Junior: If you want to get ahead of the college crowd, Benjamin Franklin High School should be on your list. With rigorous courses and a plethora of AP courses to choose from, this school has got you covered. However, the prevailing mood from both students and teachers is usually depressive as a result, although teachers try their hardest to make classes engaging and fun. Since the school is public, you get all sorts of characters and backgrounds in one place, meaning you are certain to find a friend (the Franklin Summer Institute is a good way to start the school year off with friends!). On the flip side, it’s not uncommon to not encounter half of the staff/student population until your junior year, so if a close-knit community is a must for you, avoid Ben Franklin at all costs. Overall, if you can keep up with the course load, this school is for you!… Read 446 reviews

Senior: Pretty good school but also very tedious. There are some teachers that gives an awful amount of schoolwork, but having good time management and actually doing your work will get you through. Freshman to Junior year were pretty chill, but reaching Senior year was when things started to get very tedious, especially when you had to focus on both personal and school life. Students were well-behaved but a lot of them, mainly freshmen, always get caught vaping in the bathroom. I advise that you do these activities at your own personal time because it’s incredibly annoying when the bathrooms are closed at certain times. The school definitely needs a lot of improvements like being a specific race to enter school because of “racial ratio” (don’t know why that’s a thing), how education supposed to work (take Finland for ex.), and making a better schedule (not that hard). To all the freshmen of Kenner Discovery, don’t mess with the teachers nor the seniors. Know your place…. Read 31 reviews

Senior: NOMMA has been a wonderful experience for me. As they are a relatively new school, they still struggle occasionally with logistics, administration, and they have the typical, bland cafeteria food. However, the outstanding aspect of NOMMA comes with the structure that they bring to the students’ everyday lives. As the largest MCJROTC unit in the nation, NOMMA requires all students to be members of the military program, teaching them respect, discipline, integrity, and many other values, ethics, and traits that prepare them for a future in the world beyond…. The teachers create a warm, caring environment and my kids thrived learning alongside kids of all cultures, backgrounds, and interests. Senior: Attending John Ehret Highschool itself was a different experience I could go on and on about. There were teachers who did not care for their students but the ones who went out on their way to provide for their classroom environment far greatly outnumber this. The counselor (especially Ms. Woods) were extremely helpful and maid my senior year so unbelievably easy, from emailing my transcripts to college to writing over the top letter of recommendations. Due to them I was able to enter the college of my dreams. The only reason for giving a 4/5 stars has to due the with the attitude of some of the students. Don’t get me wrong I’ve made plenty of memories and was blessed with the chance to make such good friends, but there were many times when the “wild/unruly” completely ruined my day. With the constant starting fights and verbal altercation with the staff there’s students were enough to sour the mood of anyone they came into contact with. Nevertheless John Ehret was an amazing school…. Read 180 reviews

Alum: I enjoyed my time at Rooted. While from an objective standpoint it is not the best option out there, it truly is an innovative school. Especially in the greater New Orleans area. Its goal of sending students out with a college acceptance letter in one hand and a job offer in the other is admirable and I can get behind it. What it lacks in sports and art it makes up for by preparing students for a real-world workspace. We were able to learn most of the Adobe suite, 3D printing, Coding, and even game design. Considering its had 2 graduating classes so far its been able to accomplish so much and I’m looking forward to hearing news of its growth…. Read 4 reviews

Senior: Like any other high school, you begin with a rough start; hard classes, new school, and especially new people. My school is located in a rough area in Louisiana, where violence and crime is outside our window. Just because the location is bad, doesn’t mean the school is. This was my first impression entering the hurricane territory as a high school freshman. Personally my high school experience went from terrifying to terrific in 3 years, i will forever have hurricane pride but just going to class feels like a category 4 (my inside joke). We all have our bad sides and good sides of high school but what mainly kept us together is our friends. They were our main purpose of going to this school, they show us the better side of high school. Now being a high school senior, i will never regret coming to this school. My downfalls were the greatest fall I’ve ever had …. Read 154 reviews

Parent: I love that the International High School of New Orleans is a Charter School that is in the Heart of New Orleans. I believe that they are the only High School that is in Downtown New Orleans and it is in a really safe area right off of the Interstate. This makes it convenient for all who want to come there and they would never have to switch schools bc no matter where you go IHSNO still sits right smack in the middle of the city.
They teach so many languages there which really provided my child with a great background to get into college. My daughter was able to take Chinese and Vietnamese here.
They offer the IB Baccalaureate Degree that helped my daughter get into TULANE. This degree looks great on any resume. This degree is something that no other schools offer that is in the city.

Our daughter started in the Preschool 3s program nearly 6 years ago and we couldn’t be happier for both her and our son to continue their education there. The teachers, staff and administration always have the kids’ best interest at heart. The teachers and leadership is truly what makes this school so unique. It’s a place that is safe for all to learn and grow, and allows families to be involved and engaged. Academia de Danza Luis Marrero
I love ZUMBA so much! I liked these classes as an opportunity to
dance. True, it was not immediately possible to “catch” the technique and for some time
I was literally confused in my arms and legs, but the coach patiently explained and
showed slowly, with gradual acceleration, and after a few lessons I
got used to it. It’s been almost a year and I’m very satisfied. The pleasure of dancing
I get 100%! My favorite coach is LUIS MARRERO. It all started with him!
He charges with positive and pleasure from movements so much that you want to
walk again and again. Many thanks to all the girls and the coaches, too, of course!
This is the best dance school. Come and you will love dancing forever.
This is more than just a dance studio, it’s a big and friendly family.
If you want to get rid of complexes, learn to dance and acquire
excellent figure, and besides a great mood, then you are here.
My feedback is the most positive. Great friendly environment
the teachers are the best. Doing is a pleasure! And even that fatigue
after class, like something good and satisfied!
Louis is a very talented teacher and fun! Relax in his classes.
soul and learn to understand your body. Louis has an amazing technique –
the one who has NEVER danced will dance!
Luis Marrero, among other teachers of zumba and latin, stands out as an ideal
coordination of movements, brilliant technique, emotionality and artistry.
In the classroom, he flourishes, turning into a magnet for his students!
Charismatic appearance and overflowing positive – hearts are won
finally and irrevocably! Free from all superficiality, pure and open,
Luis does everything to ensure that everyone feels the joy and energy, the real
enjoyment of movement, acquired a beautiful figure, a mobile body and amazing plasticity!
I am sure that after individual lessons with Luis Marrero, you can easily become
the queen of any salsa party!
We love working with Louis. PROFESSIONAL! All classes are conducted with fiction, varied, understandable, useful and with great charm.
Sincerely, Natalia and Alexander.
Favorite choreographer: Luis Marrero. Favourite hobby –
Zumba Gold. Great teachers, you want to study with every lesson
again and again, from their energy and charisma, life becomes brighter and for all troubles
just don’t care.
A year ago I came to the School, and from the first time I really liked the classes.
I still go to them – like a holiday. The unique Louis is our teacher
– with his professionalism, imagination, sparkle and attentiveness
to each of his students – deserves gratitude and respect. Sure –
I’ll be here for a long time!
Louis! Thank you very much for yesterday’s wonderful evening, for the warmth of your heart, a lot of emotions and unforgettable impressions that you gave us! Looking forward to the video and photos! Where can you find them then?
Best regards, Margarita
