Popular Senior Year Traditions and Events.

Every school and community has their own set of Senior Year Traditions.

Whether you’re looking for new ideas, or are just curious about how other schools celebrate senior year, here are some of the most common and popular traditions celebrated by high school seniors.

This concept became super popular on Facebook in 2020 when schools first closed due to the pandemic.

Typically, seniors are adopted by younger students or members of the community and showered with gifts.

Class rings are a great way to show school spirit and highlight your activities and interests.

Some high schools hold formal ring ceremonies or ring dances, where a graduating class all receives their rings together.

★ Learn more in our complete Guide to High School Class Rings inlcuding our favorite designs to fit any budget.

Decorating lockers is popular in the beginning of the year, during spirit week, for senior night and for graduation.

Students may decorate their own lockers or have them decorated by teammates, friends, or family.

This may be more of a tradition for senior parents than seniors themselves! It’s become popular in recent years to take and post – sometimes alongside kindergarten pictures – First Last Day pictures of seniors on the first day of their senior year.

★ See our our Last First Day Signs and Photo Props like the one pictured here.

Nerf wars, water wars and senior tag are different names for a senior tournament. Often organized by seniors themselves, individuals or small teams compete in a bracketed tournament with the last team or senior standing declared the winner.

A Senior Breakfast can be held in the beginning of the year as a bonding activity and to distribute class schedules.

Or, it can mark a milestone like 100 days until graduation.

At the end of the year, you could throw a Senior Breakfast to announce superlative winners or distribute caps and gowns. So many options!

Another fun tradition often used to kick off senior year!

Students decorate their cars and dress up to parade from a starting location to their high school on the first day of school. Prizes are often awarded for various categories.

★ Check out our Grad Car Parade Ideas page.

A Senior Carnival or Field Day can just be a fun class activity, or it can be an event to raise funds for class activities, a class gift, a scholarship fund or to support a local charity.

★ See our post about high school fundraising for more fundraiser ideas.

Senior Crowns are growing in popularity!  Read our Guide to Senior Crowns. Crowns might be word on the first day of school, during spirit week, and at senior events.

They’re often elaborately decorated with a theme, or to represent a student’s interests & activities.

Learn more and get decorating ideas here.

At some high schools it’s a tradition for the class to give a class gift to the school community. Common ideas include a bench, furniture, signage, sports equipment, landscaping and artwork.

A senior lock-in may be held as a bonding activity or as a safe alternative to after-prom parties.

Students spend the night at the school under the supervision of chaperones.

Popular themes include Casino Night, Mardi Gras, Roaring 20s, Hawaiian Luau and Disco.

Senior Pranks are usually carried out at the end of the year as a final farewell to the high school community. Fun and creativity are key, and if you can safely disrupt the school day a little bit at the expense of your teachers, you’ll have achieved the primary goal of a senior prank.

Check out this list of actual senior pranks.

Senior Skip Day is pretty self-explanatory. Seniors designate a day in the spring, often the Monday after prom, to skip school and usually go to the beach, an amusement park or a local recreation area to spend the day avoiding school and having fun.

Sleeping outside, on campus is one of the ways that some classes kickoff their senior year. It’s an opportunity to bond and truly start the year together.

A “Senior Sleepout” may also refer to an event to raise awareness for the homeless. Seniors choose a night to sleep outside, rain or shine.

It’s a common tradition for the senior class to design a senior t-shirt to wear on the first day of school and to other senior events.

The design usually incorporates the year of the graduating class and the class slogan.

As a bookend event to the Senior Sunrise, the senior class may hold a Senior Sunset event toward the end of the year as the “sun sets” on their high school career.

Some senior classes hold a Senior Sunset at the beginning of the year as a kick-off event, typically with food, games and class bonding activities.

Wake up! A Senior Sunrise is an event where the senior class gathers on campus to watch the sunrise together as a class.

★ Read our Senior Sunrise post for tons of ideas to make your event memorable.

★ Check out the Senior Sunrise Collection in our shop.

There are two versions of the Senior Trip. The first is a school organized trip, usually at the end of the year, just before graduation.

Many graduating seniors plan a fun trip the week after graduation to celebrate with their friends. Popular locations include the beach, lake homes and locations abroad.

Senior Wills are a way to pay tribute to friendships and memories from 4 years of high school.

Seniors leave objects, experiences and memories to friends, faculty and students in their senior wills.

They may be published in the yearbook, school newspaper, a separate supplement or on social media.

