Mother Goose Daycare by Lisa

The BEST Daycare in Orange County!!
Lisa’s Daycare is the most loving, welcoming, incredible daycare I have ever taken my kid to. She does crafts with the kids everyday and I have a box at home of all of the wonderful school projects she has done with them. She takes them swimming during the summerand to the park to play.
This 1 star review must have been the wrong house as nobody in Lisa’s amazing family smokes or has smoked for years.. and I know that because they have become like family to me and my kid.
100/10 review and anybody would be lucky to have a daycare provider like Lisa…

Donya’s Child Care

Donya and her helpers are the sweetest most attentive and loving to my son. If you’re like me and did extensive research on finding the perfect Daycare for your child, look no further. They are the best in Irvine. A lot of the parents commute from far away city’s to have her care for their childor children. My son has been at Donya’s Daycare since he was 3 months old and he truly feels like it’s his second home. Morning drop offs and pick ups are easy because he is excited to go there to hang with his friends. Donya goes above and beyond for every child’s birthday. She decorates and throws amazing birthday parties. It’s really heartwarming to see how much she cares for her children attending there. She’s active on social media so you get updates in a really fun way! My son loves Miss Katie and Miss Ziba too. They are the kindest humans on the planet. You just get good vibes all around. Donya’s Daycare is clean and because they are very careful during these Covid times, they were at one point the only 2 daycares in the city that remained opened (never shut down due to a mass spread of the virus) They are professional and stay in communication regarding your child’s needs. I definitely recommend Donya’s Daycare!…

Paradise Kids

Both my children went to Paradise Kids and I’m so grateful to Marjan and her staff for their excellent care. They started at the same time when my youngest was an infant, and the oldest was a toddler. Marjan gave thorough daily updates on both and helped my toddler get acclimated quickly. She alsoalways had great advice on child development and things we could supplement at home. She was even accommodating with an aide/therapist for my oldest, which I didn’t find at other daycares.
My youngest is starting TK in the fall but she’s already met some academic goals thanks to working with Marjan. She really cares about each of the children and has built a great community of parents. It’s bittersweet leaving for school but she really prepared my kids well in a loving environment and I couldn’t ask for more….

May has been working with children for two decades now and has made taking care of them her lifelong passion. She has a degree in child development, has worked at college campus daycares, centers, at homefamily daycares, and eventually opened up her own family daycare in 2015 in San Marcos. After five years of wonderful experiences, she moved to Lake Forest and wishes to continue her passion at her second home daycare. She has immense respect for both parents and their children equally, acknowledging the children’s’ growing individuality. The home provided for her children is kept regularly sanitized multiple ties per day, and she enforces a safe and comfortable learning environment for children to learn to share, be themselves, and grow through positive social interactions, all while having lots and lots of fun.May believes nutrition is as important as education and therefore provides two homemade meals and two snacks every single day, making sure she makes everything with love and care. Since May is a mother herself, she is highly educated on children’s nutrition and will make sure all her children at her facility get whole, well rounded meals. She is a certified preschool teacher, CPR and First Aid Trained, and also registered with the YMCA, CPA, CalWorks. Starting at $250/day

Description:

Open doors and arms to those from the Children’s Home Society of California!
Open in Lake Forest since 2005, I have provided government licensed childcare for families with newborns to 4-5 years old. I loveall of my children and believe it is important that they all are receive my full attention and personal supervision so i like to keep our group relatively small but am licensed for a capacity up to 8.
I believe a home daycare should be more than just a place to be while the parents or guardians are a way at work, but a place to learn. In my home daycare I take pride in providing teaching for mathematics, reading and writing English and even Spanish (if you so choose your child to learn). The vast majority of children that leave my daycare to go into kindergarten leave with advanced skills used in school from multiplication to being bilingual. This is all at no extra cost.
Between all of the learning, we like to have fun and work on art projects the children can take home with them. When it’s time to eat, we like to have homecooked meals that meat all necessary nutritional guidelines of La Habra Child Development Child Care Food Program while also respecting any dietary restrictions and allergies.
So please, consider Tweety Small Daycare for your childcare needs….

