AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Baseline KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community.  Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Kindergarten Programs (5–6 Years)

Welcome to kindergarten: the gateway to grade school and everything that
comes next! Offered in select centers, our kindergarten programs have small
class sizes and curriculums that mix learning and fun. The basic building
blocks of reading, writing, math, and science are key in kindergarten, so we
make sure they get lots of practice in all of these areas.

Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)

You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

Spanish

Spanish Adventures provides young learners with a foundation for later success with
the Spanish language. Music, games, children’s Spanish literature, and other tools give
children multiple opportunities to hear, practice, and see Spanish language to develop
vocabulary and conversation skills. Curriculum includes lessons on greetings, numbers,
colors, animals, family, body parts, and pets, as well as how to engage conversationally
during common scenarios at home, a restaurant, or at the zoo.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • Both my children started KinderCare at the age of five months. The oldest is now 32 months and my youngest is ten months old. We still LOVE it! The teachers there are so loving and caring. I would highly recommend this KinderCare to anyone. The Center Director and Assistant Director are very dynamic. They know all the children very well and pop into every room. I appreciate that they always handle all situations with a smile on their face. Every child feels like they are cared for. The Infant teacher has been there for over eight years and attends to each child like they were her own. We have seen new teachers come in, just as adoring and dedicated, which is a testament to the Director’s hiring skills. My oldest knows all her letters and can count to 20! They have taught my girls so many things. As an elementary classroom teacher, I know a great learning environment when I see one.

    Molly N. – KinderCare Parent
  • Thanks to the Baseline Kindercare staff for the excellent care they provide. We have always felt our child is safe and well cared for, but most of all we appreciate that our child always feels welcomed, valued and loved. The Director and Assistant Director are always available for questions and also just to let us know whats going on day to day. The activities provided by the teachers are stimulating and educational as well as allowing the children to play and develop alongside their peers. Our families love receiving daily photos of whats going on in class each day. We have also seen how hard all the staff is working to implement new procedures like health checks and extra cleaning to help make sure our kids stay healthy and are able to continue attending daycare. We can’t say enough how much we value and trust the teachers and how much our child thrives under the care and education he receives.

    Meredith K. – KinderCare Parent
  • Our daughter has been at Baseline Kindercare since she was 6 months old. The teachers are so caring, and it has been great to see our daughter grow from an infant to a toddler and beyond in their care. Even as an infant, they would do small activities with the kids, and now that my daughter is in discovery preschool, the curriculum is really fun for her and for us. During the pandemic, our center had to close early on, but when they reopened, they had all the precautions in place that keep the kids safe and help me feel confident in placing my daughter under their care. The teachers have been great about posting photos in the app to keep us in the loop about what the kids are doing, especially since we cannot go into the center currently. Elidia and Priscilla, the center directors, are great at communicating with us during drop-off and pick-up.

About the Provider

Description: The Baseline KinderCare has been serving families in the Hillsboro and Beaverton area for more than 20 years. We care about their growth and development cognitively, socially, physically and emotionally. It matters to us that they learn everyday and enjoy the process of discovery and exploration. It is our hope that we are contributing to the creation of happy, life long learners who will take the world “by storm” some day. I love my job here at KinderCare working with you, your children and my teaching team. Infants grow and learn every day. We provide a safe and nurturing “home away from home” where infants can explore and make new discoveries. As toddlers develop friendships, self-esteem, and curiosity, our program will help them explore their world in a safe and nurturing environment. When two-year-old’s begin to express their independence, our program introduces them to a world of learning, sharing, and exploring. Our classroom engages young minds with the early learning fundamentals they’ll need as they continue on to preschool, with a rich blend of music, art, and dramatic play. Our preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners. Through independent exploration, structured activities, and hands-on learning, children develop early literacy, mathematics, science, and social skills. Prekindergarten children are preparing for the adventure of a lifetime. The Prekindergarten program is designed to get them ready by teaching letters and words, math concepts, and valuable social skills. With small group instruction, independent play in an organized atmosphere, and large-group activities, children will have all the right skills to hop, skip, and jump into kindergarten. Our kindergarten program helps them explore, communicate, and create —all in a nurturing, small-class setting. We present our unique curriculum of reading, language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and physical fitness in an engaging way that encourages a lifelong love of learning. Our school age program is for before and after school children which during that time we help with homework and have fun activities to finish off their day. We transport to the following schools: Beaver Acres, Elmonica, McKinley, Five Oaks, Kinnaman, Barnes, Valley Catholic, Imlay, Orenco, Tobias, Indian Hills, Ladd Acres, Reedville, Qutama.

