I have an associates in ECE, a bachelors in Child and Family Development, and a masters in Educational Leadership with a principal certification. I am also a certified teacher in the state of Texas and ESL certified, with special needs/autism/sensory processing disorders experience. I am a Christian who worked in my churches nursery for 8 years, and was a youth leader for 3 years. Kids are my passion, and I’m leaving public education to work with smaller groups of children and to be able to actually TEACH! I love crafts, science activities, hands on everything, phonics lessons, math skills, and practical life lessons. I believe that you must develop the whole child from life skills, and social skills, to educational skills. I want kids to leave my academy overly prepared for head start, pre-K, and kindergarten. I am located in the Spring Hill School District. I have cameras on my facility and utilize Class Dojo to communicate with parents and share daily activities and upcoming events :)…

Korina does an excellent job with the children she teaches. She is very hands on and goes above and beyond to meet the needs of each and every child to a T. She has cameras on the property (which I think iswonderful). She’s just the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. My children love her and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with caring for my children. She’s a certified principal and has a masters degree in education. I really don’t think someone could be more qualified for childcare than Korina. She also has one employee who also does an incredible job with the children. I just really could go on and on about all the great things she does, but you’d just have to meet her for yourself to fully understand how dedicated Korina is to early childhood learning.

Longview The 45th largest city in the state of Texas.
The city is primarily located in Gregg County, of which it is the county seat; a small portion of Longview extends into the western part of neighboring Harrison County. Longview is located in East Texas where Interstate 20 and US Highways 80 and 259 converge north of the Sabine River. According to the 2010 US Census, the city had a population of 80,455. [2] The estimated population in 2019 was 81,631. [6] [7] Longview is the principal city of the Longview Metropolitan Statistical Area, including Gregg, Upshur, and Rusk County. The metropolitan area has a population of 217,481 according to the 2017 census. [8]
Longview was founded in 1870 and became a railroad route in East Texas; the city was also the first incorporated city in Gregg County. Today, Longview is considered a major center of the region, as is the neighboring city of Tyler. In 2014, Forbes Magazine ranked Longview as the sixth fastest growing small city in the US.

History
Longview was founded in 1870 by Ossamus Hitch Methvin Sr.
[10] In 1870, Methvin sold 100 acres (40 ha) to the Southern Pacific Railroad for one dollar to convince them to build their line towards the land he owned. Later that year, he sold another 100 acres (40 ha) for $500 in gold. He hoped that the construction of the railroad would increase the value of the rest of his land.
Methvin came up with the name of the city when he said: “What a long-term prospect!” from your home. In June 1871, Longview became the first town in Gregg County. [11] [10]
In 1884, the Elite Hotel Mobberley opened for business travel, catering to railroad travelers, and served as a social meeting center for Longview. The hotel features cherry wood furnishings with carved bedposts, marble washbasins, linen tablecloths, electric crystal chandeliers and a fireplace in every room. Mobberley was located in a key part of the city next to the station. The hotel burned down on June 13, 1965.

D. Reporter Chicago Defender was in Longview investigating the mysterious death of a black man named Lemuel Walters. An armed white mob attacked the house where reporter S.L. Jones, stayed behind and tried to break through. A shootout broke out between the attackers and the people in the house. In the end, Jones escaped. Then the white people started setting fire to the buildings in the black part of the city. [12]
In 1942 construction began on the Big Inch pipeline at Longview. From 1943 to 1945, the pipeline transported over 261,000,000 barrels of crude oil to the East Coast. [10] At the time of construction, the Big Inch and its smaller twin, the Little Inch, comprised the longest oil pipeline ever built in the world. Both were integral to securing the United States war effort in World War II.
After World War II, Longview’s population grew from 24,502 to 40,050 in 1960, driven by migration from rural Gregg County and the annexation of Greggton and Spring Hill.

Geography
Longview borders White Oak City to the west and is surrounded by many other cities, including Kilgore (southwest), Gladewater (west), Gilmer (northwest), Ore City (to north), Harlton (northeast), Hallsville (east), and Lakeport (southeast). It is 37 miles (60 km) northeast of the similarly sized city of Tyler.

