How to issue remuneration to members of the board of directors in 1C

By decision of the general meeting, members of the board of directors of the company during the period of performance of their duties may be paid remuneration and (or) reimbursed for expenses related to the performance of these duties (Article 64 of Federal Law No. 208-FZ of December 26, 1995 and Article 32 of the Federal Law dated February 8, 1998 No. 14-FZ). Consider the registration of remuneration to members of the board of directors in the program “1C: Salary and personnel management 8” ed. 3.

In the program “1C: Salary and personnel management 8” ed. 3 provides for the possibility of registering remuneration for members of the board of directors. To do this, set the flag in the payroll settings. Other income of individuals not related to wages is registered (Fig. 1).

In document Accrual of other income in line Type of income , you must select or create the appropriate name. Directory Types of other income of individuals is located in section Payments .

In the selected type of other income Type of income (insurance premiums) , Civil law contracts must be indicated, and the income code for personal income tax is 2001 (Remuneration of directors and other similar payments received by members of the management body of the organization ( board of directors or other similar body), Fig. 2.

Lines Personal income tax code , Insurance premiums are filled in automatically after setting the type of income. Date of payment and date Tax transferred must correspond to the actual date of payment of income and the date of transfer of personal income tax.

You can add a member of the board of directors to the table by clicking the button Selection or Add . By default, the directory Recipients of income displays employees of the organization. To select a recipient from the full list of individuals, you must set flag Select from the full list of individuals (Fig. 3).

Attention! The recipient of income must first fill in personal data and tax status in the tab Income tax in the directory Individuals .

After completing the table in document Accrual of other income automatically calculates personal income tax and insurance premiums.

To correctly reflect the operation in accounting in the document Accrual of other income , you must specify the corresponding Account, subconto .

Attention! Payroll reports will not reflect remuneration for members of the Board of Directors. The payment is registered in the accounting program on account 76.10 after document 9 is issued0008 Reflection of salary in accounting .

To check the correctness of registration of the operation, you can generate reports Check section. 1 forms 6-NDFL (since 2021) and Checking the calculation of contributions in Reports on taxes and contributions , report Non-salary income in Reports on payments .

The largest companies in the United States are preparing for the first time to publish data on the ratio of salaries of their management and ordinary employees. This requirement is stipulated by one of the provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act, adopted in July 2010 in order to reduce risks in the US financial system after the crisis that began in 2008.

The statutory ratio is calculated as the ratio of the annual remuneration of the company’s CEO to the median salary of its employees. By headcount

Companies with larger headcounts have lower median employee salaries and higher CEO-to-employee ratios, according to Equilar. This is likely due to the fact that such companies have more low-paying jobs and executives demand higher payouts.

Retail stands out from the 24 industries studied by Equilar: it has the lowest median employee salary of just over $13,000 per year and a very high gap between CEO salary and median employee salary, exceeding 669once. Researchers attribute this to low hourly rates in the industry and a large number of part-time employees.

The larger the company’s workforce, the more likely it is to have large overseas operations where employees may earn less than in a similar position in the US. In companies with a large number of foreign employees, the ratio of payments to the CEO to the median salary will also be higher.