Happy Angels Haven

25291 Barents Street, Laguna Hills, CA 92653

Starting at $325/day

Description:

Happy Angels Haven, located in Laguna Hills, is just three blocks from 5 & 405 freeway, and just two easy turns to reach me on Alicia Parkway.
Parents like a quick pick-up and drop-off, and so we worktirelessly to make everything as convenient as possible.
We offer an inviting, fun-loving, caring, warm, home-like environment for children of all ages.
We cover, Laguna Hills, Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Laguna Niguel, and more.
We have openings for infant/toddlers at this time and also offer after-school care. For after school care, the child has to be at least 5 years of age in accordance with the licensing capacity.
I am a licensed and certified CPR, serving for the last 23 years. I am affiliated with the Children Home Society of America, and Nurses Zone. For my excellent service and cleanliness, I have been complimented for keeping the facility super clean and in compliance of the State and Social Services rules and regulations.
There is a very large play area, a separate nursery for newborns, as we can’t mingle them with toddlers. We have the largest backyard within the neighborhood with beautiful panoramic view, swings, long tricycle pathway, and unlimited fresh cooked meals every day and all-day long. I don’t believe in two snacks and a lunch only, children are growing and constantly need nourishment.
We have structured program with variety of activities for our kids like coloring, recognition of alphabets, numbers, colors, shapes, circle time (games and basic general knowledge), dancing hour, bubble party and creative story time which is lots of fun. Kids learn social skills and learn sharing, caring and good manners which parents see in their behavior as they grow.
I have excellent references, open days, evenings, and nights for nurses and other graveyard shift parents. I do give daycare presentation after 6:30 p.m. or Saturday morning and share a lot with the parents, so that they get to know what I have to offer. We have also helped many single moms expand their horizons, and take their careers to the next level, giving them better financial opportunity, support and a future.
The key is flexibility, as we always urge parents to visit different day care facilities and compare. In childcare, price is always secondary, as the happiness of parents and children comes first.
You will not see any kids in the pictures because of our strict privacy policy.

Hear what parents have to say about Guidepost Montessori

Changing the world, one student at a time

We are a school where children find the joy in learning — and thus make it possible for them to continue learning for the rest of their lives.

To think mathematically.
To solve problems.
To create things.
To encounter great literature that inspires their character development.
To build themselves as capable, efficacious beings.
To place themselves in history and in society.
To spark meaningful friendships and deep personal values that last a lifetime.

Our goal at Guidepost Montessori is to serve each individual child, to help them realize their limitless potential, and the opportunities they will have to create real and lasting change throughout their lifetime.

Hear from our Foothill Ranch Families

The sign-up process was all digitalized, very fast, and hassle-free. At every step, you can feel that the place is run by smart people who know what they are doing. Both our kids felt very comfortable and loved their experience at school from the first day. Their classmates and their parents are all great people.

The school is clean, safe, and very well organized.

“We couldn’t be happier with our decision”

After learning about the Montessori method and implementing the techniques at home, my wife and I knew it was time to start looking for a Montessori school for our toddler to further his development.

With so many great schools in the area, the search was on. We did virtual tours with a couple schools and one in person tour at Guidepost. We felt like Guidepost was the perfect fit and we took the leap and enrolled our son.

We are elated with Guidepost and are continually blown away by how thoughtful and organized everything is. The guides (teachers) are incredibly warm, talented, hard-working, intelligent and most of all — caring. Our son absolutely loves his guides! The administrative staff is amazing too. They are always available to answer questions, make the students feel welcomed, and put together awesome events for staff, parents, and the students.

Our toddler loves going to school and is learning new things every day. We couldn’t be happier with our decision and can’t wait to see what’s next in our son’s Montessori journey!

“Guidepost is a great place to be”

We have been a Guidepost Family for a little over a year and we are so happy! We came from another very popular Montessori school.

