Open a Micro Preschool in Your Community!

Theory® is a preschool franchise specializing in creating small, safe, beautiful spaces and magical experiences for children through methods and curriculum based in neuroscience. Our philosophy and curriculum is purely our own, developed right here in the USA in 2006. Our franchisees benefit from our unique business model, allowing them to be successful even in the most questionable of economic times. Why Theory®? Theory Preschools is unlike any other preschool franchise on the market. *Educational Neuroscience Theory Preschools methods and philosophies are unique in that they apply brain research to classroom practice. Educational Neuroscience takes into consideration the development of our brains and guides us as educators on how to ensure the attention of our students and the retention of the knowledge we share with them. Educational Neuroscience employs strategies involving bringing novelty, humor, music, movement and even much needed down-time into our daily routines with our students. It allows us to work with children in alignment with their circadian rhythms, creating a learning experience catered to each child’s mental, physical and developmental needs. *Circuit Theory Method™ At Theory Preschools children experience a variety of subject matters throughout their day. This novelty feeds their minds in just the right way, allowing them to store & utilize new information. We call it Circuit Theory Education.™ *Circuit Theory Education™ is our proprietary approach to early education, based in Educational Neuroscience, that divides learning experiences into separate but related events, creating a complete “circuit” of new information being presented to the young learner. Through this method, children expereince reading, writing, listening, speaking, science, social science, history, math, visual arts, music, theater, and dance. *Safe and Secure Building and Playground Design The Theory® building is designed to safely deliver our curriculum and methods with simplicity and beauty. Stepping into a Theory Preschool® you will see incredible light-filled spaces, living plants in each classroom, and furnishings designed especially for Theory that move and flow with each unique learning experience. Outside you will find a nature-based playground and classrooms for children to explore and for teachers to utilize throughout the day with the children in their care. We are the ONLY micro preschool franchise, making it easier to safely maintain your building and keep your staff and students well. *Achieve Work-Life Balance In addition to building an amazing business, a Theory Preschool® franchise can also help you achieve an incredible work-life balance. As a Theory Preschool® franchisee you will: °Only work during the week, leaving evenings and weekends free. °Enjoy the ability to eventually hand the reins to a trained Director and/or manager to handle the daily operations of your school, leaving you free to interact with your customers and market your school. °Be able to bring your children and/or grandchildren to work with you (a preschool is a VERY family-friendly business). °Have the opportunity to earn residual income with our multiple location business model. When you join Theory Preschools® as a franchisee, you become a part of the Theory family. Join us and bring learning methods and philosophies based in science to your community. Trump’s housing problem. Why Neighbors Want to Evict a Former US President

Neighbors don’t want Trump to live at his Mar-o-Lago club

Neighbors want to stop Trump from using his club as a permanent residence -President Pence and his family, after leaving Washington, were completely left without a fixed place of residence.

That Donald Trump has no right to permanently reside in the territory of his private club “Mar-o-Lago” and must find new housing in the near future, several lawyers representing the interests of the former president’s neighbors said this week USA in Palm Beach, Florida.

“We believe that Mar-o-Lago can become a place that will consistently attract its most violent and lawless supporters,” attorney Philip Johnston, speaking on behalf of the public organization, said during a special city council meeting. Save Palm Beach, a historic preservation agency.

Lawyer Reginald Stumbo, who represents several of the ex-president’s neighbors, recalled that in recent years, due to Trump’s frequent visits to his club, residents of fashionable Palm Beach have faced street closures, traffic jams, the closure of the local airport and unprecedented security measures. According to the lawyer, his clients fear that the transformation of a private club into a permanent residence of Trump will lead to a marked decrease in property prices.

“Palm Beach has a lot of great homes for sale and I’m sure he can find something that suits his needs,” said Stumbo’s lawyer.

The main argument of the lawyers, however, was the agreement signed by Trump with the city authorities back in 1993. According to this document, the future president undertook not to use the club as his permanent residence.

