Day Care Centers Site

More and more in today’s world both parents have employment and need suitable day care centers for their children. These early stages in a child’s life are very important to their growth and development. Choosing a good child day care center is vital, one where the adult won’t just plunk your children down in front of a soap opera all day and feed them Top Ramen. You should look for day care centers that provide learning programs and playtime for your child, along with a safe and healthy environment.

There are many different types of day care centers, ranging from basic nurseries to preschools that will provide more of a learning environment for your children. Some day care centers specialize in a specific age range, while others are more open. When you’re contemplating placing your child in a specific day care center, you should visit each one with your child. In this way, you can see how your child reacts to the other children who are there and to the caregiver. You want your child to be happy and comfortable.

While some day care centers provide a greater variety of activities than others, any good day care center is going to encourage positive interaction among all of the children. They will also have rules that promote good behavior, learning, manners, and child development. You certainly don’t want to have to worry that your child is going to develop bad habits from day care.

Providing the child care and day care services:Day Care Center / Nursery, Child Care Provider

While you don’t need to go overboard in choosing suitable day care centers, you should approach the subject seriously and with thought. Your child is going to be spending a good-sized portion of his or her life in day cares and you want to make sure it is going to be a positive experience. Family is the most important thing in the world and you should make sure that your children are your first priority.
When you are considering a day care center, you should look at where it is located and how much it costs. There’s not much sense in putting your son or daughter in daycare so that you can work full time and spending most of what you earn on the day care center’s tuitions and your travel expenses. If that’s the case, you might as well stay home with your child. However, if you do truly need the money, there are usually plenty of day care services available and it shouldn’t be too difficult to find one close by that is reasonably priced.

Different Kinds of Child day Care Centers

While child day care centers are common, there is such a huge demand for this service that there are now quite a variety of options available other than basic day care. These include the following:

  • Home child care or family childcare
  • Child care services
  • Preschool
  • Nursery

Home child care tends to be the most popular option because it is generally more affordable and a smaller environment. While some day care centers are quite large and can provide better early childhood education, it is also more difficult for each child to receive personal attention. Day care centers that are based out of someone’s home are usually more personal and your child can receive more care and nurturing. Most parents want their children to be receiving love and affection, the care that they themselves would give them. They don’t want a day care business that is merely going to make sure that their child is still alive and adequately healthy.

Home child care providers are also more adaptable, generally speaking. This means that if your child likes a certain song sung to them before they take their nap each day, the home care provider is more likely to be willing to do that than someone in a larger day care facility. Most adult home child care providers are parents themselves, making them better able to understand and love your child.

Other Things to Think About

One of the first steps you should take after picking out a family day care center that you think will be suitable for your child is do a little investigating. This can involve talking to the parents of the other children that use the child day care center to see what they think about it. You should also always check to make sure the child care service you are considering is legally licensed to operate in your state. Licensing officials check criminal records and ensure that the child care provider has emergency response training and a safe and healthy environment for the children.
As mentioned earlier, it is a good idea to visit the child day care center that you are considering. You should do this at least a couple of times, and try to go at different times of the day so that you can get a better idea of what kind of schedule they have. This will help you to see how your own child would fit in.
If you are having difficulties finding the appropriate child care environment for your son or daughter, there are some other options. Some people get family and friends to help out, while others hire a nanny. Adult nannies are a good option because they ensure that your child receives personal attention and quality child care. However, this also means that your child will not receive as much social interaction since he or she won’t have other children to play with like in a family day care center.

No matter what option you decide to go with, make sure that you know who you are leaving your child with.  Meet them, get to know them, and let your child do the same. Do some research on the internet to make sure that no one has had negative experiences with the day care center you are considering. Check to make sure that they are legally licensed. Once you have done all of this, you can feel more confident and secure in knowing that you have chosen the right day care center for your child.