Signing Day refers to the day high school athletes sign their National Letter of Intent to play their sport in college.

National Signing Day is officially the first Wednesday of February, but schools often hold multiple signing day ceremonies to accommodate all of the athletes who intend to sign an NIL.

Celebrate your senior’s graduation with a senior ad in their yearbook.

  • Top 10% Annual Salary: $122,000 ($58.65/hour)

The employment of senior event managers is expected to grow much faster than average over the next decade.

As the baby-boom generation ages, more people will celebrate milestones such as retirement and weddings. This will lead to an increase in the number of events, such as corporate parties and family reunions.

In addition, the popularity of social media has increased the visibility of many types of events, which may lead to greater demand for senior event managers.

Senior Event Manager Job Requirements

Event managers typically need to have the following qualifications:

Education: Senior event managers are typically required to have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as hospitality, event management or business administration. Some of the coursework that these programs include is hospitality management, business management, marketing, accounting, hospitality law, hospitality business management and hospitality sales and marketing.

Training & Experience: Senior managers often have at least 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry. They may have started as a front desk agent, server or other entry-level position and worked their way up to senior management. Senior managers often have experience in a variety of hospitality roles, including management, operations, sales and marketing.

Certifications & Licenses: While certifications are not required for the role of senior event manager, they can be valuable additions to a candidate’s resume. They also may be required for certain positions.

Senior event managers need the following skills in order to be successful:

Leadership: Leadership skills are crucial for senior event managers, as they are often the primary point of contact for clients and other event managers. Senior event managers with strong leadership skills can motivate their teams to perform at their best and ensure that events run smoothly.

Communication: Communication is the act of conveying information through verbal or nonverbal means. As a senior event manager, you should be able to communicate effectively with your team, clients and other stakeholders. This can include written communication, such as emails, as well as verbal communication, such as phone calls or in-person meetings. You should also be able to communicate nonverbally, such as through body language or hand gestures.

Organization: Organization is another skill that can help you be an effective senior event manager. Senior event managers may travel to different locations to oversee event set-up and operation. They may also work in an office setting, communicating with clients and vendors by phone and email. Although the work can be stressful, senior event managers often find it to be exciting and rewarding.

Senior Event Manager Trends

Here are three trends influencing how senior event managers work. Senior event managers will need to stay up-to-date on these developments to keep their skills relevant and maintain a competitive advantage in the workplace.

The Growth of Corporate Events

The growth of corporate events is a trend that is seeing increasing popularity among businesses. This is due to the fact that corporate events can be an effective way to build relationships with clients and potential customers.

As the demand for corporate events increases, so too will the need for event managers who are able to plan and execute successful events. Senior event managers will be in high demand as they have the experience and knowledge needed to create memorable events that will leave a lasting impression on attendees.

More Focus on Branding and Marketing

Branding and marketing are becoming increasingly important in the world of events. As more and more businesses realize the value of having a strong presence at trade shows and conferences, they are turning to professionals like senior event managers to help them create a lasting impression.

By understanding how to create a positive image for a company, senior event managers can help to generate leads and drive sales. In addition, they can also help to create a cohesive theme for an event, which can make it easier for attendees to remember the company’s products or services.

A Greater Emphasis on Customer Experience

Customer experience has become a top priority for many businesses, as they recognize the importance of creating a positive impression with their customers.

Senior event managers can play a key role in ensuring that customer experience is a focus for their company. They can do this by developing strategies for improving customer service and by making sure that the company is meeting the needs of its customers.

How to Become a Senior Event Manager

An event manager career can be a great way to get started in the event planning industry. As an event manager, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of events and projects with different clients. This will give you the chance to learn about different industries and meet new people.

To become an event manager, you’ll need to have strong organizational skills and be able to manage multiple tasks at once. You should also be able to think creatively when faced with challenges. It’s important to stay up-to-date on the latest trends in event planning so that you can offer your clients the best possible experience.

2023 U.

S. Senior Open Golf Championship

SentryWorld is proud to host the 43rd U.S. Senior Open Championship from June 29–July 2, 2023. This is the first Senior Open and third USGA championship to be played on our 200-acre parkland course in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

“The U.S. Senior Open is undoubtedly among the most prestigious golf events in the world,” said Mike James, general manager of SentryWorld and vice president of Sentry Services. “With the help of state and local leaders and business and community partners, SentryWorld will provide a world-class experience and environment for players, officials, and fans alike.”

