation Therapy Department. With its help, doctors carry out targeted irradiation of tumors with minimal impact on healthy tissues.
Oncology Department
The oncology department has 300 beds for inpatients.
Patients are treated by a team of doctors, which consists of diagnosticians, medical oncologists, immunologists, surgeons, radiotherapists. Every week they meet for a consultation and discuss complex oncological cases in order to choose an effective method of treatment.
Every year, 9,000 cancer patients are treated in San Rafael, 6,000 of whom undergo surgery to remove the tumor.
Doctors perform radiotherapy of tumors on a tomotherapy machine. It irradiates the neoplasm layer by layer and minimally affects healthy cells. In most cases, this allows patients to completely avoid side effects such as nausea, extreme fatigue, heart and lung disorders. Every year, 2,000 patients receive radiotherapy at the San Rafael Oncology Department.
Department of oncohematology
Patients with malignant diseases of the hematopoietic system are treated here.
The department’s doctors perform bone marrow transplantation (BMT) for those patients whose hematopoietic function is impaired due to high-dose chemotherapy or other aggressive treatment.
Oncohematologists perform 140 BMT every year. 60% of them are allogeneic, that is, the material is taken from a healthy donor, and 40% are autologous, when the patient himself is the donor.
Doctors in front of San Rafael Medical Center
Department of Neurosurgery
The Department of Neurosurgery of San Donato has 49 beds for inpatients.
The department has 3 operating rooms, one of which has a Gamma Knife for radiosurgery of neoplasms without excision of the skin. Since 1994, more than 10,000 patients have been treated with this unit.
In October 2018, San Rafael surgeons performed a first-of-its-kind surgery to correct spina bifida on an unborn baby. Spina bifida (spina bifida) can lead to the development of neurological diseases and even to paralysis of the lower extremities.
Doctors performed a unique procedure in utero at the 22nd week of fetal life, the operation lasted more than 2 hours.

Department of Cardiac Surgery
The department’s surgeons specialize in the treatment of atrial fibrillation and heart failure with minimally invasive methods – through small incisions or with a catheter, without incisions at all. Compared to open surgery, these techniques are safer; after such interventions, the patient does not experience severe pain, and recovery is faster.
Every year San Rafael cardiac surgeons perform 1,400 heart and 2,000 vascular surgeries.
Department of Gastroenterology
Every year, the department’s doctors perform 2,000 interventions and 5,000 outpatient procedures.
In the treatment of gastrointestinal pathologies, doctors use laparoscopy – an operation through 3-4 punctures in the peritoneum up to 1-3 cm. leaves extensive scars.
Breast Center
The department’s doctors specialize in the treatment of benign and malignant breast tumors. It also conducts therapy with sparing techniques for pregnant patients.
Doctors perform 570 surgeries every year. In 85% of cases, patients manage to save the breast. In other cases, surgeons perform mastectomy and breast reconstruction using implants or the patient’s own fat.
According to the department’s statistics, the average duration of hospitalization after surgery is 1-2 days.
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
According to the clinic, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is the leading one in the country in the surgical treatment of malignant and benign tumors of the female reproductive system. Every year, doctors perform 1,200 surgeries.
On the basis of the department, obstetricians-gynecologists carry out pregnancy and delivery. Patients with infertility and difficulty conceiving are being treated here. Doctors perform 2,600 in vitro fertilization procedures every year.

There are dates that remain forever in history. May 9 is just such a day! All that is needed from us is memory and gratitude. In the garden we make holiday cards and write on them “Thank you for the Victory!”

