I also worked at a daycare a couple of years ago that gave me experience with children ranging from ages of 2 months old newborns to 6 years old. Due to pursuing my degree in Social Work, I now babysit when able to for any special occasion or personal business and for the summer….

Jenn nannied our one year old boy until we sadly moved out of the area. She truly has a gift for childcare. She thoughtfully plans activities and crafts each day, prepares a variety of foods, and leaves yourhome cleaner than when she arrived. Some of her qualities that I valued the most were her creativity, flexibility, and trustworthiness. I knew that my son was in the best hands in her care. The only thing that I would say could be improved is her punctuality, but of course traffic, trains, etc are always unpredictable. I have taken care of boys and girlsranging from 12 yrs-NB. I have stayed close with many of the families I’ve worked for, spending special occasions with them and celebrating milestones.
I have always loved working with kids. I enjoy kids because they each have an amazing and unique personality that is so different from adults. I enjoy watching infants grow into fascinated toddlers and then into curious kids. Being from a family of educators I understand that kids need to know so much before entering kindergarten now. I think that it is important for kids to learn through play and everyday things. If you are interested in learning more, feel free to message me!…

Kristina worked as our full-time nanny for several months after my family and I moved to San Diego. She clearly had a lot of experience working with infants, toddlers, and young children. My husband and I felt100% comfortable leaving our then 8-month-old daughter in Kristina’s care. She knew just what to do when our daughter was fussy or wasn’t feeling well, and was also very knowledgeable about age-appropriate toys and products (which helped us out a lot). Also, we were impressed with her reliability. She gave us lots of notice whenever she needed time off, and continued to come to work everyday even after suffering a foot injury. The only reason why Kristina is no longer with us is that our daughter has transitioned to daycare. However, it’s clear that our daughter misses Kristina very much! …

Girls, tell me, do you ask your nanny for a copy of your passport? And how do they feel about it? I’m going to hire a nanny, today I asked her for a copy of my passport, to which she answered me: why do you need it, I’ll bring it – you look and that’s it . .. On the one hand, I understand her – everywhere they write “do not give a copy of your passport to anyone.” On the other hand, I trust her with my child… What do you think? How to behave? Insist?

Nadin0402 **

03/17/2011 16:31

really – why do you need it? if something happens to your child, this copy will not give you anything … unfortunately.

Anonymous

17.03.2011 16:39

do you have a nanny? did you just verbally agree with her or did you conclude an agreement? Did you check your passport details?

Nadin0402 **

17.03.2011 17:18

I am a nanny myself, the employer did not ask or check anything, the fact is that at that moment, while the nanny was with the child, the mother was at home, she just needed an assistant. If I had turned out to be especially dangerous, even a passport would not have helped, now you can’t hear any stories … I don’t want to scare you.

Anonymous

03/17/2011 17:08

I usually copy the data in a notebook: full name, date of birth, registration and passport number. Data is needed if you need to look for a person. They have the right not to give a copy (people are afraid that they can take advantage of this), but I have not met opponents to provide passport data.

Anonymous

17.03.2011 17:23

Thank you, I’ll do that. I liked the nanny, it seems like I would not want to insist and immediately “spoil” the relationship.

Nadin0402 **

17.03.2011 17:24

Moreover, if you liked it, don’t insist.

Anonymous

17.03.2011 17:24

Imagine yourself for a moment as a nanny who steals and then sells her children (God forbid!). A whole team “works” on such cases, most likely, which easily makes fake passports, and numbers, and a residence permit, and a photo, and a name, and a patronymic – everything can not be real! You will not find anyone, even if you write everything down in a notebook.

Anonymous

17.03.2011 17:50

Come on you come up with horror stories. It is much easier to steal children from a store, a playground and a clinic than to build such a complex scheme and “shine” when hiring a nanny. Passport data is needed to find an unscrupulous person, a thief, for example. The same militia will ask for his data. Or a completely everyday situation, I once lost an employee. He didn’t come in the morning, didn’t call, didn’t answer phone calls, etc. What to do? Yes, I was looking for him in order to understand what happened and know what to do: fire this one and hire another, or the person fell ill and could not tell.

Yes, you are right, of course. I didn’t even think about “light up”.

I have this: either I write down her data in the computer or the nanny gives me a copy of the passport.

This is the first requirement. If it doesn’t, goodbye. In fact, none of them have turned me down yet.

I made a copy. Just so that the nanny knows that I have this copy – such a guarantee.

I always give a passport. If necessary, they make a copy (they say it’s for reliability). I can’t imagine what can be done with a copy? (like, issue a loan?). If the employer feels safe with a copy of my passport, good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Our nanny herself gave her passport at the interview, I don’t see any crime in that. We have been working together for 7 years.

