Chess logarithmics. For preschool institutions read online for free Aleksey Ratushny

CHESS LOGO RHYTHM. Let’s reveal the content of the terms

General principles for constructing Chess Logo Rhythm in a preschool institution – we will reveal the content of the terms.

Cyclicity

The educational process is cyclical. Each cycle has its own amplitude of development. We distinguish several basic cycles: annual, seasonal, competitive. In a preschool institution, four annual cycles can be distinguished: for three-year-olds, for four-year-olds, for five-year-olds and for six-year-olds. There are four seasonal cycles: autumn-winter (preparation for the New Year), winter (preparation for March 8th), spring (preparation for graduation) and summer (for those who did not go with their parents). nine0004

Cyclicity allows you to maintain continuity and traditions, creates a working atmosphere in a preschool institution, it is clear to parents and employees and understandable to others and inspectors. The annual cycle is a general strategy for the movement of the child in the project during the school year.

The season cycle is a general strategy for the movement of the child in the project during the season.

Rhythm

Each of us has a beating heart. There is nothing worse than irregular heartbeats. There is nothing more terrible for the normal movement of a child than the arrhythmia of his studies in certain areas of development. Rhythm is the basis of normal development and maturation. Rhythm is the basis of personality formation. nine0004

Therefore, the correct choice of rhythm is one of the main tasks of modern pedagogy. The chosen rhythm of classes should be adequate to the growing body and its real and not “theoretical” needs.

Therefore, a teacher teaching chess in kindergarten is obliged to pay great attention to the training of educators, who are necessarily included in the process of “replacing” classes in cases of various “quarantines” and diseases of the child.

The scourge of rhythm is the non-rhythmic visits of various theaters to a preschool institution, various events of various levels, training fire and other alarms. nine0004

We devote a large number of our own studies to the doctrine of the construction of the rhythm of cycles. This is a large, complex branched science, but with an appropriate systematic study of these issues with parents, educators and the administration of a preschool institution, a drop wears away a stone! – Gradually, it is possible to develop a fairly stable functioning rhythmologically secured system.

Sequence

One of the biggest mistakes of novice chess teachers working with preschoolers is the involuntary substitution of the concepts of “external sequence” and “necessary sequence”. Consistency, as a principle, consists in the steady consistent implementation of all other principles, and not in external adherence to an externally given but methodologically absolutely unsecured, I would say “imaginary”, “sequence” type: rook, bishop, knight, pawn, etc. d.

The preschool child is the “incognito body”.

He is absolutely unknown to us.

Due to genetic, geomorphological, geomagnetic, virological and geographical features, each specific organism develops absolutely individually. Organs and organelles mature at different rates, the brain is configured in completely different and largely unknown ways. We can assume anything and theorize as we like, but achieving a deep understanding of the personality of a growing baby is not a trivial task and in most cases unattainable. The task of the teacher here is standard: careful thoughtfully organized observation and soft and softest correction in the most extreme cases. The child has enough circumstances and personalities that influence him powerfully besides us. He comes to our classes in order to comprehend some of the basic foundations of one of the universes of the outside world. There is no need to set yourself unattainable and unrealistic goals. nine0004

Do no harm! here, as in all normal pedagogy, the leader. Ahead of the baby is a huge beautiful wonderful fantastic magical life. You are a traveler who accidentally met him on the way.

Help him choose a good pebble on the ocean, help him see how beautiful some of the details on the horizon are, wish him health and happiness, praise him for his good move, and send him on. Be a ray of kindness in his heart, become a kind word in his memory. nine0004

Presenting a child with various thoughtful beautiful sequences, consistently leading him through a system of rituals, ceremonies, traditions, consistently forming in him a set of higher order basic categories that discipline his own thinking is the most difficult and most responsible task and one of the leading principles in our daily work.

Diversity

In the process of lessons, we must form three basic universal concepts in the child:

Move

Figure

Field

Unfortunately, most authors not only do not work through this apparatus of categories, but they themselves do not delve into its value and logical content thoroughly enough.

We have nowhere to hurry!

Nothing at all is better than something bad or incomplete.