Do-it-yourself pizza
We love cooking classes! This time we made our own vegetable pizza: with the help of a teacher, we kneaded the dough, prepared the filling and beautifully decorated our culinary masterpieces.
ABC concept
A unique development concept helps develop a bright and confident personality. We have combined health care, the formation of intelligence and communication skills of children into a harmonious system – ABC.
-
Abilities (intelligence)
Development of intelligence through games and with pleasure.
-
Body (health)
Formation of a child’s strong immunity and care for a healthy lifestyle.
-
Communication (socialization)
Building relationships with others and developing teamwork skills.
Our advantages
Video surveillance
All our gardens are equipped with video surveillance systems. You can see what your child is doing at any time through the smartphone application, which is especially important during the adaptation period.
Best educators
Mandatory requirements for candidates: higher pedagogical education, work experience, ability to find an approach to the child. All educators undergo regular training at the Sun School corporate university.
English
Our gardens are bilingual, which means that afternoon games and educational activities are held in English only.
Safety
A safe environment is the basis of children’s space: special furniture without sharp corners made of environmentally friendly materials, certified toys, hypoallergenic detergents. Particular attention is paid to preventive measures: the premises are regularly ventilated, the air is disinfected using a recirculator, quartzization is carried out in accordance with SanPiN.
Healthy food
A balanced five meals a day: two breakfasts, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The individual characteristics of the child are taken into account: allergies, food intolerances. The menu has been developed taking into account the current SanPiN and collections of recipes recommended for feeding children in kindergartens.
Children’s insurance
Children’s accident insurance system operates in kindergartens. Insurance coverage is valid not only in the garden, but also anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day.
Our team:
-
Mary
English teacher
Education: higher pedagogical.
“My name is Mary, and I’m a proud preschool teacher with 10+ years of experience. There are so many wonderful things about my profession: to witness the wonderful ‘firsts’, to see so many sincere smiles, to know that I am a crucial part of each child’s development every single day. All this and many more gives me the strength to wake up every day and rush to work to make this world better.”
-
Jane
English-speaking teacher
Education: higher linguistic.
“As a teacher of foreign languages I am often asked why I have chosen to work with preschoolers. I enjoy working with them. I admire children’s endless energy, honesty and creativity. Watching them grow, improving their English brings me joy.”
-
Lily
Senior group teacher
Education: higher psychological and pedagogical
“At a conscious age, I decided that I wanted to connect my life with pedagogy, like my grandmother. She graduated from Moscow State Pedagogical University with a degree in Psychology. I worked with difficult children, which helps me to this day to more deeply consider the personality of the child, his needs and abilities. I believe that the best way to help a child become a good person is to make him a happy child!”
-
Elizabeth
Russian speaking teacher
Education: in the specialty “Primary school teacher”, continues to study as a speech therapist-defectologist
“Each of us remembers the first teacher in his life, and he always remembers his students. The first teacher not only lays the foundation for further development in the child, but also gives a piece of his heart and soul. When I was at school, I decided that I would be a teacher. My principle is to help the child open up, instill confidence in him, make him feel his self-worth in educational activities”
-
Xenia
Middle group teacher
“Children are interesting to watch and have contact with them, because children are real emotions, genuine and alive, this is often not enough for adults. I learn from children and they learn from me. After all, if you are on friendly terms with children, they begin to copy you and take an example from you. My task is to show them and teach them how to communicate and how to relate to life and people around!” -
Tatiana
Nursing Assistant with Medical Education
Education: in the specialty “Nurse”
“Working with children means solving complex and simple tasks at the same time every day. Finding hundreds of different answers to the same questions and all of them will be honest. Surprise and be surprised, teach and learn, laugh and be sad, and then laugh again, fall and rise together, see yourself reflected in big, honest, trusting eyes, catch every mood and help you live it.0947
This is a joy and a challenge at the same time. And that’s what my kids do for me. And I try to reciprocate them”
-
Alina
Nursing assistant with a medical background
Education: Medical College with a degree in Nursing.
“Working with children is one of the most difficult tasks, but also one of the most enjoyable, fun and positive. Helping children in their endeavors, taking care of them and supporting them – this is what will always make me happy, and when you get their unconditional love, trust and happy faces in return, what could be better?” -
Irina
Junior group teacher
Education: higher psychological and pedagogical.
“By education, I am a preschool teacher with 25 years of experience. Working in a kindergarten, I never doubted the correct choice of profession, but every day I am more and more convinced of how difficult and responsible it is to raise children. You are trusted most dear, they hope for you, they expect understanding and devotion from you. And you should always be in a good mood, always on top, be able to sing, dance, play, draw, etc. Classes with children give me pleasure, and I am grateful that I can now gladly give my love to children.”

Vanya’s mother
Beautiful garden! Great team of educators! The child feels comfortable there, and this is the most important thing. They work according to their own development program, which is very interesting and entertaining. I was pleasantly surprised by the results of the child in English.

