AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Indian Harbour KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)

You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

Spanish

Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with
the Spanish language. Music, games, children’s Spanish literature, and other tools give
children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language to develop
vocabulary and conversation skills. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers,
colors, animals, family, body parts, and pets, as well as how to engage conversationally
during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo.

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • My son has been enrolled in the Indian Harbor Beach KinderCare since he was an eight-month-old infant. When I made the decision to go back to work, I was anxious to find a safe, warm, loving place in which to place him. He is now getting ready to “graduate” from the Voluntary Prekindergarten program, after being part of the school for five years. As a teacher myself, I immediately recognized the quality of the administration and staff in this facility. I have always known my child was in good hands and that his caretakers were always giving him opportunities to learn and grow in a safe, enriching place. He is more than ready to enter Kindergarten and has learned to love school. I would highly recommend this child care facility to any parent.

Kindergarten in India – Goa (Kindergarten Review) – Kindergarten and child

Winter in the north is not the best time and place for a happy childhood. It is better to grow in warmth by the sea and with bananas. That is why every year in India, in the state of Goa, the number of preschool children who come from Russia for the winter is growing.

If there are children, then there should be a kindergarten, especially since India encourages creative activities. Thus, children’s clubs, classes, gardens and courses are opened by parents in Goa. One of these was Kindergarten in Morjim called SOLAR CIRCLE . Now this institution is closed (photo report and some information is below).

In the season 2011/2012 at the center Free Flow Yoga classes for kids from 2.5 to 3.5 years old were opened. “Rucheyog” (the name of the activity) is located between the village of Mandrem and the city of Arambol. A professional teacher-psychologist spends time with children, the methods of Montesori, Zaitsev, Nikitin are used. Come to RucheYog on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, classes start at 11.30.

In December 2012 kindergarten was opened in Arambol “Zernyshko” . Gardening education is based on Waldorf pedagogy and the ideas of Françoise Dolto. Meals in the kindergarten are two meals a day, vegetarian. On the territory there is a bamboo playground, a children’s chill-out, a garden, an adult chill-out, a workshop.

In Morjim (season 2012\2013) a new kindergarten was opened according to the system M. Montessori – “Sun School”. Kindergarten organizers describe their space this way: — Our school was created by loving parents so that children have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a wonderful, lovingly prepared Montessori environment, where amazing opportunities for learning about the world will be opened before the baby in a form that ideally matches his natural needs in accordance with the methodology proposed Maria Montessori.

While working on the Montessori methodology, children acquire important and necessary skills, they learn:
• work individually and in a group;
• be yourself without forcing yourself to be “perfect”;
• have self-respect;
• independently move towards the goal, make decisions, organize your time, make choices and be responsible for the result;
• meet and accept failures and learn from them;
• forgive and accept forgiveness;
• enjoy life;
• love real, far from perfect people;
• strive for learning and learning.

Kindergarten in Goa “Sun School” is open from 10.00 to 16.00. Two meals a day vegetarian. Equipped territory, swimming pool, sports town. Russian staff, professional teachers. Full information about this kindergarten, as well as contacts, you can find on the page – http://www.facebook.com/groups/sunschoolgoa/

Another children’s organization opened in Mandrome (Goa) – Goa Kids Kindergarten . In an open equipped space, children gather under the guidance of young teachers. It organizes creative classes, cartoons, holidays and other events. “Goa Kids” is not only a kindergarten, but also various activities for adults, lectures and dances.

All season 2012-2013 children’s club Coco Villa in Arambol worked (November 14th to April 1st). It includes a kindergarten and a school. At school, we had both preparatory students and students up to the 9th grade. Our differences are professional teachers and educators (4 educators in kindergarten, and 6 teachers), a cook prepares a children’s menu (2 meals a day), a safe yard with a green lawn, every day children swim in the sea under the supervision of 4 educators. We will continue to collect information on kindergartens in India (Goa), as well as on any establishments and clubs that provide leisure activities for children.

Photo report from a kindergarten in India, Goa – “Solar circle”0001 Photo: Umang Shah / Archdaily.com

It cannot be said that we do not build new kindergartens and schools at all – they are being built, but little attention is usually paid to appearance, and architecture in general. Almost all modern kindergartens and schools look wretched and of the same type: a concrete box of 2-4 floors, often it is also painted in gaudy colors, sheathed with some kind of siding, there is cheap plastic on the facade. Brrr! At the same time, children spend a significant part of their time there. Is it any wonder then that they, looking at this squalor with their pure eyes, think that this is normal architecture?

But sometimes you can find really unusual, pleasant and beautiful buildings for children. Today I want to show you a very cool kindergarten in India.

Sangam Kindergarten, Bhilwara, India.
Architects: SferaBlu Architects Design Team: Naman Shah, Dhruven Wadhwana, Tarjani Parikh, Ninad Deol, Binal Shah.

A long time ago, education took place in the open air, under the trees, and this idea inspired the architects to design a building where children could connect more closely with nature.

Photo: Umang Shah / Archdaily.com

The kindergarten is located in the city of Bhilwara, Rajasthan, and is designed for children from three to seven years old. That is, to call it a kindergarten in our understanding, perhaps, is not entirely correct, rather, it is something in between a kindergarten and an elementary school, where children learn to read and count.

The shape of the building was inspired by a triangular piece of cheese with tiny holes in the sides. Similarly, a large number of windows were made here on all sides to maintain a visual connection with the environment.

Photo: Umang Shah / Archdaily.com

Next to the main entrance is an open area for outdoor activities.

Photo: Umang Shah / Archdaily.com

There is also a children’s public space with walkways and slides on the roof. In our country, the roofs, as a rule, are locked even in houses, to say nothing about schools and kindergartens.

Photo: Umang Shah / Archdaily.com

Since the height of the building is uneven, there are several slopes. On the first one there are two huge slides, on the second one there are obstacle courses, and on the third one, where there is enough sunlight, they made small gardens for each class where they can grow flowers or vegetables, which should help create a special connection between children and nature.

Photo: Umang Shah / Archdaily.com

At the very top there is an outdoor playground where children can play with views of the city. But the deaf concrete fence enclosing the territory is horror.

Photo: Umang Shah / Archdaily.com

There are three floors in total, but due to the large number of windows and the original shape, the building looks very unusual.

Photo: Umang Shah / Archdaily.com

There are two small courtyards, which allow natural light to seep into the interior, which also reduces heat gain and ensures efficient air exchange, which is extremely important in such a hot region.

Photo: Umang Shah / Archdaily.com

Inside, the kindergarten remains cool and well lit.

Photo: Umang Shah / Archdaily.com Photo: Umang Shah / Archdaily.com

Total area 2612 sq.m. The designers sought to create a place for children where the indoor space, together with the environment, would be conducive to learning.

Photo: Umang Shah / Archdaily.com

The group rooms are completely different, there are no ordinary rectangular rooms. Multi-purpose spaces have been created for different games and learning. The idea was that the children themselves wanted to come here!

It is worth noting that this is quite a budget project. Equipment and finishes are not too expensive, our cities can afford similar buildings, the only question is whether we are ready to engage in preliminary design. Naturally, it is much easier to take an old Soviet project off the shelf and build on it, but still, one should not forget that such institutions are being built for children, and not for one year or two.
