AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED
We’re so proud!
Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.
SCHOOL-READY
What Learning Looks Like
Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.
Vienna KinderCare Programs
Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)
Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.
Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)
Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.
Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)
This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.
Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)
This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!
Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)
When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.
Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program
Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)
KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.
Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)
Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)
STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)
You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but
what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to
make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and
more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do
amazing things!
Our Teachers
We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.
Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!
A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH
An Artist’s Heart
“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.
We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

I also wanted to say that we are very pleased with your daycare, the staff, and everything about the daycare. [Our baby] is always smiling when we drop him off, and still smiling when we pick him up. This speaks volumes about your caring staff, in that he feels very comfortable at daycare.

We had a great experience at your center and I can tell [my child] began to get more comfortable every week, and loves the teachers and his friends. Snigdha is a wonderful Center Director and we felt very welcome at Vienna KinderCare. I will definitely recommend your center to people looking for daycare in the future.
Youlee D. – KinderCare Parent

We truly appreciate your entire staff at the Infant Classroom who has taken great care of [our daughter]. Thank you, Snigdha, for ensuring our daughter has great care at Vienna Kindercare!

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate everything you’ve done to help [our daughter] improve her ability to relate and play with kids her age. She’s gone from the various comments of her inability to talk at school and relate to other kids to being able to play with kids her age with less prompting by an adult. It’s truly a tribute to both her and the efforts of your team at Vienna location, including the Center Director, Snigdha Ravy, and the teachers, Ms. Larisa, Ms. Hengameh and Ms. Sharon, all of whom never stopped helping her. You’ve helped build the foundation for her improved academic achievement, focus and social interactions. The impact of your help is so significant and will help her for the rest of her life. I truly can’t thank you enough and will be forever grateful.

I’ve wanted to let the staff at Vienna KinderCare know, for many years now, how much I enjoyed being at their center between 1995 when I started at age 3, to 2001 when I left there at age 9 to move to Canada. I fondly remember Ms. Sharon, and if there are other teachers that were there during that time that are still there today (Ms. Mary, Ms. Rosa to name two I remember well). I want you to know that I am now twenty one, and in college, having graduated from high school in 2011. While I was only at KinderCare on school breaks once I started elementary school, I benefited a lot from their care, and loved their large supply of toys and music tapes. (Now I guess the tapes are CD’s!) I am totally blind, and enjoyed playing with the toys that made noise the most and listening to the different story and music tapes the center had back then. Today I am still an avid music lover of all kinds of music, and I credit KinderCare for playing a part in that. I still remember some of the children from when I was there and the experiences I had with them, and now, I know that most of those children are either in the latter years of elementary school, in middle school, high school or college, just like me. How time flies.
Keep up your great work. Say hello to the veteran teachers that are still there that taught when I was attending. Let them know I fondly remember them and thank them for the kindness they showed me during my time there.Ana G. – KinderCare Parent

I have wonderful things to say about Vienna KinderCare. The teachers and staff there have always been amazing, loving and very caring. My son has thrived and learned so much at this school! He knows every one there by name, and loves them all. It has always warmed my heart to see how much he loved being there. There have been times he didn’t even want to go home, which I always took as a compliment and assurance that he was receiving the best care and attention he needed. I will be forever thankful for each and every person there, and how they have always gone above and beyond for our family, especially how accommodating and loving they have been in regards to my son’s needs and health concerns. Vienna KinderCare has made a positive impact in our life, and have become our family.

Vienna – City Guide
At the foot of the Alps, on the banks of the Danube, stands the beautiful Vienna. The capital of waltzes, the cultural capital of Europe, the city of inspiration and the city of charm. There are hundreds of such definitions for Vienna, because it shows its unique face to each of its guests. Someone will see it in the iridescent splashes of fountains, someone in the tall spiers of Gothic cathedrals or intricate broken lines of houses of modern architects. Vienna, like hundreds of years ago, will amaze you with the splendor of ball gowns and operatic vocals, give you delicious coffee, and how it feeds …! Vienna is as romantic as a young maiden and at the same time as pragmatic as a banker. She is busy and idle. But certainly will not leave anyone indifferent.

Districts of Vienna
Today, Vienna is divided into 23 districts, each of which is given a serial number and a name. The district number is indicated on the address plates in front of the street name and house number. District number 1 is called the Inner City and is the main district of the capital, its tourist center and, in fact, the Vienna that existed until the middle of the 19th century. At number 4 is another oldest district of the city – Wieden. The first mention of this place dates back to 1137. However, absolutely all administrative units can boast of sights and curiosities.

Population
The inhabitants of the Austrian capital are welcoming and friendly, the status of the tourist center of Europe obliges a lot. The ethnic composition of the population of Vienna is very diverse. Slovaks, Slovenes, Hungarians, Czechs, Croats live here. But most of all – the Germans. After Berlin, Vienna is the second largest city in the world where the majority of the inhabitants speak German.
Brief history
The first inhabitants of these lands were the Celts. The remains of their settlements are still found by archaeologists. Around the middle of the 1st century A.D. e. on this territory an outpost of the Roman Empire appeared. They named him Vindobona. After its collapse, the Huns, Avars, Slavic tribes ruled here, until the troops of Charlemagne arrived here in the 9th century. It was during the reign of the Carolingians, in 881, that the name Vienna was first found in documents. The city received the capital status in 1155. In the middle of the 13th century, the Habsburgs reigned in Vienna.
Frederick V is crowned in Rome, receives the title of emperor and unites the Austrian lands. Thus Vienna becomes the capital of the empire. In the Middle Ages, the city was subjected to Turkish raids several times. Epidemics of typhoid and cholera broke out every now and then. Here, as in all of Europe, the plague raged, which wiped out a third of the population of the Austrian capital. The city was twice occupied by Napoleonic troops. The development of industry and crafts falls on the 18th century, and by the 20th, Vienna, by right, began to be called the cultural center of Europe. But unpleasant events came again: the First World War, the fall of the Habsburgs, the Anschluss to Germany, and then the Second World and Soviet occupation of part of the city, which lasted until 1955 years old. The next rise begins after the withdrawal of Soviet troops. Vienna is regaining its historical face and today it is beautiful and loved by tourists.

