Extra-curricular activity in English during the week of foreign languages at the school. Music Lounge Scenario “Michael Jackson – King of Pop”

Every year in our school during the week
foreign languages for all high school students
schools are hosting events such as
      literary / musical / poetic
living room. The heroes of such living rooms are
      famous writers, poets, musicians or
      popular performers. For this event
all high school students are getting ready, it is impatiently
expect. Living rooms such as “Mark Twain and his
heroes”, “The great master of the pen – W. Shakespeare”,
“Valentine’s Day”, “Elvis Presley and his
songs”, “Shakespeare. Love story” with success
took place on the stage of the assembly hall of the gymnasium.

Host 1: Michael Joseph Jackson was an American singer, dancer, and
entertainer. Referred to as the King
      of Pop
, he is the most commercially successful and one of the most
influential entertainers of all time. His unique contribution to music, dance, and fashion
along with a highly publicized personal life, made him a prominent global figure in
popular culture for over four decades and he has become the most successful recording
artist in black music history, and one of the most successful solo artists in music
      history.

Host 2: Michael Jackson King of Pop
music. He didn’t call himself that. This title was given
him millions of fans around the world and colleagues,
among which he had no equal. You ask,
“how did he get the title?” He came to this
the old hackneyed way. He earned it! Neither
one performer in the history of music has created
big sales like him. No one
the performer in history has not received so many awards
and confessions, how many received Michael Jackson. Neither
one performer in history did not attract
so much vn and mania and did not create such
mass hysteria like him. No other
performer in history has not done so much for
charity like him. There was no such
before, not later. He is the only one in his
      kind.

Host 1: Michael Jackson was born August 29, 1958 as the eighth of ten
      children in Gary,
Indiana, an industrial suburb of Chicago, to an African American working-class family.
The family lived together in a tiny two-bedroom house. Jackson had a troubled relationship
      with his father, Joe
Jackson. He stated that he was physically and emotionally abused during incessant
rehearsals, with whippings, and name-calling, though he admitted his father’s strict
discipline played a large role in his success.

Narrator 2: According to Michael, he never
there was no opportunity to play and have fun, in
the family did not even celebrate Christmas – that’s why
      adults he tried to compensate
missed joys. For the most part
testimonies, authority of Joseph Jackson, father
Mike, in the family, rested on his heavy fists and
angry scolding. In 2003 Michael Jackson
told in an interview with journalist Martin
      Bashir for a documentary that
rehearsals, the father often waved his belt and beat his sons
Or throw them at the wall. The father also mocked
snub nose and youthful acne Michael.

Presenter 1: He showed talent early in his life, performing in front of
classmates during a Christmas in kindergarten. In 1964, he joined the Jackson 5 – a band
formed by brothers Jackie, Tito, and Jermaine—as backup musicians. Jackson later began
performing backup vocals and dancing; at the age of eight, he and Jermaine assumed lead
vocals, and the group’s name was changed to The Jackson 5. The band toured the
Midwest extensively from 1966 to 1968, frequently performing at a string of black
clubs. In 1966, they won a major local talent show.

The Jackson 5 recorded several songs, including “Big
      Boy”, “I Want You Back”,
      ABC,
      “The
      Love You Save,” and “I’ll
      Be There”. Rolling
      Stone
magazine later described the young Michael as “a prodigy” with
“overwhelming musical gifts,” writing that he “quickly emerged as the main
draw and lead singer. The group set a chart record when its first four singles.

Speaker 2: Michael and his older brothers (Jackie,
Tito, Jermain and Marlon) ended up in the center
attention when their father, Joseph Jackson, a worker
      steel mill in Gary, Indiana
created a group of sons. He called them “The Jackson 5”.
Despite the fact that Michael was the youngest, immediately
it became clear that there was something special about him.
Armed with a magical voice, mature beyond
years, he captivated the crowd with a charm that
      competed with any entertainer. Small
Michael and his brothers go from victories to
local competitions and before a contract with Motown Records in
late 60s. The group began to release hits one by one
one for his new recording studio and
remained at the peak of popularity throughout
70s. At the same time, in parallel with group work with
brothers, Michael began to record quite
      successful solo projects.

