About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.

My son and I are very satisfied. I get updates from teachers all the time.
Posted by a parent on 11/4/2013
The teachers are probably the best because the test scores are low and there are barely any electives and something makes the students careless. There is also not the best peer environment as well

The phone number on this home page for Lakeside Middle School is not correct. It should be (562) 868-9422. I reported this over a year ago. Thank you 🙂

I LOVE LAKESIDE I’m an eighth grader here and my teachers are amazing. I used to have average grades (B’s some A’s) , my teachers this year makes the things we’re learning super fun and interesting. I can’t wait until i see what happens this year!!!! Mrs. Pilios can make anything you learn interesting in a snap. -student ;D

This was the worst school any of my children have ever attended. Whe nI asked for daily reports to make sure my son was completing all of his assignments at school and turning in all of his homewrok, the teachers stated that they would check and sign his planner everyday. That happened whenever the teachers felt like signing it – unacceptable when I’m trying to work with you to help my child succeed in your class. Secondly, the level of racism at this school was unreal for such young kids. I have no idea what is being taught in the home, but when a child is being racist, inlcuding making derogatory remarks and hitting a child, they should be expelled from school not just talked to. This school was a horrible experience for my child – I had to pull him out after 1 semester.

My son loves going to school because the teachers make learning fun. I like that my son is learning how to use computers more and being able to learn about engineering.

From the moment we stepped into the front office we felt welcome here. Our kids feel both challenged and cared for here. We feel strongly about the dedicated staff and administration, they pour their lives into other people’s children as if they are their own. This year the class sizes have increased across the district but everybody in this community just committed to working harder. There are many parent volunteers here and a good amount of after school activities. They take great care to make everyone feel included and somehow create an environment that is cohesive despite the great amount of diversity in the student population. There are schools with better test scores, but the close knit community feeling here is as strong as any school we have ever come across.

Great school! My kids have been lucky; they’ve had really good teachers. They are all advanced and I couldn’t ask for more. Key factor for all the parents; involvement. Good teachers are not enough to have your child excel in school. As a parent you need to be a part of their education, be involved and stay informed.

I transferred my son to Baxter from Woodruff, as he was bullied and placed in a combo class there. Since attending Baxter now for his 3rd year, he has become so much more confident, and loves school again! The teachers actually take the extra time to help students in places they may be struggling in. They engage in a lot of fun activities for the whole family, welcoming you with open arms! I LOVE Baxter! Im sad that its my sons last year here!

Institute Auf Dem Rosenberg
$87.4 thousand per year
The motto of this school in the German part of Switzerland is “Learning to live is the highest goal of education”
Here they strive to develop the abilities inherent in each child, and to find an approach to each (therefore, there are only eight students in the class on average). Institut Auf Dem Rosenberg offers three study sections (German-Swiss, International and Italian) and five academic programs: Swiss, German, Italian, British and American.
On weekends, excursions to European cities, visits to exhibitions, sports outings, etc. are organized here. One of the important school traditions is the annual ball, to which parents, friends and graduates are invited. This is the moment when everyone can demonstrate their achievements or reveal their creative side.