Switching Day Care Centers

Choosing Another Child Care Provider

So you want to switch day care providers for your kids but you don’t know where to start or what to choose among the plethora of options out there in this world. It is fittingly one of the most important decisions of a young parent’s journey due to the fact that a child’s first formative years up until the age of six is critical. It is important for parents to not just consider the monetary impact of these choices but also the emotional, intellectual, and social future impacts the choice of a day care provider will have on their kids in the long term future. So let’s discuss some general tips to consider for the parent and the child to consider when one is looking to switch day care providers within a short time frame.

First, you must consider the cost of attending some of the more prestigious and rigorous day care provider centers in your area. In some areas, let’s face the reality that the more money per month per child spent; the better the facilities and the educational value experience offered for your child. Things such as using smart boards and I Pad’s to enhance the learning experience is a very real possibility in these places. However, if a parent is budget conscious they can still afford this experience but it would mean cutting back on all or most non-necessity spending. This would include curbing your eating out habits as well as any leisure entertainment or travel activity and place that money instead into your child’s future day care home. If an expensive day care sees that you are making an effort to keep up with the payments; then they will be more willing to work with you and not let your child leave that place. For a child going to this environment, they need to consider whether or not they will fit into this environment, things like playtime, feeding time, and individual care of the staff- is it received well by the child? These will make the difference between choosing these ones or a cheaper alternative. Cheaper is not all bad if the quality and availability of care is there for your child in the first place.

Secondly, you need to consider your travel times and distance of day care relative to your work and other important places like the hospital, grocery store, bank, and places that you frequent on a daily basis. Is it near enough that you can get to your child should he/she become ill or need special attention so that the day care center can contact you and arrange a meeting with you the same day if needed.

Furthermore, you need to consider the overall cleanliness and friendliness of the day care center provider. Do not underestimate a clean environment for your kid to play and learn in with other kids. Your kid will enjoy making new friends in a clean and safe environment. Plus you as a parent will enjoy the peace of mind of knowing that your child will not be being home any unwanted germs and diseases into your house. Parents must also consider if there is a dispute over payment and care; how does the management and staff deal with such requests? If there is a lackadaisical approach to your core issues; then that is a bad prelude of things to come concerning your child’s care. Your child will probably feel like he/she is being neglected or not fed on time and will start to complain to you ever so slightly that something is not right. When they do, do not hesitate to take them out of that day care center and find another one immediately.

In a recessionary economy, it is okay and permissible for both parents and kids to demand the best care for their dollar. Make your day care dollar stretch by reading all of the material and brochures and visiting every day center on your list until you find that perfect fit for your child. It’s out there; it is just waiting on you to find it!

Child Care Options for Low Income Families

One of the most frustrating aspects of being a working citizen is not having the ability to afford childcare. The majority of day care facilities charge as much as $300 per week for each child. That amount is difficult for middle-class citizens to pay. Low-income families cannot fathom paying such an expense. Luckily, the government and the various states have developed programs that help low-income families get the childcare they deserve. The following is some information on those programs:

Extended Day Program

The extended day program can assist low-income working parents during the regular school year. Many school districts offer this program. The school keeps children before and after school hours for a small monthly fee. A parent can drop a child off as early as 7:00 a.m. and pick the child up as late as 6:00 p.m. This program is excellent for low-income workers with daytime weekday jobs. The cost is approximately $150 per month for before and after school. The weekly rate is approximately $37.50, which is extremely competitive.

The attendants participate in various activities with the children before and after school. They help the children with their homework so that the parents have less stress when they come home from work. They give the children a full breakfast in the morning program and a snack in the evening program. Parents can opt to pay for the morning program only, the evening program only, or both programs. The evening program is the more expensive of the two because it lasts so many hours after the school releases the children. The evening program is $100 while the morning program is $52.