Excerpts from the songs of M. Jackson sound: “ABC”, “The Love
      You Save”, “I’ll
      Be There”.

Host3: The Jackson 5 signed a new contract with CBS
Records in June 1975, joining the Philadelphia International Records division, and
      renaming themselves The Jacksons.

They continued to tour internationally, releasing six more albums between 1976 and
1984, during which Jackson was the lead songwriter, writing hits such as “Shake
Your Body (Down to the Ground)”, “This Place
Hotel,” and “Can You Feel It”.

In 1978, he starred as the scarecrow in the
      musical,
      Wiz
, and it was here that he teamed up with Quincy Jones, who was
arranging the film’s musical score. Jones agreed to produce Jackson’s next solo album, Off
      the Wall
      .

In 1979, Jackson broke his nose during a complex dance routine. His subsequent rhinoplasty was not a
complete success; he complained of breathing difficulties that would affect his career. He
      was referred to Dr.
Steven Hoefflin, who performed Jackson’s second rhinoplasty and subsequent operations.

Narrator 4: In 1978, Michael Jackson for the first time
acted in films – in the role of the Scarecrow in
“Magician” – film adaptation of “The Wizard of
Oz” with black actors in all
roles. This work was the beginning of creative and
      commercial collaboration with Quincy Jones,
responsible for the soundtrack of “The Magician”. Among
      their common creations are prominent
“Thriller”, which had a tremendous impact on
the sphere of music videos, the authors note.
The success of this work helped Jackson negotiate
the highest in history, as it is believed, fees for
      music recordings.

Host 3: Michael Jackson’s 1979 album Off the Wall was a
worldwide hit, and spawned the number-one hit singles and music videos “Don’t Stop
‘Till You Get Enough” and “Rock With You”. The ballad “She’s Out Of My
Life” also reached the top ten in 1980. With that accomplishment, Jackson became the
first solo artist to have four Top 10 hit singles in the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart
from a single album. The album went on to sell over seven million copies in America,
establishing Jackson as a musical force without his brothers.

Host 4: During the production of the album “Off The
Wall” Michael collaborates with Quincy. With release
this album, Michael instantly turns from
cute singing boy into a superstar.
The album was released in 1979 and was rated
dignity for the quality combination of soul and
      rock, its incessant boogie-woogie rhythm.
Thanks to the hits “Don’t Stop ‘Till You Get Enough” and “Rock With
You”, sold 10 million copies and the album became
multi-platinum. It was hard to even imagine
that anyone can replicate such success.

Host 3: His Thriller album, released in 1982, produced seven top-ten
hit singles, broke sales records, and became the best selling album in music history. The
“Billie Jean” music video, released to promote Thriller, became the first video
by a black artist to be aired on MTV. The seven-minute “Thriller” music video /
short film became the world’s best selling home video at the time, and is considered by
many music industry critics to be one of the greatest music videos of all time and a large
step forward in artistic quality for music videos. While performing “Billie
Jean” during the Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever special on television on May
16, 1983, Jackson publicly performed his moonwalk dance for the first time. January
1984, at the American Music Awards, Jackson was nominated for nine awards, and won a
record eight. At the Grammy Awards in February, Jackson was nominated for twelve awards,
and won a record-breaking eight: seven for Thriller and one for his narrative on The E. T.
storybook. In May, Thriller was certified by the Guinness Book of Records as the best
selling popular music album of all time. The same year, he was also awarded with Claude
Hodson Medal of Freedom at the NAACP Image Awards, honored at the White House by President
Ronald Reagan with the Presidential Special Achievement Award, and was awarded a star in
November on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. By 2005, Thriller had been certified twenty-seven
      times platinum in the U.S.

