Discover Addenbrooke Classical Academy

Dear Families,

Beginning Tuesday, December 6, families will be able to register their current student(s) by letting us know if you intend to return or enroll new students. This EnrollJeffco link will provide all the information you need to enroll or register your student(s) for the 2023–2024 school year.

Current families can also update their contact information in the Infinite Campus portal. If assistance is needed with usernames or passwords, please utilize the Personal Account Manager.

You’re invited to attend a prospective family event. Join us for a presentation of our Classical Curriculum, Charlotte Mason philosophy, and immersion in Fine Arts and Athletics. Our students think deeper, play smarter, move more, and shine brighter. Presentations will be on October 25, November 17, December 14, 2022, and January 17, 2023. Presentations for families will be at 6:00 p.m. at the grammar school campus located at 3940 South Teller Street and at 6:45 p.m. at the high school campus located at 3605 South Teller Street. Guided tours will follow the presentations. Addenbrooke Classical Academy is a Jeffco Tuition-Free Charter school. We look forward to getting to know you.

A Liberal Arts Education Using a Classical Framework

Trivium

We practice the Trivium by incorporating teaching methods necessary for the grammar stage, the logic stage, and rhetoric stage, as well as the content traditionally found in each.

Quadrivium

We offer and study arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy to gain an understanding of the integral nature of the universe.

Core Knowledge

The Core Knowledge scope and sequence, developed by E.D. Hirsch, is taught in grades kindergarten through eighth grade.

Charlotte Mason Principles

Using the Charlotte Mason methods of nature study, the study of habits, art and music, living books, narration and dictation, we seek to spark curiosity in students and inspire them to discover the pleasure of learning for its own sake.

Latin

Beginning in fifth grade, and intensifying in grades seven and eight, all students study Latin. Besides its modern use in the medical and scientific fields, this study is invaluable in learning grammar, parts of speech, vocabulary, and increasing the ability to write well.

Lakewood – located in Colorado

Lakewood is a city in the United States of America, located in the state of Colorado. The city of Lakewood is the most populous city in the Jefferson County metropolitan area and the fourth most populous city in the entire state. Thus, according to the population census for 2005, 140 thousand people live in the city.

The beginning of Lakewood history is recorded in 1969. At the time of granting the city status, about 90 thousand people. The city is listed among the largest urban settlements in the United States at the time of its registration. The community in this city has existed for about 80 years. Today, the head of Lakewood is a mayor named Bob Murphy.

The climate prevailing in Lakewood is sharply continental. The air temperature can fluctuate from +14 C to +25 C during the year. In winter, the temperature can drop below 0 C. During the year, about 300-400 mm falls in these places. precipitation.

Lakewood began to develop from 1889. It was founded by Charles Welch and Loveland, who was a manager on the Colorado Central Railroad.

Lakewood has a prestigious High School. It is also where Colorado Christian University was once founded.

In the recent past, the city center was called Villa Italia Mall. But relatively recently, the city council decided to demolish Villa Italia Mall and rebuild Belmar, which is already a modern city center with a successful combination of shopping centers, residential buildings and all kinds of cultural institutions, according to the authorities.

City of Lakewood Attractions is the Arts and Ideas Lab, located in the city’s newly rebuilt downtown Belmar.

Residents and guests of the city can visit an excellent national Mexican restaurant called Casa Bonita with pleasure.

The Denver Federal Center is the largest location for many federal agencies located outside the capital, Washington, DC.

The city boasts several excellent theatres.

Another attraction of the city is the Heritage Center. This is a kind of museum, consisting of many separate historical buildings. This unique Lakewood Heritage Center is located on the very shores of the picturesque lake Kountze.

This lake is a perfect place to spend your free time and relax with your family. Lakewood also has some wonderful amusement parks. There are a wide variety of shops and shopping centers, numerous restaurants, cafes and bars.

There are many companies in the city specializing in the production of medical devices and drugs. Light industry and the food industry are also widely developed in the region

The city of Lakewood is connected with the neighboring cities of Colorado and many cities of other states by an extensive network of highways and roads. And the main city transport in Lakewood are buses.
