Laquetta “Joye” Aubrey
Owner & Executive Director / New Waverly, Texas
Mrs. Joye is a Houstonian who migrated to New Waverly in 1992. She felt that the community could benefit from her 40+ years she spent in the Child Care Industry. She graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelors Degree in Home Economics Education with an emphasis in Child Development, Early Childhood and Special Needs Children. She has also worked as a CPS Worker for the State, a Vendor Management Specialist for Neighborhood Centers Inc. and as a School Director in Houston.

Sherie Lucas
Director / Huntsville, Texas
Born in Florida, moved to Texas in 2008, and married with two children which she adores. She joined Denim and Diamonds in February of 2016. Sherie has her CDA and has completed 86 hours of college credits. Many hats are worn in the Child Care Industry;
Sherie has worn them all as many Directors of a Pre-School do. The many hats include Curriculum Planning, teaching, cooking,
bus driver, planning summer camp, etc.
She is a caring, unselfish, inspiring, and creative person who has enhanced the learning
environment of the students at Denim and Diamonds Pre-School. Her level of energy is what has made her successful as a Director.
She enjoys working with young children and takes great pride in nurturing the children and staff she works with.

Infants
Our infant program is designed to foster a stimulating, nurturing and safe environment with
stimulation our infants achieve milestones necessary for their growth and development.
Toddlers
The Abeka Curriculum for our toddlers fosters intellectual development. This is the beginnings of
forming friendships with one’s peers. The Curiosity and energy levels that toddler possess are utilized
in their development through communication which is an essential component to growth, creativity, music,
fine and gross motor skills along with social interaction.
Preschool & Pre-K
The Abeka curriculum’s introduction is a solid foundation for life skills and literacy. Our Preschoolers
are the first step towards the future. We provide the developmental and academics for them to explore an advanced
to a level of excellence and success. Our Curriculum sets the foundation for the success for our Pre-K program.
Before & After School
In our Before and After School Program children are provided with assistance with homework and fun
time afterwards. Academic are first and foremost a part of our programs.
Summer Camp
We provide fun and education through Field trips, scheduled inside activities, and Vacation Bible School.
Free Meals
Breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner (New Wavery location only) are available.
For bottle-fed children, families must provide prepared formula or mother’s milk placed in bottle. We will inform you of our policy regarding baby food.
Discounts
To help support our local community we offer discounts to Active Military, Policemen, Firemen, School Teachers, and TDC Personnel with valid identification.

All staff are CPR certified and are required to have 24-30 hours of new training per their anniversary year.
The Owner and Director of the New Waverly’s location has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Home Economics with emphasis in Early Childhood, Child Development and Special Needs and will conclude with a Master’s in Business.
