Summer camps for teenagers Enforex

For two decades, Enforex has been offering summer camp training programs for children and teens. Bringing together students from all over the world, these programs allow young people from different countries to make Spanish friends of their age, gain a deep understanding of the Spanish way of life, and increase their awareness of the various cultures of the world. Students come from over 32 countries, creating a unique environment for developing language and interpersonal skills.

Enforex offers 8 summer language camps located exclusively in the most prestigious private schools in Spain.

Classes are held in student residences in camps in Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Marbella, Salamanca and Valencia, where students take 4 or 5 lessons per day of Spanish or English.

In addition, young people participate in many traditional summer camp activities such as sports, games, competitions and parties. And the fact that they are in Spain makes it easy to get the added bonus of cultural trips and visits to historical sites. To top it all off, a dedicated staff of advisors accompanies, encourages and mentors students 24 hours a day. All this adds so much fun that vacationers do not even notice how much they are learning!

Valencia

Valencia is the third largest city in Spain and has experienced a cultural renaissance in recent years. Located on the Mediterranean coast, Valencia is a medium-sized city with a population of around 800,000. It has spacious clean beaches, long promenades, charming architecture and a temperate, sunny climate. Valencia is a great place for a summer camp. Students visit the beach at least twice a week.

Camp infrastructure

The summer camp is located in the vibrant university area of Valencia. From the camp it is easy to get to the beach and the city center. The camp has an Internet class, audio and video classrooms, television, a room for games and meetings, laundry and all conditions for sports.

Summer Camp “Enforex” cooperates with the University of Valencia and integrates other universities and schools into a complex, thus allowing students to feel the local social sphere.

Age groups of students:

Enforex Summer Camp Training Program

The school uses a constantly evolving teaching methodology and an interactive curriculum developed by experienced teachers, trainers and administrators.

Summer language courses are organized as 20 lessons per week, with 4 lessons each day, from Monday to Friday (with the exception of the Marbella Alberge – Centro camp, where students receive 25 lessons per week). Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. To ensure an individual approach to each student, the maximum class size does not exceed 14 people.

The carefully designed curriculum places an emphasis on conversation and communication so that students can take full advantage of their surroundings and apply what they are learning while talking with friends during the rest of the day. Morning classes are the only time when Spanish and international students are separated, they return in the afternoon and evening for various activities. The programs are 100% compatible with the US credit system.

Teaching staff

The success of teaching depends to a large extent on the team of teachers. To this end, Enforex has assembled a highly qualified and energetic teaching staff for its camps. All Spanish teachers are graduates of at least five-year university programs in Spanish linguistics and teach Spanish as a foreign language. Most of them have a Master’s and/or Doctor’s degree in Spanish and all have a CAP – Certificate of Teaching Ability. The teaching staff of the summer camps has experience teaching young people of different ages and implements a wide range of techniques and activities to communicate with every age group and type of learning.

Methodology

The language program is designed taking into account the fact that the school is a summer camp. In other words, the classes are designed to be interesting and entertaining enough to motivate students to the fullest, while also optimizing classroom time by encouraging conversation and discussion in a serious and professional manner. The goal of the school is for students to have as much fun as possible while studying in a short period of time. The methodology focuses on a communicative approach, using a variety of methods to cover the fundamentals of language learning: grammar, speaking, listening, vocabulary, pronunciation, writing, and intercultural literacy.

Teaching materials

Educational materials are designed for each age group and are divided into different levels of language competence. A set consisting mainly of texts and a workbook corresponding to each class is issued to the student on the first day of the course. Other multimedia audio-visual aids are also used to their full extent during the lessons.

Language levels

Each student takes an entrance test on the first day of class to determine their level of the language. After the test, they are respectively placed in one of 6 levels, from beginner to master.

Certificates

On the last day of the camp, each student receives a certificate with a detailed description of the achievements realized during his stay.

Activities and excursions at the Enforex summer camp.

Valencia

Valencia has two charms – a thriving big city and beautiful beaches that are harmoniously combined.