Which agreement did Trump violate?

Trump bought the Mar-o-Lago estate in Florida in 1985 for $10 million. The house, built in the center of the estate in the late 1920s, was considered the second largest in the state of Florida, with 58 bedrooms, 33 toilets and three bomb shelters.

In 1980 the building was declared a historical monument.

According to Post’s will, in 1973 the estate was transferred to the ownership of the US federal government, but the authorities in Washington considered the costs of its maintenance too burdensome, and eight years later returned the gift to the heirs of the first owner.

The End of the Story Podcast

After long negotiations, the estate, which had not been occupied for many years, was bought by Donald Trump as a private residence, and almost immediately began to rebuild it. The home has been expanded with a nearly 2,000-square-foot ballroom, additional rooms, a tennis court, and an outdoor pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Later, a golf club was added to the estate.

After a series of bankruptcies in the early 1990s, the future president tried to sell the estate piecemeal, building several private houses on its territory, but was unable to obtain permission from Palm Beach City Hall.

Instead, Trump proposed turning his residence into an indoor private club. At the first hearings in the city council, held in May 1993, the personal lawyer of the future president, Paul Rumpell, presented the project of the club, at the same time assuring that Trump himself and members of his family were not going to live in Mar-o-Lago in the future.

“Another question I’m often asked is whether Trump will continue to live at Mar-o-Lago,” the lawyer said. rooms.”

The agreement with the city authorities included, among other things, restrictions on the number of members of the club (no more than 500 people), parking spaces for their cars, as well as the main point that the lawyers of Trump’s new neighbors now refer to: club members can live on the estate no more than seven days in a row only three times a year, and the total period of their stay in “Mar-o-Lago” cannot exceed 21 days a year.

Trump’s legal representatives and the future president himself signed this agreement.

The private club quickly became one of the most prestigious in the US. The entrance fee today is $200,000. In addition, members of the club must pay an annual fee of $14,000, and guests staying at Mar-o-Lago for one night will pay $2,000 per room.

The estate’s current value is $160 million, according to Forbes magazine, and the private club is still one of Trump’s few assets still generating income for its owner. Only in 2019year, for example, the estate reported a profit of $21.4 million.

Why do the neighbors want to evict Trump?

Over the past 25 years, Donald Trump has proven himself to be a rather troublesome neighbor.

In 1995, for example, he filed the first lawsuit against the county to change the routes of planes departing from Palm Beach International Airport. According to representatives of the future president, the noise produced by the airliners disturbs the guests of the private club. A settlement was reached in court, according to which Trump, among other things, received from the district authorities the right to preferential lease of an area of almost a hectare: it was there that the Trump International Golf Club was subsequently opened.

In 2010, the future president again sued the airport to halt the construction of a second runway, and in 2015 again appealed to the judicial authorities, stating that flights “create unacceptable levels of noise, emissions and pollution” in “Mar- o-Lago.” Trump estimated the damage at $100 million, but the court dismissed the claim.

In 1997, the future president attempted to sue the city government, alleging that the Palm Beach mayor’s office was seen discriminating against Jews, while a significant part of his club members were Jews.

The most famous, however, was the dispute between Trump and the mayor’s office over the height and size of the national flag. In 2006, a businessman erected a 24-meter-high flagpole on the territory of the club, on which an American flag 6×9 meters in size flew.

After that, the mayor’s office officially informed him that city rules forbid the installation of flagpoles more than 13 meters high, demanding that the structure be removed. The City Council also ordered Trump to pay a $1,250 per day fine until the flagpole was removed.

In response, the businessman filed a lawsuit, but the case eventually ended in a settlement agreement. Trump agreed to shorten the flagpole, the mayor’s office refused financial claims, but ordered him to donate $100,000 to charities helping veterans instead of paying a fine.

