Child Care Resources | School Age Child Care & Summer Camps

While only parents can determine the age at which their child is responsible enough to care for himself, it is recommended that children twelve and under be supervised by adults. School-age child care programs care for children from kindergarten through middle school, before and/or after the regular school day.  Many school districts offer before and after school care, usually at the school your child attends or at a nearby facility. These programs may be operated by the school district, a for-profit company, or local civic organization and must be licensed by the state. Programs operated by the local school district do not have to be licensed.

Summer Camps

Summer day camps offer a variety of activities and take place in various settings. Activities can include many outdoor sports, such as swimming, and plentiful recreation. Programs can be full or part-time camps and can run several weekly sessions. The certification of youth camps falls under the Department of Health and Senior Services’ Public Health. Many licensed child care centers also offer summer camp programs for school-age children.

Child Care Resources only refers camp programs that are certified by the Department of Health and Senior Services or licensed by the Department of Children and Families, Office of Licensing.

The curriculum is fantastic and we are constantly impressed with all of the new academic, social, and motor skills our children learn during their days at Growing Room. The facility itself is top-notch and provides so many different opportunities to foster growth in our children. We are so thankful Growing Room is a part of our village!

Welcome!

I love my kindergarten
It is full of children.
One, two, three, four, five…
It’s a pity that we can’t count them all.
Maybe a hundred of them, maybe two hundred.
It’s good when we’re together!

Attention parents!

Reception of children is carried out from 7:00 to 8:00. Timely arrival in kindergarten is a necessary condition for the proper organization of the educational process.

Program for groups up to 3 years

Home/Baby from 1 year and 5 months to 3 years

The developing kindergarten “ Tiger cub ” works according to the program of preschool education “From birth to school”, edited by N.E. Veraksa, T.S. Komarova, E.M. Dorofeeva.

In our private kindergarten in Kommunarka, daily developmental classes are held using the most modern methods. The program is designed in such a way as to ensure the comprehensive development of the child, give him the opportunity to make new amazing discoveries and instill a love of learning. The game is the leading activity of a preschooler, so our pupils easily and interestingly acquire knowledge precisely in the game activity.

    • In the field of cognitive development we enrich knowledge about the size, shape, color of objects. In the didactic game, we get acquainted with geometric shapes, make up a whole from parts. We develop attention, memory, auditory differentiation. We learn to distinguish and name the number of objects (one-many) We get acquainted with the natural and objective world. We expand the child’s circle of observations of the social environment.
    • In the field of speech development, we develop understanding of speech and activate the vocabulary. We enrich the vocabulary of children with nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs. We develop the articulatory and vocal apparatus. We attach to works of art: fairy tales, songs, nursery rhymes.
    • In the field of social and communicative development we create an emotionally positive climate. We cultivate polite communication skills. We learn to show interest in the gaming activities of peers, we learn to play without quarreling, to help each other. We develop emotional responsiveness.

In addition to general developmental classes with a teacher, the program includes weekly English classes, music, children’s fitness, classes with a speech therapist and choreography.