Description

Calendar planning of educational activities under the program “World of Discoveries”. Educator work plan. A basic level of. Senior group of kindergarten.
The manual presents a work plan and technology for planning the educational activities of a kindergarten teacher in accordance with the conceptual provisions, goals and objectives of the comprehensive educational program for preschool education “The World of Discoveries” under the general editorship of L.G. Peterson, I.A. Lykova. nine0021
The first part of the manual proposes a work plan for the educational activities of educators with children of the older group for the academic year (from September to May inclusive) – directly educational activities and educational activities in the daily routine. The work plan begins with an individual group profile (filled in by educators on their own), contains perspective (for a month) and calendar (for a week and every day) modules. Each module has invariant and variable parts, which allows educators, on the one hand, to unify the process of planning educational activities with children, on the other hand, to quickly make additions and changes to the plan depending on the educational situation in the group, taking into account the specific contingent of children, their interests and needs. nine0021
The methodological recommendations placed in the second part of the manual will help teachers approach the planning process systematically and comprehensively.

Formation of the foundations for the development of preschool educational institutions through participation in monitoring the quality of preschool education

From October to December 2020, our kindergarten participated in monitoring the quality of preschool education for children from 3 to 7 years old in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in an experimental mode and approbation of monitoring the quality of preschool education using the MKDO toolkit for children from 0 to 3 years old.

A unified system for monitoring the quality of preschool education – transparent, understandable to all participants in the educational process, valid, objective and reliable – combines the requirements of various existing regulatory documents and sets clear guidelines for the operation of the entire system of preschool education, provides high-quality data for the implementation of quality control of education and detection of violations of requirements legislation on education, creates an evidence-based basis for the development of preschool education in the Russian Federation.
nine0003

Monitoring, implemented on the basis of the MKDO Concept, makes it possible to improve the mechanisms for both internal and external assessment of the quality of education in preschool educational institutions, obtain the data necessary for the development of the education system, increase the transparency of key aspects of modern Russian preschool education for all interested parties, including parents and guardians of pupils, other members of their families, the general public.

To assess the quality of education in the MCCE process, a combination of internal and external assessment models is used, as well as an integrated analysis of the assessment results.
nine0003

The model of internal assessment of the quality of preschool education is used when conducting internal monitoring of the quality of education in a preschool educational institution and includes: self-assessment of preschool teachers and an internal assessment of the quality of preschool education and services for the supervision and care of pupils and the activities of the preschool educational institution that provide them.

Based on the results of the assessment, the quality management system of education in groups and in the preschool educational institution as a whole is being improved, development programs for the group and preschool educational institutions are being developed.
nine0003

The report on the internal assessment of the quality of preschool education and services for the supervision and care of pupils of the preschool educational institution serves as the basis for the subsequent stage of the external assessment of the quality of preschool education in the preschool educational institution.

The model of external quality assessment is used during the stage of external monitoring of the quality of preschool education and includes: an independent assessment of the quality of education by parents (legal representatives) of pupils of preschool educational institutions; external expert monitoring of the quality of activities (field).
nine0003

Based on the results of a comprehensive analysis of the quality of educational activities, analytical reports are compiled, recommendations are made for the development of the quality of preschool education and services for the supervision and care of pupils of preschool educational institutions. Monitoring data helps teachers and other employees of preschool educational institutions to identify risk areas in their professional activities, develop a plan for professional self-improvement and advanced training. Based on the results of the MKDO in kindergarten, work is planned to improve the effective management of the quality of educational activities in preschool educational institutions.
nine0003

The monitoring is also aimed at drawing attention to the problem of information accessibility of kindergartens for parents/legal representatives. Based on this information, parents can decide on the choice of an educational organization for their child, taking into account territorial and social factors, as well as find out if there are conditions for the education of children with disabilities and take part in the education of their child.

