This school district is absolutely wonderful. The teachers are so helpful and kind with the students and teach a lot. It’s a great community with everyone willing to help one another achieve their goals. Once, my friend forgot to bring their coat to class during the winter and they had a fire drill, so the teacher gave her her coat to wear.

The academic opportunities, artistic experiences, and intellectual environment that Westport has offered me have allowed me to discover what I’m interested in and develop the passions that shape me today. For instance, I began playing the viola in 4th grade through the school system, and now, I play in New York Youth Symphony every week.
Excellent funding. Very tumultous era of leadership. Excellent level of parent and community involvement. Disappointed that no after school activity buses are offered for students, which limits students who can participate to those who have non-working parents or nannies.

Darien High School is an incredible school for college preparation, but the atmosphere can be stifling. The school is a pipeline for Ivy League kids and future hedge fund managers, and it offers incredible AP classes and even beyond. For parents, make sure to realize that your kids are under intense pressure both socially and academically, and for students, whether the school tells you or not: IT’S OK TO FAIL!

I am a Senior at Darien High School. Throughout the past four years, I have been given many opportunities to explore different interests through clubs and academic classes. I feel as if the teachers at DHS do an excellent job at preparing their students for college level work. At times, the amount of homework given can create a significant amount of stress, but the school provides many resources to help relive some of the pressure. Sports play an important part in the lives of many of the students attending DHS. Although the school lacks diversity, DHS is a great school to attend.
Awesome teachers, very challenging. Will prepare all students very well for college. Had an awesome experience, highly recommend!

New Canaan High school not only pushes and challenges each student who attends their school but also creates a safe place where gifted minds can comfortably voice their questions and concerns. NCHS does an amazing job instilling a competitive edge within each person who walks the halls of the school. In my personal opinion, I think it would be beneficial to talk to the students and discuss what they feel works for this school and what doesn’t.
I have been a member of the New Canaan School district since I was about 4 and a half years old . I grew up in this community and I have truly enjoyed my time here as a child. In elementary school, I thouroughly enjoyed my time there, and I think of the good times I had there often. In middle school, I also loved participating in the theatre program and art classes. Now nearing the end of my time at New Canaan High School, I have learned a great deal of knowledge, while also have encountered amazing teachers and staff personnel. The New Canaan School System has treated me well and I wouldn´t trade my time there for the world.

Rating of schools after the CT: Russian was best passed at the Lida gymnasium, and mathematics – at the Lyceum of BSU

education by Sergey Olshevsky and with schools that were on the bottom lines of the rating
A table with the results of graduates of schools, gymnasiums and lyceums appeared on the InternetPhoto: Pavel MARTYNCHYK
A table divided into subjects, the number of people who took the DT and their results in 2019 appeared on the website of the educational project eschool.by. Sergey Olshevsky, the author of the “People’s Textbook” project, published the data from his sources. According to it, it is clear in which schools the best and worst passed the test.
We took the results of schools in mathematics, Russian and English and compiled the top 3 most successful in the CT and vice versa. The rating took into account schools where 10 or more people took the DT
So, mathematics was best passed by graduates of the lyceum of BSU, worse – school No. 1 of the city of Kamenets. The best results in the Russian language – in the gymnasium No. 1 in Lida, the worst – in the branch of the Pleschenitskaya regional school-school of the Olympic reserve. TsT in English turned out to be successful for graduates of gymnasium No. Skaryna in Minsk, but not the most rosy results – at school No. 20 in Minsk. (See ONLY NUMBERS).
– Information for analysis and decision making here. And a toolkit for the parent to ask questions. For example, your child has to take geography next year, and you see that this year the school did not show the best results in this subject. You may wonder why this happened, – says Sergey Olshevsky. – When a parent decides where to send the child, he can rely on something, compare the child’s grades with the results that the school shows. To avoid surprises, why does he get 8-9 at schoolpoints, and on the CT 6-7. The regional departments of education have this information, but for some reason it is closed to parents.
– What conclusions did you draw from the data?
– The statement that we have the same level of education everywhere, according to the results of the DT, does not correspond to reality. On average, gymnasium and lyceum students pass the CT by 20 points better than schoolchildren. To ensure that every school has a quality education, regardless of geolocation, funds are needed, which have not yet been allocated. If you look at the geographical area, less points are received in rural schools, most of all – in Minsk. The dynamics of the last three years shows that the average score has increased. But the highest one fell by 5-10 points. I believe this is due to the new scoring system that the RIKZ introduced this year.
We asked the bottom ranked schools to explain why this happened. For example, the school of the Olympic reserve in the town of Pleschenitsy has the lowest results in Russian.
– In addition to the curriculum, students of our school are also busy with training. Often busy at training camps in Belarus and abroad. Sometimes the training camp lasts a quarter, and there is little time left to go to the tutors, to work out additionally. We try to fill in the gaps with distance learning and electives. But this is not enough, – explains Elena Drankevich, deputy director for educational work of the school-school. – Naturally, this is a problem. We will work on this, add electives, additional classes to the program, motivate students. As a result of self-control, the average score of the institution rises, our students willingly participate in republican paid competitions in various subjects. And they take first place in the region.
And in secondary school No. 1 in Kamenets – the lowest average score in mathematics.
– The number of school graduates of this year who took the CT in mathematics is lower than indicated in the ranking. In fact, there are not 13, but 9. The graduates of past years passed, they indicated our school in the education column, although they graduated from it several years ago. For example, two graduates who are serving in the army, who, apparently, were asked to pass the Central Test for the sake of the rating of the unit, and pulled us down in the average score, – says the director of the school, Alexander Sokhranny. – The results could be due to the fact that mathematics was chosen as a spare subject. In mathematics, in previous years we had an average CT score of 46-48. I don’t see any problems in education at school. We have 38% of admissions to higher educational institutions this year, of which two people – the budget of the Belarusian State University They passed biology and chemistry well, the highest score was 9one!
The Ministry of Education declined to comment, citing the fact that “this is an incorrect rating, and we still need to find out if this information is reliable. ”

