  • Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide Quality Programming for all eligible children residing in the district that promotes two way communication and collaboration between Humble ISD and families/private preschool partners and supports Kindergarten readiness and early learner success.

    Pre-K Information

Early Childhood Education in Humble ISD is a continuum of service that targets children from birth through Kindergarten enrollment. The continuum includes childcare services found at the Early Learning Center (children of Pregnancy Related Services students and Employee Childcare) and Child Find Services designed to support the identification and programming for children with identified disabilities for children birth to age 3. Children with identified disabilities are served in the school setting by the third birthday and continuing until transitioning to kindergarten programming.

Preschool services for children age 4 on or before September 1 of the current school year are eligibility based for community members or tuition based for employees. These services are comprehensive and address the High Quality Indicators promoted by HB4. The areas of focus include implementation of a comprehensive curriculum aligned with the Texas PreKindergarten Guidelines, ongoing data collection and review to guide program changes, highly qualified teachers who meet additional requirements for early education including a comprehensive PD/PLC plan, staff to student ratios of 1:11, family engagement that includes support to the community partners supporting early education within district boundaries.

The goal is to provide high quality services through a comprehensive continuum that meet unique learner needs and promote early learning success for all students served.
