Apache2 Debian Default Page: It works
Apache2 Debian Default Page
This is the default welcome page used to test the correct
operation of the Apache2 server after installation on Debian systems.
If you can read this page, it means that the Apache HTTP server installed at
this site is working properly. You should replace this file (located at
/var/www/html/index.html) before continuing to operate your HTTP server.
If you are a normal user of this web site and don’t know what this page is
about, this probably means that the site is currently unavailable due to
maintenance.
If the problem persists, please contact the site’s administrator.
Debian’s Apache2 default configuration is different from the
upstream default configuration, and split into several files optimized for
interaction with Debian tools. The configuration system is
fully documented in
/usr/share/doc/apache2/README.Debian.gz. Refer to this for the full
documentation. Documentation for the web server itself can be
found by accessing the manual if the apache2-doc
package was installed on this server.
The configuration layout for an Apache2 web server installation on Debian systems is as follows:
/etc/apache2/ |-- apache2.conf | `-- ports.conf |-- mods-enabled | |-- *.load | `-- *.conf |-- conf-enabled | `-- *.conf |-- sites-enabled | `-- *.conf
-
apache2.conf is the main configuration
file. It puts the pieces together by including all remaining configuration
files when starting up the web server. -
ports.conf is always included from the
main configuration file. It is used to determine the listening ports for
incoming connections, and this file can be customized anytime. -
Configuration files in the mods-enabled/,
conf-enabled/ and sites-enabled/ directories contain
particular configuration snippets which manage modules, global configuration
fragments, or virtual host configurations, respectively. -
They are activated by symlinking available
configuration files from their respective
*-available/ counterparts. These should be managed
by using our helpersa2enmod,
a2dismod,a2ensite,
a2dissite,and
a2enconf,
a2disconf
. See their respective man pages for detailed information. -
The binary is called apache2. Due to the use of
environment variables, in the default configuration, apache2 needs to be
started/stopped with /etc/init.d/apache2 or apache2ctl.
Calling /usr/bin/apache2 directly will not work with the
default configuration.
By default, Debian does not allow access through the web browser to
any file apart of those located in /var/www,
public_html
directories (when enabled) and /usr/share (for web
applications). If your site is using a web document root
located elsewhere (such as in /srv) you may need to whitelist your
document root directory in /etc/apache2/apache2. conf.
The default Debian document root is /var/www/html. You
can make your own virtual hosts under /var/www. This is different
to previous releases which provides better security out of the box.
Please use the reportbug tool to report bugs in the
Apache2 package with Debian. However, check existing bug reports before reporting a new bug.
Please report bugs specific to modules (such as PHP and others)
to respective packages, not to the web server itself.