If you are looking for an authentic Montessori environment, you will find it at Guidepost. If you are unsure of what an authentic Montessori environment is, then come tour to see what Montessori should look like. From the mixed age classrooms, to the properly used materials, to the respect for the child’s own growth and work choices, Guidepost is a great place to be.

From a practical standpoint, parent/school communication is excellent with great communication to both the office staff and the teachers. Their COVID protocol is excellent with all kids (over 2) and staff masked all day (including the playground).

As a first time mom going back to work just before my son was three months old, I was terrified at the mere thought of leaving him with a stranger! My husband and I toured many facilities and in home daycares and were honestly feeling hopeless until we found Cub Care. We knew the second we walked in the door that our son would be well cared for. All our worries had finally subsided (I still cried the entire first week back to work while he had a blast!) Mrs. Mali and her family welcomed our son as one of their own and sent photos and videos often of his progress. Mrs. Mali even captured his first roll over and sent it to me during work. Our son just turned two and I dread the time he will have to leave Cub Care. I fear he will never find the individual attention and honest love that he has with his Cub Care family. They are truly the best and we are beyond grateful!

I think I found the best daycare in the area by sheer luck. Mali is loving and very passionate about the children she cares for. My daughter is very social and achieved many milestones, I am sure it is due to the good care Mali provided and the other children that she interacts with. My daughter is always smiling when she is there.

A no-worries home day care where you can drop off your child and be assured they are well taken care of. The owner Mrs. Hema mali, along with the help of her husband and 3 children does an excellent job in running a home based day care. They are all are very accomodating and friendly. The House is very tidy, safe and is located in a nice location in Foothill ranch. We have been sending our 3 year old there for more than a year now. They all feel like family to us and have frequent discussions with the parents about their childs activities and progress. Our child is excited to go there everyday and has a strong relationship with Hema and all her family members. We are really pleased to have found Cub care as our child’s day care.

When my ‘very unplanned’ daughter entered our world, it was the best, the scariest, and most stressful event that ever happened to us – we were very, seriously, under-prepared. I had to keep my job, so that meant I had to find a day care that I could trust to look after our 4 month old daughter (I should add, she was a preemie – 7 weeks early, so adjusted age – only two months old when I had to go back to work!).
To make a long story short – I lucked out by finding the BEST day care in all of Foothill Ranch. Ms. Mali, the day care owner and provider, is the most qualified, loving and enriching person any mother and father could wish for to watch over their child full time. Our daughter just turned two, and is thriving! I give a lot of credit to Ms. Mali in helping our daughter meet all her milestones, and in molding her sweet, loving (and spunky!) personality. I am so happy, and so grateful to Ms. Mali – I thank her daily, with true sincerity!

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado at Wikimedia Commons0005

In the fall of 2009, the fourth generation of the model, the Land Cruiser Prado 150, was presented at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. unified parts, as well as a common model designation letter – “J”, but they have different bodies and are equipped with different engines). The word “Prado” in a number of countries is associated with the Rado watch brand and Prada clothing, but it is in Spanish and can be translated as a meadow, a foothill ranch or a place for celebrations.

First generation

Land Cruiser 70 series, also Toyota produced light duty versions that shared the designation with the 70 series from 1985 to 1996. Sold as Bundera or LandCruiser II in some markets, later renamed 70 Prado. Production ended in 1996. The modification went even further from its roots of the 70 series. Since 1997, the Prado was known as the 90 series, and became a small 4×4 truck, with no connection to the 70 series.

Second generation

The “90” family appeared in 1996 and was positioned as the main competitor of the Mitsubishi Pajero. It is believed that the Land Cruiser Prado are the direct successors of classic SUVs, but due to the “urban” appearance and small volumes of 5VZ-FE (gasoline) and 1KZ-TE (turbo diesel) engines, the demand for the SUV was less than expected[ source not specified 617 days

]. The Prado 90 series was the first car of the family to be equipped with an independent front suspension, and the first to be built on a platform shared with the 4Runner model of the N185 series.

