AMERICA’S MOST ACCREDITED

We’re so proud!

Nationally only 10% of daycares are accredited – nearly 100% of our learning centers are. That’s a big difference,
and that means KinderCare kids are getting the very best. Here’s why.

SCHOOL-READY

What Learning Looks Like

Our talented early-childhood teachers set kids down the path toward becoming lifelong learners in a positive, safe, and nurturing environment.

Sterling Heights KinderCare Programs

Infant Programs (6 weeks–1 year)

Leaving your baby in someone else’s care is a big step. Everyone at our
centers—most importantly, our naturally gifted infant teachers—will work with
you to make sure the transition goes smoothly. When you step into our infant
classroom, you’ll see how much we want your infant to feel safe, loved, and
ready to explore their world.

Toddler Programs (1–2 Years)

Everything in our toddler classroom is designed for little explorers. That’s
because a lot is going on at this age. When your child is wandering all over the
place, that means they’re learning and discovering new things every day. We’ll
help them explore their interests (and find new ones!) as they play and learn.

Discovery Preschool Programs (2–3 Years)

This age is filled with so much wonder and curiosity. That’s why we offer a ton
of books and toys and bring artwork down to kids eye level. Children in
discovery preschool also begin to learn how we all work together in a
classroom. Simple math and science, pretend play, and group play help them
get used to a more structured school setting.

Preschool Programs (3–4 Years)

This age is all about expression, when kids really start to form their own ideas
about what they want to play and how they want to create. Every day in our
preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create
artwork, and play pretend—all the skills needed for their big next step:
kindergarten!

Prekindergarten Programs (4–5 Years)

When you walk into one of our pre-K classrooms, you’ll see artwork and
writing displayed around the room. Labels are everywhere to help kids connect
letters with words. You’ll also see pictures on the walls that reflect the families
in our community. Your child will also deepen their knowledge in language,
math, science, Spanish, and social skills.

Before- and After-School Programs (5–12 Years)

You can count on us to provide reliable care for your school-ager while you’re
at work, with safe transportation from our center to your child’s school and
back! Whether your child wants to start a drama club, build a volcano, or
create a comic book, they will have a place to follow their dreams. Your child
will start and end the day with a whole lot of fun!

School Break Programs (preschool, prekindergarten, and school-age)

Winter break, spring break, summer break—when school’s out (but you still need to work), you
can count on KinderCare to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that’s focused
on fun. We welcome children ages 5–12 during school break times and make sure they have a
sensational, screen-free experience they won’t forget.

Participating Child Care Aware Center

KinderCare partners with Child Care Aware® of America to offer fee assistance for
Active Duty military families and flexible support to fit their needs when care at a Child
Development Center on the installation is not available.

Learning Adventures – Enrichment Program

Cooking Academy™ (3 – 12 Years)

In Cooking Academy, kids learn new recipes from cultures around the world and
develop a healthy relationship with food. They’ll whip up everything from Southwest
rainbow lettuce wraps to pumpkin muffins, building their skills in STEM, communication,
and more along the way. And yes—little chefs get to eat their culinary creations!

Music Explorers™ (2 – 4 Years)

KinderCare families are already giving a standing ovation to our newest Learning
Adventures program: Music Explorers! Kids will learn to sing, move, listen, play
instruments, and even create their own tunes. Our original curriculum blends math,
science, social studies, literacy, and mindfulness (think yoga!) for a uniquely KinderCare
way of learning the foundations of music.

Phonics Adventures® (2 – 4 Years)

Learning how to read is a whole lot of fun at KinderCare! We help kids grow to love
books and words (and get ready for kindergarten) in our Phonics Adventures program.
From discovering the basics of vowels to practicing poetry, kids learn all about letters
and sounds in small-group lessons made just for their age group. (Bonus: Kids who
attend our phonics program are more prepared than their peers for school—and we
have the data to prove it.)

STEM Innovators (3-8 Years)

You’ve probably heard a lot about how important STEM education is for your child, but
what does that really mean? Our STEM Innovators program takes kids’ natural ability to
make sense of the world and applies it to robotics, chemistry, coding, geology, and
more. While your child experiments, they’ll discover how to use technology to do
amazing things!

Happy Feet Soccer

Our Teachers

We’re the only company in early childhood education to select teachers based on natural talent. Being a great educator isn’t enough though.
KinderCare teachers are also amazing listeners, nurturers, boo-boo fixers, and smile-makers. Put more simply,
we love our teachers and your child will, too.

Meet just a few of our amazing KinderCare teachers!

A KINDERCARE TEACHER WITH

An Artist’s Heart

“My classroom is full of art!” says Mary Annthipie-Bane, an award-winning early childhood educator at KinderCare. Art and creative expression, she says, help children discover who they really are.

