Servicing the Lake Underhill area, Ladybird Academy® of Lake Underhill is located within the Legacy Place medical park off Lake Underhill Road in Orlando, Florida. The center is conveniently located near Florida Hospital, Lockheed Martin, major highways 417, 408 and State Road 436 and many local elementary schools.
Meet Our Director
Ms. Noreka (Center Director) has over ten years of experience in the childcare industry and has worked in various roles in teaching and administration. She was even a teacher in one of our two-year-old rooms at one point. In 2021, she rejoined the Ladybird Academy family as the Director for Ladybird Academy Lake Underhill. Ms. Noreka holds a Florida Director’s Credential, a National Child Development Associates, and is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Her experiences have provided her with a wealth of knowledge and perspective of what is vital to provide a quality learning and nurturing environment in a quality educational childcare center. Her goal is to be a visible director that will actively work with students, staff and families while providing continued excellence in our program.
Ms. Jennifer (Executive Director) was born and raised in Winter Park, Florida and now resides with her husband, 3 children and a house full of animals in East Orlando near Avalon Park.
Early Childhood Education has been a lifelong passion of Jennifer’s as she began babysitting at a young age and obtained her first childcare position in a licensed center as a Junior in High School. She obtained an Associate degree in Early Childhood Development & Education and then continued her education at the University of Central Florida where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Minor in Leadership Studies. Ms. Jennifer also holds a Childcare Staff Credential, an Advanced Director’s Credential, as well as a Florida Teaching Certification. Ms. Jennifer has been serving as a Director and leader at Ladybird Academy Lake Underhill since 2012.