In June 1999, the off-road vehicle underwent a restyling, due to the installation of a number of systems, vehicle safety improved, and in July 2000 a new 1KD-FTV diesel engine appeared. The Toyota Prado 90 series was produced only until 2002 in most countries, but in Venezuela this model was produced until 2009 under the name Meru. As a rule, these were configurations without arch extensions and with 5VZ-FE motors.

Complete sets

Prado 90 was produced in 16 complete sets. Of these, 8 are available only for Japan, 3 trims for Australia and 5 trims for the external market. But there are few differences among such a variety: some differed only in the presence of a ladder on the fifth door and a folding table in the luggage compartment.

It is noteworthy that for different markets the name Prado 90 was different. For example, in Switzerland the famous “Pradik” was called Land Cruiser 400, so as not to be confused with the famous Rado watch. In the UK it was called the “Colorado”, while in Colombia and Venezuela it was called the Land Cruiser Mery or Land Cruiser Sumo.

Most configurations have power accessories, ABS, 2 or 4 airbags, air conditioning with a second circuit and a switch for rear passengers. The salon could be both leather and rag, and the interior panels were finished both under wood and in the classic version. Versions with sunroof, cruise control, navigation were also available.

The prudent Japanese left climate control in models only for the domestic market. Later there were anniversary and limited editions for export with this option.

Third generation

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 120 series is built on the same principle as the previous generation, 90 series, that is, based on the Toyota 4Runner platform. Depending on the number of doors, the wheelbase of the 2002 SUV is 2455 or 2790 mm. The five-door Prado 120 series was also produced with three rows of seats. Production ended in 2009year.

The third generation car was equipped with four petrol engines, a naturally aspirated diesel and two types of turbodiesels.

  • 2TR-FE
    – Inline 4-cylinder gasoline, 2.7 liters, VVT-i, 163 hp With. — not supplied to the European market;
  • 3RZ-FE
    – Inline 4-cylinder gasoline, 2. 7 liters, 150 hp With. — not supplied to the European market;
  • 5VZ-FE
    – V-shaped 6-cylinder gasoline, 3.4 liters, 185 hp With. — only with the right steering arrangement for Japan;
  • 1GR-FE
    – V-shaped 6-cylinder gasoline, 4 liters, VVT-i, 249 hp With.
  • 1KD-FTV
    – Inline 4-cylinder 16 valve diesel turbocharged with common rail system, 3 liters, until August 2004 – 163 hp s., since August 2004: 166 liters. With. – for the Japanese market and 173 liters. With. for the European market.
  • 1KZ-TE
    – In-line 4-cylinder 8-valve diesel turbocharged with mechanical injection pump, 3 liters – for Australia, the Middle East, South America.
  • 5L-E
    – Inline 4-cylinder diesel, 3 liters, 95 hp With. – Only for the Middle East market.

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 120 was equipped with both 5-speed manual and automatic 4 and 5-speed gearboxes. The all-wheel drive system is made both according to the permanent all-wheel drive scheme (for Japan, Europe, Russia, Australia) and according to the all-wheel drive scheme (only models with manual transmission with 3RZ and 5L engines for the Middle East). The permanent all-wheel drive version has a Torsen-type center differential that distributes power between the front and rear axles in a ratio of 40% to 60%. If necessary, the Torsen differential can be locked to improve flotation. The front suspension of the SUV is independent, the rear is dependent, spring, continuous axle. Prado 2002 model year, with some changes, was also produced as the Lexus GX.

On-road and off-road behavior

Prado Shorty performance has been reduced to create an easy-to-handle model. The motor does not have high power, which is why the SUV loses its cross-country ability. Owners note increased light handling when driving on the highway. Ride quality is ideal for driving in the city. Thanks to its reduced dimensions, the jeep has the maneuverability that provides comfort in urban environments.

Technical characteristics allow the shorty to cope with road obstructions. Despite the power output, the new combination of front and rear suspension has kept the reputation of a reliable off-roader alive.

