Some jobs earn you more than you could ever imagine possible, and one such job would be working as one of the highest-paid nonprofit CEOs.. This position offers you things and privileges that are not the standard offerings available to others in similar positions, except for those available in tech companies.

The job of the CEO at some of these nonprofits involves a lot of high-value decisions that either keep the nonprofit in business or take it out of business. The CEO gets to decide how money is made and what happens to it after it is made.

If these CEOs were running for-profit organizations, the job would have been relatively easier, as you are aware of the fact that your job is to make money for the company and its shareholders.. In the world that we currently live in, this is pretty easier to do than trying to make money and trying not to make money at the same time.

The event ended

The Estonian branch of the Salvation Army non-profit organization MTU Paastearmee, in cooperation with the shoe store Kingakaubamaja, has launched a campaign to collect winter shoes “We bring” (“Toome ara”). With the help of donations, it is planned to collect 10,000 pairs of shoes.

The goal of the campaign, which is taking place all over Estonia, is to support those people whose income during this difficult period is spent mainly on subsistence. Salvation Army regional leader Daniel Henderson said the shoes sold in stores are too expensive, so many unemployed people, members of large families, the elderly and other people with low incomes need support.

The campaign runs from January 16 to February 17, 2012. Anyone can send their little-used or new shoes to the Salvation Army, which at the end of the campaign, with the support of local government social workers, will arrange for the delivery of shoes to those in need. The patron of the Let’s Bring campaign is figure skating coach and former professional figure skater Anna Levandi.

“Recent winters have been very harsh, and this winter is no exception. There are 50,000 registered unemployed in Estonia. Only in the area of Põhja-Tallinn there are about 800 needy families for whom decent footwear is more of a luxury. It is sad to realize that in such families children have to walk all winter with cold and wet feet,” said campaign founder Anna Levandi.

You can contribute to the success of the campaign by sending shoes via SmartPOST parcel machines to the Salvation Army.

SmartPOST post machines are located in shopping malls all over Estonia, and a map with more precise locations can be found on the website www.smartpost.ee. Sending a parcel costs 1 euro.