Maria, mother of Eva
This is our first kindergarten, and it will forever remain in our hearts. Absolutely the cutest place.
The garden is small, due to which an atmosphere of special intimacy is created.
Children from different groups know each other and constantly communicate with each other. Everyone is like one big family)
Visited the garden for eight months and had to leave due to moving.
I would like to say a big thank you to Irina, the teacher of the younger group, for putting her soul into the upbringing of each baby. For her endless flow of energy and imagination in the learning process. We will miss you very much! -
Julia, mother of Lukas
I am very grateful to the kindergarten teachers and director Anastasia for the warmth and care for the one and a half years that we went to the kindergarten. My son went to kindergarten at the age of three, his adaptation went very smoothly, he was ready for kindergarten and joined the English-language program well, the groups were small. I fell in love with the teachers from the Russian half of the day Ksenia and Tatyana.
Initially, I did not have any special expectations for the English language, and I did not support this process in any way at home, a friendly environment in general was more important to me, because a guy with character and, it seems to me, with abilities that are revealed in a friendly environment . It was a pleasant surprise for me when our family, unexpectedly for us, left for an English-speaking country in 2022 and it turned out that my son talks to people in the elevator and public transport and can even suggest some words that I forgot. He can keep himself busy while riding the subway/tram, show him toys or ask him something.
The process of learning the language has begun and there is a good starter kit! I am very pleased with the kindergarten as a whole and its results in terms of English. Now we are in an English-speaking country, and the base that the son received in the garden gives more opportunities for choosing gardens on the spot: we can go to a Russian or English garden.
Very grateful for this time in the garden and the attention we got there and the more flexible options for our son’s future!

Anastasia, Teona’s mother
Wonderful kindergarten! For a long time they doubted whether to send their daughter to kindergarten at 1.5 years old. Now I understand that it was the right decision and we were very lucky with the kindergarten. Superprofessionals work here, who are passionate about their work, sincerely love children, and demonstrate an individual approach to each child. Excellent daily routine, nutrition, development for the child. Our baby has made great progress in the first month. Going to kindergarten is always a pleasure. Many thanks to director Anastasia for her participation, understanding, attention to all children and parents) And many thanks to the teachers of the younger group, Irina and Elizabeth! You are doing an amazingly important great job, and I am truly impressed with the love, care and dedication you treat all the little ones. I wish prosperity to this wonderful kindergarten.

Mother Karniki
I commend the school on the excellent communication and way with which the whole response to the unsettling time has been handled and our daughter have been looked after. I had absolutely no problems with her going to school as I felt very confident. When she joined school she was nil in speaking Russian but in a couple of months she was able to learn and developed Russian speaking skills… excellent job done by all teachers and staff. They are kind, caring and strong in the individual day-to-day routine of a child.

Elena Vvedenskaya, mother of Vera and Sasha
Favorite kindergarten of our children. An interesting program, qualified teachers, small groups, individual and super-individual approach, English with native speakers, interesting leisure activities, master classes, new friends – all this is our Sun School Shabolovskaya.
And a wonderful responsive client-oriented director. -
Yulia Naumova, Masha’s mother
A wonderful kindergarten in every sense! The director is competent in all matters and takes into account the smallest detail.
Very good teachers, and indeed all the staff of the garden!
Only the most wonderful memories of the summer spent at Sun School Shabolovskaya remained! -
Maria Kharina, Dani’s mother
We are very pleased with our Sun School kindergarten, a 7-year-old child walks with pleasure. A very interesting educational program, so many important topics are discussed with children, young educators, kind and caring, a native English educator works. There is the possibility of video surveillance, a lot of developing activities, regularly hold entertainment events for children on holidays.
-
Maria Komarova, mother of Diana
Great kindergarten! Very caring and responsible educators, love children and take good care of them. A child of 6 years old did not stay long in this garden, but he fell in love with it very much. They do a lot with children, the Sun School has its own wonderful program for the development of children and preparation for school, the child also went to all additional classes with pleasure (football, karate, ballet and drawing), and at the end of the school year there was a dance performance on the big stage) . And of course, high-quality English language teaching!
Many thanks to our beloved garden! -
Maria, mother of Yegor Vorobyov
Nice small garden, English and Russian teachers work in shifts. There are music and general physical education classes. For my allergic child, the approach is flexible – both in terms of nutrition and regimen. A very attentive director of the garden, who really cares that the children are comfortable, and parents – calmly for them.

