Elsie M.

I would recommend Elsie time and time again. She is dependable and loves the babies like her own.

– Kasey A.

Shirley M.

Shirley is very sweet and caring. She is very good with our 4 month old baby boy!

– Jeffrey G.

Sofya P.

We highly recommend Sofya. She saved our family during the pandemic with her reliability, skill and willingness to go above and beyond when needed. She was willing to take extra hours and last minute requests when we were at our wits end as to how to balance work and family. If we could sum up Sofyain one word, Micheal (my husband) would say “professional” and I say “kindhearted. “…

– Sharon S.

Brandy S.

I would like to recommend Brandy as a nanny. She cared for my newborn son from 7days old -2yrs. Brandy is bright, reliable, and affectionate. She is also extremely well-versed in infant development and has a natural affinity toward children. My son had colic as a baby, and Brandy had the patience ofa saint. She spent hours walking him to try and bring him comfort, not once getting stressed out with his crying. I never had to worry about my son while in her care. Brandy knows how to structure time well, while also offering the flexibility I needed as a working mom. I feel fortunate to have hired Brandy as a nanny. I am convinced that my son owes much of his positive development to her presence. Her approach complemented my parenting style well, as she respected my personal philosophies while being confident to make day to day decisions for my son. In the two years that Brandy cared for my son, I was able to focus completely on work; and know that he was safe, happy, and loved.

About Me: I live in Mandarin, have been married for 30 years and home-schooled for 20 years. After our children graduated I decided to become a Nanny.
I love caring for infants, and teaching children usingfun play and creativity. My real strength’s are helping to schedule newborns, teaching and training little ones using a variety of reading, talking, sights, and sounds and using classical music.
Our children began music lessons at a very early age, and now as young adults they are so glad they did. I can also teach beginning Suzuki violin.
I have kept all of my home-schooling learning toys and educational materials to engage little minds and keep them entertained.
Even if your child is an infant they are never too young to be learning about the world around them.
A great benefit of reading to them at an early age is the difference it makes when they begin to talk and then go on to read.
Several years ago I worked in the NICU at four local hospitals. As an area director, my duties were to hire, train, and to have top security clearance into the NICU to photograph premature newborns.
I personally dressed and photographed over 1,500 babies. I thoroughly enjoyed my work. Presently, I am on the board of our churches Home-school Association.
I have grown up in Jacksonville and live with my husband, our two grown children, three chihuahua’s and a schnauzer.
Please feel free read my profile to see if I might be a good fit for your family. I am also available for preliminary phone interviews to see if we are a good match.
Thank you, and I look forward to speaking with you.

I could not recommend Monique more highly. We had Monique come to us when our son was 3 weeks old. The main reason we wanted a night nurse was to give my husband nights fully off since he was going to work andgive me at least some relief at night so all I had to do was feed or pump, but Monique has added so much more value than that! She has been instrumental in sleep training our son and getting him (and us) on the right track to sleep through the night. She has provided so much helpful (and nonjudgmental) advice on everything from sleeping to feeds and fussiness and breastfeeding, which has been so appreciated as first time parents. Monique is only with us at nights, but it’s almost as if she’s with us all day as she answers our constant questions by text and gives suggestions on feeding times and extending naps. The best part about Monique has got to be her personality and attitude. She is so calm, kind and funny, which is the exact energy we and our son needed!…

Newborn Care Specialists (NCS) are highly experienced individuals who have chosen to specialize in newborn and infant care. Many have undergone specialized training and have advanced knowledge in a wide variety of subject areas including lactation support and sleep training. Whereas nannies work and grow with a family for many years, an NCS is an expert who will work with you for the first weeks and months of your newborn’s life. As families transition into full-time nanny-care, an NCS can provide hands-on training for your new nanny so that consistency in care can continue after her term ends. Our clients routinely tell us that hiring an NCS was the best decision they made providing them sanity, support, and much-needed sleep.

Who’s it for?