Winters are mild. Average snowfall is less than 2 inches (5 cm), with one or two ice storms typically occurring each winter. Normal highs are in the 50s and 60s. The lows range from 30 to 40. In Longview, temperatures rarely drop below 20°F and can occasionally reach 80°F during the winter months. The spring season brings storms as the transition from winter to summer. Temperatures range from 60 to 80 for high and 40 to 60 for low. The average date of the last frost is 4 April. Heavy thunderstorms are common at this time of the year as cold fronts pass through.

Summers are hot and humid. The temperature rises slowly from 90 to over 100, dog days of summer; The lows are in the 70s. This is the driest and sunniest time of the year. The heat index can be as high as 110°F.
The fall marks the first cold front that knocks 100-degree temperatures into the 90s. Foliage begins to change in late October. The temperature cools and the dew point drops.

The racial and ethnic composition of the population was 56.2%. non-Hispanic white, 22.6% non-Hispanic black, 0.5% Native American, 1.4% Asian, 9.5% from another race, 2.3% from two or more races, and 18.0% Hispanic or Latino. The economy in Longview is healthy. Despite the national housing downturn, Longview is growing and home prices continue to rise. Some of Longview’s major economic sectors include the East Texas Oil Field, services, technology, and manufacturing. In 2007, Longview added several major chain stores to its north side. The addition of Kohl, two Starbucks, a new Target, a third Walmart supercenter on the south side, and several hotels means Longview is becoming a regional mall.
Keeping shoppers in Longview and away from Tyler, Dallas, and Shreveport was an important strategy for the city. Most of the new buildings were located on the north side around Hawkins Pkwy. and US 259, with smaller buildings on the south side near Estes Pkvi.
In October 2007, Longview was re-certified as a Texas Main Street City. The Texas Main Street program includes 89 cities, 10 of which are Main Street urban cities. In December 2007, Longview was designated a “Certified Retirement Community” by the Texas Department of Agriculture as part of its “Go Texan” initiative. Longview was also included in 2007 in the “Top 100 Cities for Young People”.
Longview is one of several East Texas cities that serves as the hub of the “patent troll” industry, as the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas is believed to be a favorable venue for patent infringement plaintiffs. [17]

In the markets, there are local ones on the market, which are the local network stations on the market. KYTX previously featured a Longview-focused informational release that ended in 2010. The station still continues to broadcast Longview news from its Longview newsroom. KFXK’s daily news release airs at 21:00 on weekdays.
There is no dedicated PBS affiliate on the market. The current PBS affiliate, KERA-TV Dallas is available on cable and the Dish Network. KLTS, the Shreveport affiliate of PBS, is available on digital cable and over the air in many parts of the city. DirecTV viewers in the market receive the national PBS channel.

The airport is known to pilots throughout the region for its large 3 km long runway. It served as a backup landing site for the US Space Shuttle. Public Transportation The city’s public transportation system, Longview Transit, operates daily except Sundays and holidays. Its fixed routes provide transportation to key areas of the city. City of Longview Transit (COLT) provides demand-based transportation services for those who cannot use Longview Transit’s regular fixed route services. [27] RailwayAmtrak passenger rail service is available at Texas Eagle through the downtown terminal. Amtrak’s Longview station is the second busiest station in Texas and the fourth busiest station along the Texas Eagle route . Daily trains between Chicago and San Antonio stop every morning (Chicago – San Antonio) and every evening (San Antonio – Chicago). On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Longview Station serves Chicago to Los Angeles trains. The return train from Los Angeles to Chicago stops at Longview on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday. It serves about 20-50 passengers per day. From the station, passengers can connect to Nacogdoches, Lufkin, Houston, and Galveston, as well as Shreveport, Louisiana, by bus. A proposal is in development for a high-speed rail system from Dallas/Fort Worth to Shreveport along the I-20 corridor, bringing this corridor to the for the first time since Texas and the Pacific since Louisiana Eagle in the 1960s Longview is served by two freight rail lines. In the second phase of the project, the road will be upgraded to a six-lane boulevard. Planned to launch in 2009year, TxDOT informed Longview officials that the funds had been withdrawn, causing Phase II to be suspended indefinitely. TxDOT explores the outer loop around the north side of Longview to complete the East Texas hourglass. The road will bypass Longview and Tyler and should start in 2012.