      Host 4: Thriller made history
as the best selling album in the world and forever
changed the face of the music business. About
this album, producer Quincy Jones stated in
      Time magazine interview: “Black” music
had to play second fiddle for
long time, but her spirit is the whole driving force
in the pop music that Michael paired with every
soul in the world. The album hit the top
charts and topped the top ten for 37 weeks
contract. This is the best result so far. In
same year Michael gets an unprecedented eight
Grammy Awards – 7 for “Thriller” and 1 for “E. T.-The Storybook”. IN
The success of “Thriller” is mainly due to
      innovation called “video clip”. Such
hits like “Billie Jean”, “Beat It”, and “Thriller” came to life
before the viewer’s eyes when connected
      interesting plot and amazing dancing
Michael’s movements. Michael’s short films helped
the introduction of video as a means of transmitting music. TO
In addition, they broke the effect of the color barrier on
MTV. Thriller made Michael Jackson American
      pop music icon.

      “Billie Jean” music video

Host 5: In 1984 Michael Jackson donated his $1.5 million
settlement to the Brotman Medical Center in Culver City,
California, which now has a “Michael Jackson Burn Center” in honor of his
donation. He donated all the funds (around $8 million) raised from the Victory Tour to
      charity.

He also co-wrote the charity single “We Are the
World” in 1985 with Lionel Richie,
which was released worldwide to aid the poor in the U.S. and Africa. It became one of the
best-selling singles of all time, with nearly 30 million copies sold and millions of
      dollars donated to famine
relief. Throughout June 1999, Jackson was involved in a number of charitable events.
      He joined Luciano
      Pavarotti for a benefit concert
in Modena, Italy. The show was in support of the non-profit
      organization War Child,
and raised a million dollars for the refugees
of Kosovo, as well as additional funds for the children of Guatemala. Later that
month, Jackson organized a set of “Michael Jackson & Friends” benefit
concerts in Germany and Korea. Other artists involved included Slash, The Scorpions,
      Mariah Carey

      Andrea Bocelli
and Luciano Pavarotti and others. The proceeds went to the “Nelson Mandela Children’s
      Fund”, the Red
      Cross and UNESCO.

Performance of the song “We Are the
      World”

Host 6: In May 1994, Jackson married singer-songwriter Lisa Marie
Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley. They
had first met in 1975, during one of Jackson’s family engagements at the MGM
Grand Hotel. They stayed in contact every day over the telephone. They married in the Dominican
Republic in secrecy, denying it for nearly two months afterwards. Jackson and Presley
divorced less than two years later, remaining friendly. In 1996, Jackson married Deborah
Jeanne Rowe, with whom he had a son, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr. (who publicly goes by the
name “Prince”), and a daughter, Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson. The godparents
of these two children are Macaulay Culkin and Elizabeth Taylor. Michael and Deborah were
divorced in 1999. Jackson’s third child, Prince Michael Jackson II (nicknamed
“Blanket”) was born in 2002. The mother’s identity is unknown, but Jackson has
said the child was the result of artificial
      insemination from a surrogate
      mother.

Narrator 5: Michael Jackson has been married twice. WITH
From 1994 to 1996 he was married to Lisa-Marie Presley,
daughter of Elvis Presley. In November 1996, after
divorce her, Jackson married Debbie Rowe
(a former nurse who cared for and
supported him during his treatment in
dermatology center in Australia when he
diagnosed with skin cancer). 1997 became
significant in Michael’s personal life. In February it
wife Debbie gave birth to their first child, named Prince
Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. Next, at 1998th of them
daughter, Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson, was born. Michael
He said that fatherhood is his biggest dream.
But in 1999, Debbie Rowe and Michael Jackson divorced. Year
2002 again brought Michael the joy of fatherhood. Second
Son: Prince Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. (b.
2002), presumably his mother is also
Debbie Rowe, from other sources is
surrogate mother. Guardianship of children after death
Jackson was adopted by his mother, Katherine Jackson.