Families that benefit most from hiring an NCS are first-time parents expecting singletons and/or multiples, families with heavy or atypical work schedules, moms recovering from a c-section, adoptive, surrogate, and same-sex parents, those without family support nearby, or parents who simply need a good night’s rest!

We have the best!

At Westside Nannies we take great pride in representing the best Newborn Care Specialists in the industry! Our team of handpicked and thoroughly vetted NCS caregivers are passionate about providing the very best in newborn care, giving parents much-needed rest and relief, and are always looking for ways to go above and beyond.

Complete overnight care, including feeding (breastmilk and/or formula), burping, soothing, changing, dressing, and age-appropriate sleep training.

Supporting new parents by teaching proper methods of care, providing lactation support, training the new nanny, and giving helpful feedback and tips.

Bathing the newborn/infant using appropriate products and water temperature and teaching parents proper methods for sponge baths and umbilical cord care.

Establishing a healthy and developmentally appropriate schedule, including sleeping, feeding, and playtime with a focus on developmental milestones.

Maintaining a thorough care log, noting feeding and sleeping patterns, as well as other pertinent information and observations in order to establish a healthy schedule.

Organizing and stocking the nursery, washing and sterilizing bottles and pumping supplies, helping with the baby’s laundry, and providing general assistance.

Newborn Care Specialists typically work either 10-12-hour overnight shifts or are hired to provide 24-hour care 5-7 days/wk. Terms vary in length between 2 weeks and 6 months; on average families hire an NCS for approximately 16 weeks (or until their baby is successfully sleeping through the night). Depending on experience, qualifications, and number of children (singleton or multiples) rates for Newborn Care Specialists can range from $35-$60/hr.

Westside Nannies recommends booking your Newborn Care Specialist 2-3 months prior to your due date (or as early as possible) as highly experienced candidates book up quickly!

If you are going to be
as a nanny for an infant, it is worth considering some features of this work. Most mothers are looking for a woman with a medical degree or with experience working with babies for such a vacancy. However, if you can not boast of either one or the other, this does not mean that you have no chance. In your favor, in addition to personal qualities, for example, the presence of your own children, nephews or grandchildren, whom you raised from infancy, can speak.

Different mothers are important

Your employer may be a seasoned mother who is not the first child. She can be theoretically savvy and clearly know what she wants from you. If she thinks that it is better to bathe the baby in cool water, not to wrap it up on the street, to feed on demand and he does not need any regimen, it is better not to argue with her. Most likely, she has already experienced a lot of disputes with her own mother, and maybe with her mother-in-law, and with the district pediatrician. Perhaps the desire to raise a child according to a certain methodology, and not according to her grandmother’s precepts, is one of the reasons why she decided to hire an assistant. She is tired of arguing and listening to other people’s advice, she herself knows exactly how to take care of the baby. If you want to work for such a mother, learn to follow the instructions as clearly as possible and express your opinion only when asked about it.

The employer may, on the contrary, turn out to be a completely inexperienced mother who herself does not really know what to do with a baby. In this case, you will have to call on all previous experience to help. Be prepared for the fact that on each issue your opinion will be asked and you, having delved into the baggage of knowledge and skills, will have to make decisions on your own (and, of course, be responsible for them).

“For a young mother, everything that happens to a baby is a novelty. Therefore, it is important that the nanny is experienced and reacts calmly to everything, – says the nanny Victoria Anatolyevna (she raised three grandchildren, has been working as a nanny in Moscow families for about five years, the current pupil is three months old). “Mom, a little bit, starts to panic, but I can’t afford it, I try to be calm, calm my mom, explain that it’s bad for a child when everyone around is nervous.

If you have to
to work in a family where a grandmother lives (or often happens), get ready for the fact that, most likely, you will have to be torn “between two fires.” It is best to prevent this immediately by clearly specifying exactly whose instructions you will follow. Otherwise, there is a high probability that, trying to please both mistresses, both will fall out of favor. As a result, mother and grandmother, after long disputes, will reconcile, and you will remain guilty.