Michelangelo formulated it this way: “The master is obliged to appear to the world in his perfect creations.”

We present each of the formed concepts to the child in the most diverse way. nine0004

We not only show him a “cell” on the board, but we show him a whole set of representations of this same cell. This is a cell on the floor, and on it he runs, crawls, jumps, jumps, gets into it, freezes on it. He sees it both horizontally and vertically and on the screen and on various boards and drawings. He hears its numerous “names”: “house”, “clearing”, “square”, “speck”, “cell”, “cell”, “garden”, “field”. He pronounces and sings these words thousands and tens of thousands of times. He uses them actively and quite “meaningfully”. nine0004

The field as a fragment of a flat-structured two-dimensional space is an abstraction of the highest range available to a child’s thinking.

His thinking begins to operate little by little with this “switching on”, to play with this “almost concept”. He has a very long way to comprehend the game of complexes of fields. He will have to see millions of abstract images on his internal “monitor” before he can consciously sacrifice a queen for a stale checkmate to his partner’s king somewhere on our seven. We have nowhere to hurry! Each presentation of the “field” must be carefully thought out and verbally reliably provided. nine0004

The same can be repeated about the other two categories that are subject to basic assimilation in kindergarten. A variety of presentations, the use of all the possibilities available to us turns the process of comprehension into a joyful, magical, pleasant, inspiring, contagious, comfortable. The eyes, ears, and sense of smell of the child are involved, and everything presented should be beautiful, beautiful, harmonious. This is the general principle.

Versatility

Aristotle’s topic is built on examining the objects of the outside world from different angles. Versatility is the principle of considering and presenting chess arts to a child from different angles. And not least from the side of external human perceptions. nine0004

Here is a man smiling: why is he smiling?

Here a man thought: what was he thinking about?

In this sense, various cartoon representations of chess make it possible to see “figures” from different sides. And as aesthetic objects, and as carriers of forces and energy, and as a kind of economic tools.

For versatility, such an environment is necessary that allows the child not only to see objects “from the side”, but also “to rotate them”, influence them, penetrate them, imagine himself as such an object as if from within. nine0004

A child lives in tens of thousands of different roles in the game and imagines himself either as a king, or a pawn, or a fairy-tale hero.

Therefore, the technology of ensuring versatility, diversity, and discrepancy is one of the most important components of the entire process of organizing the initial acquaintance and basic comprehension of the world of chess by a child.

Inclusiveness

Combining the principles of diversity and versatility leads to a consistent application of the principle of inclusiveness. At some point, a child, climbing this mountain of sensations and ideas, can finally, as if at once, embrace the whole picture of the chess world. He grasps it all with one glance and perceives it as something huge and beautiful. nine0004

You can’t grasp the immensity, but you can still see the globe at once from afar.

Yes, many details are lost then, but the general idea is formed quite clearly.

And only this all-encompassing vision brings the child to the Holistic perception of the acquired idea.

Integrity

The figure, move and field are presented to the child as a whole, in one act of movement. The child dances moving from field to field and at this moment he himself and the figure and its “move”. nine0004

A child moves a piece from field to field on a chessboard.

At no time does he “study” a chess square, a chess piece and a chess move separately. All three elements are present in his game and in his perceptions of the game at the same time.

Sequence

The child is led sequentially through a series of game states. At the same time, the movement is carried out from simple to complex, from a single-figure game to a multi-figure game. Each next microgame is more difficult than the previous one. nine0004

The teacher strictly observes the order of increasing the number of figures, the number of fields and the number of moves.

At the same time, sequentially emerging goals are set in each microgame.

For example, first the goal is to reach a certain position or to “eat” one specific piece.

First, the goal is to simply encircle the king. And only then the task becomes more difficult.

Logical clarity

At no time is a child confronted with unclear, complex, problematic questions and positions. On the contrary, each microgame contains an absolutely clear goal, a completely understandable logic for achieving the goal. nine0004

Logical completion

Each microgame is brought to its logical end. No “forks” of the result, no “unclear” endings. The chanterelle either eats all the hens, or one of them breaks into the house and thereby saves all the others.