Presenter 6: The years 2003 – 2005 were so difficult for him. He got
into big trouble, went through nine courts, lost a lot of his weight. June 13, 2005
Jackson was acquitted on all counts. After the trial, he relocated to the Persian Gulf island
of Bahrain, as a guest of Sheikh
      Abdullah. A media
circumstance surrounded by the event. Following the death of James Brown
returned to the U.S. to pay tribute during Brown’s public funeral on December 30, 2006.
Jackson and Sony bought Famous Music LLC from
      Viacom in 2007
him the rights to songs by Eminem,
      Shakira and Beck, among others.

“I’ve been in the entertainment industry since I was six-years-old… As Charles
      Dickens
says, “It’s been the best of times, the worst of times.”
But I would not change my career… While some have made deliberate attempts to hurt me, I
take it in stride because I have a loving family, a strong faith and wonderful friends and
fans who have, and continue, to support me.”—Michael Jackson.

      Narrator 7: June 13, 2005 verdict
court. Michael is found not guilty on all counts.
This put an end to the tension of the last
months for Michael, his family, friends and
fans. In 2006, Sony-BMG Europe releases the top 20
hits of Michael Jackson in a new double format
CD / DVD, in five months – the collection “Visionary”.
New double disc contains on one side
music, on the other – the original video. At the end
In 2006, James Brown died, who had a very
great influence on the style of Michael Jackson. He
came to the funeral. “James Brown is my very
      great inspiration,” said Michael, adding,
that his mother called him to look, even woke him up
would be sleeping if they showed on television
James Brown. “When I saw him, I became like
      hypnotized. I never saw that
performer worked like James Brown and straight
then and there decided exactly what I want to do before
      the end of my life.”

Host 8: The 25th anniversary of Thriller
was marked by the release of Thriller 25 ,
recorded in Ireland; it featured the previously unreleased song “For All Time”
and re-mixes. Two remixes were released as singles to moderate success: “The
Girl Is Mine 2008” and “Wanna
Be Startin’ Something’ 2008”. Thriller 25 sold well as a re-issue, peaking
at number one in eight countries and Europe. In 12 weeks Thriller 25 sold over
three million copies worldwide. To celebrate Jackson’s 50th birthday, Sony BMG
released a series of compilation albums called King
      of Pop
. King of Pop did reach the top 10 in most countries where it was
issued, and also sold well as an import in other countries.

that he would perform there in major comeback concerts titled This

the HIStory World Tour finished in 1997, and had been cited as one of the year’s most
important musical events with over one million people attending in total. Jackson
suggested possible retirement after the shows; in his own words it would be his “final
      curtain call”.
Although initially a 10 date concert, it was increased to 50
dates after record breaking ticket sales. Jackson rehearsed in Los Angeles in the weeks
leading up to the tour under the direction of choreographer/director Kenny Ortega .
The concerts would have commenced on July 13, 2009 and finished on March 6, 2010. Less

best outfits, Michael Jackson look for a girl / Shopping School

Writing about your idols is always exciting. Today is just such a day.

Michael Jackson is a legendary man, a musical phenomenon, the king of pop and one of the most enigmatic artists of the turn of the millennium. He burst into this crazy world as suddenly as he left it, leaving no one indifferent.

Out of respect for Michael’s personality, I will not retell his biography here. Moreover, many facts from it were distorted during his lifetime.

Today we’re going to talk about Michael Jackson’s style, his influence on fashion and what you and I are wearing right now.

      CHILDHOOD AND THE JACKSON 5

Michael was a real perfectionist in clothes. Everything he wore became part of a grand show, not only on stage, but even when just hanging on a hanger.

Everything started in my childhood. In the 60s. When Michael and his brothers performed in The Jackson 5.

At first it was performances in the “black” clubs of the Midwest, but later the Jacksons rose to the national level, and in the 70s they already occupied the first line of the Billboard chart.

Michael stood out from the brothers. An unusual timbre and a special manner of moving on stage gradually made him the frontman of the group, and concurrently an idol of the Americans.

By the mid-70s, the group’s success began to decline, and Michael set off to look for his own creative path: he released 4 solo albums, several singles, and even starred in a musical with Diana Ross, but world fame came to him after meeting the producer Quincy Jones at 1978.

