East Forsyth High School is located in Kernersville in Forsyth County, North Carolina. It is designed in a campus style with numerous small buildings rather than one large building. [3]

  • 5 External link main educational buildings; four buildings have eight classrooms, two others have ten classrooms, and one has up to sixteen classrooms. Two pod trailers are located at the rear of the campus. There are also two gyms, an assembly hall, a cafeteria, a courtyard, a technology building and an office building with a library. [3]

    The recently completed campus renovation ended up changing the entire school. A two-story building in the shape of the letter “L” was built; it has 16 classrooms, office space, and a new media center. The existing office building was also renovated; it now houses the fine arts as well as business and technology education programs on campus. The auditorium and some of the current buildings have been updated, and a new traffic pattern has been introduced on campus.

    Athletics

    East Forsyth High School offers a variety of sports including swimming, wrestling, athletics and football. The full list of East Forsyth’s Athletic sports programs includes: Baseball, Basketball, Football, Eaglettes Dance Team, Cheerleading, Softball, Off Road, Swimming, Tennis, Football, Volleyball, Golf, Wrestling, Field Hockey, Track and Lacrosse.

    In 1992, East Forsyth won its first state football championship. Led by head coach Joe Bill Ellender and the AP all state trio, quarterback Joe Lagarde and OL/DL leaders James Clyburn and Gary Wadford, the Eagles finished the season 15–0–0 by defeating North High School (Durham, NC) in NCHSAA 4A Championship game ranked 15th in the USA TODAY super 25 poll.

    East Forsythe had one of their best seasons in 2008, 12–2. This record was just broken in 2012 when East Forsyth Going 13–1 with an undefeated 11–0 in the regular season. In the 2014 season, the Eagles won another conference championship by defeating Northwest Guildford 36–15.
