Lorrie is truly a blessing. She is more than a nanny- she is a part of our family! Lorrie started working with our family when my daughter was about 3 months old. At that time my husband and I were both working80+ hours per week with odd hours in the medical field during a pandemic but thanks to Lorrie we NEVER have had to worry about the care of our daughter. True to her extensive nursing background she logs how many dirty diapers, bottles/ounces each day, and she easily handled the added complications/responsibilities associated with our daughter’s hip harness. She even helped make sure my daughter’s weight stayed on track! She is punctual and always prepared. More than that – Lorrie is sweet and loving to our baby girl who has thrived under her care! We look forward to spending more time with Lorrie but know she will be a blessing to any family who gets the chance to work with her. Thank you Lorrie!…

We have a nearby church playground which is only separated from our house by a nice grassy area which we also use for play and picnics.

Inside I have new carpet! Lots of books for story time and play time, puzzles, blocks, balls for all ages and dishes with 2 play kitchens. Music cds with nursery rhymes and fun dancing music. We have coloring books dry erase boards and play dough. These are just some of the things that are available to the children each day.

I have pack- n- plays and toddler cots. Each child has their own every day.

I also am very equipped with items needed for infants swings, bouncy seat, excer-saucers and just about anything need for infant ages.

Philosophy:

I believe in a playful, healthy, safe, loving, and respectful environment so that the children will have the greatest opportunity to develop physically and mentally.

I strive to create an environment that is personable, affectionate, encouraging and enriching to support all learning and growing opportunities. One must understand the way that children learn. The 1st step for any child is trust. It is important for the children to learn to socialize effectively, learn to share and to be kind. They all learn at different paces. They need to develop a good self-esteem. A good self-esteem is so important for the rest of their lives. They also have a great need for independence.

I believe in structure, so they stay on a routine every day. I offer a small group and a home atmosphere. It is safe and soothing and is very relaxing to them and they can get the one on one attention that they need. At their young age I feel this is so very important! However, I do also believe at about age 4 its important to expose them to a larger group that is more comparable to a kindergarten setting so they are ready for school.

It is also easier to control germs and the sicknesses that are almost impossible to control in a larger group setting.

I feel it is also important to have on a daily basis the same adult figure to rely on.

I am also careful with my selection of families and children that I bring into my home. To ensure the safety and well-being of others a non-aggressive demeanor is required.

Registration & Tuition:

Fees are to be paid in advance on Fridays for the following week’s services.

I only require a deposit if I need to hold a spot open for a child for a while. Deposits are to guarantee your placement in my facility and are not refundable.

Payments are due on Mon or the first day your child is in care.

In the kindergarten “Bobrenok” in the Leninsky urban district of the Moscow region, plaster collapsed on children during a quiet hour, RBC was told in the Main Investigative Committee of the ICR in the region. Three children were injured: one of them was hospitalized, two received medical assistance on the spot, the department added.

The prosecutor’s office of the region clarified that the emergency occurred in a kindergarten located on Krymskaya Street in the village of Bobrovo. The Vidnovskaya city prosecutor’s office and the Main Investigative Committee of the ICR for the Moscow Region are conducting an investigation into this fact.

The Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region noted that doctors examined three kindergarten students. “Two of them did not require hospitalization, they were released home under observation at home by the doctors of the polyclinic. Another child was hospitalized in a medical institution subordinate to the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region, in a satisfactory condition. who will pay and who is responsible for the safety of children

My daughter is three years old. In the kindergarten, a boy pushed her – she fell unsuccessfully and hit her finger hard on something. The result is a blue finger and a peeled nail.

The teacher called us and asked to pick up the child. She said that she showed it to the kindergarten nurse, but it was of no use. We signed up at the polyclinic with the surgeon ourselves and waited for an appointment for two weeks.

Was the scenario correct? Shouldn’t the garden have called a doctor? If not, do I have the right not to wait for a doctor for two weeks, but to immediately sign up for a paid clinic, and at the expense of the parents of the child who harmed my health?

How should things proceed in such cases?

Olga Makeeva

lawyer

Author’s profile

If a child is injured in kindergarten, the kindergarten is responsible. And it doesn’t matter if he suffered because of another child or accidentally harmed himself.

I will tell you what educators and parents are obliged to do in such cases, and in which case the kindergarten should not compensate for the harm caused. All information in this article applies to public and private kindergartens, schools, hospitals and camps.

Who is responsible for the safety of the child

By default, parents are responsible for the health and upbringing of children. But when they bring the child to kindergarten, they temporarily transfer their duties to the teacher. From the moment the child is in his group, the educator is responsible for his life, health and development.

Part 6 28 of the Law “On Education”

paragraph 8, part 1, art. 41 of the Law “On Education”

Parents expect that the child will be safe in kindergarten: he will not be poisoned, will not fall and will not be injured in a fight. It is the duty of the kindergarten to provide safe conditions for education, supervision and care. In addition to the law, this is usually enshrined in the charter of the garden and in the agreement that parents enter into with an educational institution. You pay the parental fee to the kindergarten just for supervision and care. Simply put, educators receive a salary, including for ensuring that nothing happens to your child.

Even if a child slowly walked along the corridor, stumbled out of the blue, fell badly and hurt his nose, then the teacher is guilty according to the law. And even more so if one child hit another – here the teacher did not keep track of two children at once. The fault of the educator means insufficient supervision of children, lack of attention, and in some cases negligence.

