My name is Danielle and I have been caring for children for over 30 years. I have 3 children of my own who are all grown up 🙁 I absolutely love caring for thelittle ones in my daycare, I am definitely doing what God created me to do 🙂
I decided 11 years ago to have my own in home licensed daycare to give parents a much better childcare alternative for their babies/children than daycare centers. It has been extremely rewarding and I love it even more now than I did when I first started!
I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I have my Fingerprint Clearance Card and my Daycare/Preschool is licensed in the state of Arizona.
The parents of the kids in my care are my greatest referrals; they’re always telling me that I give them peace of mind, they know their kids are safe, loved and well cared for.
Although I care for different ages everyday, it is structured, consistent & eventful! We have learning time, story time, music and most days, outside time. I prepare children who are 3 yrs. of age and older for Kindergarten by following a preschool/pre-k curriculum and 3~4 days/week we do worksheets & art. My home is immaculately clean & so much fun for your little one 🙂
I show kids how to love and treat others by demonstrating God’s love to them. I stress the importance of manners, respect, kindness and love!

Thank you for your interest in Primrose School of Fletcher Heights. Owners Greg and Heather Legeza both attended the University of Cincinnati and moved to Arizona in 1997. Soon after they moved to the Peoria community, their son Derek joined the family and their daughter Kylie followed closely behind. Because of the lack of quality educational childcare in the area, Heather decided to quit her job as an elementary school teacher to stay at home with their children. Having a background in early childhood education, Heather knew what she was looking for a child care facility. After spending several days touring facilities, Heather found that the only thing that was available was basically, babysitting. Heather was looking for more, and it just was not available. After visiting a Primrose School in Cincinnati, Ohio, they knew Primrose was exactly what the Peoria community was in need of and decided to purchase a Primrose franchise. They were looking for more balance in their lives and a better quality educational opportunity for their children. Like so many parents in our community, they understand that a child’s early years are crucial elements to a well rounded early childhood education. The Legeza’s agreed that a private, preschool setting would benefit their family and the Peoria community. Primrose Schools recognize the importance of balance to parents: the need to juggle successfully work and family life and to find educational childcare that provides peace of mind. Primrose’s exclusive Balanced Learning curriculum accomplishes this with purposeful play and nurturing guidance. We are so lucky to have been doing this since 2004. Thank you for your interest in Primrose School of Fletcher Heights. We are so excited to offer a quality educational private preschool to the Peoria community. We look forward to partnering in your child’s education. Sincerely, Greg & Heather Legeza

Pedagogical principles of the institution

We see the essence of the process of preschool education in the accumulation of specific subjective experience by children, which contains the means and ways of interacting with the world, expanding creative possibilities, cognitive, emotional and activity activity.

The following key positions formed the basis of the pedagogical system of preschool educational institutions:

1. A.V.0004 , on the amplification of development, that is, its enrichment, filling it with the most significant for the child, specifically children’s forms, types and methods of activity (play, communication with adults and peers, experimentation, subject, visual, artistic and theatrical activities, child labor and self-service ).

2. The idea of a personal-activity approach (V.V. Davydov) . The personality of the child is placed at the center of the entire educational system. The principles of love, respect and faith in the potential of the child, equality and partnership in subject-subject relations in the process of joint activity are implemented.

3. Vygotsky’s idea of the “zone of proximal development” , according to which learning comes before development and is not an end in itself, but a means of a child’s development. Training should be organized in such a way as to achieve optimal development results in the shortest possible time. Pedagogical influences lead, stimulate, direct and accelerate the development of the hereditary data of the individual. Development occurs in the process of overcoming the boundary between the sphere of actual development (what the child has mastered and can do on his own) and the zone of proximal development (what the child cannot yet do on his own, but is able to cope with the help of an adult).

4. The idea of integral development of a preschooler as a subject of children’s activity (M.V. Krulekht). The holistic development of the child is the unity of individual characteristics, personal qualities, the child’s mastering the position of the subject in children’s activities.

The educational program assumes:

– taking into account age, gender, individual abilities;

– formation of a positive “I-concept”;

– preservation of the uniqueness of the individual;

– creation of favorable conditions for self-expression, maximum realization of potential opportunities.

5. The idea of systemic knowledge (N.N. Poddyakov, V.I. Loginova) . The systemic nature of ideas about the world around is provided, the disclosure of the essence of elementary concepts at the level of visual-figurative thinking and imagination. A consistent transition is being made from ideas about an object to identifying the essential characteristics of groups of objects, establishing links and dependencies between objects and phenomena, and forming ways of knowing. The result is the child’s ability to operate with acquired knowledge, independently solve cognitive problems, consciously use different methods and techniques of cognitive activity, readiness for logical cognition.

