.. but the movie is cruel, not nervous to watch. Drama…
The film tells the story of a carpenter Inman from North Carolina and Ada, the daughter of Reverend Monroe, who lived near the town of Cold Mountain. The film was based on the novel of the same name by Charles Fraser and was nominated for seven Oscars.
Director: Anthony Minghella. The film starred Jude Law, Nicole Kidman, Renee Zellweger, as well as Philip Seymour Hoffman, Natalie Portman, Donald Sutherland.
Joint production of UK, Italy, Romania and USA.
The events of love develop during the war between the North and the South. American Confederate deserter Inman is tired of fighting and is trying to get home from the front line to Cold Mountain (North Carolina), where he left his beloved Ada. Various bastard sheriffs roam the forests with their gangs, who hang deserters and fuck their brides … But in the eyes of the audience, the deserter will become a hero.
Ada is trying to survive among the freaks that visit her farm.
Ruby, a tramp, helps her with the basics of housekeeping. The girls are not a miss, they shoot no worse than the men, but in real life, I think they could not survive.
There are many cynical scenes in the film, where they play on the mother’s love for children, kill and torture. All this evil at the end of the film will, of course, be punished, but, judging by the film, there were so many scoundrels in the USA that even dynamite would not have been enough for everyone, let alone bullets.
If the book can be called a tear-squeezing book for women, then the film is rather unisex. It is without shades of gray – everything is contrasting, black or white.
The film is as strong as a picture and episodes, like a patchwork quilt. Every single episode is amazing! But together they were brought together somehow not very talented. In addition, in the cinema, the trouble is with music. Minor ballads, in country style, are somehow lost behind the picture, as if they never existed.
And the trouble is with humor, except that black is present.
I was going to write a review of this movie for a long time, but I still couldn’t get my hands on it, but then I reviewed it … snatched Oscars from other stars. Colorful, yet sexy and tough and tender at the same time.
As I already wrote, there are cruel scenes in the film, life in those days was not sugar. Fascists are kids in bralettes compared to those bastards. At the end of the film, not everyone died, the movie ends with a relatively positive scene, otherwise it could not be in America…)))
The mountain scenes were filmed in Romania. In this regard, a number of critics expressed dissatisfaction with landscapes that bear little resemblance to real Appalachians. Infa film partially (C) Internet

★ Spend a perfect fall day at Aw Shucks Farm in North Carolina ★

Now that autumn has finally arrived, it’s time to celebrate the season by heading to the pumpkin patch. But Oh Damn! The Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Monroe is nothing more than a regular farm. In fact, there is so much to do here, you can plan to come for an hour but end up staying for a whole day !

Probably the most popular part of Aw Shucks! The farm is their amazing corn maze that changes themes every year. Whether you’re visiting during the daytime or wandering around at night by flashlight, the maze is fun for people of all ages, and it usually takes about 25 minutes to complete.

When you’re done with the maze, there’s still a lot of work to do on the farm. Kids will love the play area, which includes a treehouse, a fort, slides, a mini hay maze, and even a giant chair to climb on! He then heads to the animal barn, where they can see goats, pigs, sheep, rabbits, turkeys, and horses and may even be able to feed them.

For adults, Pumpkin Market offers a wide selection of produce, pumpkins, Indian corn, pumpkins and other local produce. While the old fashioned general store will take you back in time with vintage candy, toys and unique gifts like goat milk soap and local honey.

You can wear nostalgia by walking into a 1950s Soda Shop and sitting at the counter to enjoy a homemade ice cream sandwich, a frosty milkshake or a pop of soda. Or, if you’re craving something more than dessert, check out Good Eats Restaurant, which serves all sorts of Southern dishes like hot dogs, corn dogs, double-decker fried cheese, Yeohu corn chip pie, and sweet tea.

If you visit Aw Shucks! at night, be sure to call ahead and reserve a fire pit for you, your family or friends. They will provide everything you need, including benches, tables, fried sticks, pans, and even an assistant to keep the fire going.