Brevity in words (verbal conciseness)

No “multi-page” ranting. Each microgame contains a complete and comprehensive internal commentary dictionary.

The basis of the lesson is a logical formula that is subject to unconditional assimilation by the child. nine0004

Note that many cartoons and many “training” programs also sin with verbosity. The classic of the “genre” – “Dinosaurs”.

Let’s pay attention to the real classics. When demonstrating the opening scheme No. 1, we clearly pronounce the moves:

“Pawn! Horse! Elephant! Castling!”

Not a single extra word or movement!

Non-verbal

Most ideas are transmitted to children non-verbally (wordlessly!).

Demonstrate the movement of the rook – move it vertically. Horizontally. Everything! Not a single extra word or even sound! nine0004

The emotional background of the demonstrations should also be taken into account.

Children acutely feel not words, but emotion, but intonation in words!

Intonation and emotional contact with the child is the most important component of success.

Concrete abstractness

At no time should we forget that playing with chess material is a game of thinking with abstractions of the highest level.

The child has yet to climb this level. nine0004

And don’t slip, fall or get hurt.

Here the great Hegelian formula is leading: the universal is known in the individual through the particular.

The move is the general universal of playing thinking.

Moving a piece from cell to cell of the board along a certain trajectory is a single one.

Concretization of the figurine and trajectory is the presentation of the special.

At no time do we allow ourselves to “philosophize” in front of a child. nine0004

The truth is concrete!

– Chanterelle wants to eat chicken. That’s how she sneaks up from behind!

We are demonstrating the move of the rook.

We demonstrate an effective strategy to undermine the base of the pawn chain.

But for the child, we form a specific text in which there are no non-verbally formed concepts.

With words, we build on the baby’s already available thinking and demonstrate what turns external words into a concrete and fully digestible action. The kid may not be able to repeat the words, but he repeats the action confidently. nine0004

Rigidity of logical formulas

Working with a preschool child requires a monstrous elaboration of texts. Not only not a single superfluous word, but also a thorough selection of the most effective words and the order in which they are presented.

All we have is one – maximum – two minutes of the baby’s attention at the start. The slightest “relax” and the child flew away into his thoughts and experiences. The brighter and tougher the logical formula and the procedure for its presentation, the faster and more successfully the baby will be able to repeat the task. nine0004

Success evokes positive emotions in him and he is ready to repeat the successful action many, many times!

Anchor positions

One of the most difficult principles to master.

A child does not forgive mistakes.

He just doesn’t know how to endure and forgive yet.

Therefore, each position successfully achieved with him must be secured with a special sign (word, gesture, movement) – an “anchor”.

Anchor is not a reference signal.

The reference signal is just a construction of a demonstrating gesture (movement) and an element of a logical formula. nine0004

Anchor is a sign external to the reference signal, which allows the child to quickly restore the lost position.

For example, turning to the study of basic opening schemes, I do not forget to repeat with feeling and breath: “Ai-yay-yay! We completely forgot!”

Or, starting on the topic of small games, I exclaim: “Oh-oh-oh! How small we are! So: “Ai-yay-yay!” and “Oh-oh-oh!” – anchors!

Anchors are a separate big topic in our practices and we will try to have time to return to it even before. nine0004

Comprehensibility

One of the big problems is leading a child to the brink of comprehensibility.

If the game presented to him is incomprehensible to them, it should be replaced by a simpler and more understandable one. This (as well as the following) is quite consistent with the idea of the “zone of proximal development”.

Attainability

The goal of the game being studied should be feasible and quite achievable by the child.

Setting an unattainable goal for a child is one of the biggest strategic mistakes of a teacher. nine0004

Ultimate structuredness

The board is divided into cells. But all the material offered to the child must be deeply structured and “sorted out”. In one lesson – a maximum of three units of new information.

The positive component of the process is that the emotional joyful component prevails over everything else.

Therefore, each microelement turns into a micro-game in which the child must become the winner in the ultimate ontology of classes. nine0004

Multiple repetition

Feelings experienced by a playing child who achieves a goal are the greatest value in itself. And the child strives to experience the joy of achievement that has befallen him again and again.
