On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, the School Board of Broward County, Florida unanimously approved an employment agreement with the newly selected Superintendent of Broward County Public Schools (BCPS), Dr.Peter B. Licata. Dr. Licata will lead the sixth-largest school system in the nation and second-largest system in Florida, following a national search for candidates.
