The new academic year is approaching. Every September, for ten years now, schoolchildren go to school, and this fact is known to everyone, but few know that in September 2012 not only children, but also adults will go to school, united by one common desire – to take to raise a child left without parental care.

Federal Law No. 351-FZ dated November 30, 2011 amended the Family Code of the Russian Federation, according to which, from September 1, 2012, mandatory training of citizens wishing to adopt a child without parental care into their family, the so-called school of adoptive parents, is introduced . The purpose of the school of adoptive parents is to familiarize candidates for adoptive parents, guardians (trustees), adoptive parents with their rights and obligations, as well as ensuring the psychological readiness of citizens to accept a child into their family.

In order to organize this work, since 2012, the Ministry of Education of the Moscow Region has established a center for supporting foster families on the basis of the state educational institution of higher professional education “Moscow State Regional Social and Humanitarian Institute” in the city of Moscow. History of the school

Year 1964 is the year the school was founded. The school was located in a brick two-story building of a historical building at the address: st. Dzerzhinsky №43. The first director of the school, Feodosia Stepanovna Kulik, led the school from the day it was founded until moving in 1976 to another building, which still houses the educational institution. Year 1976 – the boarding school was relocated to the premises of the former special school at 18 Surnova Street. The building of the school is a cultural heritage. Built in 1900. Prior to being converted to a special school, the building was a special school that housed juvenile delinquents. The building required repair, partial reconstruction. Year 1980 – Shandurova Albina Georgievna was appointed director of the school. The graduates of the school were employed at the enterprises of the city. They willingly hired girls at the Uzory garment factory with the provision of a hostel. Young men were also employed at the enterprises of the city (furniture factory, shoe factory). A close-knit team works at the school, any aspect of the institution’s activities is aimed at improving the educational process, creating comfortable conditions for children to stay in a boarding school. On the basis of the school, seminars were held for directors of correctional schools (city, regional, zonal). The experience of the teacher Sokolova L.M. was presented at the All-Union Conference at the Institute of Defectology on the topic: “Organization of industrial practice at the base enterprise. ” Previously, this experience in the form of a report was presented at the regional ped. readings on March 1984 years old.

On the basis of the school, students of the ESGAO have pedagogical practice, open lessons are held for students, students of advanced training courses for IPKRO. Many teachers participate in the work of the regional medical-psychological-pedagogical commission as defectologists in the selection of children for training in a correctional school, and traveled to certain parts of the region. Year—19In 1990, the Cosmos school camp was opened in the village of Moty, Shelekhovsky District. Sokolova L.M. worked as the head of the camp for 10 years. Graduates of the boarding school continue their education in the vocational schools of the city and the region.

Year—2006 the status of the school changes. From now on, orphans and children left without parental care study at the boarding school.