Natalia, mother of Alla
Our Allochka has been visiting the garden since February 2020, from the age of 3 years and 2 months. Our girl is sensitive, vulnerable and very active. High-quality leisure for the child and education, strengthening of independent skills – this is what we expected from the kindergarten. But we got so much more! In less than a year, Alla has become an adult and reasonable lady who tries to negotiate diplomatically with us if something does not suit her. Thanks to a responsive team of educators, our girl was able to easily adapt and skip into the garden! Alla is growing up as a social activist and entertainer! He comes home and tells for a long time what crafts he did, reads poetry and sings songs in English! Special thanks to the manager Anastasia for the constant feedback in real time, and not after the fact. In general, I can’t wait until I send my second girl to this wonderful kindergarten!
-
Tatyana, mother of Zhenya Kozlova
My daughter Evgenia attended Sun School for 4 months, until we left for a few months in another country, but we will definitely return upon arrival. During the time that my daughter attended the kindergarten, she began to understand a lot in English and even surprises us with dad with new words) Being currently in an English-speaking country, she is not afraid of unfamiliar speech, but communicates with people with pleasure, albeit for now only simple Yes, No, Hello, Good bye, etc. No matter how fun the child is now at sea, but every day she asks her question: when will we return to Moscow and I will go to my kindergarten?)) We are very pleased that we chose Sun School on Shabolovskaya: there is good food, attentive teachers, a variety of activities and games – a lot of pluses, but no minuses have yet been found)
-
Oksana, Lera’s mother
My daughter Lera really enjoyed spending the summer at the Sun School camp. Not once from her in the mornings from the moment of admission, we did not hear the words “I will not go to kindergarten.” Therefore, if you do not want daily kindergarten fees to be torture for you and your child, you are definitely here! There is video surveillance in the kindergarten, but you don’t need it to monitor the situation, you don’t even have to worry about it. Everyone there is so good. They will return all your children to you safe and sound, clean, cheerful and contented with life. The cameras came in handy for me only to know for sure that dinner was already over and dear Lera definitely had time to eat and you can ring the doorbell without frightening anyone 🙂

Natalia, Makar’s mom Watch video
My name is Natalia. Most recently, we brought our son Makar to Sun School Kindergarten. He just turned two years old and, just recently, I became the mother of my second son, whom we will also definitely bring here. We live in the next entrance, walked around this kindergarten, and so we wanted to see what was inside, whether it was possible to give the child away at two years old. When we entered here, the beautiful director Anastasia greeted us with a smile, and we wanted to see what is here in general and how. And Makar loved it! We were also met by our teacher Natalia, whom we simply adore. An amazing, kind, sincere person who immediately found a common language with Makar at the first meeting. Makar did not want to leave here. As a result, we decided to try to stay the next day until bedtime. I liked everything, everything was good, Makar very quickly joined the team, and we decided that we would try for a week. After a week, we realized that this was just our garden. A big help for me as for the then-to-be mother. We are so delighted that I simply have no words to express how much we like the Sun School kindergarten, the team, the kids who are just amazing, intelligent, smart and well-mannered, which Makara received so close and well. A big thank you to everyone who works at Sun School. Bring our little baby here too!
-
Olga Lempitskaya, mother of Taisiya
My daughter has been visiting Shabolovskaya Sun School for almost a year. She goes to the kindergarten with pleasure and stays all day, because it is good and interesting for her in the garden. Wonderful music lessons, developing classes, immersion in different topics, karate, chess and much more. Daily communication with a native speaker is bearing fruit: the child begins to speak English. Thank you to the whole team for their sincerity and professionalism!
-
Alexandra Chernova (Arina’s mother) Watch video
I love our garden for my calm morning, because Arina just rushes there every day. I think that this is largely due to the atmosphere that prevails in the garden, and the teachers, who are very reverent and with great love for children. Thank you!

Ekaterina Grigoryeva Watch video
Hello! Our little one has been going to Sun School for two weeks now. Initially, I generally rejected the idea of sending the child to kindergarten, because he is very homely, but now I see many positive changes. For example, he became more sociable, more independent. I stopped being afraid of children, and before that there really was such a problem. And started talking more. It’s great that we found this garden, and our baby began to communicate more. Otherwise, it seemed to me that without socialization in a group of other children, the process of growing up with us slowed down a bit. But now everything is running its course. We are very, very happy!

Natalya Simakova Watch video
We visit the Sun School kindergarten on Shabolovka. When they came to the open day, the child was immediately attracted to classes, he really likes everything here, walks with pleasure. I even noticed changes: he starts speaking English, comes home, sings songs that they study here. The teachers are good, they find their own approach to each child. The child painlessly passed the adaptation, without tears, he is very eager to come here. Great staff, teachers, classes. From time to time I watch on CCTV cameras how everything is going. I am very satisfied with the garden!
-
Evgeniya Watch video
My name is Evgenia, I’m Margarita’s mother. We all really like it. We chose a kindergarten for a long time and settled on the Sun School, because these kindergartens have a unique system of teaching, immersing the child in an English-speaking environment. We really liked the interaction of the English-speaking teacher with the child. The ABC method suited us very well, because it is the most competent and natural upbringing of a child, his development from an intellectual and physical point of view, and, of course, instilling communication skills! We recommend this kindergarten, come! We are small, but very good!