The Child Care Assistance Program

CCAP is a special program that provides childcare assistance to certain low-income families. People who are collecting TANF are automatically eligible to receive this assistance. Teenage parents who are working on obtaining their educations are also eligible for CCAP. Those who are not collecting TANF can still qualify if they are pursuing education that will improve their work skills and job opportunities. Parents can apply for CCAP assistance with the Department of Children & Family Services. The financial guidelines for qualification are along the lines of a $3,000 per month income threshold for a four-person family. The applicant must have proof of income, social security cards, birth certificates, and immunization records for all children. Application processing can take up to 30 days.

Head Start

Head start is a program for children between the ages of three and five. The program provides childcare services and medical services to the children who qualify. It is funded by the Administration of Children’s Services. The Head Start program covers childcare from 7 a. m. to 5 p.m. Teachers work with the children to fine-tune their social and developmental skills. Those who are interested in the program may apply online. Applicants go on a waitlist until there is an available slot in the program. It is best for an interested person to complete an application as quickly as possible since the wait may be extended.

Child Care Voucher Program

The Child Care Voucher Program is in effect in many states throughout the United States. It provides a subsidy of up to 95 percent of childcare cost to low-income families. Subsidy recipients will choose an eligible provider from the list of licensed providers. They may also select a relative or an in-home provider. The Child Care Voucher Program covers the childcare from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday. This is known as the traditional childcare period. However, the program also covers non-traditional times for parents who work odd shifts. It covers nights, weekends, and evenings.

A wide variety of options is available for low-income childcare. Many stay-at-home moms also run small day care businesses in which they discount their services. There is a way to make working and taking care of your children affordable.

90,000 Trees will be 100 years old and each will take its place. The specialist answers readers’ questions about the forest. Part 2

  • Section: Scaffolding
  • Authors: Bagna
  • Date: 04/11/2019, 02:05

To grow an oak forest, a person needs to clean the planting from bushes twice a year. But at the same time, trees do not heal in the forest, only in cities. We collected questions in social networks and asked experts to answer. The second part is commented by Maxim Ermokhin, a scientist and FSC representative at the same time. The first part can be read here.

Maxim Ermokhin — coordinator of the working group on the development of FSC standards in Belarus and Ph.D. He is also a leading researcher at the Institute of Experimental Botany of the National Academy of Sciences.

FSC is an international non-profit organization, according to which almost all forests in Belarus are certified. And the Institute of Experimental Botany is part of the National Academy of Sciences, where scientists study plants.

If Belovezhskaya Pushcha were cleaned, it would be a park

How important is it to clean dry trees, etc.? for the forest?

Under no circumstances should the natural forest be harvested. Dry trees, stumps, fallen trees are an essential attribute of forest ecosystems. Insects, fungi, microorganisms, birds live in them. Moreover, they all need different wood: some fresh, and some covered with moss. Cleaning is justified only in recreational forests, where it is necessary to reduce the danger to walkers, or in the event of mass death of trees as a result of windfalls, windbreaks, diseases and similar reasons .

Is it true that protected forests are too cluttered with old trees?

Protected areas (Specially Protected Natural Areas) actually have more dead wood than intensively forested forests. But if Belovezhskaya Pushcha were cleaned with a rake, it would be a park, not a forest.

A large amount of deadwood accumulates in the forest for 40-60 years, when there is a massive natural loss of trees due to their competition with each other.

The problem of protected areas is that the forests are mostly medium-aged – after all, after the war, our forest cover was 20%, and now it is almost 40%.

But when the trees are over a hundred years old, each of them will take its place by that time and they will rarely fall. This stage must be passed, you can’t get away from the natural dynamics.

spruce grows only to Polesie, and grab forests – in the south

Dapamazhytsi INFARMASIY PROLAZVART VIDAA at the forest: strap on the Pazharyshchi Pales Sasna, sweaty parks І ireshitsy, skeeters. Why not the right geta, the right old lyas, the right dubrov and other cicada lyas in Belarus?