How to raise a child before kindergarten. 0 to 3
Preface to the book
It’s amazing how smart our ancestors were. Long before the advent of many sciences, including child psychology, the people composed proverbs, the relevance of which does not fade over the years: “Child, that the dough: how you knead it, it grew”, “Raise a child while it lies across the bench”, “Raising children is not count chickens, etc. Children of the first years of life are fantastically trained, but it depends solely on the parents whether these “sponges” will be nourished and with what exactly.
Here it is appropriate to explain why we allowed ourselves to give advice to parents. We, the co-authors of this book, are more than a hundred years old – for two. That is, we are quite mature fathers, even grandfathers. One of us has three children (two girls and a boy), and in addition two granddaughters. The second of us has one granddaughter so far, and four children (three girls and a boy).
For the first time, each of us became a father at the age of 21, barely out of adolescence. But our younger children were born to older people – when we were 25, 30, 40 and more years old. We admit that we paid much more attention to the younger children than to the older ones. Of course, this does not mean that we love our firstborn less than their younger sisters and brothers. Love has nothing to do with it at all, we love our children equally: “all stand in the same line.” It’s something else.
Young parents do not know that upbringing is the purposeful formation and development of a personality. They are convinced that upbringing consists only in feeding and dressing the baby, teaching him how to brush his teeth, putting etiquette in his head and accustoming him to discipline (you can’t, but don’t touch this). In fact, this is only a small part of education. Having become fathers for the first time, we ourselves were, by and large, fools. Forgive us, our first-borns: over the years, we have realized that an education that is not given to children will forever remain not given to children.
That’s the main reason for writing the book. We explain on its pages what education is and how to do it. And to begin with, let’s say something that many will not like: the bitter truth. Parents! Do not try to evade parenting – do not harm your children. Besides you, no one in the world will seriously raise your child. Will you shove grandma? The result will be lisping: oh, you are small, oh, our pretty little paw-slipper, pussy-musi, eat another spoonful, don’t go here and don’t go there!
Or maybe you think your child will be raised by a hired nanny? Believe me, she has a completely different goal: to save her job, i.e. money you pay out of your own pocket. Therefore, the nanny will in every possible way limit the baby, forbid him everything in a row worse than any grandmother, because the slightest oversight threatens with dismissal. Imagine how downtrodden a person will grow up in the grip of countless restrictions.
No, no one will do this work – education – for you, dear parents. Grandma and grandpa, aunt and uncle, nanny and driver, secretary and security guard can replace you for a while, nothing more. Isn’t it fair? Not logical? Well, if you dared to become parents, you and educate: take the process into your own hands. And we, the authors, will help you. The recommendations collected here are specific, understandable and even lapidary. Our boards-tips are tiny, frank, all the “water” is squeezed out of them, that is, unnecessary words.
Together with the EKSMO publishing house, we thought: how best to present advice so that it is very convenient to use it? Usually in Russia they are sent to kindergarten at the age of about 3 years, when the child can do a lot on his own, although without much, frankly, brilliance. By the age of 3, the baby speaks somehow, uses a mug, a fork and a spoon, washes, dresses and undresses, draws scribbles, sculpts freaks, sings about a grasshopper, stomps in rhythm – dances, plays on a computer, calls letters with numbers, etc. .d.
So, our advice is addressed to parents of children from birth to 3 years of age. When determining the order of the boards-councils, we were guided by the fact that it is necessary to solve problems as they arise. For example, the topic of feeding (natural or artificial) usually does not appear immediately. Usually, a mother has milk, but sooner or later circumstances force her to give up breastfeeding, and these circumstances are known in advance: the mother either rushes to return to school or work after the birth of the child, or is in no hurry.
We will help your little one master the tricks that will be required in kindergarten, and then come in handy at school, university and throughout life. Accordingly, there are three parts in the booklet: “Baby from birth to one year old”, “Baby from one to two years old” and “Baby from two to three years old”. There is nowhere better, right?
“Won’t our Tanya overtire? – some parents, grandparents, pretty idlers are afraid. “Won’t our Kolya’s head hurt?” Children are prevented from exercising their heads by those adults who themselves are not accustomed to doing this. If mom is not addicted to books, she will be offended when Tanechka swallows books instead of chatting about pickling cucumbers. A reading person constantly thinks, understanding the words read is a part of thinking, which infantile parents who have not grown out of children’s pants do not suspect. Intense contemplation is the norm for a waking person: the head from reading will not hurt, but without it, it will not grow wiser.
If dad does not know what button to start the computer, he will try to tear his Rita away from the monitor: “Go knock on badminton, otherwise you will become bespectacled.” During the capture of Cambodia in 1975, the Khmer Rouge killed all people with glasses so that the “wise men” could not read “enemy” literature. But in fact, glasses equalized people with poor eyesight and with normal, whole nations of bespectacled people appeared, for example, the Japanese. In Japan, they live on average longer than 80 years, and in Russia – less than 65: myopia does not interfere with longevity. It is as normal to wear glasses or contact lenses today as it was normal to be vigilant in ancient times: it allowed you to spot both game and danger in time. You need to be afraid not of myopia, but of stupidity.
Before we get down to business, we would like to sincerely thank the mothers who shared their experience with us. Their advice, combined with our fatherly knowledge, gave a synergistic, i.e. reinforcing effect. Like it or not, in the early years, children are more with their mothers. The basis of our booklet was “Mishin’s diary – up to a year”, “Mishin’s diary – 2nd year”, “Mishin’s diary – 3rd year” by Olga Valentinovna Martyanova and “Outline of current topics” by Elena Vladimirovna Marinina. Low bow to you, mothers!