SentryWorld—Wisconsin’s first destination golf course—was developed by Sentry Insurance in 1982 as part of a sports complex that now includes indoor tennis courts, a boutique hotel, banquet space, and restaurants. The 7,320-yard championship golf course was originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., who redesigned it in 2013 with on-course architects Bruce Charlton and Jay Blasi. In 2021, Jones and Charlton further renovated the course in preparation for the U.S. Senior Open.

Light-f . Hello dear children. It’s good that you came to visit me.

I want to tell you about traffic rules. And ask you what you know.

Our children Svet-f will now tell you what they know.

1 p. The city in which we live with you,

Can rightly be compared to a primer.

Here it is, the alphabet – over the pavement.

Signs hung overhead.

2 p. ABC of streets, avenues, roads

The city gives us a lesson all the time.

Always remember the alphabet of the city,

So that trouble does not happen to you.

3 p. Around the city, down the street

They don’t just walk around:

When you don’t know the rules,

It’s easy to get into trouble.

4 p. Be careful all the time0003

And remember in advance:

Rules have their own

Driver and pedestrian.

Light-f. Yes, children, you are right, there are rules for both drivers and pedestrians. I want to ask you questions.

1. How many wheels does a car have? (4)

2. How many people can ride one bike? (1)

3. Who walks on the sidewalk? (Pedestrian)

4. Who is driving? (Driver)

5. What is the name of the intersection of two roads? (Crossroad)

6. What is a roadway for? (For traffic)

7. What can happen if a pedestrian or driver violates traffic rules? (Accident or traffic accident)

8. What is the upper light on the traffic light? (Red)

9. How many signals does a traffic light have? (Three)

11. What animal does the crosswalk look like? (Zebra)

10. Where should children play so as not to endanger themselves? (In the yard, on the playground).

Light-f . Well done guys, how much do you know. Now let’s play.

Sports relay “Transport the load” (medium gr.)

Game “Scooter” (older gr.)

Lead. Svet-f, our children can tell about you.

Light-f. I would love to listen.

1. To help you

The path to go is dangerous,

It burns both day and night –

Green, yellow, red.

2. The most severe is the red light,

If it is on

Stop! There is no further road,

The path is closed for everyone.

3. So that you calmly cross over,

Listen to our advice:

Wait! You will soon see yellow

Light in the middle.

4. And behind it a green light,

Will flash ahead.

He will say: “There are no obstacles”,

Boldly go on your way!

Game “Collect a traffic light”

Light-f . Let’s watch a video about a traffic light.

Pedestrian Traffic Light Video

Ved. Children also know poems about signs.

1. Hey driver, be careful,

You can’t drive fast.

People know everything in the world

Children walk in this place.

2. Familiar stripes,

Children know, adults know:

9 leads to the other side0003

Pedestrian crossing.

3. And here, guys, it’s not funny,

You can’t drive on anything

You can only use your own power

Only pedestrians can.

4. You didn’t wash your hands on the way,

Ate fruits and vegetables.

I fell ill and you see –

Medical aid point.

5. Pedestrian, pedestrian,

Remember the crossing.

Know that only transition

Will save you from cars.

7. This sign tells us:

The way is closed for pedestrians!

There are a lot of cars here friends,

You can’t walk here!

Light-f. Let’s play.

Semaphore game

Light-f . Well done boys. I also want to talk about seat belts.

Seat Belt Video

Ved. Our children also know about safety.

Scene “Dad and son” The sun rises in the morning,

Father takes his son to the garden.

Dad is driving,

Kolya is looking out the window.

Kolya Dad, dad, look –

There’s a trolleybus ahead!

Oh, what a beautiful house,

And a fountain outside the window!

Dad. Better, son, don’t talk

Don’t distract me!

Only the son did not lag behind,

Everything was spinning and chatting.

Kolya. Dad, can you buy me some candy?

Will you give me a tablet in the evening?

Look – the athlete is running,

The plane is flying in the sky!

(you can take the sign) Suddenly – the road sign is standing!

Dad slows down hard!

Pedestrians on the way –

Let them pass, driver!

Dad strictly said so.

Dad. You kept me distracted!

I could have knocked down a pedestrian,

Without noticing the crossing!

Ved . Let’s go again,

Soon we’ll see the kindergarten.

Only Kolenka is silent –

It looks sad out the window.

Light-f or Ved. So remember forever –

No trouble happened,

Don’t touch the driver,

Let him look at the road!