      THRILLER ALBUM. 1982

In 1982 Thriller was released, making history as the world’s best-selling album. In numbers, this is 9 singles, 7 Grammy awards and a circulation of 100 million copies sold worldwide.

In the 80s, when the record came out, MTV was just gaining popularity. At that time, the stars did not attach much importance to the clips. Basically, these were beautiful shots accompanied by music without any semantic load.

Jackson did not like this state of affairs. In his videos, he wanted not only to demonstrate music, but also to tell the viewer a story. Thus were born three iconic Michael stories that turned the world of music (and then fashion) upside down.

      BILLIE JEAN

Jackson’s first video to hit MTV primetime and finally break the racial divide on television.

By the way, even this clip was refused to be rotated by the channel management because of the color of Michael’s skin.

But the viewer cannot be deceived. The plastic guy, who unusually moved to music unusual for the 80s with their disco music, won the hearts of millions of viewers on the other side of the screen.

      BEAT IT

Later, following Billie Jean, the Beat It video was released, where Michael danced on the screen in a red sequined jacket.

Literally a month after the release of the video, the combination of red, white and black gained such popularity that it spontaneously made Michael Jackson a trendsetter for young people.

      THRILLER

And again, the red biker jacket, only now complete with red jeans and … white socks! So what does this guy even allow himself? 🙂 And who is behind this?

And there was another Michael behind all Michael Jackson’s outfits. Bush only.

By the way, remember the red latex suit in Britney Spears’ “Oops I Did It Again” video? So this is also the work of Michael Bush 🙂

With his colleague Dennis Tompkins, Bush began designing Jackson’s stage costumes from his first performance in a musical in the 70s.

It all started with black Levi’s 501 jeans, which Michael Bush ripped open and re-sewed with stretch fabric in place, allowing Jackson to dance freely on stage.

While other designers created incredible costumes for the stars, in which it was impossible to walk, let alone dance, Bush began to make clothes for Michael that allowed him to do anything on stage, while being a real work of art, which , exactly, and wanted Michael.

      COSTUME WORK

In search of inspiration, Bush and Tompkins bought tons of magazines for Michael. These were magazines about fashion, gardening, interior design, wedding magazines. In short, everything where you could find pictures with visual images.

Later the pages were cut out and laid out on the floor. Sketching began.

In terms of clothing, Michael was a very demanding client.

“Exceed what is now worn all over the world” – a short technical task from the king of pop.

      1983 MOONWALK

On March 25, 1983, Motown Records held a 25th anniversary concert.

Michael moonwalked for the first time that evening. The hall just exploded. In the lobby after the concert, people tried to repeat what they had just seen.

Just listen to what’s going on in the hall!

So, from that very first performance of “Billie Jean”, the number began to “grow” with permanent attributes:

      – White glove studded with “diamonds”

      – Sparkling black jacket

      – Cropped trousers

      – White socks in rhinestones

      – Black hat Jackson’s glove. Some say that he sewed it himself by gluing rhinestones to a leather golf glove, others that one of the staff sewed it for him. I am leaning towards the second option. I can’t imagine Michael wielding thread and scissors 🙂

The first version of the glove was completely studded with rhinestones. Later, when Jackson was reviewing the recordings from the concert, he noticed that the rocks scratched the microphone and created a crackle. So the rhinestones on the inside of the gloves were removed.

For that performance, Jackson wore regular white socks with sequins sewn on. Over time, their design has been slightly improved. Instead of sequins, Michael Bush began to use voluminous glass rhinestones. As a result, each sock weighed a kilogram, but it was worth it.

Michael loved these socks. Firstly, no one but him dared to wear white socks under black trousers (he liked to feel first in everything), and secondly, there were rhinestones on the socks, they shone and coolly emphasized the movement of the legs on stage, and this was important.

After all, initially Michael came up with the idea of wearing white socks so that people from the back rows could see HOW he dances. With an ordinary black pair of socks, his feet would simply blend in.

