Safari Preschool Schedule – Safari Learning Academy Preschool & Kindergarten Community

Safari Learning® Preschool is open from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday – Friday.

Several teachers, aides, the receptionist and the director will be available beginning at 8:15 am.

Preschool half-day = 8am to 1pm
Preschool full day = 7am to 6pm

According to California Title 22 Regulations, toddlers and preschoolers must be kept separate during play and instruction time because of their developmental needs. However, they can “conjoin” for meals and some activities. This will be the case from 7 am to 8 am if numbers of students are low. This also may be the case from 5 pm to 6 pm as the numbers of children dwindle.

What Will Children Learn at ISPS?

This is a sample of activities that would take place in the pre-k classroom at Imagination Station Preschool. Every day we will explore literacy, early math concepts, social-emotional development, science, and social studies through such methods as creative arts, reading, writing, technology, music and movement,  etc.

A note to parents:

Investigation stations or learning centers will be open for the children to explore two times throughout the day. The stations will be closed during our class meeting time. This is done in order to help focus their attention in a group learning situation. Much of the learning in the classroom will be accomplished through the use of creative arts such as drawing, painting, singing, dancing, acting, etc. Art supplies will be available to children throughout the day, and they will always have a “creative arts” option during investigation station time. If there is a child that seems to be more focused on certain areas of the classroom, I will make every attempt to creatively suggest that the child investigate every station available to them. I will never force them to do something they do not enjoy or is not interested in as that is not beneficial to them and does not align with the goals of a play-based preschool curriculum. This sample schedule of activities is an estimation of what we may do throughout a day. The schedule is flexible and, and we may change it based on the group dynamic.