Don’t distract him,

Don’t talk and don’t interfere!

After all, traffic is on the road,

Must be very careful!

And now the children from the other group will also tell us what can help us on the roads.

1. Evening is coming,

And the people are going home.

Who is from school, who is from work –

After all, everyone has their own worries.

We are standing by the road,

We want to cross it.

But it’s dark around – it’s a shame!

The driver can’t see us!

3. Only there is always a way out

It doesn’t matter if it’s dark!

We need to buy a flicker

And attach it to clothes.

4. Whether it’s a sticker or a bracelet,

Or buy a badge!

Here’s some advice for you –

Wear flickers!

5. It will reflect the light,

He will always see you!

On the road – it’s clear!

It will be safe immediately!

Light-f. Well done guys. You have learned a lot about traffic rules.

Lead. You know Svet-f, we made friends with you and prepared the dance “Watch” for you.

Clock dance

Light-f Thank you, my friends. And now I want to play with you.

Yes and No Game

Ved. Thanks Svetofor we learned a lot of new things.

Light-f. And I have prepared for you the right thing for your safety (He gives flickers).

Health is not a gift given to us at birth once and for all. It can be strengthened or destroyed. The formation of a healthy lifestyle is a general cultural and social task facing society.
The event “In search of health” was devoted to the solution of this problem, developed for children of the senior group of the kindergarten “Kolosok” by the employees of the children’s library. The purpose of the event is to introduce children to a healthy lifestyle. At the beginning of the event, the hosts reported that the library had received letters from children from the country “Health”, in which they wanted to share their secrets of a healthy lifestyle. A letter with a secret was enclosed in each envelope, guessing their children got acquainted with the components of health. Preschoolers made an exciting journey to this country and learned about the secret: “Cleanliness”, “Sport”, “Nutrition”, “Health”, “Daily routine”. During the event, the guys guessed “Hygienic riddles”, participated in a sports relay race and answered the questions of the game – chants. In such a playful, exciting way, the library staff tried to convey to the children the important rules of a healthy lifestyle.

(The teacher shows the children a doll – Lesovik).

The woodsman flew to us from the forest. He wants to get to know you and get to know our city better. Lesovik also wants to take a walk around the city, but he does not know the rules of behavior on the street. But what rules are in question, you will learn from the poem:

They don’t just walk around the city, down the street

When you don’t know the rules, it’s easy to get into trouble.

Be attentive all the time and remember ahead.

Rules have their own

Rules have their own

Driver and pedestrian.

What are the rules of the poem?

Children: Rules of the road.

Educator: That’s right! Children, can we help Lesovik understand the Rules of the Road?

Children: Let’s help.

Educator: Don’t worry, Lesovik, the children will help you. Dear traffic connoisseurs! Let’s help Lesovik today to understand the Rules of the road. Let’s remember the rules of behavior on the road, traffic lights, road signs. Children, we need to convince Lesovik that …

Very important science

Traffic rules.

And must comply with them

All without exception.

Educator: Guess what types of transport are discussed in riddles?

Children: About ground public transport.

Educator: Right. When we ride in a bus, tram, who are we? (Passengers)

– When we drive down the street, who are we? (Pedestrians).

Well done! So imagine you are passengers! What are the rules for using public transport? It will be difficult for our Lesovik to immediately remember the rules of behavior, so we will teach him with the help of prompt models.

Children : In public transport, passengers behave calmly. They speak in a low voice.

You can’t scream or make noise.

Passengers must go inside the cabin.

Hold on tight to the handrails. Pay for travel.

Give way to older, elderly people, passengers with small children.

You can not lean out of the window, drink drinks, eat sweets and ice cream.

Caretaker : Well done! You know the rules for passengers well. And now tell Lesovik the obligatory rule of road safety: how to bypass the bus, trolleybus and tram standing at the bus stop.

Children: A bus and trolleybus standing on the road or at a bus stop must be bypassed from behind, and a tram from the front.

Educator: That’s right, guys!

Well, what if you break the rules?

You will get different injuries,

And suddenly trouble happens,

What should we do then?

Children: Call 103 for an ambulance.

Educator: Well done! They did an excellent job. And now, let’s introduce Lesovik to a true friend and assistant to drivers and pedestrians. Guess the riddle and find out his name:

Caretaker: Well done, and you know the traffic lights.