In the afternoon, after classes, numerous activities are organized in the camp:

This summer camp offers the same practical training as other camps:

In addition to training, sports activities and excursions, children’s summer camps offer children a varied entertainment program that vacationers enjoy every day, whether in the afternoon or in the evening. Recreational activities may include, but are not limited to:

Accommodation at the Enforex summer camp. Valencia

Accommodation embodies the essence of the language summer camp philosophy – to live, learn, play and practice languages together 24 hours a day in a fully multicultural environment. When children are accommodated in the school residence, Spanish and international students are separated only during the morning language classes. They will experience everything else together, from morning awakening to sports, art workshops, recreational activities, excursions, food and more. This is the perfect recipe for making friends from all over the world!

The hostel consists of triple rooms with bathroom and toilet. Most rooms have a small balcony. The rooms also have wireless internet access and air conditioning.

In addition, students aged 14 and over are offered accommodation in host families.

All children are provided with full meals 7 days a week with three meals a day – breakfast, lunch and dinner. Students are also provided with meals on excursion trips.

Summer programs for 2019 for teaching teenagers to program abroad / Sudo Null IT News

Although there are still mountains of snow and frost outside the window, nevertheless, many parents (and sometimes teenagers themselves) begin to think about what to do with their child during the long summer holidays. If you think that children relax so much in the summer that it is extremely difficult for them to get involved in the educational process in the fall, then in such situations I always advise sending the child to a summer training camp.

My work is related to the immigration business, so quite often my company has to select training programs abroad. And in the last few years, programs for teaching programming and the professions associated with it have become the most popular.

With the help of such camps, a child can train English and learn the basics of a profession in demand. As for me, a great way to diversify the holidays with benefit.

I have collected some interesting offers for the summer of 2019 from various colleges and centers of education for children from 10 to 18 years old both in Europe and the UK and in America. I hope they will be useful for you and your child. Perhaps, at first glance, it may seem that the cost of such training is somewhat overpriced compared to our standard expectations – how much a children’s training camp can cost. But here it is worth paying attention to the high level of education, and a complete set of training materials, and the level of safety for the child. In fact, this is training + entertainment + all-inclusive recreation at the best, in my opinion, sites.

Bucksmore Coding Program

Program duration: 2 weeks
Age programs: 10-13 and 13-16 years old
Program dates: 02-16 July 2 019
July 09-23, 2019
July 16-30, 2019
July 23 – August 06, 2019
Program fee: 2600€
Location: United Kingdom, London, 259 Greenwich High Road, Bucksmore Education.

The main feature of the camp, according to the founders, is the study of two languages of the future at once: English and Python.

Students receive a Raspberry Pi microcomputer, on which they will learn the basics of Python. In general, the course is very interestingly balanced in terms of educational and entertainment program.

  • 15 hours per week of studying and practicing English
  • 7.5 hours per week of learning the basics of programming
  • 2 full day excursions and 1 half day excursion per week
  • Evening activities with Bucksmore Summer and Bucksmore Adventure members.

The result is a camp with a lot of entertainment and a wide practice of English, in which the child will also be taught the basics of programming. There are a maximum of 11 children in a study group.

The cost of the program includes accommodation, meals, teaching materials, excursions, transfers from Heathrow or Gatwick airport and back, as well as gift sets.

The founders claim that the children will only need money for souvenirs – everything else has already been provided.

College du Leman CDL Summer Camp

Program duration: 2 weeks (it is possible to extend the stay in the camp from 3 to 6 weeks)
Age programs: 8-18 years
Program dates: 0 7-20 July 2019
21 July — 03 August 2019
August 04-17, 2019
Program fee: CHF 5700 ($5740 or €5000)
Location: Switzerland, Versoix, Route de Sauverny 74, Collège du Léman.

Let me emphasize right away that Versoix is a suburb of Geneva, so everything is in order with transport links.

Du Leman College offers 3 separate camp programs. We are interested in the Genius program. It is noteworthy that the student can choose to make his own program for himself. The child is offered 7 educational blocks, 2 of which he can choose to his taste.

These programs are:

  1. Programming
  2. Crime Lab
  3. Start-ups
  4. English
  5. French
  6. Leader School
  7. Robotics

All programs take into account the age of the students and are conducted in a playful way. That is, in the laboratory of a forensic scientist, students will investigate a “crime”, simultaneously studying and using various devices and devices.