Rules for parents

Dear parents,
This is not very terrible rules, and follow them very importantly
(if you want to live in the world in the world in the world friendship)

1. In our kindergarten, everyone respects each other, so they wish health, that is, they say hello. And if you don’t want to wish health to a particular person, then you still need to be polite and at least state the time of day: good afternoon, good evening, etc.

2. In the morning the children are changed by their parents. It is necessary to come no later than 8.15, if you want to say something to the teacher, then even earlier. Classes begin at 9 o’clock, and in 10 minutes the teacher prepares for it: arranges, hangs, lays out (children perceive all knowledge visually). If you are late, quietly undress the child and escort to the group. The short nod of the teacher at this moment does not indicate his arrogance.

3. Breakfast from 8.20 to 8.50 (very quickly, as you can see), and if you are late, the baby will have to be left without porridge. At 8.50 the meal is over (as in the army). The start of the day is very important, try not to be late.

4. The child’s clothes must be appropriate for the season and such that he (and the caregiver) will “do nothing” if they get dirty. Of course, the teacher makes sure that the wards do not become like Nif-Nif with Naf-Naf, but … children are free people. The closet should have spare T-shirts, panties, tights, socks, a change of clothes in case of an accident while eating. Do not confuse a locker in kindergarten with a home closet – a large number of things get in the way.

Be sure to check the cleanliness of things, do not forget to take your sportswear to be washed, but we don’t even mention the daily change of clothes.

5. Shoes must fit. Lord! Leave slippers for home, children, of course, feel at home here, but let the shoes be “not slippers”.

6. Separate conversation – festive clothes. She must be! You need to bring it before the festive performance!

7. Parents (or persons replacing them) “hand over” the child from hand to hand to the educator. If a little man was “dropped off” yesterday with symptoms of the disease, and today you are already in the garden … then such a quick recovery worries us and we suggest going to the medical office. So plan your morning.

8. The educator determines the state of health of the child by external signs, and if something confuses him, then a dialogue with the doctor cannot be avoided. We kindly request: to be extremely correct with teachers and doctors. Understand, we have no interest in sending a child home. But if “snot” and cough don’t scare you like a mother, then another mother may have her own opinion, different from yours.

9. Children move around the kindergarten with their parents by the hand. You need to go down and up the stairs, holding on to the railing and keeping your distance. No one runs, pushes or overtakes each other – this can be dangerous.

10. You can find out from the educator the advisory hours of the teachers and, by signing up for a meeting, ask all questions about the progress of your child. General issues are discussed at parent meetings, not because there is nothing to say about everyone, but only because of ethical considerations.

11. General and group parent meetings attend not only necessarily , but also very informative. Don’t forget to change your shoes.

12. During the hours of children’s matinees, the presence of parents is obligatory. Don’t forget to turn off your mobile phone. Change of shoes and dressy clothes are a must! Well, if after the performance you do not forget to thank the child and teachers.

13. Dear parents, owners of no less expensive dogs and even more expensive vehicles (carriages, sledges, bicycles)! Entering the facility with a four-legged friend and vehicles is strictly prohibited!

14. If your child is absent from the kindergarten, you must notify the educators, the nurse or the administration of the institution before 8:00 about the reason for the absence.

15. Don’t forget to pay the fee for kindergarten and paid educational services by the 10th day of each month. In the event of an unusual situation (delayed payments, etc.), please notify the administration.

16. Dear parents, our institution is open until 19.00. That is, the teacher is responsible for the life of the child from 7 to 19 hours. Remember: by handing over the child to you, the teacher relieves himself of responsibility for him!

17. Be active parents, don’t be afraid to ask, express your opinion, recommend something, the main thing is to do it correctly. Do not be shy! Offer your help!

18. Don’t forget to pay attention to the child’s handiwork (drawings, crafts), praise the child and… the teacher.

19. Try not to participate in negative associations. That is, when an active mother (dissatisfied with everything, but persistently attending kindergarten), tries to “fix everything” and attracts you. If there is a problem, in your opinion, then you need to solve it constructively and … personally. There is no need to scare with the phrase “Let’s write where we should …” and the act “Let’s go where we should”; there will be no good from this for sure.

We hope for mutual understanding !