We put our best-in-class teachers in a best-in-class workplace. We’re so proud to have been named one of Gallup’s 37 winners of the Great Workplace Award.
When you put great teachers in an engaging center, your children will experience
an amazing place to learn and grow.

Family Stories

Don’t take our word for it. Hear what our families have to say about our amazing center!

  • My toddler is not a morning person at all, but when I ask her, “Are you ready for school?” she is so excited and cannot wait to be here! Ms. Leonela does a great job making sure my daughter has a great time doing art activities and having fun interacting with her friends. My daughter loves being around the teachers and staff and that puts a huge smile on me and my heart. The teachers always let me know how she is doing and the center sends me updates through email letting me know what my daughter is learning next based on her curriculum. I’m so glad to call his center our second home and definitely recommend parents to be part of the family!

    Jessica F.

    – KinderCare Parent

  • KinderCare is a great place for your kids to be when you have to go to work. Not only are the teachers helpful but are also caring. A great place for kids to learn, play, and be safe.

    Frank B. – KinderCare Parent
  • Everyone is friendly and the center is always clean. They send me home with pictures of my daughter learning and I love it, I would recommend them to everyone I know. I love the family environment.

    Lauren A. – KinderCare Parent
  • “My daughter is in the infant room and the teachers are amazing about keeping up with the things I’ve asked them for her and I am always getting fun pictures and art work with her prints on it.

    Amanda M. – KinderCare Parent
  • I love my kid’s teachers! My son is in Pre-K and Miss. Nicole sends home pictures and tells me fun things about what he is doing and saying every day and he absolutely loves her too!

    Amanda M. – KinderCare Parent
  • I want to personally thank the staff at the 16 Mile and Ryan location. They have gone above and beyond to help me. I am currently pregnant and high-risk.  I have been put on weight restrictions, so I am unable to pick up my son and put him in his car seat.   The teachers in the Infant and Toddler Room, as well as the Director and Assistant Director have brought my son to the car and put him in the car seat (and I strap him in.) They are all are a blessing in disguise. If they did not help (with picking up my son), I would have been on bed rest and would have been off of work for the duration of my pregnancy.   Everyone at the center are so amazing and caring. I definitely made the right decision bringing my son to that location, which happens to be further from my home.  Thank you all very much.

    Lena M. – KinderCare Parent
  • My daughter started school in early February this year and our experience has been amazing. She is so excited about the activities she have on a daily basis. Everyone welcomed her and made us so comfortable with EVERYTHING by being so caring and understanding! I think I love her school more than her. I have and will continue to recommend the Sterling Heights center to anyone.

    Monique B. – KinderCare Parent
  • I enjoy taking my daughter to KinderCare each day of the work week because I know she is in great hands there. There is a family feel I get from KinderCare and all of their employees, my child enjoys each day and has learned so much.
I would recommend KinderCare to anyone I know with a young child. The staff is wonderful and the programs they learn are so creative and educational, my child loves learning new things each day here.

    Lauren A. – KinderCare Parent
  • My daughter has built many warm, loving relationships here. I never worry when I am at work because I know she is in good hands.

    Holly R. – KinderCare Parent
  • We are first-time parents, and the decision to leave our daughter at day care was a difficult one. Her teachers and the entire staff are very caring and she enjoys going. This makes it much easier on us and getting pictures and daily reports help keep us aware of what she’s doing daily.

    Mercedes – KinderCare Parent
  • We love that we truly feel that our children are safe and well cared for at KinderCare. It is a great place for little ones to learn to interact with other children and to get excited about learning!

    Nicole L. – KinderCare Parent
  • I can’t thank the teachers enough for all that they have done for my daughter. From being shy and introverted, she has become confident and friendly. The entire staff at KinderCare is amazing and go out of their way to help the child and parents feel comfortable.

    Preeti G. – KinderCare Parent
  • My son has been enrolled at KinderCare since he was 12 weeks old. He is now almost 4 years old and already knows all his colors, shapes, letters and numbers. He learns educational and life skills with dramatic play and in group time. He comes home singing songs and he is excited to tell me all about his day. He looks forward to going to school to see his teachers and friends each day.

    Lisa L. – KinderCare Parent
  • I love that all of the teachers take the time to take pictures of the kids doing everything. As a working parent, I feel like I miss everything. I also love the pictures in the entrance way of kids from the center instead of random kids on a poster. Also, Ms. Mallory always takes the time to write notes about cute things or notes on things I need to know. I love that she is intentional with communication. It makes me feel informed and it’s nice to know the cute little things Kellen is saying and doing at school.

