A Letter from the Head of School
Thank you for your interest in Guidepost Montessori at Branchburg. After working in public education for 18 years, I discovered that the methods and philosophies of Montessori are aligned with my own personal and professional beliefs as an educator. I live in Branchburg with my family, and it is very important to me to create a “home away from home” for children in our community. At our school, we care for the children as if they are our own, and strive to meet individual families’ needs.
I know firsthand how important it is to start kids off on the right foot by encouraging their sense of agency and instilling in them a love of learning. Starting from nursery-aged infants of just six weeks to preschool and kindergarten children, each age offers its own unique set of developmental milestones which the Montessori method addresses.
Infants get opportunities to work on their gross motor skills, while older children start exploring materials designed to help them learn to read, write, and do math problems – frequently before the age of four! All of this learning goes on in what we call the “prepared environment:” a space that is clean, bright, calm, and warm, where children truly thrive and with our guides (teachers) ready to give a helping hand.
Montessori education is for more than just preschool-aged children: kindergarten and elementary school aged kids also benefit from our methodology, and our Children’s House provides amazing benefits for learning. Learn more about the difference between Children’s House and elementary school education here.
The best way to understand just how different we are from other nurseries, daycares, preschools, and kindergartens in and around Branchburg is to tour our school and see for yourself. I hope to see you soon!

“My daughter is loved and nurtured here”
My daughter has been here for a few months and the kindness and consideration the staff have shown is remarkable. They are willing to work with each family to make all children successful. Both administration and classroom staff have gone above and beyond to collaborate with my daughter’s speech and physical therapist and embrace her where she is while continuing to promote ongoing growth. I can tell my daughter is loved and nurtured here, which is such a great feeling as a working parent. She is just where she needs to be.She also asks for “backpack” to go to school all the time! – Kelly E., Guidepost Montessori Branchburg Parent
“My children look forward to school”
“I have 2 children that started at Guidepost in September and it has been a wonderful experience! We were all nervous as it was their first time going to school but Ms. Heather, Ms. Coley, and the entire team made us feel so welcome from day 1. My children love their guides and look forward to school each morning. The classrooms are clean and chock full of educational Montessori materials. There are plenty of fun, educational activities to keep them engaged and growing. The school also hosts many fun family and parent events. We are so thrilled to be part of the Guidepost family!” – Christina F., Guidepost Montessori at Branchburg Parent.
“The best decision we have made”
“My son loves this school so much he never wants to leave. The school itself is beautiful, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. The staff is exceptionally patient, kind, and understanding. My son has been attending from the day they opened and has grown so much in that short time. Overall, if you’re looking for a clean, immersive, inclusive Montessori school for your child, I cannot recommend Guidepost Branchburg enough!” – Samantha D., Guidepost Montessori at Branchburg Parent.
