A three-year-old child from the Rostov region was on the verge of life and death after a fall in a kindergarten
The girl’s parents turned to the police

Alexander and Yulia Frolov, the parents of Sophia, who attended the kindergarten “Firefly” until that terrible day, which even now, when they remember, terrifies them, turned to Notepad.
Sophia Frolova is only 3 years old, she attends the kindergarten “Svetlyachok” in the city of Volgodonsk for the second year. The girl’s parents say that there have never been any complaints against the teachers. Sensitive, sympathetic and loving children, two teachers were completely satisfied. But at some point, due to a shortage of personnel, only one permanent teacher remained in Sonya’s group, who worked in one of the shifts, different kindergarten teachers began to come in turn to the second shift, who were constantly changing. On November 24, 2022, an event took place in the kindergarten, which the Frolovs still remember with horror. They called and said that an ambulance had come to Sonechka, their child was in serious condition.
– When I arrived at the kindergarten, the ambulance was already there, they tried to measure the child’s blood pressure, but they couldn’t do it because she had a strong heartbeat.
She was pale, the nasolabial triangle was blue. We were taken to the intensive care unit, and on the way, the child began to have convulsions. We rode with an oxygen mask, I personally held it. We entered the intensive care unit, after some time they raised the vital signs to normal. The fact is that the child even had a low temperature of about 35 degrees.
The kindergarten began to put pressure on epilepsy, they announced to everyone that their daughter had epilepsy, and it was not their fault in the incident. But in our family no one suffers from epilepsy, the child had no signs of epilepsy before. And how can a teacher make such a diagnosis? – the girl’s mother Yulia Frolova is indignant.
On November 24, 2022, a three-year-old girl from the Svetlyachok kindergarten in the city of Volgodonsk was taken to the intensive care unit of the emergency hospital in an ambulance in a serious condition
in Rostov for a consultation with an epileptologist and a three-hour electroencephalogram was performed, the doctor assured me that there was no question of epilepsy in Sophia’s case.
The neurologist, to whom the Frolovs turned, confirmed the absence of epilepsy. Presumably there was a “single convulsive syndrome”. As a result of the fall, the girl received a painful shock, and her body reacted in this way. And the fact that at the moment of severe pain no one spared the girl could increase her fear and also provoke a worsening of her condition.
Immediately after the incident, Sophia’s mother did not want to stir up a fuss and make a scandal, but the attitude of the head of the kindergarten, Larisa Lebedeva, caused indignation among the girl’s parents. None of them blame the teacher for the girl’s fall. Children fall. But, being in a kindergarten, the parents are sure that the child should be under the close supervision of the teacher, and if something happens to him, the teacher should not ignore it, and there must be a connection with the parents. And if this was not the case, it means that, in their opinion, this is, first of all, the lack of control on the part of the leadership.

Mom admitted that she was afraid for her daughter. After all, nothing has changed in the preschool since then. Constantly changing caregivers in a group with three-year-old children is not a favorable practice even from the point of view of child psychology. Unfamiliar aunts do not inspire confidence in kids. And if the educators treat them without special attention, then going to kindergarten turns into the forced presence of the child in the children’s team while the parents are at work. The Frolovs filed a complaint with the police, they believe that the kindergarten management is pursuing the wrong policy both in terms of castling teachers and in terms of monitoring children, not to mention the lack of feedback from parents.
