Description: As parents and teachers, we are interested in good beginnings for young children. The right start in early years is an invaluable aid to the continuous unfolding of a child’s potential. Our curriculum is activity based and we believe children learn through play. We would like to offer your child a stimulating, secure and warm home away from home. Children are special and we believe in praising them for their accomplishments. Each child will be able to progress at his/her own pace, so that he/she can experiment, discover and learn. We will also try to develop their independence and confidence. We provide a learning environment with many experiences that children will investigate, represent and share.

Our loving and supportive staff respects each child’s individual capabilities and nurtures their self-esteem and creativity. Through encouraging self-expression, play and initiating choices of materials and equipment, we promote each child’s emotional, social, cognitive, language and physical development.

Our staff also sees family as partners in each child’s development and encourages ongoing communication and input.

Yew-boxwood grove. A walk through the relict forest. Monument of ancient nature. The territory of the grove was declared a protected area in 1931. Its area is 302 hectares. The grove is part of the larger Caucasian Biosphere Reserve, open to the public.

1. Asphalt road leading from Khosta to the entrance to the grove:

2. To the right of the road in the direction of the grove, you can contemplate the beautiful landscape of the Khosta River valley and the steep green slope of the opposite bank: and a legless lizard called a yellowbell:

7. Ecological and tourist routes of the yew-boxwood grove (clickable):

This post will review the walking route along the Big (5 km) and Small Ring (1.5 km). The ancient fortress was not visited.

8. On the right, after passing to the territory of the grove, there is such a toilet building:

There are no more capital toilets that are convenient for everyone on the route. There is a wooden cabin on the Big Ring.

9. We go out onto a footpath with a hard surface:

10. A walk begins in the only forest in Russia that grows in the zone of humid subtropics:

11. A very unusual type of forest for a resident of central Russia:

12. Stream:

13. The main feature of the forest in the yew-boxwood grove is moss, covering most of the trunks and branches of trees:

14. In addition to trees, moss covered rocks and stones:

15. We entered a labyrinth where a path meanders between stone walls made of layers of white limestone:

16. A limestone wall looks like a giant piece of halvah:

9000 2 17. Turn by 90 degrees:

18. Slowly ascend from the niche of the labyrinth onto the path:

19. We go to the observation deck, from which a wonderful panorama of the Khosta river valley and its surroundings opens:

20. The rock is completely covered with trees, resembling rather a giant bush:

21.

After the observation deck, we exit at the crossroads: if you go left, you will get to the Small Ring, if you go right, you will get to the Big Ring. We chose a more interesting option and turned right.

22. Entrance gate to the large ring:

23. The path passes under a limestone rock, beautifully surrounded by greenery:

According to the stories of tourists who have been there, the cave is small (5-6 on either side) and not so interesting.

Well, in the meantime, we come to another fork, where the Big and the Small ring. More precisely, at this point the hiking trail along the Big Ring ends and tourists go to the Small Ring.

We turned onto the path leading up to the left in this photo and re-passed through the section containing the labyrinth and observation deck to the first fork.

Not everything that was originally planned will be fulfilled

Work in the Birch Grove in Izhevsk has begun. Now for sure. Several times they tried to start landscaping this space, but something went wrong all the time. And so it happened. The IZHLIFE photographer captured everything.

There will be a ladder, but not for the disabled

The first thing we started back in 2022 and put everything off was the repair of the stairs. There was only a temporary descent, because the waterlogging of the soil interfered with the improvement. But by this season, the problems were solved, adjustments were made to the project. According to one of the contractors who works in Birch Grove, the stairs will be tiled and the base of the spring will be ennobled.

But there will be no descent for prams and disabled people in wheelchairs, as planned in the original project. But they promise that they will make comfortable paths next to the stairs: with fences and slight slopes.

The contractors also plan to install a gazebo near the source, make a beautiful central alley, and continue lighting work.

The fence appeared in Goat Park back in mid-May

Rubble is in place, which means that work is definitely going on

Work is going on, people are running. This is the central alley of Birch Grove, which will be completely redone

The long-awaited descent!

There will be no embankment on Karlutka

“Embankment” in the project was called the flooring of the boards along the river. But, as Igor Naumov, deputy head for production of the Improvement and Road Facilities Service of Izhevsk, explained, the work here turned out to be very costly, but there seems to be no aesthetics.

“It was decided together with the Ministry of Construction that the embankment is not needed.