According to TABS ( Boarding Schools Association ) 78% of boarding school graduates felt well prepared for the non-academic aspects of college life such as independence, social life and time management. This is higher compared to 36% of private school students and 23% of public school students.
Now this article will provide you with vital information about boarding high schools in CT. You’ll also find out how much these boarding schools in Connecticut cost and why you should choose them.
Here is a table of what to expect:
What is a boarding school?
The boarding school is a college preparatory institution where students and teachers live and study together in a safe and secure campus environment.
In other words, a boarding school provides education for students who live on the premises, unlike a day school.
Why enroll your child in boarding school in Connecticut?
There are many reasons why you as a parent should consider sending your child to a boarding school. Schooling, athletics, and extracurricular activities are just a few of these considerations.
First and foremost, a boarding school will help your child develop academically.
In general, boarding schools have a distinguished tradition of academic excellence built on an educational model that offers a variety of curricula taught by highly qualified and exceptionally motivated teachers in small class sizes that promote meaningful interaction with students.
In fact, most boarding schools are staffed with highly qualified teachers, have extensive sports facilities, and offer 24/7 supervision.
Secondly, boarding school education continues outside the classroom.
Most boarding schools generally go beyond the classroom. This is because staff and students live together. In this way, students can benefit from countless “learning moments” in and out of the classroom.
Thirdly, your child will learn, learn to be responsible for himself.
In boarding schools, students must learn to get along with others because it is a community. They learn to take responsibility for their actions because they are bound by some code of honor or discipline.
In addition, boarding school students tend to participate in extracurricular activities more than day school students. For example, playing sports, participating in creative endeavors such as music or painting, or participating in student government and school club activities.
Now why choose a boarding school in CT?
Like other residential high schools in the US, Connecticut preparatory boarding schools serve the purpose above and more.
What is the best age for boarding schools in Connecticut?
According to psychologists and child professionals, the best and most appropriate age for attending boarding schools in Connecticut and other parts of the US is 12 years of age or older.
They believe that at this age children reach a level of maturity to interpret their parents’ plans for them without any offense and positively.
What is the average cost of Boarding Schools in Connecticut ?

This takes into account the approval and recognition of the programs and existence of these boarding schools in Connecticut by the appropriate accreditation body.
The NEASC Commission on Independent Schools (NEASC-CIS), one of three NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) commissions, accredits and supports a wide range of private schools in six New England states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.
As such, the grades offered by a boarding school can determine the level of institution it works with. This is if he has a low or high level.
It is often said that elementary students usually have more options and opportunities than others.
This refers to the number of students that each boarding school in Connecticut has. A lower number means the teacher should give the students the attention they need.