After Trump’s victory in the presidential election, the estate received the informal title of “summer residence” of the head of the White House. In four years, Trump visited Mar-o-Lago 30 times, spending a total of 99 days. In January 2017, a no-fly zone with a radius of more than 50 km was introduced around Palm Beach, and the US Secret Service introduced a special access regime for boats and yachts in the immediate vicinity of the club.

Image caption,

Trump supporters greet him on his way to Mar-o-Lago in Florida Personal inspection. Lantana Airport, which is closest to the club, regularly announced the complete cessation of all flights.

The construction of a helipad on the estate and the president’s plans to build a special pier for ocean walks caused protests from local residents. The local authorities did not give permission for the construction of the pier, and the helipad was declared a “temporary structure”, promising to be demolished immediately after the end of Trump’s presidential term.

In the fall of 2019, he announced his change of residence, officially moving from New York to Palm Beach. The reason was the tax claims of the prosecutor’s office for the Eastern District of New York.

Last December, attorney Reginald Stumbo sent the first letter to city officials accusing Trump of violating a 1993 treaty. The lawyer referred another complaint to the US Secret Service, stating that, in his opinion, excessive security measures create problems for local residents.

What are Trump’s lawyers saying?

This week, during a special meeting of the Palm Beach City Council, it was revealed that the former president has no intention of leaving his club grounds at all.

Trump’s lawyer John Marion says the 1993 agreement only applies to “members and guests of the club” and the former head of state is now one of the estate’s employees.

“He is now president of Mar-o-Lago,” the lawyer said. “He was president before he became president of the United States, and now he is president of the club again.”

Trump’s duties, according to his lawyer, include daily monitoring of the state of affairs in the estate, monitoring employees, checking financial documents and meeting guests of the club.

“He’s very active,” the lawyer said. “If you describe it, this guy, when he walks around the territory, behaves like the mayor of the city of Mar-o-Lago … This is his house.”

At the first City Council meeting, Palm Beach City Hall has yet to decide whether Trump can continue to use his club as a permanent residence. Both sides are invited to prepare new arguments before the beginning of April, when the city authorities promise to make a final decision.

What does Mike Pence have to do with it?

Coincidentally, former Vice President Mike Pence also had to deal with the housing issue after leaving the White House.

According to US media reports, he found himself homeless after leaving Washington and now enjoys the hospitality of his friends in Indiana. At the end of January, for example, Pence and his wife Karen settled in the guest house of state governor Eric Holcomb for several days.

Pence served in the US Congress for 13 years and served as Governor of Indiana from 2013 to 2017. After Trump’s election victory, he moved to the official residence of the US Vice President – the Naval Observatory in downtown Washington.

The Pence family still does not have their own housing, although, according to Washington, now they can afford it – the salary of the US Vice President is $ 235 thousand, and after resigning he is entitled to a solid pension and other benefits.

30 best attractions in Miami – description and photo

In this article we will look at the key attractions of Miami. Gorgeous beaches, the world’s best nightlife and endless shopping opportunities are just some of what Miami, Florida is known for. A trip here gives you more than just a pleasant experience. This is your chance to explore a range of unique neighborhoods, each with its own unique style, culture and architecture.

From the Art Nouveau buildings on Miami Beach to the colorful houses in Little Havana, Miami’s architecture and style has taken on the character and traditions of the many cultures that have coexisted here over time.

Miami Beach

Miami Beach.

Miami Beach is located on a barrier island and is connected to the mainland by several bridges. It is a vibrant mix of quiet residential areas, lively entertainment districts and luxurious beaches with warm soft sand.

Of greatest interest to tourists is the South Beach area and the historic Art Deco quarter with its pastel buildings of the 30s and early 40s and classic neon signs.

This rather expensive tourist area offers many beachfront restaurants, shops, hotels and places to enjoy the sun. Its most popular street is called Ocean Drive – it is a broken stretch of road along the waterfront, lined with beautiful Art Nouveau buildings.