Pants for “Billie Jean” Bush sewed according to an already proven scheme. The tucks on them were made in such a way that Michael could dance freely on stage and feel comfortable. The 7/8 length was chosen specifically to emphasize those very shiny socks, and the stripes drew the attention of the audience even more to Jackson’s legs. Every detail of the costume was thought out to the smallest detail.

The black jacket has almost never changed. Black fabric + sequins. Up close, it all looked “gouged out”, but on the stage … Michael had no equal. It was visible to the audience even from the last row of the balcony.

      CLIP BAD 1987

When BAD came out in 1987, which, by the way, was shot by Martin Scorsese, the entire fashion world was dressed in leather from head to toe.

By that time, Michael had already begun to take a serious interest in vegetarianism, and his physique was not distinguished by enviable volumes even without it. Therefore, to further emphasize the masculinity of the artist, Bush decided to use rigid forms in clothes. So the choice fell on biker leather jackets, which later only replenished the Jackson collection.

      SMOOTH CRIMINAL

The experiments with proportions didn’t stop there. In Smooth Criminal, which came out in 1989, Michael was given a white silk jacket with shoulder pads. This visually made Michael’s torso even larger. Especially in contrast with the blue satin shirt.

But the most interesting thing is the trick that Michael and the dancers do in the video. That moment when everyone leans forward 45 degrees.

And this is also the merit of Jackson’s dressers, in particular Michael Bush. For the video (and later for the stage), he developed a special structure to which the shoes were attached so that the singer could safely lean forward without fear of falling.

Everything was simple, like everything ingenious: a couple of screws in the floor, a couple of holes in the heels to cling to the protruding screw heads. The trick is ready. The system was even patented 🙂

WHITE T-SHIRT IN BLACK OR WHITE

On November 26, 1991, the clip “Black or White” was released.

Michael wanted to be different in every way, even if he wore a plain white T-shirt.

So, starting from the clip “Black or White”, where he appeared in a white T-shirt and a white shirt (guess how many seconds later it became a trend!), all the white T-shirts that he wore later were necessarily slightly torn in the collar area. Such a small error that made it special.

The length of this same incision was different each time. He just took scissors and made an incision. Sometimes he was overzealous and demanded a new T-shirt, because “this one was torn too badly.”

THE 90’S AND LOVE FOR MILITARY

Michael adored royal and military outfits. Every time he was on tour in Europe, together with the team they visited ancient castles and museums without fail. Michael could spend hours looking at portraits of generals with their medals, orders and embroidered golden coats of arms. All this brilliance brought him a real delight.

Jackson knew by heart the history of the British royal family and their military costumes. It was they who subsequently inspired him, together with Michael Bush, to create his new image.

Love for the military also played into Michael’s hands. Including, to again create the illusion that his body is more majestic than it actually is.

As with biker jackets, tough materials have invariably been used for these garments. And to achieve maximum effect, there were also shoulder pads, shoulder straps and epaulettes, and the length of such jackets barely reached the waist. Because of this, Michael seemed noticeably taller.

      STREET

Michael has always had a special love for her. In everyday life, he did not wear his costumes embroidered with rhinestones, but no one canceled the desire to break stereotypes. Therefore, in every, even the simplest image, there was always some unusual detail, whether it was a jumper tied instead of a belt or a belt worn back to front.

Michael leafed through fashion magazines and smirked when he read design advice.

What could be worse than having some editor tell you which tie to go with your pocket square! Let THEY copy me! (c) Michael Jackson

      1995 SCREAM

Michael duet with sister Janet Jackson. This clip has become the most expensive music video in the world. About 10 million dollars were spent on filming in the “spaceship”.

Lots of glitter, varnish and shiny fabrics. Yes, the future in the 90s was only imagined in this way 🙂

And if everyone is already used to Michael in his leather pants, then after this video the golden sheepskin coat with white fur, in which Janet appeared for a few seconds, after the premiere got into the reports all glossy magazines.

THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT US (1996)

A single from Michael’s ninth studio album and part-time unspoken manifesto against any kind of discrimination.

