I think that I got an excellent high school education and I am prepared for college next year! However, the social atmosphere is prone to peer pressure and exposure to drugs, alcohol, and partying. There are also police officers onsite because of shooting threats which can make students feel uncomfortable. The schools are all being rebuilt, so the facilities are state of the art, and most of the teachers I’ve had have been knowledgeable, supportive, and fun! There are positive and negative aspects to every school, and overall I felt that at Lincoln, my experience was positive.

Many opinions & thoughts on Portland Public Schools are controversial. There are good & bad opinions. I want to review for the good. For instance we have an amazing dance program which has been rated #1 best dance performances, from the 90’s until Now. From our hip-hoping’ beats to our delicate inviting ballet. We strive to keep our dances rooted & exciting. We also have an amazing Girls Basketball Team. The way they carry the ball in the court is extraordinary. The boy’s could use some tips. The only change we need at our school is new reconstruction & renovating. In Conclusion to this review I can truly say “YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN A DEMO”- Ikeynah Stevenson, 17 years old. JUNIOR’S RULE. #2023

I like the programs they offer in high school. There are many CTEs and elective courses. They also provide help with teen pregnancies and have an astounding health department. However, I’d like to see more money in poor areas, and more of hearing student’s voices changing school names is a good start but it’s far from enough. Students are dissatisfied with how they dealt with the water situation, and generally are expecting the schools to be a bit more put together. Elemntary schools saw cuts, I wish they hadn’t seen. I also feel that PPS is a better experienced for the privilliged since there’s so many more resources in richer schools. The difference between their poorest and richest high school is too large.I often seemore people in these poor high schools giving up, The schools don’t have complex undesrating of teens to deal with the problem, and ending up driving kid’s a way from their education. Menatl health services that students would want to attend are defienlty lacking

Student reviews of the University of Portland

Student Satisfaction:
6″>

4.6 (based on 257 student reviews)

“I think academics are the best part of school. The professors have a lot of experience to draw stories from or use as examples. They teach well because they enjoy answering questions in class and they usually can explain concepts in more than one way.”

“There are many clubs to join and the nursing curriculum is unlike any other. I really enjoy the short walks to class as it means I can get more done in a day. The professors are always ready to help or just talk. They really care about you.”

“I really like it here, there are so many really good people here, students, staff, teachers and everyone. There are tons of opportunities if you participate. It’s quite small, but that makes it more like community. It’s a great place to live.”