Thanks to the collection, processing, systematization and analysis of monitoring data, a reliable basis has been formed for the implementation of the functions of monitoring the implementation of educational activities in preschool educational institutions.
nine0003

Monitoring data is the basis for building plans for the professional development of teachers. We all understand that even the most excellent educational program does not guarantee a high quality of education if the teacher does not cope with his tasks. It is the quality of the teacher’s work that determines the effectiveness of the entire organization.

When conducting professional self-assessment within the framework of the MKDO, 85.7% of kindergarten teachers assessed their professional qualifications and the quality of pedagogical work by three or more points for most indicators, that is, they reach and exceed the required basic level. The results of internal and external peer review generally confirm these figures.
nine0003

As a result of the analysis of the obtained results, problem points were identified. So, in the area of quality “Educational Program”, indicators below the baseline were revealed in the following issues: AOOP DO for children with disabilities, OP DO, AOP DO. The obtained indicators are due to the fact that a limited number of teachers work with these programs, and AEP DO in kindergarten is not implemented due to the lack of such a category of pupils.

In the quality area “Content of educational activities” a low indicator (0.95 points) in the question “Speech development in a bilingual and multilingual environment” is due to the fact that the main part of the pupils are Russian-speaking children, education in kindergarten is conducted in Russian, 3 children of Armenian nationality attend kindergarten, but parents are interested that their children were educated in Russian.

In the area of quality “Educational process”, the score of 2.9 points in the question “Project-thematic activity” is due to the insufficient level of use by teachers of individual project-research activities with children.
nine0003

In the question “Use of information technologies”, the score of 2.95 is caused by insufficient provision of computer equipment and multimedia equipment.

Low indicators in the field of quality “Conditions for obtaining preschool education for persons with disabilities and disabled people” on the following issues: organization of education for children with disabilities in a group, inclusion in a group, special work with children with disabilities, work with children with disabilities are due to the fact that The base level for these indicators was set only by teachers working with children with disabilities, the rest indicated that they are familiar with this area, but do not carry out such work.
nine0003

Thanks to participation in the MKDO, teachers received clear and stable guidelines for the quality of the educational process, which in the future allows them to properly organize their work and achieve good results. Some of the teachers, while doing excellent classes in a group, do not pay enough attention to supporting children’s initiative in mastering the content of the program, because they do not consider this a significant quality factor. They are not familiar enough with the data of modern scientific research on the effectiveness of various pedagogical approaches.
nine0003

The problematic issues identified, thanks to the MKDO tools, make it possible to coordinate the directions of self-development and professional development of teachers.

When conducting an internal assessment of the groups for all indicators, a baseline was identified. The average score for all indicators is 3.22. The declining indicator is the question “Personnel conditions. Workload and working conditions”. The reason for this is not the number of children in the group (it meets sanitary requirements), but the fact that the salary level of most teachers remains below the average regional level.
nine0003

The assessment of the educational organization as a whole also showed a basic level. The average score for indicators is 3.59 points.

MKDO creates the basis for effective management of the quality of education in preschool educational institutions. Monitoring data provide an evidence base for initiatives aimed at the continuous development of preschool.

The internal quality assessment system allows you to understand in time what is outdated and needs to be modernized in matters related to fire safety, food, compliance with SanPiN. It is important that even before the arrival of the regulatory authorities, it became possible to identify problems and work on their solution, independently assessing each area and quality indicator. In addition, MKDO studies the activities of preschool educational institutions from almost all sides: indicators are analyzed that characterize the areas of responsibility of various participants in preschool education – a teacher, a leader, a team of kindergarten workers, and a founder.
nine0003

This approach allows you to move away from assessing the quality “on paper” and focus on the real aspects of the activities of the preschool educational institution.

In 2021, the kindergarten became an innovative platform for the ANO DPO “National Institute for the Quality of Education” on the topic: “Development of the quality of preschool education using the Toolkit for monitoring the quality of preschool education on the Inspiration educational platform”, from September, the early age group No.