Hosted my sisters’ bachelorette party at the Crystal River Inn over Murder Mystery weekend. The hosts Katy and Mike and their girls were so sweet and helpful. We felt at home. Everything was clean, comfortable and the food was great! I especially enjoyed the German Chocolate Chocolate Pie served at the Friday night dessert buffet! We never did a murder mystery – it was super fun, something for everyone, even if you have the quiet ones in the group – parts for them too. I would like to return to another riddle.

Shabby chic aside; just shabby. We stayed in the Barton Springs suite. Online photos look much better than reality. We had to stay at Thomas House because of our dogs. The innkeeper was worried about our little dogs by riding the furniture, but my dogs were cleaner than the furniture! Lots of road noise, the shutters were broken, the light from across the street was visible directly under the too short shutters, threaded carpet. The bed was by far the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. The sheets had holes in them, didn’t feel clean, the bed is in serious need of a new mattress. The furniture in the room was old and worn out (no antiques). The jacuzzi tub looked dirty. The coffee pot outside of our room took over 30 minutes to make a coffee pot. The bath mat was dirty. They do have a white noise machine but we could still hear traffic all night. I wanted to stay here for a long time, but now that I have, I will not stay here again. Just a big disappointment. The gardens are wonderful. I hope the breakfast is good!

The Victorian style rooms were cozy and the beds very comfortable. Large jacuzzi and very clean. Great location because you can walk everywhere in the city center, restaurants, bars, campus and the river. The owner Katy is very kind, sweet and cares about the people who stay in her hotel. Cute little garden with a fish pond that my son loved!

Interesting, my review is no longer up. They are also trying to get my feedback from the wedding wire… Well let me just let you run down my wedding here. Katie Dillon was always late for every appointment we had, she didn’t even show up until the meeting my mother had to miss work which we found out after waiting an hour and a half. The staff kept telling us that she was on her way… I specifically asked for some things and the wedding day got the wrong chairs. She gave us the cheaper ones the other bride picked a week ago and didn’t give us a discount of any kind. For the actual wedding day, the room we were forced to buy with the wedding was freezing all night and so close to the bar next door to me and my bridesmaids didn’t sleep until 4am. They refused to let us start setup until 2 hours before the wedding when we were promised we could start setup at 8am for my 5pm wedding so we would have plenty of time to get dressed and made up as we did it ourselves . The staff kept trying to get photos of me and our set up and I refused if you see the beauty and photos of the beast on there portfolio they stole because we installed and did everything. We only paid for a seat there. Then dinner was ok at best, I have a lot of allergies that they weren’t very accommodating and they started cleaning up and putting the food away as soon as the line ended. Seconds for no one!

Honestly the absolute best hotel I have ever stayed in! I went to do a muder mystery for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary! I’m only 12 and let me just say it was one of the best weekends ever! I was very pleased with the food. I even thought I was such a picky eater. Definitely recommend this hotel! All rooms are fantastic and you really feel like you are at home! Cathy and her husband manage the building. They were so awesome!

The staff bent over backwards to please us. The breakfast was amazing and the rooms are really beautiful. The owners are very involved in making sure your happy. They did us a huge favor when we bought something big to ship and they volutered to actually keep it in their personal lounge until we could get it in 3 weeks! Now this is what you call Texas hospiltality! The BEST experience for two overstressed people who need time! Also d’ouvres free snacks at the Palmer restaurant which is so good and within walking distance. Sandy Tyer Praver and Dr. Howard Praver.