Try to read the book “Eastern European broad-leaved forests” under the general editorship of Smirnova, 1994. This is a very good overview of forest formation. This book is scientific, but the first part is very accessible.

I can also offer my own text “Where did the Belarusian oak forests disappear?”, It was published in the journal “Ptushki i us” in 2011, number 18.

Oak and hornbeam forest in the floodplain of the Pripyat River forest herbaceous plants? And how does vegetation change depending on the region of Belarus? What species are found strictly in certain areas?

Whole books can be written here. Read, for example, the book “Flora of Belarus”. After all, we have a lot of species that are distributed by habitats, including among trees.

Spruce forests are widely found in the central and northern parts of Belarus, and in Polesie only in small areas along rivers and swamps. Alder gray – in northern Belarus (up to the Minsk Upland), hornbeam forests – in southern and central Belarus. Among herbaceous plants, there is even greater diversity.

Plastic, cans – they are still lying

Is it possible to completely stop forest pollution (by people, industry) in Belarus? How can citizens contribute to this?

In any country, industrial pollution can be stopped, although there will still be transboundary transfer (from neighboring countries – ed. ). I most often meet household and construction waste in the forests, especially around cities and suburban areas.

I think that the problem can be solved in several ways. The first is education and enlightenment, and the target audience should be children, with adults, unfortunately, it is almost useless to talk. Plus, there should be periodic actions for cleaning the forest and paying for the delivered garbage. And fines exist anyway, so I see no point in additional punitive measures.

It is important to start with yourself. Our country is not so big, and the road network is developed, so people should not leave anything in the forest: neither burnt tin cans, nor egg shells. Yes, it can be considered as a fertilizer, and sooner or later calcium will be involved in the cycle of substances. But will it be pleasant for you to relax in nature among it?

On the other hand, I go hiking and I can say that in the last 20 years the forests have become cleaner. The leshozes removed a lot, but in some places the old garbage remained: plastic, iron cans – they still lie.

Linden is not considered a valuable species

How are tree species selected for forest planting?

The type or types of trees are selected depending on the type of soil.

How are the cones selected for growing trees?

Cones are harvested at the final felling – when mature forest is cut. Then the seeds are stored in the breeding and seed-growing center of the Ministry of Forestry, planted in a nursery, and a forest is created from two-year-old seedlings.

Why do not plant walnut, oak, linden, etc. groves?

If we plant a walnut, it will be a garden, because walnut trees do not grow naturally in Belarus. Manchurian or walnuts are introduced species, and hazel is not a tree, but a shrub.

Most likely, the question is why broad-leaved forests are not grown, because a grove is any forest. Oak, linden, maple crops create little because they are difficult to grow.

For example, a planted oak needs multiple care. During the first 10-15 years of life, the oak forest must be mowed several times a year from grass, and then from bushes that quickly appear on rich soils.

Naturally, an oak forest appears only after a few hundred years due to the fact that the oak grows for a long time and outlasts all other species.

If oak forests among the rest we have 3.5%, then maple and linden – fractions of a percent. They are rarely planted alone, usually mixed with other breeds.

A field can be turned into a forest

What are the chances of transferring the land from the status of “field” to the status of “forest”? Loevsky district, poor land, lots of fertilizers, high level of nitrates in the well.

The field is not harvested on time, hay bales have been scattered since autumn. Groundwater from the fields flows through us down to the Dnieper. And we love trees and want a forest instead of all that.

We were told that only the president can turn a field into a forest. Is it so? And is it necessary to go through all the circles of hellish paperwork for this?

It’s not even about converting a field into a forest, but about converting non-forest lands into forest fund lands. In principle, this is all decided at the level of the district executive committee. In some cases, the decision can be made by the regional executive committee, the Council of Ministers or even the President.

Transfer of land occurs almost annually: land not used in agriculture, as a rule, is transferred to the forest fund. It is also possible within the framework of forest management (it takes place once every 10 years).