What should be in a safe kindergarten and school

This does not mean that you need to demand compensation from the kindergarten for every scratch. Parents know that sometimes it is impossible to prevent bruises and bruises, even if the caregiver were to keep a close eye on one child. But it is necessary to know your rights in such cases.

What a kindergarten should do in case of a child injury cases, which governs the activities of the kindergarten if a child has been harmed.

Accidents are injuries, including those caused by another person, poisoning, burns, etc.

First of all, the teacher must notify the head of the educational organization – the head of the kindergarten or another person authorized by her.

The manager must act in the following order:

  1. Immediately organize first aid for the child. If necessary, take him to the hospital. If there is a nurse in the garden, the manager must show the child to her. Educators can only provide first aid if they have special training.
  2. If necessary, call an ambulance. If, when examining a child by ambulance doctors, it turns out that he needs to be taken to a hospital, and the parents are not around yet, the kindergarten employee must accompany the child to the medical facility.
  3. Take immediate action to prevent other children from being injured. For example, if a child falls into a hole, then this hole must be closed immediately.
  4. Record the situation for an accident investigation: draw a diagram, photograph or videotape the scene.
  5. Eliminate the causes of the accident. For example, instruct the janitor to close or fill up the pit.
  6. Report the incident to parents and the Department of Education.
  7. Organize an accident investigation. An investigation is mandatory if, due to damage to health, the victim missed at least one day, became seriously ill or died.

item 11 part 1 art. 41 of the Law “On Education”

Kindergartens may have internal documents on how educators and leaders should act in case of a child’s injury. They must be requested from the manager.

/life/kindergarten/

What parents of kindergarteners are entitled to

What parents should do if their child is injured in kindergarten

If a child is injured in kindergarten, the kindergarten administration must be responsible. In legal language, this is called the presumption of guilt of the kindergarten, and in everyday language it means that the kindergarten is considered guilty until proven otherwise. The fault in this case is the lack of necessary supervision of children.

There is only one exception to this rule: if the kindergarten staff proves that the harm was not their fault. For example, a child was injured in another place, when his parents had already taken him away and he left the territory of the garden.

Your daughter was bruised when both she and the boy who pushed her were under supervision of the kindergarten staff. This means that the kindergarten must compensate for the damage. Personally, the educator does not compensate for the harm.

Art. 1068 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation

You have the right to two compensations:

  1. Material damage, that is, the cost of treatment. This includes, for example, paid doctor’s consultations, tests, examinations, medicines, taxi rides to and from the hospital, rehabilitation items. The most important thing is that these expenses are justified and confirmed by receipts, and that medicines and medical devices are prescribed by a doctor.
  2. Non-pecuniary damage – the amount in which you evaluate your feelings due to an accident.

You could immediately take the child to a paid doctor. Then write a claim addressed to the manager and demand compensation for the costs of treatment and moral damage – at your discretion. The application can be written in free form, and photocopies of checks and a doctor’s report can be attached to it.

The next step, if the manager does not respond to the claim or refuses, is to go to court with a claim for damages. This will require the assistance of a lawyer.

/call-my-lawyer/

How to find a good lawyer

Of course, you don’t need to run to court with every scratch or demand compensation for the cost of greenery. I describe the sequence of actions according to the law, and the expediency and appropriateness of each step in one case or another must be assessed by parents.

It doesn’t make sense to confront the parents of a child who pushed or hit your daughter. If it happened on a playground or in a mall, yes. In kindergarten, the kindergarten is responsible for all children. Even if this is an aggressive child who hits everyone in a row, there are no legal methods to exclude him from the group.

Eyewitnesses told about a projectile that arrived at a kindergarten in Donbass

Disturbing news is coming from the Donbass – another aggravation on the line of demarcation. Mutual shelling led to the fact that in the morning a shell flew into the wall of a kindergarten in one of the villages.

Photo: facebook.com

“The teacher called. The windows rattle in the garden. Now they are sitting with the children in the corridor, where the lockers are, ”witnesses of the incident report. Fortunately, there were no casualties: a shell hit a brick wall early in the morning, when the children were still at home. According to other information, the children were already in the building, but miraculously did not suffer.

Meanwhile, local residents in the telegram channel “Typical Donetsk” identified the institution from photographs. As it turned out, we are talking about kindergarten-nursery No. 21 “Kazka”. It is located in the village of Luhanska, controlled by Ukraine. “They fired on themselves,” “Provocation by the Ukrainian armed forces,” people write in the comments. There are speculations about the staged shelling: “This is a pre-prepared fake. Look at the completely intact glasses in the outer photo and the neatly arranged balls on the shelves. With such arrivals, this does not happen”

Photos of a building that are indeed identical in shape, color and windows have already appeared on the Web. After the shelling, the premises of the nursery look terrible, the entire floor is littered with fragments and bricks, and the wall, in which there is a gaping hole, looks like an emergency and can lead to collapse. The kindergarten cannot continue to work with such damage, what will happen to the children until it is decided.

In recent days, provocations in the Donbas have been gaining momentum: this morning there were reports of shelling of Gorlovka, as well as some areas of Donetsk: “Donetsk continues to make noise.” Against this background, the fall of the hryvnia and the ruble intensified. We continue to monitor the situation, which remains tense at the moment.