Beware of the baby!

Those who want to work with babies, thinking that it is easier than, say, a child of three or four years old, should study the “subject” in depth. Yes, your little ward is not yet able to run away from you on a walk and enjoy floundering in puddles, he will not make a fuss in the store, begging him to buy another toy or sweet, he still does not need music and foreign language lessons, and proper care is much more important than a serious pedagogical approach.

On the other hand, keep in mind that an infant will:

  • arrange “concerts” anywhere without warning and often for no apparent reason;
  • confuse day with night;
  • require food every two to three hours;
  • require diaper changes about eight times a day, or more often;
  • he will be teething;
  • infants more often than a grown child need to be shown to doctors;
  • it is more difficult to treat him, since most of the medicines are still impossible for him, and, for example, he does not know how to blow his nose at all;
  • he may crawl away or roll away from the place where he was placed;
  • is not able to explain what hurts him and what exactly he wants at the moment

The last circumstance especially makes mothers nervous and worried about their child. Agree that leaving your tiny treasure at home or on a walk with a nanny, albeit a very good one, is not at all a trifling decision for a young mother. Your work will be controlled one way or another: by calls, video cameras, voice recorders, early returns from work, unannounced visits from relatives. Treat this with understanding.

“Personally, it’s difficult and uncomfortable for me to follow the nanny with the help of cameras, it’s like reading other people’s letters,” Maya Filippova-Kokeladze, head of the Seminars for Supernanny agency and mother of three children, shares her opinion, “I am for other things: for careful selection at the stage of interviews, for recommendations, for trial days (better – a week) and it’s great if the nanny keeps a diary, writing down for mom in detail how the baby’s day went.

Advice from Pomogatel.ru

The more calmly you react to certain methods of control, the more confidence you inspire as a person and a professional. Believe me, the parents of a baby are not interested in how you change clothes or take a shower, they just worry about the baby and they are more comfortable when there are cameras in the house. But don’t forget that it can be beneficial for you too. Video recording is an excellent insurance against unfair claims by employers. There is no better proof that you are not lazy and do nothing reprehensible.

Babysitter in Moscow. What to do if you need a babysitter for a newborn? Requirements for a nanny for an infant

Are you happily expecting a baby? Or can we already congratulate you on the appearance of a long-awaited little happiness? Then congratulations! But why such a confused look and even fear? Do not know which side to approach the baby and what to do with it? Is there a knowledgeable person nearby who can help?

Don’t be scared! This happens to many women who have become mothers for the first time. It’s time to think about finding an assistant – a nanny for babies.

After all, the first year of life is the most important. The child needs to be surrounded by care, love and affection. But when a tortured, half-asleep, uncombed and unwashed mother appears before him all the time, who tries to smile, then this will not benefit anyone. Mom also needs to rest, and this is another argument in favor of hiring a nanny for a newborn.

Let’s look at the main criteria, skills and abilities of a nanny for an infant:

  • know the physiological and psychological characteristics of a child’s development in the first year of life
  • know the rules of first aid
  • master the skills of massage for babies
  • know the features of nutrition, the introduction of complementary foods
  • be able to organize the daily routine, it is especially important for the child during this period
  • know baby development techniques
  • a babysitter in Moscow must be attentive, caring, delicate, active and mobile

Ideally, a babysitter should have:

  • work experience in maternity hospitals and other specialized institutions
  • work experience in families with such children
  • medical education, and if there is also pedagogical education, this is a huge plus, although such specialists, alas, are rare
  • experience in raising their children

An experienced nanny for a newborn in Moscow knows at what age and what can disturb the baby: colic in the stomach, first teeth, etc. She understands how to help him and alleviate the condition of the crumbs, what medicines can be given, and where you can do without them. Agree, when the baby starts to cry, and sometimes even goes into hysterics, then it is not so easy to understand what is wrong with him, what he asks for.

