WATCH ME GROW
Stay connected to your child anywhere, anytime.
FUMP practices an open-door policy for staff and families. FUMP is proud to be partnered with WatchMeGrow Video Streaming which allows Administration to observe, educate and share day to day opportunities and moments in the classrooms, gym and playgrounds!
Traditions, Education, Observations, Accountability and Trustworthiness are some of the many reasons First United Methodist Preschool & Childcare shines and sets apart from other facilities! 70 years strong in our CENLA area.
How does it work?
Cameras are installed throughout the school in classrooms, playgrounds, and some common areas. The video is streamed live over the internet and parents have secure, individual usernames and passwords that give them video access to the areas where their children learn and play. They watch video from their desktop computers, or use the WatchMeGrow app from their phone or tablet.
Is it safe?
Yes. All data is encrypted. To watch streaming video through WatchMeGrow, you must be approved by your childcare center. WatchMeGrow is the only streaming video service for childcare that provides this level of security.
Why would parents want to use streaming video to watch their child?
Answers vary for every individual. Many parents like the comfort of knowing they can see the fun their child is having in their classroom during the day. Some parents set up accounts for out-of-town grandparents to stay connected to little ones in our care. Parents who are deployed as active-duty military for long durations rely on streaming video to follow what their children are doing while away. Others find it helpful to check in on their child during their first day in our care or simply use it to check in when their child is having an “off” day.
Can anyone log in to see a classroom?
No. You must be the approved parent of a currently enrolled child to use the system. To get access, parents of enrolled children sign up for WatchMeGrow. Administrators at the childcare center approve them before they can have access. If there are out-of-town grandparents or deployed parents who wish to use it, parents can set up additional access for them as sub-users on their accounts. Only families of children in a classroom have access to view that classroom. It is at the center’s discretion which areas users can view, such as the child’s classroom, common areas, and playgrounds
How do families sign up?
Parents of currently enrolled children can go to watchmegrow.com/signup to get started. For more information on enrolling, FUMP families can contact our administration office at 318-443-2858.

‘Login’ or ‘log in’? One word or two? This is a fairly common question among those who write in English. Let’s figure out how to do it right.
‘Login’ and ‘log in’ are not the only pair of words that cause problems. There are many more such cases:
- ‘logon’ or ‘log on’;
- ‘logout’ or ‘log out’;
- ‘signup’ or ‘sign up’;
- ‘shutdown’ or ‘shut down’;
- ‘backup’ or ‘back up’;
- ‘setup’ or ‘set up’.
How about an experiment?
Try to pronounce sentences in which the word ‘backup’ is replaced by ‘bbbbbb’:
- What is your bbbbbbb strategy?
- When did you last bbbbbbb your data?
- When did you last do a bbbbbbb ?
And in these sentences, replace ‘login’ with ‘llllll’:
- What are your llllllll details?
- Where can I llllllll to the bank’s website?
- My llllllll failed.
Did you notice any pattern? Chances are you felt some tension in the second sentence of each example. As if they lack another pause in the middle.
How should it be?
‘Backup’ or ‘back up’:
- What is your backup strategy?
- When did you last back up your data?
- When did you last do a backup ?
‘Login’ or ‘log in’:
- What are your login details?
- Where can I log in to the bank’s website?
- My login failed.
Rule
According to the rules it should be like this:
- if it is a verb, write separately: back up , log in ;
- if it is a noun, then write together: backup , login .
Is it legal to use a hyphen instead of a space? Most writers say no.
To the question about buttons
On authorization forms, you can see both ‘login’ and ‘log in’:
Since the button implies an action, ‘Log in’ would be more correct. The authorization form or tab itself can be called ‘Login’ (i.e. “Login”):
Once again: log in is an action, login is an entity.
What’s the difference?
There are no exact analogues of this rule in Russian. “Can I log in” can be successfully translated both as “can I enter my login” and as “can I log in”. But imagine a situation in which a foreigner will confuse Russian verbs and nouns:
- This morning I am breakfast .