Collins Avenue runs parallel to Ocean Drive one block away from the water. In fact, Collins Avenue is a federal highway under the letter A1A and at the same time the main street of Miami Beach, connecting numerous areas. The Boardwalk is perhaps the best place to walk along the coast of Miami Beach. The street stretches for more than four kilometers and neatly skirts the most beautiful beaches in the area.

Address: Miami Beach, Florida, USA.

A federal freeway known as the A1A passes through South Florida. In Miami, it is better known as Ocean Drive, and it is not far from Collins Avenue if you turn towards Miami Beach. Be prepared to meet thousands of people in swimsuits and swimming trunks along the way, a lot of nightlife, long beaches with clean white sand and a large number of people on roller skates along a special track parallel to the main road.

It’s full of palm trees, which ensure that even on the hottest day, you can walk comfortably along the coastal sidewalks, escaping the bright rays under the shade of the trees.

Art Deco Historic District

In the 30s, Miami Beach began to grow and develop strongly. That is why the city boasts an incredible amount of Art Deco architecture. Since this area is known precisely for its architectural color, therefore, the buildings located here are carefully protected and restored.

With over 800 examples of Art Deco architecture on South Beach alone, there’s no better place to walk in Miami. Despite the abundance of excursions offered, you can always walk around the area yourself in search of iconic sights like Plymouth or McAlpin. Be sure to check out the Bass Museum of Art, which has an impressive collection of artifacts from the early 20th century. Of course, the exterior of this building is made in the same familiar Art Deco style.

Address: Art Deco District, Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, USA.

Wynwood Walls area

Wynwood Walls area. | Photo: Phillip Pessar / Flickr.

If you are a big connoisseur of art, then you should definitely visit Wynwood Walls. This area is a real treasure trove of street art. More than 50 renowned artists from both Miami and other parts of the world took part in the design of the walls and houses.

There are six main buildings with painted walls, which once belonged to ordinary warehouses, but today turned into works of art. The graffiti changes frequently and the area itself is great for walking. Despite the fact that everything here can be viewed from the inside of your car, it is a walk “on your own two feet” that will give you the opportunity to feel the spirit of these places to the fullest.

Address: Wynwood Walls, Northwest 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida, USA.

Little Havana area

Tower Theatre.

If you want to experience the culture of Cuba, then the best place for this is Little Havana. The “Calle Ocho” or “8th Street” sign will let you know that you have come to the address. There are more Spanish names and speech here than anywhere else in Miami. Be sure to check out the Tower Theatre, an Art Deco cinema that still shows movies with Spanish subtitles.

Then head to the Azucar Ice Cream Company Café for delicious Cuban sweets like guava sorbet.

Address: Little Havana, Miami, Florida, USA.

Lummus Park

In the heart of the famous South Beach is located Lummus Park Beach – a beautiful city park. Situated on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, it is considered quite an iconic place that has been featured in countless movies, TV shows and music videos.

There is a paved walking path near the beach, but no one will stop you from walking straight on the sand and getting your feet wet in the cool waters of the Atlantic. Lummus Park Beach is the perfect place to start and end walking tours of Miami’s key attractions. It is just in close proximity to wonderful bars, shops, restaurants and old Art Deco houses.

Address: Lummus Park, Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, USA.

Villa
Vizcaya

Villa Vizcaya.

The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, simply called Villa Vizcaya by the locals, look like they came straight from Europe. Although the complex is located right on the shores of Biscayne Bay, the main building was built in the 20s in the style of the Italian Renaissance.

Once it was a private estate, but today it houses a museum, which has more than seventy rooms with objects of European art and antiques. Outside, the mansion is surrounded by lush gardens. Neat, manicured flower beds, shrubs and spreading trees make this villa a popular venue for celebrations and weddings.

Address: Villa Vizcaya, South Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida, USA.