A nanny for a newborn child will always help you develop a daily routine: feeding time, sleep, walks in the fresh air, will always help and show you how to keep the baby’s hygiene. It’s so scary, for example, to cut nails on such tiny fingers! What about the first swim? A real stress for new parents.

Baby sitter in Moscow: how to organize the selection

I would like to specify some points in the resume of a nanny for an infant, which are usually embarrassing. For example, frequent job changes. Here you need to understand that a nanny for a baby in Moscow is the woman who helps him for the first year of his life, then very often families invite a teacher with experience in kindergartens and knowledge of methods that will prepare the child for school in the future.

Always pay attention to whether the applicant has a medical book, and if it is not, then demand to pass all the tests before going to work. Indeed, in the first year of life, children’s immunity is only being formed, and it is very vulnerable. The age of the nanny matters, as soon as the baby learns to crawl, it will be difficult to keep track of him. The most optimal age is 45 years. When a nanny for a baby in Moscow goes through trial days, carefully watch how she reacts to the child, how she talks, looks. And don’t be afraid to trust your intuition.

A nanny for a baby in Moscow is a real help to a young, inexperienced mother. You can always ask for advice or help in choosing the agency “Friendly Family”! We will be happy to help you find a highly qualified newborn care worker! And you, in turn, will enjoy such sweet moments with your child while he is very small, because they grow up so fast!

How can we help you find a babysitter

Babysitting services for young children remain one of the most sought-after services in both domestic recruitment agencies and job search sites. Despite the large number of candidates, there are not so many really professionals. Over the course of its many years of practice, the Sweet Home agency has assembled a database of the best home service specialists, including nannies for newborns. When interviewing candidates, much attention is paid to understanding the issues of safety, care, the basics of the physical, emotional, intellectual and psychological development of infants. To do this, we continuously deepen our knowledge and follow global trends on these issues.

How to choose the best candidate for the vacancy of a babysitter in Kyiv

We attach particular importance to the personal qualities of applicants, their understanding of their work tasks, the ability to properly build communication with parents, and issues of professional ethics. When interacting with a nanny, comfort should be experienced not only by the baby, but also by his parents. When accepting an order to search for a specialist, we specify in detail what kind of babysitter is required. To do this, you need to formulate clear requirements for the person to whom you entrust your child. For parents who are looking for a babysitter for a newborn, the safety aspect is especially important. Our agency requires candidates who have similar experience working in families to have references from previous employers. Clients can always read the written recommendations or call the contact numbers to make sure that they made the right choice. Recommendations can be checked by the agency manager in agreement with the client.

Find out how much a babysitter costs in Kyiv before you start the selection

To make your search successful and bring the necessary results, find out for yourself how much a babysitter will cost you. The price directly depends on the expectations for the candidate.

  • Profile medical education and experience in working with newborns in maternity hospitals, patronage services and similar, increase the cost by at least 20% of the base.
  • If the schedule goes beyond the 8-hour working day, the price will increase in proportion to the time the nanny works.
  • Accompanying a child abroad is an additional requirement. If the nanny works without accommodation, then the settlement with her when working abroad should take place at increased rates with the payment of travel allowances. The cost of a live-in babysitter may remain the same, but travel allowance must also be paid.

How quickly can you find a babysitter

Several times a month we receive inquiries “I am looking for a babysitter”. After all clarifications and approvals, we start searching for the most appropriate applicants from our database, and also do a search in the labor market. As a result, during the first couple of days, we offer selected 1-3 candidates interested in the vacancy. As a rule, the choice falls on one of them and no further search is required. If none of the applicants came up, we specify the request and continue the search. On average, selection (without special requirements), discussion of conditions, signing of contracts take about 5 working days. Active participation on the part of the customer speeds up the process and improves the result. After the conclusion of the contracts, the Sweet Home agency organizes the exit of the employee, monitors the results of the probationary period, and provides support for the period of adaptation of any of the parties, if necessary.