According to the organizers, along with “programming” they most often choose “forensic laboratory” or “robotics”.

There is also a wide range of evening entertainment for students, including bowling, laser tag, discos, board and team games, and much more.

The price includes accommodation, 3 meals a day, entertainment, educational materials and consumables, weekend excursions, transfer from Geneva airport and back.

In general, a very worthy program that children will definitely like. The only thing that is desirable is knowledge of French at least at a basic level – many students from France participate in the programs.

Program dates: August 12-16, 2019

Utrecht Summer School is a fairly popular summer camp for schoolchildren in the Netherlands that offers programs in 10 different areas of study.

Game Design and Development is one of many programs. However, she enjoys continued popularity. Children want to learn how to make games and that’s where they can do it. Or at least learn the basics for this profession.

The courses cover the specialty very broadly. Children will be able to practice creating individual elements of games (locations, characters, art, engines). They will also receive the necessary minimum knowledge for programming, creating animations, voice acting, sprites and regulating game balance.

Although the course is only a week long, the information is very, very good. At the end of the program, each team of participants will present their own game. The program also includes a visit to the Dutch Game Garden, an incubator for Dutch mobile and PC game development companies.

Utrecht Summer School is a great opportunity for a child or teenager who is fond of computer games to turn their hobby into something more.

(Actual course location may vary, please be careful).

FunTech is specifically designed to educate the younger generation and nurture their interest in technical professions. In addition to the main courses, which are designed mainly for a year, the company also organizes summer camps.

Now they have 16 summer courses lasting from 5 to 14 days, which in one way or another relate to programming. We will consider one with you – Python Game Developer. The rest you can evaluate yourself on the company’s website.

The organizers claim that this is the perfect summer camp for computer gamers, where students can create an interesting 2D toy themselves in a week of active programming.

As part of the course, children are taught in practice:

  • The basics of object-oriented programming in Python.
  • PyGame basics (drawing, audio, rendering).
  • Vector mathematics (calculation of shapes and objects, scaling, determining the optimal size of a location).
  • Creating generated instances.

The course is very intensive – classes last 8 hours a day, taking into account recreational activities. However, most children are happy with this schedule. At the same time, teachers claim that the courses are completely academic and provide basic knowledge in the chosen field of knowledge.

Holberton Summer Coding Camp

Program duration: 11 days
Age programs: 15-18 years old
Program dates: 09-20 July 2019 904 11 Program fee: free of charge
Location: The USA, CA, San Francisco, 972 Mission Street (between 5th & 6th Street).

Yes, the course is really free, but because of this, the number of people who want to take part in it is simply huge. At the same time, a high knowledge of mathematics and English is required for each participant.

The course is quite worthy. Students are taught the basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript. In 11 days, each of the course participants will be able to create their own website from scratch to the final launch.

In addition to the theory and practice of programming, the organizers conduct interesting tours of the offices of popular IT companies, including Google, LinkedIn, Airbnb. However, the camp does not completely occupy the children from morning to evening, they have 4-6 hours of free time a day, which they spend as they see fit.

Of course, the student himself pays for accommodation, excursions, travel expenses and teaching materials.

Meals are also not included in the program. It is possible to eat in the camp, but it is paid. The organizers say that the prices are quite affordable, but the exact cost is not reported.

In general, the camp gives students a very clear understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript, even if they did not know about them before. Free is a huge plus, but due to the high demand for the program, you may not get into the camp at all. In addition, all organizational issues (accommodation, food, travel and others) will have to be resolved independently.

***

Similar summer programs are available at many international universities and even more at private educational institutions.

But when choosing a course, you need to pay attention to 4 things:

  1. What exactly is included in the price of the course. Some companies write the cost on a turnkey basis – that is, the money will really be needed only for souvenirs. Others do not take into account educational materials, meals, accommodation, transfers and a bunch of little things. Pay attention to it.
  2. Variety of leisure and entertainment. For children, this is important. If the program takes into account leisure for children and, moreover, turns it to the benefit of learning, then that’s great. The result in the studied area will be better, and the time spent in the camp will be much more pleasant for the child. This means that the motivation to continue studying the subject will be higher.
  3. Fluency in English is required in all programs.