South Beach

South Beach.

South Beach is a beautiful sandy beach located in the southern part of Miami Beach. This is the most popular beach in Miami and one of the best beaches in Florida, where in the summer there is nowhere for an apple to fall. It is nice to sunbathe here, enjoy the bright sun and swim in the bay, escaping the summer heat.

A transitional paved path stretches along the shore, and behind it is Ocean Drive, where convertibles with tourists go slowly to see the local attractions.

Address: South Beach Lifeguard Post, Miami Beach, Florida, USA.

Crandon Park

Crandon Park.

In the northern part of Key Biscayne is Crendon, a stunning beachfront park with something for everyone. It has its own magnificent three-kilometer beach, which is considered by many to be one of the best in all of Florida.

Also here you will have a chance to explore the local vegetation – the park is full of it. Walk along the golden sand dunes, walk through the roots of the mangroves and watch the stunning sea surf. If you prefer a more active holiday, then at your service are tennis courts, a golf course and even a marina, where many people come on their own ships.

Address: Crandon Park, Crandon Boulevard, Key Biscayne, Florida, USA.

Park
Bayfront

Bayfront Park.

Bayfront is a green urban park located in the heart of Miami. It borders Biscayne Bay so the views here are really amazing. Bayfront Park often hosts popular social events and shows. You may even be lucky enough to get to some major concert.

If not, you can always do yoga with a group of local enthusiasts. By the way, there is a school where you will be taught to walk on ropes stretched above the ground, which means that you can have fun enjoying the beauties of the beach and the bay!

Address: Bayfront Park, Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, Florida, USA.

Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden

Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden.

In the Wings of the Tropics winter garden you can see thousands of exotic butterflies, rare tropical fish and unusual plants. This is exactly what its founder, David Fairchild, dreamed of, who personally collected and planted many of the local plants.

Island
Jungle

Jungle Island.

Jungle Island is considered one of Miami’s most popular attractions. It is located on Watson Island and was formerly known as Parrot Jungle. In 1946, Winston Churchill himself, the legendary Prime Minister of Great Britain, came here.

This park is just a short drive from South Beach and downtown Miami. Thanks to modern technology, Jungle Island is ready to offer visitors an unforgettable immersion in the bosom of nature, so be sure to take the time to visit this amazing place. By the way, many animals here can be hand-fed.

the impression that you are on a real safari.

Of course, the Miami Aquarium, which has long been considered one of the most family attractions in the city, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world. Ancient
Spanish monastery

The nickname “Magic City” is not just assigned to Miami. Where else among such an abundance of entertainment can you find an original medieval monastery? Let’s start with the fact that this monastery called Saint Bernard de Clairvaux was built in 1141 in Segovia, Spain.

It is an amazing early Gothic and Romanesque cathedral that somehow moved to South Florida. What? The answer is both simple and complex. The fact is that in 1925, the famous philanthropist William Randolph Hearst saved the Spanish temple by simply buying it from the authorities. His people dismantled the shrine stone by stone, packed it in 11 thousand boxes and sent it by ship to America, where, in fact, it was restored almost in its original appearance.

At a meeting between US and Chinese leaders, Donald Trump and Xi Jinping agreed to expand cooperation on preventing North Korea’s nuclear program. This, according to the press service of the White House, following the results of negotiations between the delegations of the two countries, was stated by US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

Tillerson said that the country’s leaders “agreed to expand cooperation and continue to work with the international community in order to convince the DPRK to peacefully resolve the issue and abandon the programs to create prohibited weapons.”

In addition, according to Tillerson, Trump and Jinping managed to agree on the creation of a new system of dialogue between the two countries. “The Comprehensive Dialogue will be overseen by two Presidents and will have four pillars: Diplomacy and Security Dialogue; economic dialogue; dialogue on legal issues and cooperation in the field of cybersecurity and dialogue in the socio-cultural sphere,” Tillerson said.