The author, if the nanny DOES NOT WANT to give passport data – this is somewhat strange … She gets a job. When applying for a job, the employer gives you a look at your passport? Or provide all required documents? Including give information about the composition of the family, actual addresses of residence, etc. ? Even if you do not enter into an agreement with me as a nanny, then an oral agreement “according to concepts” does not exclude the nanny from providing his documents in a normal calm mode. Think first of all about the safety of your child, whom you will leave alone with this nanny. And not about whether it is convenient or not to ask her documents

What you need to do: a copy of the Russian passport, go home – see how he lives and understand if this is really the “home” of this person, take a picture of the nanny. At least look at the work book – there you will see if there were penalties, for example, for drunkenness. Or thanks were issued annually. You will see the actual places and professions of this nanny – this is for the case when you see a person for the first time in your eyes – more than relevant

She showed me all this, including thanks and even brought her diplomas. Not a teacher in the past, but still, I liked it, it speaks of responsibility. I didn’t go to her house, although she invited … I think we’ll visit there over time :), since there is an agreement sometimes on the weekend for a couple of hours to leave the child, if we suddenly need somewhere.

Yes, she showed me her passport right away at the first meeting :). she also brought with her a work permit, all sorts of letters :), even offered to go to her house to see that she was neat (we live not far from each other). Just when I asked her for a copy of the passport, she answered like this. But everything was resolved – she brought her passport – I rewrote all the data from there. Calm down.

On the first working day I scanned her passport. If she had refused, I would have said goodbye to her right away. Moreover, I sent her documents to a friend in the authorities for verification, you never know …

Over the past decade, due to the transformation of the labor market and the departure of a large segment of it into the shadows, new professions have appeared, whose representatives work “without registration”

Natalia Denisova, Kyzylorda

These are people living on temporary part-time jobs, without any labor guarantees and not making plans for the future. In Kyzylorda, going to the classifieds site in the “Services” section, we managed to find a good dozen of such citizens who told about what they do and on what conditions they work in order to have money for food.

Saken Dismantler

– From spring to autumn, my two friends and I are busy dismantling old buildings for building materials and clearing sites for construction, – says Serik. – The work is hard, because only dilapidated buildings are demolished. Mostly people buy them so that later they can build a new house in the same yard. People like me are privately hired for, shall we say, productive demolition. This means that the building must be carefully disassembled, if possible, intact building materials should be preserved, and construction waste should be raked into a separate pile. By the way, the owners then sell it to construction companies that prepare foundation pits for large houses. Irregularities and swamps fall asleep with this garbage.

According to Saken, his occupation is rather dangerous.

– We start dismantling from the roof, where usually slate or other flooring has already outlived its usefulness, – he says. – To fail, just to fall, to catch on a rotten beam sticking out is easy. You have to take risks, you need money. Although not all owners are honest. Some will give an advance, and then you go around, begging, how you take it out of your soul, for weeks. Others strive to pay with scrap metal, old bricks, loose concrete slabs. Once each was offered two rams. Here at least they honestly said: there is no money. We took it, sheep is meat … I have been working on analysis for eight years now, but, it is clear that with age I will not be able to climb roofs, lift weights. You need to come up with something else.

Mustafa the killer

– The neighbors even gave me the nickname “killer”, – the already elderly handsome man smiles. – In fact, my profession is calm and necessary: I am invited by people who need to properly slaughter cattle, then divide the carcass into veins. I know how to do all this, as it should be, since childhood. My father worked at a meat-packing plant in Soviet times. He butchered the carcasses of cattle and loved his work. He took me with him when one of the neighbors asked to kill a calf or a ram for the holiday. People thanked my father, gave him gifts, treated me with sweets. And my dad and I, satisfied with life, returned home … I also went to slaughter and butcher other people’s livestock for a small fee and some giblets, when at the age of 55 I was left without a job. Yes, I’m not officially employed anywhere, but I don’t sit on my wife’s neck, who works as a nurse, and my grandchildren eat meat every day.

Mustafa notes that there are actually few slaughterers like him in Kyzylorda.

– You have to be constantly clean and sober, because almost always cattle need to be slaughtered according to the canons of Islam, – he continues. – Correctly kill the animal, divide the meat, observe perfect cleanliness during slaughter. You can not swear, spit, be impolite or slow. My work requires skill and physical strength. Wealthy families prefer, having bought a cow or a horse for a toy, to call such a day laborer than to bother themselves. They won’t be able to do it right. When I cut not a sheep, but a larger animal, I take an assistant with me. For him I stipulate a separate fee.

By the way, there is something that Mustafa is afraid of:

– I’m afraid that they will be asked to slaughter cattle obtained by unrighteous means, by theft, for example. I absolutely do not want to be involved in a bad business.