Amazing and friendly staff! The hotel was lovely and very clean. They had an assortment of amenities to keep my wife and I comfortable. The room was charming and felt very homey and relaxing. They even provided us with a fire door so we could use the fire and make our anniversary even more romantic! Definitely looking forward to going again and would highly recommend this hotel for a hassle free and organic experience!

I came to town on business and was looking for somewhere to stay that wasn’t a General franchise hotel, but something with charm and character. Crystal River Inn offered me everything I was looking for. I am not too familiar with the area and the staff were able to make great suggestions on where to eat, things to do while I was with her and wonderfully helpful with any questions I had about the area. Since I was tired of working all day, I sincerely appreciated the hospitality of the staff, how clean and beautiful the room is, and the excellent breakfast that was prepared when I was ready for it, not prepared in advance. Love the eggs Benedict! Can’t wait to visit again soon and I would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Good people, but the house is not that great fortune. (very old and in need of major refurbishment) will go there for breakfast and the atmosphere with friends. Great location to everything and very helpful to find local places.

We stayed at the Crystal River Inn for our sons Newbie targeting Texas. There were pros and cons to our stay. Pros: The hotel is located very close to the Texas State Campus, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the Spa next door was great! Cons: We arrived and were put into a nook apartment at the back of the property which was old and run on! We had a 2 room suite and the AC in the main (larger room) was poor and froze my kids lived in a smaller room. There were charges of $20.00 extra for our kids to eat breakfast and no one could (or wanted to) finish what was served. Took our daughter for breakfast after leaving the hotel for 1 day.

Ideal for birthdays, weekend getaways! My husband and I share the same birthday and the staff went out of their way to make our day special. The food was delicious and the rooms had so many characters. All in all, our trip was fun and affordable and at the same time absolutely priceless.

Finally I convinced my husband to take a nice weekend getaway to the B&B. No friends, no agenda, just me and him. I chose Crystal River Inn due to lively social promotion. From the moment I call for booking the trip, they have been great! They helped me choose the best weekend, room and activities. The facility itself was not quite what I expected (a bit outdated decor) but used to charm and cosiness. The staff is wonderful! These ladies (cf. Lexi and others) pride ourselves in providing exceptional customer service! We didn’t have to ask you twice for anything you asked for and we were always accommodating! We spent our leisure time relaxing in the room and around the city. There are numerous activities to participate in local bars and shops in the premium chain stores less than 5 miles from the hotel. I highly recommend the Crystal River Inn to friends and family. This is a quirky little gem with exceptional staff! Thank you ladies and I hope your business continues to thrive! God bless! La.

My wife and I got married here. We only had a month to think and the staff were excellent in helping us. On the day of the wedding, not a single thing went right, and the beautiful Inn was constantly praised from my state family. A truly amazing place.

For my graduation weekend, my family stayed two nights at the Crystal River Inn. It was such a pleasure! Within walking distance of many of San Marcos attractions; including at the university, cafes, coffee shops, bookstores, and the grocery store. We were made welcome by all the staff at the property and felt quite at home. My grandparents stayed in a room located in Thomas’ house, which is next door to the main house. They thought the room was perfect and said they slept great. My parents and little siblings lived in a suite in a rock house. It consists of two adjoining rooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. My mother thought it was great for the kids and they loved the oversized jacuzzi in the bathroom. Can you say bubble bath! Breakfast the next morning was delicious. Fresh fruit, cranberry chocolate muffins, smoked sausage, and vegetable/egg casserole. Real jam! And in coffee. Do you know when you go somehere and coffee tastes like water? Not here. She is strong and oh so good! Everyone was so welcoming and very quick and willing to accommodate. We would definietly come back again. Thanks to the owners and staff for such a fabulous prom weekend.