- After to have breakfast I went to to work .
These are the peculiarities of the language. If written in any way, this can cause misunderstanding or even irritation on the part of the user. But documentation should help people, not anger them. So right?

Registration – Mail. Help
- How to create an account in Yandex Mail
- How to change your login
- How to come up with a strong password
- Special mailing address
- Phone number instead of login
Yandex ID is required to access Yandex Mail. If you don’t have one, follow these steps:
-
Open the registration page.
-
Enter your first and last name.
-
Create or select from the options provided a unique identifier (login) that you will use for authorization in Mail and other Yandex services.
Attention. After registration, you will not be able to change your login.
-
Create and remember a password to access Yandex ID. The password must be strong so that intruders cannot access your personal data.
To view the text of the password, click the icon in the password input line.
-
Enter your mobile phone number. By this number you can recover your password and receive notifications, and you can also use it as an additional login. If you want to change your phone number later, you can do so on the Phone Numbers page.
-
Enter the characters from the picture (this is protection against automatic registration).
Note. If the characters in the picture are hard to make out, click the Other code link.
-
Make sure that the item that you accept the terms of the User Agreement and consent to the processing of personal data is checked.
-
Click the Register button.
After registration, you will receive an email address that consists of your login, the @ sign and the domain name yandex.ru (or one of its domain aliases). For example, [email protected]. Domain alias is determined automatically during registration.
You can change your personal information at any time, ask a different security question, provide alternative email addresses to contact you, or edit your list of phone numbers.
You cannot change the login you created when registering with Yandex, but you can register a new one. To do this, click the Add account link in the account menu in the upper right corner of the page, and then click the Register link on the page that opens.
Attention. If you have registered a new mailbox and want to have access to your old emails, you need to set up a mail collector from the old mailbox. If you want to send emails from both addresses, you can add the old one as an additional address.
A good password is one that is difficult to guess or guess.
Never share your password with anyone to access your account. The more people who know your password, the more likely it is that an attacker will find it out.
To create a complex password, use:
What not to use as a password:
-
Passwords that you already use on other sites or applications. If someone knows, for example, your password to a social network, with this password they will try to enter not only Yandex, but also other social networks, postal services, online banks.
-
Common words (
margarita
,begemot
), as well as predictable combinations of letters (qwerty
,123456
). -
Personal data that you could have provided somewhere on the Internet: name, birthday, passport number, etc. Even the mother’s maiden name, which, it would seem, no one knows, should not be used.
If you do not want to indicate your real email address when registering in online stores, forums or other resources, add a + or + sign to your login and any word by which you can recognize this site. You should get something like this address: [email protected]. An email sent to this address will arrive in your real mailbox’s inbox. If you want messages from this address to go to another folder, then create a message processing rule.
A special postal address on Yandex will also be useful to re-register on the site. For example, if you forgot your Yandex ID password on this site and cannot recover it.
The phone number linked to the account can be used as an additional login. To do this, on the Phone numbers page, enable the Phone as login option.
Each phone number can become an additional login for only one account. At the same time, only one additional login can be connected for each account – only the main phone number can become such a login.
Let’s say you made the number +7 987 123-45-67 an additional login. Now you can:
-
Enter a phone number (numbers only, for example 79871234567) wherever you need to specify a Yandex login.
The exception is the Restore access page: on it you must enter exactly the login that you came up with during registration.
-
Use the address [email protected] as a mail alias.
To send a letter to such an address, the number can be specified in any format (without spaces) – Mail will recognize and [email protected], and [email protected].
Letters sent to this address will go to your Yandex Mail box. The address will stop working if you disable the additional login or unlink the number from the account.
If the phone number passes to another person and the new owner connects it as an additional login, the email address will also pass to him. How to avoid this:
-
If you have lost your SIM-card, restore it in the salon of a mobile operator.
