Of course, everyone would like to raise their children on their own. But not everyone manages to even involve their own grandparents in the care. And then there are terrible stories from everywhere about how the nanny drank at work or beat the child. It is not advisable to refuse the services of assistants out of fear.

It is better to use specialized sites for personnel search. On 7hands, applicants upload documents for verification, pass interviews, and if necessary, an extended verification can be carried out. But even if you have hired a proven nanny with recommendations, doubts may remain.

It is absolutely normal to worry about a stranger next to the child. There are several methods of monitoring babysitters that can help calm the nerves of parents.

How to check a babysitter by references

Those who have already searched for a helper on the Internet must have encountered the problem of fake recommendations. Dishonest users can easily write themselves reviews, indicate friends and relatives as previous employers. On the site 7hands.com, the feedback is real, because you can leave them only after real cooperation.

It is quite difficult to identify fake recommendations on your own.

Experienced headhunters advise asking atypical questions to previous employers. In addition to requests to describe the nature and behavior of the nanny, ask to talk about the child, find out the age of the baby at the beginning of the conversation. There are certain warning signs that indicate that it is time to pay closer attention to a person who spends a lot of time alone with a child.

1. A worker often does not pick up the phone during her work shift.

2. The child’s mood worsens after he learns that he will have to spend time with a nanny.

3. Children often cry, look depressed, crying.

4. Requests to record a video, a photo report on the time spent are ignored.

5. The child talks about watching cartoons all day long and playing video games.

6. Bruises and abrasions appear on the child’s body.

7. Little things disappear from the house (cosmetics, expensive foodstuffs).

8. The kid began to suffer from nightmares, sleep worse. New fears have emerged.

9. The nanny cannot tell in detail about the daily routine.

The most important piece of advice for any mother is to trust your intuition. Let the suspicions turn out to be false. Do not be shy about control: you need to be sure that the baby is in physical and psychological safety.
