AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Knightdale KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • I love this center and so do all my children. I know my children are safe and happy here when i cant be with them. The staff is amazing especially Mrs. Brenda she is a truly wonderful all the time. I was initially concerned about care for special needs son, not anymore they take GREAT care of him. When you walk in you can fell the love they have for all the children. My children have been to a few centers before but none like this one.

    Charlene M. – KinderCare Parent
  • My son started at this center in August 2013. Since he has been here, he has became an open book. His teacher, Ms. Brenda has taught him so many things and how to express himself better than ever before. I am so thankful to have Ms Brenda and the other teachers, who are a part of his learning adventures. This is the best learning center, so I would recommend anyone to bring their child here.

    Deevia – KinderCare Parent
  • We enrolled our 8 month old son in to the Knightdale Kindercare in April of 2013. Our experience with the center and the staff has been nothing but positive. The infant room is cozy, yet spacious and the infant teachers, Ms.Lina and Ms. Christen, are wonderful. They are always very welcoming and attentive to the children. The Center Director, Courtney, is fabulous! She is readily available to assist parents with questions and always has a smile on her face. Each morning, when my son enters his classroom he lights up, further reassuring me choosing the Knightdale Kindercare was a great decision for our family.

    Amy – KinderCare Parent
  • Since this is our first time being parents, the idea of dropping off our infant at daycare filled us with stress and anxiety. We feel so lucky to have the support and care of all of the staff at KinderCare Knightdale to help me through that transition. The infant teachers show such special attention to each of the babies and our daughter has already shown such positive growth in the two months she has been attending. The constant feedback we receive from the teachers and the daily notes that are sent home makes us feel well informed and a part of her day. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to enroll our daughter here!

Jenny and Ken – KinderCare Parent
  • I have been a part of the Kinder Care family since 2010. On my first visit I knew instantly this was the day care for me. I dropped off my then six month old daughter and did not have any concern about her well-being in the capable hands of the staff. My oldest is now three and her sister who is two also attends Kinder Care and has been there since she was four months old. The staff is warm, friendly, caring and nurturing. The staff loves my girls and my girls love them.

    Norlynda – KinderCare Parent
  • My son has been going to KinderCare since 2010. Since the day I dropped him off with Ms. Lina, almost four years ago, I have never had to worry about him, because I know he is in excellent hands. He is now in Ms. Brenda’s amazing Preschool class and she is out of this world. I have never met a more enthusiastic and energetic teacher and, being a teacher myself, I have met a lot! The Director, Ms. Courtney has been nothing but helpful and supportive through the years. When I’ve had questions or concerns in the past she listened and took action. I truly feel that my son is loved, adored and nurtured by all of the staff members (even the cook)!

Frequently Asked Questions

What accreditations does KinderCare have?

We are your trusted caregiver. Our centers are state-licensed and regularly inspected to make sure everything meets or exceeds standards, including child-to-teacher ratios and safe facilities. Our centers aren’t just licensed—most are accredited, too! Find out more.

Do you offer part-time schedules at Knightdale KinderCare?

Everybody’s schedule is different. We’re happy to offer quality, affordable part-time and full-time childcare. Drop-in care may also be available. Reach out to your Center Director to learn more.

How does naptime work at Knightdale KinderCare?

Our teachers meet every child’s needs during naptime. Our teachers know how to get babies to nap. In fact, they are pros at getting children of any age to nap. Visit our article on “10 Ways We Help Kids Get a Great Daycare Nap” to learn more.

Do you support alternative diets?

We strive to be as inclusive as possible. To that point, we provide a vegetarian option at mealtime, take care to not serve common allergens and can adapt menus based on your child’s food sensitivities. If your child has additional needs, we’ll work with you to figure out a plan.

Are meals included in tuition? Can I choose to send my child with lunch?

We provide nutritious meals and snacks developed by a registered dietician to meet the needs of rapidly growing bodies and minds. If your child has special dietary requirements and you would prefer to bring in their lunch, please make arrangements with the center director.