Fourth generation

The J150 was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in autumn 2009, shortly after the world debut of the new Prado. As before, the SUV is supplied to the European market as the Land Cruiser, model year 2010.

Land Cruiser Prado 150 is built on a modernized 120 series platform, with the same wheelbase (2790 mm) as its predecessor, due to a bulkier body, the modern off-road vehicle has increased external dimensions. The spar supporting frame was reinforced to increase the bending rigidity of the structure. Three engines are available on the Russian market – a 1KD-FTV turbodiesel with a capacity of 173 hp. With. and, having received the Dual-VVT-i system, the gasoline 1GR-FE, the maximum power of which has increased to 282 hp. With. It also has a 2.7L petrol engine. Later, a 1GD-FTV turbodiesel with a volume of 2.8 liters and a power of 177 hp appeared. with., and diesel 1KD-FTV with a capacity of 190 hp was supplied only to the European market.

As on the previous, 120th, Prado J150 has a permanent all-wheel drive in a ratio of 40×60 axes, in some modifications of the SUV, the Multi-Terrain System is available, which adjusts the suspension to certain surface conditions (4 modes are provided: stones, gravel, snow, viscous mud). Differential locks are provided – the central and rear axles. Gearboxes – 5-speed manual gearbox, 4-speed automatic transmission (only for the 2.7l engine) 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shifting. With the new engines, a six-speed automatic transmission began to be used.

The 2010 Prado is only available as a five-door version in most markets, there are 7-seat 3rd row electric folding seats, however, they are only available in the maximum configuration. The elegans package includes elements such as rain and light sensors, a 9-speaker audio system, keyless entry and start systems, parking sensors and a rear-view camera. Since 2012 it has been produced in Russia in Vladivostok [1]. Restyled in 2013. Since 2014, it has not been produced in Vladivostok, but the possibility of resuming production is not ruled out.

Unification with other Toyota vehicles

As an independent model, the Land Cruiser Prado took shape only in the third generation, and therefore has a significant number of unified components and parts with adjacent cars in the model range: Hilux (and its varieties) in the economy segment and Land Cruiser in the premium segment. Starting from the third generation, reverse unification also took place: nodes developed for Prado are also installed on adjacent models.

Engines. Prado received almost the entire range of engines used on the Hilux – these are 2.7-liter 3RZ, 2TR gasoline and 3-liter diesel engines: 5L-E (atmospheric), 1KZ-TE (turbocharged with mechanical injection pump) and 1KD-FTV (turbo common rail). Later, when the 4-liter 1GR-FE appeared on the Prado, it began to be installed on the Hilux.

Transmissions. All three cars are equipped with the same set of gearboxes and transfer cases. These are mechanical five-speed gearboxes with Part-Time transfer boxes, mechanical six-speed with Full-Time transfer boxes, automatic four-speed (A343F, A340F), five-speed (A750F), six-speed (A761F, A960F).

Brake system. Prado brake systems with 2RZ, 2TR, 5L-E engines are unified with Hilux (vacuum brake booster, separate ABS unit). Prado brake systems with 1KZ-TE, 1KD-FTV, 1GR-FE engines are unified with Land Cruiser (electro-hydraulic brake booster in a single unit with the master brake cylinder and the ABS/TRC/VSC unit).

Suspension. Cars have many unified wheel suspension units. In the Prado, the maximum configuration (starting from the third generation) uses Land Cruiser air suspension, and starting from the fourth generation, the KDSS system is also from Land Cruiser.

Electrical equipment. All three vehicles have unified electrical equipment. They have the same sets of alternators, starters, the same types of paddle shifters. Cars have unified engine control units, automatic transmission, all-wheel drive transmission, passive safety system. The Land Cruiser Prado in the maximum configuration received from the Land Cruiser a multimedia and navigation system, an electronic suspension control system, a power seat system, a sunroof, a security system, and a keyless entry system.