You have a chance, but start with a detailed letter. It must be sent to the authorities, starting with the district executive committee, then to the regional executive committee. Do I need to go through all the circles of red tape? Yes.

How to dry ash maple?

How are the active decay of the ash-leaved maple in our trees? Tsyagam 30-40 vile utensils sappraudny abshar, stogogod yashche is big.

With new athozhilkam we grow (carve out), but this is not effective, more with long-growth trees and for acty samosas, for the months of weeded pyankov utensils weed bushes.

Abshar getaga invasive maple vytsskaya willow and willow. Vykarystne chemical rechyvaў non-magchyma – geta catching a part of the wreck.

Ash-leaved maple is a serious invasive species that has good coppice ability. First of all, it is necessary to fight with seed trees that are already bearing fruit (over 6-10 years old).

There is a good method – they remove the bark from a tree at a height of 0.5-1 meter in a ring 5 centimeters wide. This is necessary so that the tree dries slowly and does not give growth. In a year it will be cut down. But this must first be agreed with the forestry and natural resources inspectorate, in writing.

If there are many trees, then mechanized means can be used – when the tree is cut down and the stump is milled, turning it into chips a few centimeters below the soil level. This is more expensive, but the tree can be removed in one step.

Non-native trees are best planted in nutrient soil

What kind of soil is best to plant cedar? I gutted a pine cone, soaked the nuts, discarded those that surfaced, then kept them in the cold all winter. And here is spring. What kind of soil should I prepare for planting? Special for needles or from the forest to bring? To look like a taiga.

Most likely, we are talking about the Siberian cedar pine, and this is not a native species for us.

If you want to plant it in your area, then buy special soil for coniferous plants and place the seedling in a hole about 20 centimeters deep and wide. The plant will have the opportunity to grow, and the likelihood of its survival will be higher.

Can soil be brought from the forest? You can (although there is a penalty for this). But the forest soil from our forests is not native to this breed, its microflora is different.

How can you prove that plants and animals from the Red Book grow in a certain region? Just take a photo? And take geographic coordinates?

Take a photo and invite a specialist. It’s hard to say which photo, because each species has its own characteristics: something is different in a flower, something in a stem or leaves, etc. Therefore, it is best to take many photos of different parts of the plant with high quality.

Then you can apply to the Inspectorate for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, and officially. That is, do not come and say, but write a letter and send it by mail. Or bring it to be assigned an incoming number. And you have to answer.

It is better to send the same letter to the leshoz (if the plant was found in the forest), so that they know that a protected species may have been identified.

Ramson, which is often sold in the spring, is also a species from the Red Book © LoggaWiggler & Pixabay.com

Sphagnum is a good antiseptic. If it is in the swamp, then we make a hole, smooth it out with sphagnum and wait for the water to accumulate. But in no case should you drink water from streams where there are beavers. Although I myself have never drunk it like that, the most optimal thing is to boil water.

Will we regain the floodplain of the Ditva River?

I suppose that we are talking about peat extraction, but whether it will be possible to win back – I do not know.

If the roots are cut, the tree will fall

What are the signs that a tree is sick and needs help?

The very first sign is the state of the crown. If the foliage or needles are thick and green, everything is fine. If it is pale or yellowed, rarely located along the crown, nutrition is disturbed. And the bark does not say anything, unless there is mechanical damage.

But, unfortunately, no one will treat a tree in the forest, only in a city or a park.

How critical is it for a tree if they dig nearby?

Very critical. Although if the tree is in good condition, then it will survive and the changes will be visible only by annual rings.

The problem is that with such pruning of the roots, the danger of accidents increases sharply. After all, the root system acts like a base plate – the higher the tree, the larger and deeper it is. We cut off a part – the tree becomes unstable and will recover only after 5-10 years. If you have time: it often happens that after laying the cable all the trees fall in one direction from the wind, especially in the city. To avoid this, work must be carried out outside the projection of the crown.