    Carrie D.

    – KinderCare Parent

  • Thank you so much Amber for the updates and pictures. It made my day to see my baby maneuver the “tools”.. I appreciate it so much that you guys take the time and effort to update parents. It makes me feel that my baby is in safe and loving hands.

    Adeeba – KinderCare Parent
  • I have been meaning to tell you and think that it is vital to note the extent of Ms. Jessica’s professionalism in the Pre-K room since the day Matt and I were first introduced to her. We are extremely pleased and always reassured that our daughter is in the best hands possible whenever we see Ms. Jessica. She is always there to answer my questions before I even have the chance to ask her myself. Like today, for instance she knew that our daughter took an hour and forty-five minute nap (not hour and a half), ate two helpings of lunch, had a good day, etc. She always is patient and is so respectful around the children. Ms. Jessica is a definitely a hard worker and we always have no choice but to feel comforted around her presence. Ms. Jessica is on top of everything, goes above and beyond and needs to be recognized in some way, hopefully the website is just one of the ways that parents can learn about her. She is definitely adored by our family.

Andrea and Matt – KinderCare Parent
  • KinderCare truly is my second family. Kelly, Kristen, Amber and Nancy made a new and challenging experience for a first-time mom not so bad! They always have understood my concerns and have been so accommodating of our work schedules. Everyone always keeps me up to date on his development, successes and struggles. I truly have a new thought process when it comes to the daycare experience because of my ladies at KinderCare!

    Amanda G.

    – KinderCare Parent

  • Thank you for all you do every day! I am so glad that you provide an atmosphere where I can feel comfortable knowing that my child is receiving the best care from the staff who truly cares about every child and their well being. We are so lucky to have found a place where Ryder enjoys coming each week and we know he is safe and happy and well cared for. Thanks!

Nicole and Joe L. – KinderCare Parent
  • My daughter and I are very happy with the KinderCare experience and miss all the teachers and friends over there! My daughter was three-years and four-months-old when she started at Sterling Heights KinderCare Preschool. She was able to understand English earlier, but not able to talk back. She did not know alphabet and number either. She was not very good in eating on her own and needed to be always fed by her mother or somebody else. She learned a lot in all the three aspects above. She speaks fluently in English and can understand what others say to her. She writes conversely A to Z and numbers 1 to 10. Sometimes she eats on her own at home too! The best part was that she never used to wait for me in the evening to be picked up from school, she enjoyed being in the school! I used to spend 10-15 minutes in the school in the evening before she was ready to return home! This is a wonderful experience! I found all the teachers well trained and nice with kids! I am glad that my daughter got the KinderCare schooling experience at a young age and will surely help her in her further education!

    Deepa K. – KinderCare Parent
  • My son has been going to KinderCare for about one year now, since he was 8 weeks old.  It is always tough to drop your child off when going back to work but the teachers made me feel so at ease.   They truly care for the children in their classroom.  They keep me informed about what he is doing in the class, what he can work on, and small achievements each week.  I am so thankful to have found such a wonderful group of people.

    R. Putnam – KinderCare Parent
  • My daughter is now three and has been going here since she was an infant. The staff are very loving and caring. Nancy, the Assistant Director, is great! Donielle who works in the Discovery Preschool classroom is amazing. My daughter loved her when she was in her class. The only thing that I haven’t liked is the summer time arrangements. They need better structure with the extra kids they get in the summer. Mixing ages does not go well and kids don’t get the attention they should. Better structure for summer programs is needed and hope it happens. Other than that, it’s been nice having my daughter here.

History

The plant was opened by Chrysler as part of its rocket division in 1953 to manufacture rockets. Nearby brand Sterling Stamping opened in 1965.

Following a plant upgrade in 2006, the assembly line and tooling of the outgoing Stratus (second generation) and Sebring were sold to GAZ and sent to that company’s plant in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. GAZ continued to produce the Dodge Stratus under license in that country until 2010, sold as the Volga Siber.

At , it was announced that the Sterling Heights assembly plant would close on but the related parts factory would remain open. Chrysler’s board of directors’ decision to produce the new 200 allowed the factory to build that model and save itself.

In 2010, Chrysler bought the plant from Old Carco LLC for twenty million dollars. The plant will retain 1,200 employees. Chrysler to Open New Paint Shop at Plant . This came after the announcement of an investment of $850 million at .

When the Chrysler 200 was discontinued at FCA announced that the Sterling Heights facility would receive a $1. 49 billion investment to retool so it could build the next generation Ram 1500 pickup truck to be handed over from the factory Warren Truck Assembly to assemble a brand new Jeep Wagoneer.
