Recent Review:

We found Ms. Lisa on care.com nearly 4 years ago, and what a blessing it was! I can not say enough good things about Ms. Lisa and her daycare/preschool. Some highlights: nurturing and educational environment, small group, flexiblility, genuine care for each child. With Ms . Lisa’s history as an early-childhood educator, she provided valuable age-appropriate education every step of the way. Our son is currently now excelling in kindergarten in large part due to Ms. Lisa. I would highly recommend “A Little Preschool.”…

Description:

I have been licensed in Ramsey County for 20 years. Prior to starting Come and Play Daycare, I taught with the St. Paul Public Schools Early Childhood Family Education program. I taught in both of theirinfant/toddler programs and preschool programs. I also taught in the SPPS Learning Readiness Program. Prior to that, I taught at Wilder Child Development Center, student taught at Jean Lyle Children’s Center and also worked at an infant daycare while in college.
In 1991, I graduated from Macalester College with a BA in Psychology and Education.
Come and Play is structured to give children the opportunity to use their imagination, creativity and talents. Art, hands on activities, group and story time, sensory activities, gross motor and small manipulative play, dramatic play and open play choices are all offered throughout the day.
My philosophy is that children learn through play and their “work” is their play. Children learn from one another and their experiences.
Currently I have 2 daycare openings for children in ages of 2 years – 5 years old.
Please feel free to contact me with questions. References available upon request.
Thanks for considering Come and Play!

St. Paul’s Cathedral, London. Useful information | Trip to London

One of the main attractions of London is St. Paul’s Cathedral, built in honor of the Apostle Paul. You can see it from almost every part of the city. Today it houses the residence of the Bishop of London. In its history, the cathedral has more than three centuries.

The appearance of the cathedral impresses with thoughtful proportions and a harmonious combination of details. The interior decoration is cold and simple. It was made in accordance with the canons of the Protestant Church: here you will not see magnificent stucco molding with gilding. The true decoration of the cathedral was the wonderful stone carving, magnificent stained-glass windows and wooden benches.

St. Paul’s Cathedral, London: select hotel

The cathedral organ, which has accompanied every service since the end of the 17th century, has dominated the cathedral and is one of the oldest and finest in England.

How to get to the Cathedral?

Any passer-by in the city will tell about it, but it’s better to know in advance.

Address: Churchyard, ES 4 (St. Pauls subway station). You can get to it during a sightseeing bus tour of the city, and by taxi. If you are traveling by car (you can rent a car, for example, here), the navigator will help, it seems to be the easiest option.

Useful information for visiting

The cathedral is closed to the general public during festive events. Free admission is provided only during Sunday service. From Monday to Saturday it welcomes guests from 8:30 to 17:00. Be sure to arrive before 4:00 pm, as the ticket office closes at this time. There are changes in the schedule, so, on September 25, the cathedral is open from 10:15 to 16:00, and on October 3 from 12:30 to 16:00, check this in advance.
