I am the new Director of Rising Scholars along with a new manager. We started on May 20, 2019 The school has been brought up to standards, new employees, new items on the playground. I have been in the childcare field for thirty-two years we are looking forward to a bright new beginning! Come by and see for yourself!

Horrible.
My kid was abused at this daycare when he was a baby. They moved him in with the toddlers when he was just a baby because they were so overcrowded. He came home with a skin laceration over his eyebrow. The owner did nothing! There was no report written nor any apology given. I pulled him out immediately. They wouldnt even refund my money. I used to prepay them for the whole month. I truely regret not reporting them to DCFS. I have pictures. They also fed him the wrong formula. He was severely lactose intolerant and they gave him regular milk. This place is a disgrace.

My kids have been coming to this daycare for 6 months. I was skeptical about putting my kids in daycare, but the staff is loving towards them. They have learned so much from the staff. The director and the owner are always there and always talk to me and make me feel welcome.

Rising Scholars Philosophy
At Rising Scholars Daycare, we provide children with an enriched experience through a student centered approach.
We want to create an environment that fosters creativity, imagination, and fun. Our furniture is leveled to the height of the child so it’s easily accessible and encourages independence. We are accepting of all children and aim towards inclusivity, embrace diversity so all children have a sense of belonging. We strive to make all children feel safe and welcomed at Rising Scholars Daycare.
Infant (6 months old- 1 year old)
We at Rising Scholars understand that the sensorimotor stage is a vital component of cognitive development in infancy. During this stage, the child begins to develop many skills such as imitation, hand-eye coordination, object permanence, and practice reflexes. With the help of sensory activities, we ensure that our infants are developing the instinctual skills of one on one correspondence, hand precision and fine motor skills.
Toddlers (1-3 years old)
Our toddlers receive a balanced blend of learn and play. Our Daycare provides ample space so that toddlers explore and reach their milestones. Through play, toddlers are naturally inquisitive and with our guidance we use toys such as open-ended toys and multifunctional toys that stimulate the brain to understand skills such as problem solving, cause and effect, and many more critical thinking skills. Another important development that’s essential for toddlers to practice are gross motor skills. These toys provide opportunities that allow toddlers to practice balancing, walking, and jumping to move with grace confidently.
Tutoring Services (Grades K- 6th)
Children who become students at Rising Scholars Tutoring develop self-confidence and gain a deeper understanding of concepts inside and outside the classroom.
We care deeply about teaching the whole child and strive towards building lifelong relationships with our students and parents. At Rising Scholars Tutoring, we progress monitor to measure the student’s educational progress through a variety of assessments. You can read more about our assessments here

Gourmet Food
Rising Scholars participates in the USDA in the CACFP food program. We serve nutritious and balanced meals and healthy snacks.
Schedule
Our curriculum consists of purposeful play, thematic units, and social emotional learning. At Rising Scholars purposeful play means allowing children to have opportunities of structured and unstructured play, so that they can explore in an environment that nurtures each child’s growth, capability, and curiosity.
Our program sparks wonder and ignite learning in children.
After School Tutoring
We provide assistance with homework as well as offer one on one tutoring sessions in subjects such as literacy, math concepts, fluency practice.
Reporting and Communication
Communication is very important to us and want to be transparent, informative, and consistent with our parents. Our teachers utilize Brightwheel daily and monthly newsletters, which allows us to stay up to date with our parents and guardians.
Staff
We invite you to take a look into our world to meet our passionate and nurturing teachers. All teachers meet the OCFS qualifications, receive background checks, CPR and First Aid certified.
Sensory Play
It’s the use of tactile materials such as water, blocks, paint, string, foam, and beads that will stimulate the child’s senses.
It helps the child develop their cognitive and motor skills. Through this type of play the child learns to problem solve, encourages experimentation, encourage curiosity and creativity.

Dramatic Play

Schengen visa
A Schengen visa can be requested for a stay of up to 90 days within one half year (period of 180 days).
Invitations must be submitted in original and only when applying for a visa. Invitations that are sent directly to the Embassy without special request cannot be attached to a previously submitted application.

A visa for this reason can be requested for a stay with one of the following purposes:
