KinderCare at UNC Rex
Welcome to KinderCare at UNC Rex. Our experts designed our classrooms — and every activity and lesson — to help prepare your child for success in school and beyond. With designated learning centers such as dramatic play and blocks in every classroom, children have the opportunity for rich social play and child-initiated discovery.
You’ll also find that our classrooms feature a print-rich environment full of carefully selected materials, written charts and labels, and children’s literature. By helping your child connect spoken words and print, we’re helping develop early literacy and writing skills.
Whether your child has first words or first grade on the horizon, we’re excited to show you how everything in our center is designed for learning!

AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED
We’re so proud!
Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.
SCHOOL-READY
What Learning Looks Like
Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.
KinderCare at UNC Rex Programs
Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)
Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.
Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)
Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.
Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)
This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.
Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)
This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!
Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)
When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.
Our Teachers
We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH
An Artist’s Heart
“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.
We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

In the Lesnoy microdistrict in Irkutsk, a kindergarten “Lisenok” has started working.

A new kindergarten in the Lesnoy microdistrict of the city of Irkutsk has opened. The name “Little Fox” was invented for him by local residents. The mayor of the city Ruslan Bolotov visited the place to check how the children and teachers are getting used to, according to the telegram channel of the head of the city.
147 little Irkutsk citizens already go to kindergarten . The facility is equipped with everything you need. It has sports and assembly halls, a swimming pool, gaming and sports equipment, shady awnings have been installed on the territory. We paid special attention to security issues: we organized a guard post, installed outdoor video surveillance and combination locks.
Ruslan Bolotov:
— Kindergarten is a single complex with school number 33. Such a system provides continuous pedagogical support for the child. This allows you to better develop the abilities of children, maximize their potential and effectively use the opportunities of the school and kindergarten. nine0005
The construction of a kindergarten according to a standard design began in the Lesnoy microdistrict in May last year. The institution is a structural subdivision of the Lesnoy educational complex, which also includes school No. 33. The grand opening of the kindergarten, built within the framework of the national project “Demography”, took place in early October.

Kindergarten, which is located in the Surgut region, was recognized as the best in Russia | Society
In order for the child to go to the best kindergarten in the country, you need to move to the Surgut region. It is there that a preschool institution operates, which received such a status after participating in the All-Russian review competition. The garden is called “Golden Key”. It is not public, but private.
No other fairy tale prepares for adulthood as much as “Gingerbread Man”. And most importantly – there are a lot of characters, so almost everyone gets roles. Groups in the “Golden Key” are small. This is a private kindergarten in the settlement of Solnechny, Surgut district. Teacher Natalya Gladkova, for example, last year released eight children.
nine0005
Natalya Gladkova, teacher at the Golden Key kindergarten: “Due to the fact that the number of groups is not very large, as, for example, in state kindergartens, we distribute information and training more efficiently in our center. Many visitors are here, not from Solnechny. And kids come even from the city. They are coming. There is no difficulty in this. That is, they are comfortable because they want to attend our kindergarten.”
The sympathy of children and parents has now been officially confirmed by the victory in the All-Russian review competition “The Best Kindergartens – 2022”. To participate in the competition, the institution did not just provide documents. At any time, the competition committee could watch the children’s classes via video link.
nine0005
Matvey Skorko, a pupil of the Golden Key kindergarten: “Every day we first draw, and then we sculpt.”
Sofia Yanina, a pupil of the Golden Key kindergarten: “I only went on vacation, there were all sorts of sweets. – And now you go to kindergarten, and what’s interesting here? – Toys, bedroom, kitchen.
Roman Bakeev, a pupil of the Golden Key kindergarten: “And those children are playing! And I don’t have the strength. ”
In the “Golden Key” developmental activities for children are divided into several areas: physical, cognitive, speech. They also work according to the Montessori method. For this, there is a special room in the garden.
nine0005
And yet, this approach is practiced in many, including municipal, gardens. The reason why the Golden Key became the best in Russia is beyond logical explanation. The director of the institution, Malika Bashaeva, believes that the secret of her brainchild’s success is her love for work.
Malika Bashaeva, director of the Golden Key kindergarten: “Before we became a licensed private kindergarten, where we have some kind of state support, we existed for 15 years without a license, we existed on our own. We paid for ourselves, paid wages ourselves, developed ourselves, bought everything ourselves. With this love for your work, for your business, you can overcome everything. And do not think – “I will close, I will not close.” It seems to me that those who are focused on financial results think so.