Good reviews from owners about Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 90

At one time, in 1997, there was a need for a reliable, trouble-free and powerful SUV for work. With the Internet and reviews then it was problematic, but various auto-reviews in magazines were common. Having gathered information from magazines and, after talking with competent people, we chose the Cruiser. Studying the offers of dealers and what they had in stock, we settled on one of the Moscow salons. Upon arrival, the manager and I went to the parking lot to get acquainted with the chosen car (the budget was somewhat limited). In this scenario, the result was a variant with a vinyl interior, steel rims, without expanders, with a standard radio and a manually pulled out antenna. Not spoiled then by comfortable cars, I was glad about that. But my curiosity got the better of me and I told my guide to open the rest of the Cruisers. We, studying car after car, moved to the far corner. Getting out of the next car I studied, I saw in the corner what I was going to sculpt in the end from that semi-finished product that was originally chosen for purchase. My heart beat a little faster and I, fearing that it would already be a VX equipment (only a piece of a car was visible), nevertheless asked the seller a question, who said that it was a GX and named the price. The price was a little out of the budget (it was initially agreed with the head about 53 thousand greens, and this one cost about 56 thousand greens). Without losing hope, I immediately requested an inspection of this particular device. When we approached it, I immediately began to note for myself the benefits that we would get by acquiring HIM, and not the one that we initially chose:

  • With the fender flares, we would have to change the bumpers too! Because in the configurations that come from the factory without expanders, the bumper is obviously set less wide and when installing the expanders in the place where the expander and the bumper meet, the expander sticks out about one and a half centimeters, or even all two . .. Ugly.
  • Immediately, the regular aluminum steps immediately caught my eye, which were not on that car and which would also have had to be installed (and we did not count them then).
  • Getting into the car… The interior is no longer vinyl, but cloth. Somehow it is more pleasant to the eye and to the touch, and it is more pleasant to sit on fabric seats …
  • Not the simplest and cheapest radio with indistinct speakers, but at the very least a simple radio receiver with more or less tolerable speakers.
  • You don’t have to drag the antenna with your hands, as it used to be in the 70s on a penny 🙂 For this, a button for the antenna has already been installed in this package.

Having noted all the arguments for myself, I called the decision maker (decision maker). The man was in a great mood and almost immediately gave the go-ahead. I was happy and “digging the earth with my hoof”, wanting to pick up the Cruiser as soon as possible.

Finally, I’m driving. My heart is full of joy!!! Until that moment, I had never ridden SUVs (I somehow immediately forgot the UAZ in the army), I plunged headlong into the study of this handsome man. I started the engine and for the first couple of minutes I enjoyed the sound of the engine with my eyes closed. It kind of reminded me of the sound of the surf. It is the sound of waves crashing on the shore … Not a growl or rumbling, but the sound of the surf. Satisfied with the first sounds, I carefully (absolutely unusual dimensions for me then) left the site and headed for St. Petersburg. Since it still had to be run in, I overclocked it to 120 only a couple of times and then a little bit. Until that moment, driving, in principle, only passenger cars, at first I tried to go around every even the smallest dimple on the road, but as I approached St. Petersburg, I simply began to forget about these dimples and other bumps on the road, tk. with every kilometer I got more and more experience from communicating with this all-terrain vehicle.

Now let’s move on to a more mature Toyota driving experience, after 2 years of experience with it and after driving about 100,000 km.

The history of the creation of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado lineup

Four generations of the Prado is an example of how the desire not to yield to a competitor has created one of the most popular cars of our time.

Contents of the article:

Beginning

In the 1920s, Toyota produced weaving machines, and by the end of the century it became the most popular car manufacturer in Japan: half of the Japanese owned cars of this brand.

But the car industry of the Land of the Rising Sun did not stand still: the giant had more and more competitors. In addition to Toyota, the foreign market was mastered by Mitsubishi, Nissan and other companies. SUVs first enjoyed great popularity in the 80s: they were much less heavy and massive than the Land Cruiser. Not wanting to put up with this state of affairs, Toyota released Light Duty – a lightweight version of TLC.