It’s time to rest. There is a road near the forest in which Lesovichok lives, and once this happened on it! See…

(MUSIC. THE BEGINNING OF A FAIRY TALE. There is a road, a forest on the screen)

Lesovik: Children! How big and smart you all are! You know the rules of the road, how to behave near the roadway. Let the fairy tale that we want to show today be a reminder to you. In a distant forest lived a bunny Fluffy. And this forest was very close to the big road, which is called the highway. Cars raced back and forth along the highway day and night.

Cars go back and forth on the road.

Forest inhabitants – animals and birds – tried to stay away from the road. Still would! Here you will be crushed instantly. And you won’t be able to remember.

So, in this very forest, a hare lived, like two peas in a pod, like a mother.

(HARE MUSIC)

The hare had large round eyes and fluffy fur beyond its age.

The hare was terribly proud of his fluffy fur. Mom affectionately called her son Fluffy. Like all animal mothers in the world, she taught her child to live in such a way as not to get into trouble, and more than once warned Fluffy:

Hare: – Never, never run out onto the highway. There you will be crushed. And if they don’t completely crush, then they will definitely move the foot. Do you hear, son? And if you really need to, then cross the highway only at the green traffic light, and be sure to look first to the left and then to the right to check if there are any cars. And never, you hear, never play near the road!

Lesovichok: Unfortunately, many children do not obey their elders. And Fluffy, too.

Fluffy: “Why, will they crush you? Why green? I’m small, right? Just think, cross the highway! Once! – and on the other side. There the forest is thicker and the trees are taller. Not like here…” And if you play carefully near the road, nothing bad will happen at all!

(Hedgehog MUSIC)

Hedgehog comes out

Hedgehog: Hello Fluffy! What do you miss?

Fluffy: Hello Prickly, can you imagine, he wanted to run across to the other side of the road before the green one caught fire, you can’t! I wanted to play here, but they also say you can’t!

Hedgehog: Don’t listen to anyone! Let’s play ball!

Fluffy: Come on!

Start to play, the ball rolls onto the road,

a car passes and crushes the ball.

Fluffy cries, Hedgehog waves his paw and runs away.

(BEAR MUSIC)

Fluffy: Hello Bear!

Little Bear: Hello, Fluffy! How are you, what are you missing?

Fluffy: I’m sitting here thinking whether to cross the highway or not. There are a lot of bumps, you can kick instead of the ball, otherwise my ball burst.

Bear cub: What is there to think about? Wait until the green traffic light turns on and go calmly, why run across?

Fluffy: Yes, this is a forest, here the green does not light up for a long time! And now I want!

Bear cub: Don’t you dare, otherwise I’ll tell your mother everything!

Fluffy: Tell me! Yabida!

The bear cub is offended, leaves (BEAR MUSIC)

A wolf cub appears (WOLF MUSIC)

Wolf cub: Hey you, fluffy! Let’s wave across the highway: in that forest of cones, apparently, invisibly!

Lesovichok: And although the little fox did not need cones at all, he agreed.

Friends approached the edge. The highway nearby was empty. Only a tiny car was rolling in the distance. True, with every second it became more and more, but the wolf cub confidently declared:

Wolf cub: Oh, nonsense! We’ll have time to run across the road a thousand times before this truck gets here.

Lesovichok: And ran. Fluffy is behind him. But he couldn’t jump that fast.

Oh, what a pity that he could not jump as fast as the wolf cub ran! .. That’s why the truck ran into Fluffy. Everything happened so quickly that at first the hare did not even understand what a misfortune had happened to him. It just hurt him a lot.

Fluffy: Oops, I think I hurt my paws! Wolf cub help me! Where are you? Well, the wolf cub ran away, and I see that another car is coming! Oh-yo-yo-y!

Another car is driving down the road.

A hare closes his eyes with his paws in fear.

Little Bear runs up and at the last moment takes the hare out of the way.

Little Bear: Little Hare, why did you run across the road at a red traffic light! It’s good that I came back, otherwise the car would have crushed you.

Fluffy: Thank you, you saved me! Now I know for sure that the roadway is not a place to play and that you need to cross the road only at the green traffic light!

Lesovichok: For a long time in the forest there was only talk about how the Hare almost died on the road, and about how the Bear cub saved him.

Educator : Children, did you like the fairy tale? What do you remember the most today? Lesovichok, did you remember everything that the children told about traffic? Children, let’s say goodbye to Lesovichok and say goodbye!

