What do we pay A LOT of attention to at the Open School?

Open School was created on the principles of free education and every day, at lessons, breaks, in the canteen, on a walk, etc., the child faces his own freedom and the freedom of other people. Children do not always by the age of 7 already fully own their own boundaries, and even more so understand the boundaries of others. And this is the first thing we pay attention to during the period of adaptation of schoolchildren. Learning to hear yourself and the other, to be able to speak out, to stop what you don’t like with words is an important skill for a child on the way to healthy communication.

The Open School has a gadget rule. Children don’t wear them to school.

The Open School pays much attention to the development of the child’s curiosity. Children have no fear of bad grades, going to the blackboard, because the format of the work does not imply constant monitoring and evaluation, but for the most part this is a joint study of the new with the teacher. Our task is to preserve the spark of interest with which the child came to us.

Parents are actively involved in the learning process. During the year we meet at meetings, do joint concerts and holidays. Parents can travel with us on excursions and museums. We have created a VK group where we post photos and videos of our classes, interesting events from the life of the school, and also receive feedback. WhatsApp has created a chat for quick notification and information exchange. During the vacation week, parents and children come to individual meetings with teachers and sum up the results of the past five-week period, based on the child’s success, his impressions, and teachers’ observations.