Speaking of discrimination. Music channels refused to take the video into rotation, since Michael shot this video in … prison. Therefore, an alternative version was later filmed in Brazil.

Royal costumes for such a video, of course, were not appropriate. Perhaps it was Michael’s simplest outfit. Just jeans and just a shirt, the same as the rest of the prisoners. Noooo under the shirt you could see the same white T-shirt with a notch 🙂

      COURT

Michael Jackson’s trial lasted a total of two years. From 2003 to 2005. During this time, a new style was born, not similar to all previous ones. In an interview, Michael Bush said:

“We started with a white suit – and everyone just went crazy. We went to dark suits, blue, black, striped, and then we put him in a red double-breasted blazer – and the world almost stopped turning. This red suit hit everything covers. When we work with Michael, the show goes on no matter what!”

The press did not let the king down, accusing him of all mortal fashion sins. Too defiant, too bright, too, too, too … Bush was sure that if anyone else were in Michael’s place, no one would even pay attention to the color of his jacket, but the attention to the king was appropriate.

      BOOK

While working with Michael, Bush began to record his costumes. Then it was a necessity – Michael liked to give a freshly made coat or jacket to someone from his inner circle. And then he demanded to do exactly the same. Therefore, it was decided to document everything. Michael was too generous.

Bush started taking pictures of his outfits. Once Michael saw this and exclaimed: “Bush, you must make a book!”

In the end, the case was brought to an end only after Michael’s death.

The king of style: Dressing Michael Jackson was published in 2012. It contains all the information about the outfits of the king of pop, the history of their creation and many memories of Michael himself.

      Michael Jackson’s Wardrobe Rules

Here are 4 Michael Jackson wardrobe rules that Bush followed while working with him.

Rule 1. Fit. The fabric should be light and stretchy, form-fitting and breathable. EVERYTHING in clothes should emphasize the dance.

Rule 2. Functionality. No flared trousers, fringes or bulky details to trip over. Clothing should be unforgettable for the viewer and invisible to the artist.

Rule 3. Tactility. Clothing should be pleasant to the touch, flying, flowing and rustling. It must be like a living organism.

Rule 4: Uniqueness. Do not repeat the same clothes twice. To create something that no one else in the world has ever worn.

      FUNERAL

As the news of Michael’s death spread around the world, the bell rang at the Bush home. The Jackson family decided to entrust the creation of Michael’s last outfit to him.

Bush never discussed this subject with Michael during his lifetime. The only thing he knew for sure (Michael once accidentally dropped it in a conversation): “If something happens to me, please don’t put this glove on me.”

Bush decided that pearls would be perfect for this occasion. Michael would love it. He remembered the pearl tunic that he wore to the Grammys in 1993.

And since this tunic could not be found, Bush immediately set about creating a copy. The king should be buried like a king – in pearls!

On the lining of his jacket, Bush sewed the Tinker Bell fairy, which scattered the magical dust (rhinestones) that Michael loved so much. And British royal lilies were embroidered along the edges of the collar. At the heart is a Maltese cross. The armband was made of black flat rhinestones with a silver royal coat of arms.

Michael looked invincible. In his hand he held his favorite blue irises. When his children approached him, they carried a golden crown in their hands, designed with love and respect by Dennis Tompkins.

Prince and Paris (Jackson’s children) lowered their father’s crown over the flowers. And when all the rubies, emeralds and sapphires that were on the crown caught the moonlight dancing in the night sky, the guests realized that they were not attending a funeral, but a coronation.

      Dressing like Michael Jackson

For those who are unfamiliar with my ICONS project, I want to tell you how it happened:-)

You know that I am against prohibitions and restrictions. I am sure that EVERYONE can wear EVERYTHING, the main thing is to skillfully adapt the style and clothes to yourself.

Therefore, the ICONS project is a mix of stories about how the style of those whom we call style icons today was born, as well as my photo proof that by trying on dozens of different styles for the same person, we will still make it beautiful if Let’s rely on good taste.
