Description: Metropolitan Nursery School was founded in 1966 by the church as an outreach to the community. The Nursery School now serves 72 two, three and four year olds, has a staff of 14 and is known as a magical place for young children.

Over the years, Metropolitan Nursery School has remained true to its philosophy that each child is unique and learns in his or her own way. We demonstrate these beliefs through a play-based approach to early childhood education.

Young children learn best by doing, so classroom centers are designed to engage them in activity. To help children utilize all of their learning intelligences, we use: visuals, puzzles, dramatic play to act out scenarios, and sensory activities to engage all the senses. Our curriculum includes activities designed for a variety of learning levels, thus meeting each child at their unique developmental stage of growth.

Our caring teaching staff respects and encourages the abilities of each child. We provide a language-rich, socially nurturing environment in which children are encouraged to take risks, solve problems and gain trust and confidence in their own abilities. Each day the Nursery School strives to realize its mission to value every child by encouraging cooperation, exploration, singing, and all the special but ordinary activities of childhood.

About kindergarten

Municipal Autonomous Preschool Educational Institution “Child Development Center – Kindergarten “Ryabinka” is located in the center of the district capital and has a long history. The kindergarten was put into operation by the decision of the executive committee of the Salekhard City Council of People’s Deputies on December 31, 1987, from 2000 to 2002, after the reconstruction, the kindergarten again accepted little townspeople. Since then, we have been accepting every child for safekeeping, investing our best and trying to release them ready for further sailing. The kindergarten operates in order to create conditions for the realization of the rights of citizens to education in accordance with the current legislation. The leading principles of the organization of the educational process, its content and form, the main goals and objectives, ways and means of achieving them are reflected in the main general educational program of MADOU, which was developed within the framework of the Federal State Educational Standard (FSES) of preschool education. The main mission of the kindergarten is to provide pupils with a systematic, continuous and holistic pre-school (metropolitan) education. nine0019