(FUN MUSIC. Children go to the group)

Message of the topic and tasks

There are fathers and children in the world. Your father and mother are the children of your fathers and mothers – your grandparents. The human race is made up of generations. Several generations live in the world at the same time – the outgoing, being in the full bloom of creative forces, the ascendant and the newly born. You are in the next generation. Before you is a world full of bright hopes. What you have become and what you will become in the future, you owe to the older generations. Today we will talk with you about how we should treat older people, how we can express our attitude towards them.

Conclusion: the older generation has more experience, knowledge, they are wiser.

Learning new material

– Which of the older generation is the closest and dearest person to you and me? Of course it’s mom.

I’ll read you a fairy tale now. Listen to her and tell me what this fairy tale teaches..

V. A. Sukhomlinsky “The Tale of the Yellow Goose”. She showed her children the big world for the first time. This world was bright, green, joyful: a huge meadow stretched out in front of the goslings. The goslings were happy.

They forgot about their mother and began to disperse across a huge green meadow. When life is happy, when there is peace and tranquility in the soul, the mother is often forgotten. In an alarming voice, the Goose began to call the children, but not all of them obeyed.

Suddenly dark clouds moved in, and the first large drops of rain fell on the ground. The goslings thought: the world is not so cozy and kind. And as soon as they thought about it, each of them remembered their mother. And suddenly each of them needed her, oh, how they needed her: they raised their little heads and rushed to her.

In the meantime, large hailstones were falling from the sky. The goslings barely managed to run to their mother, she raised her wings and covered her children. Wings exist, first of all, in order to cover children – every mother knows this – and then only in order to fly.

It was warm and safe under the wings… It never occurred to them that the wing has two sides: warm and dry inside, cold and dangerous outside.

The goslings heard, as if from afar, the roar of thunder, the howl of the wind and the sound of hailstones. It even became fun for them: something terrible is happening behind the mother’s wings, and they are warm and comfortable.

Then everything calmed down. The goslings would rather go to the green meadow, but the mother did not raise her wings. The little children of the Goose squealed demandingly: let us out, mother. Yes, they did not ask, but demanded.

Mother quietly raised her wings. The goslings ran out onto the grass. They saw that the mother’s wings were wounded, many feathers were torn out. The goose was breathing heavily. She tried to spread her wings, but she couldn’t. The goslings saw all this, but the world was again joyful and kind, the sun shone brightly and kindly, bees, beetles, bumblebees sang so beautifully that it never occurred to the goslings to ask: “Mom, what is wrong with you?” And only one, the smallest, approached his mother and asked: “What is the matter with you, mother? Why are your wings hurt?”

The goose quietly answered: “It’s all right, son!” The goslings scattered on the grass, they were happy…”

– What can you say about mother goose? What about her children?

– How often we say words of love and gratitude to our mothers too late. Let’s say kind and gentle words to mom. Let the words of forgiveness for the mistakes that we make, mothers hear in time, and not when, unfortunately, it’s too late. And don’t forget to say “sorry me, mom! And remember the magic words that you need to say more often. Let’s remember them by guessing riddles:

Even an ice block will melt

From a warm word… (thank you).

Even the stump will turn green,

When he hears … (good afternoon).

If you can’t eat anymore,

Let’s tell mom we … (thank you).

When they scold for pranks,

We say… (please forgive me).

– How can you prevent your parents from being unhappy? What does it mean to be a good son or daughter?

(group discussion of this question followed by presentation of answers).

But you are not only sons or daughters. You are also grandchildren. Your relationship with your grandparents can work wonders. Now I will prove it to you with one example.

When Mitya’s grandmother’s death hour came, she smiled and said:

– Goodbye Mitya. You gave me 4 years to live. Thank you. Remember that the most precious thing in life is a person. It is great wisdom to be able to leave yourself in another person.

– How do you understand these words of the grandmother?

Grandparents invest in you their mind, their love, their heart, their loyalty. Immortal is he who left himself in another person.

Mitya’s grandmother’s last words were: “Mitya’s soul is my great joy.”

Why do you think she said that?

Creative task. (work in groups)

1) Come up with and write down the rules for the student in relation to the elders.

2) Make up proverbs about respect for the older generation.

An old man is better than seven young people, The young one works, the old one gives the mind. The young is handsome, the old is smart. The old one is smart, though not strong .

Total Since ancient times, people have been worried about the attitude of young people towards the older generation. The Moral Teachings from the Holy Scriptures say: “Bless your father or mother”, “Stand in your father’s old age, and do not grieve him”, “Honor the elders, bless”.
