What inspires you to care for young children?

Caring for children has been a dream of mine since I was a child myself. The impact one can make in the life of a child is unlike anything else. My goal in life is to inspire children everyday to be themselves, fight for their dreams, and learn to love life in every way possible.

What’s a typical day like at your daycare?

A typical day consists of lots of play based learning where the children can be their own teacher and learn through their own play technique, art and creativity projects to inspire children to use their imagination, and quiet time to allow children to rest their minds and bodies.

What’s one thing parents should know about your program?

My program will be a very hands on program. I want the children to use their imagination and utilize play based learning in order to discover new concepts and ideas in life. Though I will be here to assist every child and further teach them about things they discover on their own, I want the children to have as much time as possible to discover new things on their own. This gives children the inspiration they need for them to want to continue learning new things in life.

We know how hard finding good child care can be – especially for first-time parents. But really good care is what gives you the peace of mind to go back to work and feel confident that your child is getting the stimulation, socialization, and support they need to learn and grow.

So we created NeighborSchools to make this piece of parenthood a whole lot easier. We say “easier” because, let’s be honest, it’s still a big thing to figure out, but working together we can help you find some good options, understand the whole process, and choose a program you’ll feel really good about.

How’s it work?

Most first-time parents don’t know exactly what they’re looking for, so we created a simple survey that will ask you questions about your lifestyle, your daily routines, and your preferences for child care. We’ll then share 3 personalized recommendations that we think might be a good fit. We’ll also give you a timeline that maps out when we would suggest you start touring programs, choose a daycare, and pay a deposit to secure a spot. Your timeline is based on when you want to start care – so you set the pace, and you decide when you’ve found the right match.

Is there a cost?

Nope. Our daycare recommendation service is free for parents. The other half of our business is helping these small-scale daycares with software and services that handle all their administrative tasks, like online contracting, payment processing, and licensing requirements. Before NeighborSchools, services like these were only designed for large corporate child care centers, and part of our mission is to level the playing field for small, independent child care programs. That’s why we picked the name NeighborSchools – we’re all about making child care more personal, more human, and more equitable for the incredible individuals who do this work and care for our children.

How do I know if I’m ready to take the survey?

Generally, if you’re here, you’re ready. The survey lets us give you 3 recommendations to consider, but it’ll also help you better understand what factors to consider, and what questions to be asking right now. It’s simple things like where you live, your child’s date of birth, when you want to start care, and if you have any preferences around program philosophy or language of instruction. Etalon City Residential Complex will catch Hokusai’s “Big Wave”

At the international exhibition MIPIM 2015, Etalon-Invest (part of the Etalon Group) presented the second stage of the Etalon City residential complex, which is being built in the southwestern district Moscow.

The second stage of the project includes six 31-storey residential towers united into a single composition by a 3-storey commercial and business complex. The TDK will house a technopark, a fitness club with a swimming pool, a shopping gallery with a large supermarket. A striking feature of the second stage will be the facades of the towers, created based on the famous engraving of the Japanese artist Katsushiko Hokusai “The Great Wave”. The area of the painting will exceed 35,000 sq.m. nine0003

“Etalon City’s façade design concept was based on the theme of the most interesting cities in the world. For the complex of tall tower houses, we found the most appropriate association with ultra-modern Japanese cities, primarily Tokyo. But for me personally, Japan is also a country of original fine arts, including the famous Japanese school of woodcut “Ukiyo-e”, the most famous representative of which was Katsushiko Hokusai. The walls of Tokyo houses with huge paintings – illuminated advertisements – combined with the Fuji motif from Hokusai’s engraving, served as the basis for the creation of the facades of “Tokyo City”. The towers stand like a fan and are displaced in relation to each other. Etalon City is a residential complex with the atmosphere of a round-the-world trip. Each house, and in multi-section houses, each entrance here has its own “face”, symbolizing a particular city. The geography of the project includes 20 cities: New York, Chicago, Barcelona, Monaco, Paris, Madrid, Bologna, Dubai, Nice, Miami, Venice, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Mexico City, Amsterdam, Rio De Janeiro, Berlin, Lisbon, Geneva, Tokyo. Strawberry Fields, New York’s Central Park, USA