Institute Auf Dem Rosenberg
Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz
$87. 6 thousand per year
And here the motto is “A healthy mind in a healthy body”, and in Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz they really strive for physical and spiritual perfection. Students go in for skiing and figure skating, play hockey, football, tennis and golf, attend karate, boxing and Pilates sections, participate in tournaments and championships.
All this does not negate excellent academic preparation. In addition to elementary grades and several high school programs focusing on science, economics and law, art and painting, the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz has a business school. Classes are conducted in German or English.
The school is located in a small picturesque village, 200 km from Zurich. Most of the students are Swiss and Germans, 25% are guys from other countries. In addition to sports, children are engaged in theatrical art, music and painting, comprehend oratory. On weekends, they are waiting for excursions, expeditions, educational trips and entertainment.
Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz
The American School in Switzerland
$88.5 thousand per year
TASIS, near Lugano, is the oldest American school in Europe. It provides an interdisciplinary education with an emphasis on the arts, and foreign travel is an important part of the training.
The school was founded in 1956 by a Harvard graduate to prepare boys and girls for admission to American universities, as well as to study European culture and languages. A little more than 700 students study here – guys from the USA and Canada, Europe, Asian countries, representatives of Latin America and the Middle East.
There are no more than 13 students in each class. Children travel a lot, get acquainted with the cultural heritage of Europe, and go in for a variety of sports, and in January they go to a ski resort for a week. Approximately 30% of TASIS graduates go to universities in the US and the UK, the rest go to universities in Europe, Japan, Australia and China.
The American School in Switzerland
Brillantmont International School
$89.5 thousand per year
The school is located in the center of Lausanne, the heart of the Olympic Movement, a city with famous universities and a rich cultural life.
Saturation and balance between the academic, creative and sports component is what Brillantmont International School strives for. Students here are taught respect for other cultures, provided with an international standard training program, and helped to form a holistic personality.
The school has many extra-curricular activities, a large cultural and sports complex, has its own UN model, a rock group, sports teams and a theater studio, as well as the opportunity to participate in volunteer projects of the international organization HFHI in other countries.
Brillantmont International School
College du Leman
$96.5 thousand per year
This school in Versoix is located just 9 km from Geneva and at the same time away from the bustle of the metropolis, among the picturesque landscapes. The need for such an educational institution arose at the end of the 1950s, when many international companies settled in Geneva, and therefore foreign specialists with families.
Today, the Collège du Leman has about 1900 students from 8 to 18 years old, and the school also has a bilingual kindergarten. One of the objectives of the school is to help children from different countries learn the values of cosmopolitanism.
And it’s also easy to reveal your talent here: master skiing and horseback riding, try yourself on stage, participate in a charity project
College Du Leman cultivates an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, educational, sports and entertainment events are constantly organized.
The school has a student UN and publishes its own magazine. High school students are offered a one-year Gap Year program – a kind of “sabbatical leave” between graduation from school and entering university, which can be devoted to sports, art or another way of “getting to know life”.
College du Leman

Leysin American School
$98.8 thousand per year
Leysin American School is an American boarding school for students in grades 9-13. It is located in the mountains of the French part of Switzerland, in a very sunny region, where it is clear almost all year round.
The key principles of LAS have remained unchanged since its founding in the middle of the last century: to strive for excellence in international education. Students are divided into faculties and study in small classes (no more than 14 people), so that the attention of the teacher is enough for everyone.
The school has excellent academic results: each of its graduates successfully enters the coveted university.
A lot of attention is paid to sports: the children have a choice of many sections, and in winter ski lessons are held for everyone.
Leysin American School
St. George’s International School
108. 5 thousand dollars per year
St. George’s International School is located in Clarens on the shores of Lake Geneva. As part of the “Swiss Riviera”, this area was once loved by many Russian celebrities.
At different times, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, Nabokov lived and worked here.
St. George’s International School is the first British school to open in Switzerland: it was founded in 1927 by two Oxford graduates.
Particular attention is paid to languages, arts and sports, and the academic load is not inferior to Oxford.

Sverdlovsk residents noticed a huge pile of rubbish on the shore of Lake Tavatuy. The vacationer said that back in June the territory was clean, and by the end of August it had turned into a large dump.
“Most of the people who threw this out came in cars. These are one hundred percent vacationers, there are a lot of plastic containers in the garbage. The wind blows this disgrace all over the coast,” an indignant eyewitness told E1.RU.
Previously, MK-Ural spoke about the problems of the settlements of the Nevyansk urban district, located on the shores of Lake Tavatui. The situation worsened at the height of the summer season, when tens of thousands of vacationers from all over the Sverdlovsk region rushed to Lake Tavatuy.
