The whole staff at MKU is phenomenal. They are so friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. My kids have attended four schools collectively, and this one is hands down the best. The Reggio Emilia / Montessori approaches are actually practiced in this school, and my son is thriving here in ways he has not at his previous school. Highly recommend for childcare in this area, and I plan to send my future child here as well.

Ms. Melinda and all the ladies here are fantastic. You can tell they truly love what they do. They’re so great with the kids, including my toddler son, and also send several pictures of everything they do in class daily. I wanted a true Montessori school and they really are here.
They’ve helped guide the children on gardening, being gentle with glassware, respecting each other’s space, and it truly shows. My one year old even carries his own plate to the table now! It’s so cute!

I sometimes publish my articles in the newspaper-magazine “Lady”. Recently, my article about Tashkent was published, which is called “There is a city of gold.” nine0273 In it, I wrote about the most beloved corners of my city. Of course, I will not publish the entire article, but I want to write to you about my favorite of them. This is Tezikovka. I know that there are those abroad who were once familiar with this not very calm area. Here about it also there will be a tale. Good luck to you all dear!

Train No. 6 “Moscow – Tashkent” departed from the Kazan station of the capital of the USSR
at 0005 hours. Passengers hurried to their cars, getting tickets on the go.
Every minute, the announcer reported on the radio about the arrival or departure of a train.
In a crowd of people, a husband and wife and a little girl of six years old
were advancing towards their car. The child already knew the numbers and carefully looked at the numbering of the cars.
Finally, the girl saw the fourth car and ran ahead of her parents with a joyful exclamation.

And, thanks to my beloved Tashkent, which, like a pure spring, has always given life to me and those close to me, who has nursed me in his cradle since childhood, I want to
write about my favorite parts of the city.

Two guys rushed headlong along the dusty streets of Tezikova Dacha. Somewhere, not so far away, they could hear the sound of boots and police whistles behind them. It was very hot, and the guys had a hard time. Apparently, they have been running for quite some time. Having run behind the duvala of a small house, the guys stopped to rest a little. One of them, smaller and stockier, asked: “Well, where do we run now?” Another, barely catching his breath, replied: “Listen, Khan, we need to go to Tezikovka, there, at the flea market, we will get lost in the crowd. Yes, there was more than enough crime! Sometimes screams and shooting from rifles or pistols were heard: these were locals fighting with alien gypsies. Fights, theft, attacks on people at night – all this did not decorate Tezikovka at all, but, on the contrary, inspired panic for those who came from other areas. But the need forced people to go to the flea market to buy something cheaper for the house or sell their things. Moreover, pockets had to be held tightly: not even an hour, you will be left without money. nine0273 And we, those who were born and raised in this troubled district of Tashkent, loved it and would not exchange it for any other. Think they shot! That’s why she and Tezikovka, little Texas, where cowboys liked to take a walk, make some noise and shoot.
Once upon a time there was a large dacha of the merchant Tezikov on this place. The dacha was buried in apple orchards. But the revolution was approaching, and Tezikov decided to leave our places. He began to sell land to those who wanted it. So this huge apple orchard gradually sold out. People cut down trees and built adobe houses. A settlement was formed. nine0273 But the flea market remained for a very long time. And in Tezikov’s country house, first they made a library, then they added a cinema – KOR (October Revolution Club), not far from which there was a park of railway workers, where our dads and mothers, uncles and aunts ran to dance.
I remember how we loved to go to KOR to see new films, and before the screening started, we would run all the way to the bazaar and drink sweet soda that Aunt Zoya sold us.
The shop assistants on Tezikovka were simply unique: seeing that you did not have enough money to buy, they would lend food, knowing that you would not deceive them. nine0273 During our school years, the whole class often walked in the evenings along the streets of our “creepy, gangster” district, not at all worrying that we might run into hooligans.
Why be afraid if many of these “terrible” guys studied with us at the same school?
Now there is almost no Tezikovka: the bazaar was demolished, and the flea market was moved to a new place, to the other end of the city.