The best time to visit Vienna
Vienna is equally good at any time of the year. The coldest months here are December and January. But temperatures rarely drop below -10°C, usually staying around 0°C. Sometimes bad winds blow. But the vagaries of nature successfully compensate for the festive Christmas and New Year decorations of the city, sales, famous balls, hot coffee, punch and mulled wine. The hottest months are July and August. The temperature can rise to +30 °C, but most often the thermometer does not go above +25 °C. In summer, Vienna is filled with tourists.
Good weather and long daylight hours make it possible to wander the streets of the Austrian capital longer. And if it gets hot, you can have a wonderful time in numerous museums and parks. Autumn in Vienna is amazing and beautiful. Against the backdrop of golden-purple trees, the city looks absolutely fabulous.
Useful notes
It is very convenient to explore the Austrian capital by bike. It’s mobile and cheap. You can rent a bike at the Citybike parking lot, they are scattered throughout the city. The first hour you can ride completely free, the second hour will cost one euro, three hours – 2 euros, and if you take a bike for the whole day, it will cost 4 euros. Cycling routes with the most interesting sights are laid out on the map of the city. And it can be obtained free of charge in the tourist centers of Vienna.
You can save a lot on drinking water in Vienna. You don’t have to buy it here. Special fountains are installed throughout the city, they are marked with the inscription Trinkwasser. Bringing an empty bottle with you, you can collect water in them absolutely free of charge. Water quality is closely monitored, it is carefully filtered.
Free wi-fi is easiest to catch in the central squares, on the Danube Island, in the Naschmarkt market, near St. Stephen’s Cathedral, almost along the Mariahilferstrasse shopping street, in the Westbahnhof station building and in tourist information centers.
To get into the famous Vienna Opera, it is better to book tickets online. For the most popular performances, this needs to be done several months in advance. Tickets at the top galleries will be the cheapest. An available opportunity to touch the beauty will be entrance tickets – standing places behind the stalls, almost opposite the stage. They are sold before the performance.
When you visit some of Vienna’s museums, you don’t have to waste time queuing for the cloakroom. Follow the arrow pointer to the lockers. If they are in the form of drawers, lock clothes and bags in them. You only need to have a coin of 2 euros with you, without it the lock will not close. When you open the lock, the coin will be released and you will take it back.
What a tourist needs to do in Vienna
- Spend the whole day in the heart of the city. At the same time, slowly wander through the narrow streets, looking at palaces, houses, noticing the details in the form of unusual sculptures and stucco decorations that adorn the facades.
- See Vienna from above. For this, an observation deck on Mount Leopoldsberg is suitable. But it’s better to climb one of the towers of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, which is one of the most famous Viennese sights. It is worth going inside to inspect its decoration, go down to the catacombs and listen to organ music.
- Dedicate one day to the famous Belvedere, the summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy. The complex consists of the Upper and Lower Palaces, surrounded by a magnificent park. In the Upper Palace you can admire artistic masterpieces, including the famous “Kiss” by G. Klimt, in the Lower – luxurious palace interiors. And be sure to make a wish by rubbing the sphinx woman’s chest clockwise.
- Arrange a “musical tour” because Vienna is a city of great composers. Visit the museum-apartment of Johann Strauss, Mozart’s house, where he wrote The Marriage of Figaro. And go to the central cemetery of Vienna, where the graves of the father and son of the Strauss, Beethoven, Schubert, Salieri, Brahms and the memorial gravestone of Mozart are located. And, of course, be sure to visit the Vienna Opera. Just do not forget that the opera season lasts from September to June. The opera is closed in July and August.
- Go on a boat trip along the Danube and admire the city from the water, and if you take an evening cruise, then also the sunset.
- Take a ride on the oldest Ferris wheel in the Prater amusement park. It was built back in 1897. The park is open around the clock, there are attractions for both children and adults. The chain carousel in the Prater is the largest of its kind in the world. Its height is 117 meters, and the speed of rotation is 60 kilometers per hour.
- Wander around the MuseumsQuartier. Here, on a vast territory of 60 thousand square meters, a variety of museums, concert and creative venues, recreation areas and bookstores are collected. By the way, many museums practice days of free visits, for example, on the first Sunday of the month. But it is better to check on the official websites.
- Spend a day at the oldest zoo in the world – Schönbrunn. It was opened back in 1752, but even before that, in its place, there was a shelter for four-legged animals. The life of animals here is as close as possible to the conditions of their habitat in the natural environment. Today it is an ultra-modern zoo with a total area of about 17 hectares, where regular excursions are held, including night ones.
- Taste Vienna by tasting the famous Sacher or strudel with a cup of divine Viennese coffee, Mozart chocolate liqueur, or fortifying yourself with a Viennese schnitzel and sausages.
- Wander through the Vienna Woods, shrouded in hundreds of fairy tales and legends.