Does my child need to be potty-trained?

Every child begins toilet learning at a different age. Until your child shows an interest in toilet learning, we’ll provide diaper changes on an as-needed basis. When your child shows an interest, we’ll discuss how to work together to encourage toilet learning.

Classrooms and Learning

Step into our classrooms to see (and feel) the buzz of learning in motion! No matter how small your child is, or how big their imagination, they’ll be busy all day with age- and stage-appropriate classrooms and activities that grow their academic, physical, and social-emotional development.

Infants and Toddlers (ages 0-2)

  • Small class sizes allow your child’s teacher to nurture them all day long.
  • Classrooms are designed for little learners and early readers.
  • Group time helps even the youngest kids build social skills.

Preschoolers and Prekindergarteners (ages 2-5)

  • Our whole-child curriculum is designed to help your child grow from the inside out with a focus on social, academic, and physical skills.

  • Different learning areas around the room let kids explore budding passions through play: STEM, literacy, art, drama … and more.

  • We’ll prep your child for the next step in their learning journey: elementary school!

School-Age Kids (ages 5-12)

  • Before- and after-school, no-school days, and seasonal breaks are covered here for K-6th graders, and full-day kindergarten is available in some locations.
  • Small class sizes give your child their teachers’ full attention.
  • Project-based learning develops collaboration and communication skills.

Learning Adventures™ Enrichment Classes (ages 2-12)

  • Your child can join these optional, small group classes during their day with us to focus on a favorite topic or to help make up for lost learning time.

  • Learning Adventures take place in your center, and each topic reinforces skills children are already developing through our curriculum, so they get a boost for “big kid school” (and everything that comes after).

  • Class options include: Phonics Adventures®, Music Explorers™, Cooking Academy™, and Learning Adventures STEM Innovators™.

Social and Academic Skills

Will your child be ready for elementary school? Stick with us and the answer is: YES! We conduct annual assessments that year after year show our students—even babies—make better-than-expected developmental gains here.

  • On average, KinderCare kindergartners score nearly two months ahead of national expectations.

  • Assessments give you (and our teachers) insight into how your child is doing in all areas of their development, from language and math to gross- and fine-motor skill, in addition to social-emotional skills.

What regulates the working hours of the kindergarten?

Good afternoon! My girls (twins) went to kindergarten. Everything would be great, but at the conclusion of the contract, in the mode of stay, the pupils of the preschool educational institution indicated the time from 7. 30 to 18 hours. My working day is from 8 to 17, it takes 40-50 minutes to get to work by bus. whether there is a violation in the mode of operation of the d / garden. The garden is like a municipal budgetary preschool educational institution.

Hello, Oksana.

Unfortunately, the legislator did not restrict educational institutions and their founders (the municipality represented by the Administration) in choosing the operating mode of the kindergarten.

It is obvious that such a schedule does not meet the tasks of the kindergarten for the supervision and care of children while their parents are at work.

You can apply in writing with an individual or collective appeal to the Administration of your municipality with a request to change the working hours of the preschool educational institution.

You also have the right to file a complaint with the regional education authority about this situation.

I worked as a teacher in a kindergarten until Decter, now I sent my child to kindergarten and I plan to go to work in 2 weeks, at the moment the child is not 2 years old, it turned out that in May the work is at the school, a new kindergarten was built and all the employees of my d.s went to work in another new kindergarten, where I work, the garden has not been closed yet, there is one group where the rate is kept behind me, but at the end of the school year, more precisely, at the end of May, they will close the group and I am left without work, I went to the new kindergarten for the second time so that to find out about the job, they say that it’s unnecessary to write an application, that they will have me in mind, but they themselves take the educator, now again I went to the educator’s rates, only the nanny’s rate and again they don’t take the application, the education department knows that I want to go to work and are inactive that I will stay without a job, what should I do in such a situation???