It is not forestry that cuts down trees along the roads

How many years does Belarusian forestry and lespramgasy celebrate in Belarusian forests?

Belarusian forestries will not destroy the Belarusian forest. They cut it down, but they also restore it, and our forest area has been constantly growing since the late 1940s.

At the same time ix 39.5% terrytory?

Statistical records are not kept very well. There are lands covered with trees and shrubs that used to belong to collective farms or are located on reserve lands. If you add them, then the forest cover will be about 43.7%.

By the way, the most wooded areas are Rossonsky (74%), Narovlyansky, Lelchitsky, Krasnopolsky. The least wooded are Nesvizh (about 13%), Mstislav and Zelvinsky. In the 1930s, the Kamenets region was the least wooded (8%). The most forested then – Zhitkovichi (58%).

And only in six districts the forest cover became less than in the 1930s: in Lyubansky, Soligorsky, Luninets, Drogichinsky, Kletsk, Zelvinsky. It decreased by 5-10%.

Qi pratsyagnyutsya vysyakats pripadarnye scaffolding? Kali so, then s yakіh jumps?

If we are talking about rows of trees along the road – a row or two rows of birches, poplars, fir trees – then these are the so-called protective plantations. They were planted throughout the USSR so that the roads would not be covered with snow and to protect the fields from wind and water erosion.

Now these strips most often do not belong to leshozes. Either road services or agricultural enterprises are engaged in them. And they also make decisions about whether to cut down or not. This problem has been raised many times, but so far it is poorly solved.

More forests due to agricultural and reserve lands

Why is the harvesting plan based on the previous annual plan (increasing), and not on the actual increase?

When calculating the volume of harvesting, they do not rely on the previous plan, but on the estimated cutting area. The plans brought by the Ministry of Forestry also remain within the allowable cutting area.

In 2018, Belgazeta published information about the decline in forest productivity and wood growth (see Bellesgazeta). What is it connected with?

It is not clear which publication is being referred to here.

Due to what, what categories of land, forested land in Belarus increased?

At the expense of agricultural and reserve lands, which were transferred to the forest fund. They are constantly translated – the forest cover has been growing since the 1940s. It happens that agricultural land is inconvenient, where it is unprofitable to drive equipment, or there are poor soils on the site. They are gradually growing.

Why is the productivity of the Belarusian forest several times lower than in Scandinavia, while the growing conditions in Belarus are better?

Unclear source of productivity data. To compare it, it is necessary to study plantings of the same breed, age and in the same climatic conditions. After all, even beech forests grow in the south of the Scandinavian Peninsula. It is much warmer there, and there is no beech in Belarus. And again, statistics often compare incomparable data. In our country, the increase is calculated minus the loss (trees that did not survive as a result of competition – ed. ), but somewhere it is not subtracted. But this is often not understood.

“I also want our trees to be thicker”

Why did I see thick tree trunks only in Belovezhskaya Pushcha and in some reserves? And everything is like a match. They saw them like that…

Pine forests are all thin, in rare cases I met trees thicker than myself. But once they made boats from a single trunk. They sawed on wide boards … These will only go for pencils. I heard that in Belovezhskaya Pushcha during the war, all the fat ones were cut down by the Germans and taken away. Maybe so in all the forests?

Thick and old trees are not necessarily the same thing. The largest concentration of thick trees we really have in Belovezhskaya Pushcha. Old ones – in Belovezhskaya Pushcha and the Berezinsky Reserve (but the soil there is poorer).

Pine can reach the age of 400 years, but its diameter in a swamp will be 25 centimeters, and in a rich upland forest – about a meter.

In addition, we go to the part of the forest where it is easier to get to. And old trees are most often preserved in swampy and hard-to-reach areas that could not be cut down. And the rest of the trees were cut down not only by the Germans: the trees are cut down because it is a resource and because forestry is carried out in the forests.

I also want more old trees and forests.