Meruert “banquetress”

– I help the hostesses to prepare for the toy, for the banquet, for meeting guests from afar, – she clarifies. – They hire me for one or two days, and I prepare salads, canapes, sandwiches, lemonades, set the table. We discuss the list of dishes and products with customers in advance, they immediately make purchases, and on the day of the holiday I work from five to six in the morning. This is my obligatory condition, on the day of the holiday, so that everything is fresh. I do not cook hot, only snacks and serving are included in my services. I’ve been doing this for four years now.

According to Meruert, the wishes of the clients have changed recently. If earlier customers asked to prepare food from expensive products, conspicuous, luxurious, now it’s the other way around – they ask to set a beautiful tasty table for a small budget.

– I cook seasonal vegetables, spring rolls, it’s fashionable lately to make salads from boiled rice, pasta cones, potatoes with dressings, boiled inexpensive fish, Meruert reveals the secrets.

Even with work experience and a Soviet background, and Meruert was a canteen cook, customers are hard to please.

“Women who don’t know how to cook themselves tend to know best how to do it,” she laughs. – Customers are capricious, even if they understand that the budget for the banquet is minimal, nowhere lower. Either they have beets without nuts, then there are no fresh cucumbers on the table. Cucumbers at two thousand tenge per kilogram, when 100 thousand were allocated for a table designed for 60 people?.. Therefore, I write down every expense so that I can give a report right before the tiyn.

But the worst clients are those who do not consider servants to be people. Often, for example, they offer me to put in bags instead of money and take home what is left of the banquet. This offends me, but I’m not hired to work for a half-eaten kuyrdak or a dozen pies. And they say to me: “Kuyrdak, in fact, in a cafe for a thousand tenge a serving! ..”

Serik palushy

– For twenty years now, as my wife puts it, “I’ve been going from house to house.” But I know that I know how to cook pilaf, even my father cooked it for toi, and this part-time job is not shameful for me, – begins palushy.

Serik, unlike Meruert, cooks only pilaf to order for big holidays. All products for the dish are chosen by himself:

– I know exactly how much meat, carrots, rice, butter is needed for a holiday, say, for a hundred people. What seasonings to put and even how much firewood will go to the fire under the cauldron. I cook only on wood, on the street, in the old fashioned way. And it will be delicious. And even though the cauldron will be ten liters, even a hundred, I take 10 thousand tenge for one pilaf, time goes the same way. So far, none of the customers have cheated on money or been offended by the taste of my pilaf. The only thing I don’t like is when people hang around with offers to drink. I don’t drink at work!

Akmaral – nanny-housekeeper

– Hell of a job. But many people who want to hire a servant, and indicate in the ads: a nanny-housekeeper is required. Not a separate nanny and a separate housekeeper. And this means that you will need to take care of a small child, cook for the owners, do the cleaning, wash the dishes, iron the clothes. And all this while living on the spot, that is, in the family that hires you, Akmaral explains. – Changed three owners in six years. The first ones put me out because I devoted more time to the child than to homework. The hostess then impolitely explained that I did not understand that the baby can be put in a besik, rocked to sleep – and do cooking and washing. In two more families, we successfully got along with the owners of the characters, and I took care of the babies until they reached the age when you can send the child to kindergarten.

There are offensive nuances in Akmaral’s profession:

– It was such that the father of one of the kids did not like how I cook, and he threw spoons, another family casually used the bathroom and toilet. I overcame disgust when I washed the bathrooms. How much do nanny housekeepers get paid? Three thousand tenge per day. This is not so little, because we live on everything ready. We eat in the master’s kitchen, sleep on other people’s sheets. I collect almost all my earnings, and the housewives often give away their worn clothes as well. I usually only buy underwear.

…Meanwhile, in the Kyzylorda region this year it is planned to create 44 thousand jobs for the population. If it succeeds, it will be a record figure for the region.

According to the head of the regional department for the coordination of employment and social programs, Gabit Zhanabaev, in 2022, more than 31,000 jobs were created in various sectors of the region’s economy. The unemployment rate ended up at 5%, youth unemployment froze at 4.1%.

For the employment of citizens with disabilities, providing them with psychological and legal assistance on the basis of the state social order, the Equal Society Center has been operating in Kyzylorda since 2021. In 2023, it is planned to open such centers in Baikonyr and in all regions.

– Within the framework of the national project for the development of entrepreneurship, it is planned to cover more than 14 thousand people with active employment measures, – added Gabit Zhanabaev. – Concessional loans at 2.5% will cover 257 unemployed young people, gratuitous grants – more than one and a half thousand citizens from socially vulnerable segments of the population. The task was set to bring the unemployment rate to 4.8%, and among young people to 3.9%.
