Traveling with Children – Winter Edition
A childcare center may not be the first thing you’d expect at a ski lodge. Small World Child Care center in Mammoth Lakes, California, is equipped with everything you’d find at any daycare facility. There are cribs made up in a separate room for napping, as well as toys, face painting, a play house and other child-friendly amenities.
Most providers who successfully make it through the first few years eventually start considering the idea of whether or not they could afford some help with the da care……

Managing the Christmas Excitement
As the big day approaches, parents pace may change from fast to frantic, the stores become ever crowded and the sheer noise of the season can become deafening. The child moves from bewilderment and excitement to being overwhelmed and scared. Rather than enjoying their child’s joy, parents may find themselves managing their child’s behaviour……

The Daily Walk
Many years ago I decided to add a daily walk around our neighborhood to our morning schedule. We started out small by walking around our long block. We clocked it in the car and found that it was six-tenth of a mile. That took about seventeen to twenty minutes depending on the skill set and age of the walkers…..

Transporting Daycare Kids
I know there are many types of agreements between parents and providers when it comes to having children in the provider’s vehicle. There are parents who want it for their kids and many who pay providers to transport their child to and from school and preschool. Some providers transport their own children to school and have field trips as a major selling point of their business…….

- Pebble spit of Cape Tsagan-Khushun and Lake Kurma
Cape Tsagan-Khushun, together with Kurminskoye Lake and Kurminskaya Spit, are classified as specially protected natural areas. The name of the cape is translated as “white stone”. He himself, indeed, is light and covered with red lichen, as a sign that the ecology is very good here. It is interesting that on the other side of the Small Sea there is a cape with the same name – Sagan-Khushun (popularly called Cape Three Brothers). nine0003
Cape Tsagan-Khushun limits a narrow, but long, more than 2 km, pebble spit. The pebbles here are multi-colored, polished with water and have beautiful smoothed shapes. From above it looks like a sandy beach. The pebbly spit separates Lake Kurma from the waters of Lake Baikal. The lake is a shallow sor, so in summer the water here warms up very well.
The Kurminsky Bay itself is a very attractive place in the summer: here you can swim, sunbathe, and enjoy solitude with nature. In addition, Cape Tsagan-Khushun offers a beautiful view of Lake Baikal and Oltrek Island, which is just opposite. There is an interesting arch in the cape itself, near which you can take original photographs that will remind you of a pleasant journey through Lake Baikal. nine0003