The Light Duty entered the market in 1984. Very soon the model was renamed the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, starting a new milestone in the history of the Japanese automobile industry.

Solid axle cars were equipped with 2.4 and 2.7 liter petrol engines or 2.4, 2.8 and 3.0 diesel engines. Transmission – 5 steps manual or 4 automatic. 3- and 5-door versions were produced.

Second generation

In 1996, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 90 rolled off the assembly line, the second generation of off-road vehicles declared a direct competitor to Mitsubishi. The latter was much more comfortable and lighter than the 70th, which did not have the best effect on TLC sales. The new Prado was created to remedy this situation.

But the designers were ahead of their time: the car seemed too “urban” to people. The SUV did not have the usual chopped forms and external aggressiveness, besides, it was low-powered: the maximum engine capacity is only 3. 4 liters (for comparison, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has 5.2, the Chevrolet Suburban has 5.7 and 7.2). But the unpretentiousness and high cross-country ability of the car, complemented by driving comfort, overshadowed these shortcomings: sales were much higher than those of the 70th.

The 90th is built on the third generation Toyota 4Runner platform: 2.7 and 3.4 liter petrol engines, 4-speed automatic transmission are borrowed from it. Prado 90 was the first car in its family with independent front suspension.

Restyling in 1999 significantly improved the security system. In 2000, the manufacturer offered a 3.0-liter diesel engine for an SUV.

Third generation

2002 added a new model to the history of the Land Cruiser Prado: the second generation was replaced by the Prado 120.

When creating the third generation of the SUV, Toyota decided not to abandon the line it had begun: the 120 became even more streamlined. The imposingness of the car was given by considerable dimensions: the SUV, in comparison with its ancestor, “grew” by 20 cm in height and 7 in length. Ground clearance became a little lower – 220 mm. The design was first developed not in Japan, but in the European division of the company.

The variety of engines was also increased: 4 petrol and 3 diesel variants were offered for the model. Russia imported a 4-liter gasoline with 249 horsepower and a 3-liter diesel with 163 and 173 horsepower. Transmission automatic (4 or 5 steps) or mechanical (5 steps). Off-road vehicles supplied to the Russian Federation had front-wheel drive. The rear suspension has become pneumatic, shock absorbers – adaptive.

Prado 120 can be considered a pioneer: this car was the first to be equipped with hill-climb and hill-descent assistance, traction control and suspension control.

In 2005, another innovation that has now become a hallmark and a headache for Land Cruiser owners: the spare wheel “moved” under the bottom of the SUV.

Fourth generation

The fourth and current generation of the Prado was introduced in 2009 in Frankfurt. The old body of the Land Cruiser Prado has undergone major modifications: it has become even more massive and stable.

The Russian market was offered 4 versions of the engine: 2.7 and 3-liter petrol and 2.8 and 3-liter diesel engines. The four-wheel drive was borrowed from the 120th TLC (it became the platform for the Prado 150), but in luxury modifications it became possible to adjust the suspension. Transmission automatic (4-6 steps) or mechanical (5 or 6 steps).

In 2013 and 2017, the car was modified. The first restyling changed the optics and grille, improved the interior of the Prado. The second touched exclusively on the appearance of the car.

This SUV was the first and only Toyota car produced in Russia. Prado 150 was assembled in Vladivostok using parts sent from Japan. The project was closed after 2 years: the demand for SUVs was not high enough to support such an expensive project.

Specifications

Given the fierce competition in the domestic and international market, Toyota has constantly upgraded the Prado, over and over again bypassing its competitors.

The Middle East, Latin America, Australia, Europe were offered their own modifications of cars. The table shows the technical characteristics of the machines supplied to the Russian market.

Representatives of the company do not even give approximate dates for the release of the new model range. According to insiders, the fifth generation will be presented in 2020. While the cars are being restyled, remaining in their usual bodies.

Toyota is the best selling car brand in the world. Affordable price, Japanese quality and excellent reputation have helped them to maintain a leading position since 2012.

The new 180th Prado will open a new chapter in the history of the legendary brand.
