WELCOME TO OAK STREET

Oak Street Child Development Center (OSCDC) was established in 1991 to provide quality childcare to local children. OSCDC is a certified early childhood education and childcare center for infant, toddler, preschool and pre-kinderdarten age children. Busy Barn, Inc. (Parent Association for OSCDC) and Center Director, Cindy Bellamy, work together to provide a safe, enriching and educational environment for your children to flourish and grow. We are proud of our accomplishments and the reputation for quality that we have earned. We are located in an exciting downtown location, and have several fun events scheduled throughout the year. We welcome all families and children to visit our center.

Oak Streets current hours of operation are Monday- Friday 7am-6 pm. In the case of Inclement weather our policy is: Oak Street Child Development Center will operate from 9am to 4pm if 4J Schools are delayed or closed.

When it’s adventure time the kids hop on the Oak Street Bus. The bus has car seats for the children to sit in safely , and spots for the teachers as well. Its a fun time riding in the bus and we are so happy adventures are back!

Every other month we do scholastic orders for families who are interested in purchasing books for their children. Every other month parents receive a scholastic flyer along with a paper that has our classroom code and the order due date. Scholastic is a great way to encourage your child to read as well as earn free books for the children to enjoy at school! Each parent order (using our classroom code) earns Oak Street Child Development Center points toward free books and other Scholastic rewards.

MAYOR OF IRKUTSK MET THE MAYOR OF YUGINA Oregon (USA) led by Mayor Kitty Piercy.

According to Vladimir Yakubovsky, twinning relations between Irkutsk and Eugene were officially established on 1988: “Our relationship is 19 years old. The head of the city executive committee of Irkutsk, Yuri Shkuropat, visited Eugene in 1988, at the same time an agreement was signed. During this time, we have been visiting each other’s durgas more than once, we have solved many important issues in the field of healthcare, education, and culture. Some of the problems were solved through the Rotary Club, which, by the way, was created in Irkutsk as the second among Russian cities after Moscow. I think it’s time to be more specific about building relationships.”

Ms. Kitty Piercy said she feels at home in Irkutsk: “We were warmly welcomed here. Mayor Eugene was greatly impressed by his visit to the City Clinical Hospital No. 1 – “there is a very modern equipment and a highly professional team.”

The official delegation of the city of Eugene will be in Irkutsk until August 29th. During this time, she will visit school No. 47, gymnasium No. 2, a kindergarten, an orphanage. The delegation will also visit a number of enterprises in Irkutsk – a hydroelectric power station and a bakery. At the end of the program, an excursion along the Circum-Baikal Railway is planned.

Recall that the delegation includes Betty Taylor – a member of the City Council of Eugene, Galina Groza – President of the Committee of Sister Cities of Eugene-Irkutsk, David Piercy – Deputy Head of School Institutions of Eugene. The purpose of the visit is to discuss the prospects and directions for further cooperation between the cities of Irkutsk and Eugene. From 19For 88 years, there has been constant cooperation between Irkutsk and Eugene: exchanges of official delegations, groups of schoolchildren and students to meet foreign peers and establish friendly contacts, creative teams to promote Russian culture in the United States, delegations of doctors to improve their skills and study advanced medical technologies, businessmen to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with American colleagues.
