AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Winfield KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)

You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • My son had never been in childcare before and the teachers at the Winfield KinderCare made him feel so at home and at ease that he loves coming everyday! He has learned so much from being in this environment that he amazes me everyday as he continues to grow! I love the time my child’s teacher spends with him and helps him become a wonderful child!

    Samantha B. – KinderCare Parent
  • My three and five-year-old children have been attending KinderCare since they were each 12 weeks old.  The curriculum is top-notch. Everything that is done is done deliberately. My children both love learning, and I love the special programs like music, cooking, phonics, and math that allow them to spend more in-depth time on subjects that they love in smaller groups. I give KinderCare the highest recommendations, and I don’t think that my children would be as far along as they are if we had chosen another school.

    Jamie – KinderCare Parent
  • My family has had a great experience with the Winfield KinderCare. We came from another small day care and didn’t know what we were missing out on until we joined the KinderCare Family! The teachers have taken such great care of my son and taught him so much! They took the time to work with him individually and help him grow in the areas he needed help in! The staff and teachers are wonderful!

  • When asked to describe my experience with the Winfield KinderCare, I can’t help but smile! We’ve been a part of this “family” for almost two school years now. Having come from a home daycare, we were hoping for teachers who would love on our kids, while at the same time teach from a solid curriculum. What we experienced at our KinderCare ended up being so much more than we hoped. Our two kids have been through the Infant room all the way up now to the Private Kindergarten room—and it’s clear that the transition each step of the way has been natural due to the fact that this KinderCare is a tight-knit team. It’s obvious that Michelle has very high expectations that the teachers strive to achieve—all the while caring for kids in a tender and personal way. All of the teachers know all of the kids—they greet them, engage with them, and are quick to help the kids feel comfortable and connected. It has amazed me how much my kids LOVE their teachers—and not only their “lead teachers”, but all of the teachers they encounter in one day. They come home talking about their day and what they learned—and the following day the teachers follow that up with asking my kids how they are doing and what they did at home or over the weekend. It truly is a family here at this center—when staffing positions change, the kids, parents, and teachers alike mourn. Michelle works very hard to bring in the best lead teachers. The transition is often seamless as the whole center works as a team to care for the kids and parents alike—all with one’s own unique needs—yet maintaining a sense of professionalism and fairness. I cannot state enough how much I value the curriculum and the teaching methods that are practiced. My kids have learned invaluable skills, both academic and social! I have never thought twice about our decision to send our kids to this center. Our kids love their teachers, their friends, and all that this center pours into their lives.

SCOTT WINFIELD • Great Russian Encyclopedia

Authors: K. V. Minyar-Beloruchev

SCOTT WINFIELD (Winfield Scott) (13.6.1786, near St. 5.1866 West Point, New York), American military and political figure, commander of the US armies (1841–1861), lieutenant general (1855).

Raised in Virginia, studied law at the College of William and Mary. In 1807, he volunteered for the militia (militia) of the state of Virginia as a cavalry corporal. In 1808 he joined the US Army, receiving the rank of captain of the light artillery.

With the outbreak of the Anglo-American War of 1812-1814. received the rank of lieutenant colonel and was sent to the Canadian front. During an unsuccessful attempt to invade Canada, he was captured. After his release as part of an exchange of prisoners of war, he received the rank of colonel (1813) and continued to serve on the Canadian front. At the beginning of 1814 he was promoted to brigadier general, in October of the same year, after the capture and burning of Washington by the English troops, he was appointed commander of the American troops in Maryland and northern Virginia. After the end of the war, he continued his military service with the rank of brigadier general in various posts. In 1836, he participated in the suppression of uprisings of the Indian tribes of the Seminoles and Creeks, in 1838 he carried out the forced resettlement of the Cherokee tribe to the West. In 1838–1839gg. As tensions escalated along the US-Canadian border, Scott was given the task of preventing further escalation of the situation, mainly by appeasing American citizens living in the border areas. Scott accomplished the task by combining a show of willingness to use force if necessary to protect American interests and a determination to stop unauthorized actions by local patriots, aided, among other things, by his reputation as a war hero of 1812-1814.

In 1839, Scott applied for the Whig nomination for President of the United States, but another general (retired) was preferred to him – W. G. Garrison . After Harrison won the election, Scott was promoted to major general and was appointed commander in chief of the US Army (1841). During the 90,011 Mexican-American War of 1846-1848. personally led the Central Mexican campaign of 1847. He planned and implemented the landing in the city of Veracruz, from where he invaded the central part of the country and occupied Mexico City. Scott’s military successes forced the Mexican side to sign a peace treaty in the city of Guadalupe Hidalgo, which provided for significant territorial concessions.

In 1848, Scott again tried to become a candidate for president from the Whig party, but another hero of the war with Mexico was nominated – General Z. Taylor . Whig presidential candidate in 1852, but lost to Democrat F. Pierce in the election. Scott was given the rank of lieutenant general (1855), previously held only by J. Washington , in recognition of Scott’s merits.

Meeting the beginning of the Civil War 1861-1865. as Commander-in-Chief of the US Army, Scott developed the Strategic plan “Anaconda” , providing for the establishment of control over the course of the Mississippi and a naval blockade of the southern states. After a series of military defeats by the armies of the North, Scott resigned in October 1861.

Buried at West Point Military Academy Cemetery.
